Biden Says His Great-Grandfather Was Accused of Being in a Group of Killer Coal Miners in Long-Winded Anecdote

President Biden claimed in a long-winded anecdote on Monday that his great-grandfather was rumored to have been part of a group of coal miners that would kill anti-Catholic mine foremen and lay the dead bodies “on the doorstep” of their family’s homes.

Vice President Kamala Harris nodded along as the 81-year-old president spun the strange yarn during his remarks to union workers in Pittsburgh, Pa., joking that he was “disappointed” to learn that his great-grandfather Edward Francis Blewitt was not a member of the “Molly Maguires.”

“I remember when my great grandfather was only the second Catholic elected statewide in the state Senate here in Pennsylvania,” Biden began. “And I remember they talked about – when they’d run against him in 1906 – they said, ‘Guess what? He’s a Molly Maguire.’”

The president explained that “back in the old days” Irish Catholics working in Pennsylvania coal mines were often mistreated by the foremen, and a group of recently arrived Irishmen, known as the Molly Maguires, violently retaliated against their oppressors.

“A lot of the English owned the coal mines,” Biden said. “And what they did was they really beat the hell out of the mostly Catholic population in the mines. Another Democrat Was Caught Lying About His Military Career

If there’s anything to learn from the past four years under the Biden Administration, it’s that Democrats and lying are synonymous with each other.

Another Democrat governor just walked back a recent claim he made about receiving a Bronze Star for his military service in Afghanistan.

Democrat Gov. Wes Moore (D-MD) admitted he made an “honest mistake” after he failed to correct two television interviewers who introduced him as a Bronze Star recipient despite never receiving the award. It wasn’t until the New York Times filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request after Moore applied to the White House fellowship in 2006, claiming he had received the Bronze Star.

“For my work, the 82nd Airborne Division have awarded me the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Action Badge,” Moore wrote on the application. However, the governor was only recommended for the award by his deputy brigade commander while serving overseas in the Army. He claimed his commander told Moore to include the award on his application “after confirming with two other senior-level officers that they had also signed off on the commendation.”

Moore said that Michael Fenzel, a former lieutenant colonel in Afghanistan, told him that he had received the Bronze Star and filed the paperwork for its approval process. ‘Uncommitted’ Nightmare Haunts Harris as CNN Interview Further Fractures Democrat Base

Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris is facing a severe crisis with the pro-Palestinian wing of her party after she doubled down on her and President Joe Biden’s Israel policies in her CNN interview Thursday.

CNN’s Dana Bash pressed Harris on arms policy toward Israel on Thursday night. After Harris initially skirted a direct question about potentially withholding “some” arms to Israel, as the pro-Palestinian Uncommitted movement has been demanding for seven months, Bash did not let her off the hook. Following up on the same question, she drew a “No” from Harris when she asked if there would be any “change in policy in terms of arms and so forth” towards Israel, igniting a frenzy of condemnation from prominent pro-Palestinian figures, including Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).

The response and the fallout underscore and worsen a massive problem for Harris, who has a fractured base heading into the home stretch of the election. These voters, more than half a million of whom protested the Biden-Harris administration with “uncommitted” votes in the Democratic primary, have threatened and continue to threaten to stay home in November, barring a radical change in policy or a cease-fire. The movement includes Arab Americans, Muslims, young voters, and far-left progressives.

Making the problem so severe for Harris is that the movement began in the ever-critical swing state of Michigan and spread to other key swing states like Wisconsin, places where the presidency is expected to be decided by a slim margin. Harris is on shaky ground, considering she still has not brought home her base at a point in the cycle where presidential candidates typically are focused on courting moderates.

Another aspect to contemplate is that if Harris does change course on this position, she runs the risk of looking that much more insincere to undecided voters on crucial issues. She has already waffled on a number of critical policy positions, including fracking, and polling shows the public views former President Donald Trump as the more genuine candidate by a wide margin. Regardless, the issue has festered so long that winning these voters back with words alone appears impossible. At this point, she needs a concrete stoppage in arms and a ceasefire, which are not on the horizon. If Donald Trump’s Sex Life is Fair Game for the Election, So is Kamala Harris’

Pundit and talk radio host Erick Erickson recently went on a rant about how “both parties have nominated terrible candidates whose supporters have decided to behave terribly to bully people into supporting their terrible candidate.” Erickson makes it known he’s still inclined to vote for Trump, but you’d think any prominent right-wing pundit who publicly expresses doubt about Donald Trump two months before the election would be chalked up as a win for Kamala supporters.

But then there’s the Leninist wing of Never Trump. Sarah Longwell, publisher of The Bulwark, a site largely run by fraudulent conservatives who are funded by left-wing billionaires to help Democrats win elections, really didn’t like Erickson’s tone:

Someone sent me a radio rant by @EWErickson about my disagreement with some at the Dispatch in which he said: ‘Kamala Harris has done nothing but climb the ladder of power since the moment she got up off her knees in front of Willie Brown to put it bluntly to you.’ Swell guy.

