Joe Biden Claims His Personal COVID Czar Is ‘Running the CDC’

President Joe Biden said Tuesday that his personal COVID-19 czar, Dr. Ashish Jha, is “basically running the CDC” at an event celebrating the authorization of COVID-19 vaccines for young children.

Biden made the remark Tuesday at a vaccination clinic sponsored by the District of Columbia Department of Health, which he visited with his wife Jill Biden. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended COVID-19 vaccines for kids under five years old last week. Biden pointed at Jha amidst a crowd to laud him for his efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Is the doctor here? I’m sorry, you see Dr. Jha, see that guy up there? He’s the guy that’s running the CDC for me these days,” Biden said. “And he’s up there, he’s standing on stage ready to perform.”

Dr. Jha does not, at least formally, run the CDC. (Read more from “Joe Biden Claims His Personal COVID Czar Is ‘Running the CDC'” HERE)

Joe Biden’s America: 92 Percent of Americans Say Gas Prices a ‘Serious’ Problem; Biden’s New Gas Tax Plan Will Backfire on Him – Here’s Why

By Breitbart. The vast majority of voters say the rising cost of gas is a “serious” problem in President Biden’s America, mere months ahead of the midterm elections, a Rasmussen Reports survey released Tuesday found.

Rising gas prices have emerged as a top voter issue heading into the midterms, which does not bode well for President Biden and Democrats, both of whom have continued to deflect, constantly blaming others for the current state of affairs in the country.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in April, for example, tied rising gas prices to “Russia’s unprovoked, vicious, nasty, bitter, invasion of Ukraine.” (Read more from “Joe Biden’s America: 92 Percent of Americans Say Gas Prices a ‘Serious’ Problem” HERE)

After Demonizing ‘Greedy’ Gas Companies, Biden’s New Plan Will Increase Their Profits

By Townhall. As President Biden makes his call for a federal tax holiday for unleaded and diesel gas taxes, there is — as usual — an irony that undercuts his supposedly brilliant idea to help Americans who’ve seen gas prices more than double in the less than two years since he took office.

The president’s plan, which relies on Congress for implementation, is to suspend federal fuel taxes for three months, a timeframe that conveniently runs up until just before the midterm elections as Biden’s party receives continually sinking approval for its handling of the economy. Biden also called for states to similarly waive their taxes on regular and diesel fuel, which a few have done already.

While state gas taxes vary, the federal taxes Biden is hoping Democrats in Congress will suspend amount to 18.4 cents per gallon for gasoline and 24.4 cents per gallon for diesel — saving Americans around 3.5 percent at the pump. According to Forbes, the average American would save less than $10 each month if the federal tax were suspended.

Not ‘Putin’s Price Hike’: Fed Chair Breaks With Biden on Inflation

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell on Wednesday broke with President Biden’s repeated attempts to blame Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine for the highest inflation in 40 years.

Powell, confirmed last month to a second term as chairman, explained to the Senate Banking Committee that “inflation was high before” the Feb. 24 Russian invasion of Ukraine, which increased global food and energy prices.

Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) elicited the remark from Powell at a committee hearing after laying out the fact that inflation grew higher over the course of 2021.

“I realize there are a number of factors that play a role in those historic inflation that we’re experiencing — supply chain disruptions, regulations that constrain supply, we’ve got rising inflation expectations and excessive fiscal spending, but the problem hasn’t sprung out of nowhere,” Hagerty said.

“In January of 2021, inflation was at 1.4%. By December of 2021, it had risen to 7% — a fivefold increase. Now, since the war in Ukraine began in late February, the rate of inflation has risen incrementally another 1.6% to a current level of 8.6%. So again, from 7% to 8.6%.” (Read more from “Not ‘Putin’s Price Hike’: Fed Chair Breaks With Biden on Inflation” HERE)

Biden Hails Dangerous COVID-19 Vaccine for Young Kids as Historic

President Biden on Tuesday pledged a smooth rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine for kids aged 6 months to 4 years old who can now head to pharmacies and doctors’ offices for them, giving the rollout a different look than efforts for older ages that featured converted gymnasiums and drive-thru centers.

Mr. Biden said the federal government’s website, Vaccines.gov, would be updated Tuesday so families can find vaccine sites and appointments.

“Finally, some peace of mind,” Mr. Biden said. “The United States is now the first country to offer safe and effective vaccines for children as young as 6 months old.”

Mr. Biden tried to stir enthusiasm for the shots from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna during a tour of a vaccine clinic in southeast Washington and remarks from the White House.

There may, however, be less enthusiasm for this part of the vaccine campaign because many people think the coronavirus does not cause severe disease in children. Federal officials note that 442 children in the newly eligible age group have died from the virus and thousands more were hospitalized. Whoops! White House Slip Up: Biden Has Prepared Americans to ‘Deal With a Recession’

The White House indicated Tuesday they are preparing for an economic recession, despite President Joe Biden’s assertion that it is “not inevitable.”

When asked about a possible recession in the United States economy, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre praised the president for his economic agenda.

“We see that our economic strength that we have seen from this past year from the action that the president has taken with the American Rescue Plan with what we have seen with the historic gains, that is going to help us deal with the recession,” she said before correcting herself during the daily press briefing on Tuesday.

“Right now, we don’t see a recession right now,” Jean-Pierre added. “We are not in a recession right now. Right now, we are in a transition.” (Read more from “Whoops! White House Slip Up: Biden Has Prepared Americans to ‘Deal With a Recession’” HERE)

POTUS Meltdown: Biden Snaps at Reporter for Asking About Disastrous Economy; ‘Don’t Make Things Up!’ (VIDEO)

By Townhall. . .The economy shrank last quarter. The next quarter is bound to be the same story. Two consecutive quarters of this is a recession. You all know the rules here. You could argue that we’re already in a recession. It will be made official soon enough. When asked about this at the Delaware Shore, Joe Biden snapped at the reporter, saying that the majority of his people don’t see that coming. He also said the reporter was acting like a Republican politician. He later said he was joking. Was he? Also, can someone tell Biden his own economic team does not count?

Biden Pushes Back at Reporter Over Recession Warnings: ‘Don’t Make Things Up!’

By Daily Wire. President Joe Biden was caught on video pushing back at a reporter on Monday who asked about a possible upcoming recession.

The incident occurred while Biden answered questions from media while walking on Rehoboth Beach in Delaware when a female journalist asked about some economists who have predicted such a downturn is looming.

“The majority of them aren’t saying that. Come on, don’t make things up, okay? Now you sound like a Republican politician. I’m joking. That was a joke, but all kidding aside, I don’t think it is,” Biden responded.

The exchange came after a Wall Street Journal survey of a group of economists reported on Sunday that the odds of the nation entering a recession in the next 12 months rank at 44%.

“Forecasters have raised recession probability due to a number of factors: higher borrowing costs, a blistering pace of inflation, supply-chain problems and commodity-price shocks stemming from the war in Ukraine,” the report stated. WATCH: Biden Makes Bizarre Comment About Death of a Business Leader in Latest Gaffe

President Joe Biden made a bizarre comment noting the death of a business owner and he’s facing more criticism on his latest gaffe.

Biden made the comments at the beginning of a speech at the White House where he offered his condolences to the family of Matt Susz, the executive vice president and chief financial officer of JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores.

“By the way, my sympathies to your – the family of your CFO, who dropped dead very unexpectedly,” Biden said.

“My best to their family, that’s tough stuff,” he added.

‘The Last 17 Months. In One Picture’: Biden’s Bizarre Bike Fall Hilariously ‘Inspires’ Americans

Joe Biden’s fall from his bicycle Saturday in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, is inspiring Americans who regard the plunge as a metaphor for what has happened to the nation as a whole with Biden in the White House.

They’ve taken to social media to create countless memes featuring either pictures of Biden’s actual fall, along with doctored photos and even creative videos examining the event.

Among those voicing their reactions is Sebastian Gorka, a former official in the Trump administration and Fox News analyst, who succinctly stated: “The last 17 months. In one picture.”

Poll: Americans Admit They’d Vote for Trump Over Biden

As inflation keeps rising and recession fears loom, a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll shows that Joe Biden is currently in the worst shape of his presidency.

The survey of 1,541 U.S. adults, which was conducted from June 10-13, found that if another presidential election were held today, more registered voters say they would cast ballots for Donald Trump (44%) than for Biden (42%)[.] . .

Biden’s job approval rating has been atrophying for much of the last year, and the new survey shows that it has never been weaker. A full 56% of Americans now disapprove of the president’s performance — the highest share to date — while just 39% approve. Three weeks ago, those numbers were 53% and 42%, respectively. Biden Says a Recession Is ‘Not Inevitable’

President Joe Biden said Thursday the American people are “really, really down” after a tumultuous two years with the coronavirus pandemic, volatility in the economy and now surging gasoline prices that are slamming family budgets. But he stressed that a recession was “not inevitable” and held out hope of giving the country a greater sense of confidence.

Speaking to The Associated Press in a 30-minute Oval Office interview, the president emphasized the battered economy that he inherited and the lingering psychological scars caused by a pandemic that disrupted people’s sense of identity. He bristled at claims by Republican lawmakers that last year’s COVID-19 aid plan was fully to blame for inflation reaching a 40-year high, calling that argument “bizarre.”

As for the overall American mindset, Biden said, “People are really, really down.”

“The need for mental health in America, it has skyrocketed, because people have seen everything upset,” Biden said. “Everything they’ve counted on upset. But most of it’s the consequence of what’s happened, what happened as a consequence of the COVID crisis.” (Read more from “Biden Says a Recession Is ‘Not Inevitable’” HERE)