Setting aside Erickson’s crude imagery, I’ve covered Kamala Harris’ relationship history more extensively before, but here’s a summary of the facts as we know them: When Harris was a subordinate in the San Francisco DA’s office, she started dating Willie Brown, the most powerful man in California politics, who was 31 years older and married. After the current DA passed over Kamala Harris, a woman who failed the bar exam and is not exactly known for her mastery of the law, Brown was instrumental in alienating the existing DA, and was personally involved in raising money and running Harris’ successful campaign to get elected district attorney. Once in office, Harris let a number of Willie Brown’s friends off the hook when they were facing serious charges — including an egregious case where she let a city contractor and Willie Brown donor skate after endangering people’s lives after defrauding taxpayers by using cheaper, structurally unsound recycled concrete to build bridges and other important structures. This was all reported on in detail by local San Francisco media when it happened, who aren’t exactly in the business of pushing right-wing smears.

And yet, Sarah Longwell thinks Erickson is a bad person because he rather bluntly states the fact that Kamala Harris abased herself personally and engaged in political corruption at the behest of a man who demonstrably advanced her political career. I would have been more circumspect than Erickson, but 26 years after Bill Clinton’s “dalliance with an intern,” I’m supposed to believe Longwell and her colleagues are on their fainting couches because a pundit made a reference to oral sex? A video of Secret Service officers bullying Americans to get out of the way so Jill Biden can go shopping is prompting a new episode of speculation about her desire for power.

The situation developed as Joe and Jill Biden took yet another vacation, this a taxpayer-funded weeklong break in Santa Ynez, California.

Jill Biden and other family members apparently decided to visit nearby Los Olivos.

The Gateway Pundit documented, “Secret Service agents violently pushed peasants out of the way so Jill Biden could go on a shopping spree on Friday afternoon. Jill Biden made a ‘surprise visit’ in Los Olivos and bystanders with cameras were roughly cleared out.”

Democrat Lawmakers Dismiss Kamala Harris’s Price-Control Plan

A series of insider revelations have surfaced indicating that multiple Democrat lawmakers are privately dismissing Vice President Kamala Harris’s controversial grocery price-control plan, which has faced substantial backlash from economists and critics alike.

Politico reports that Democrat lawmakers are quietly signaling to concerned allies that Harris’s proposal, unveiled during her first policy-focused speech on August 16, is unlikely to advance through Congress. The plan, which has been described as “Soviet-style” by critics, aims to impose central price controls on food products. According to Politico, lawmakers have expressed doubts about the plan’s feasibility and effectiveness, with one anonymous Democrat describing it as a “lofty goal” and another admitting uncertainty about its operational mechanics.

An insider close to the White House has revealed that Harris’s plan does not effectively address the inflation issues plaguing the country. The insider remarked, “If we had a good tool, we’d definitely have used it,” suggesting that the administration’s attempt to address rising grocery prices is inadequate.

Data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) highlights a troubling 22 percent increase in grocery prices from January 2021 — when President Joe Biden and Harris first took office — to July 2024. Despite this, the Biden-Harris administration has downplayed inflation concerns, with White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre inaccurately claiming in June that prices for staple items like eggs and milk, as well as gasoline, have decreased.

According to Politico, several lawmakers and aides interviewed under anonymity have confirmed that Congressional Democrats are privately acknowledging the impracticality of Harris’s plan. A food industry official echoed this sentiment, labeling the proposal as “not a serious policy” and suggesting it is more of a political maneuver designed to deflect blame from the administration’s handling of inflation.

Criticism of the plan has been further amplified by Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell, who penned a scathing op-ed describing the proposal as a “sweeping set of government-enforced price controls” that would undermine market dynamics. Rampell warned that such a policy would replace supply and demand with bureaucratic control, potentially allowing agencies like the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to dictate prices for basic goods.

The DNC Has Just Been One Long Litany of Stupid, Obvious Lies

It almost goes without saying that what Democrats are putting on at the DNC this week in Chicago is a simulacrum of democracy, a mimicry of the excitement and drama that might have come from a deliberative process of Democrat Party voters choosing their presidential candidate.

None of it is real. The DNC has all the trappings of a major political party convention but without any of the substance. Not a single Democrat voter cast a primary ballot for Vice President Kamala Harris, yet Democrats are going through the motions as if that’s exactly what happened.

They even trotted out President Joe Biden—the putative head of the Democrat Party, whose reelection campaign was abruptly ended by party bosses against his will—late on the first night of the convention. It was a mere formality. Biden delivered a slurred, angry speech, full of lies and distortions, and then they shuffled him off to Santa Barbara for the rest of the week, rendering the sitting president a nonparticipant in his own party’s convention.

But Democrats’ fakery goes deeper than just pantomiming a democratic process after executing a coup against the sitting president. The Harris-Walz campaign branding of “joy”—repeated this week ad nauseum by the propaganda press—is obviously fake and forced. By running a campaign almost completely devoid of policy substance or any real interaction with the news media, consisting mostly of staged videos of Harris and Walz yukking it up on the campaign trail or delivering speeches via teleprompter at highly controlled rallies, Democrat Party leaders are essentially running a psy-op on the American electorate.

A big part of that psy-op is to lie and mislead brazenly about everything. On the opening night of the convention, Biden repeated the infamous “very fine people on both sides” hoax and the “suckers and losers” hoax, both of which anyone can easily look up in 30 seconds. He also claimed that 500,000 new electric vehicle charging stations have been created under his administration (the actual number is seven), among many other blatant falsehoods. Kamala Harris Sure Did Have an ‘Unexpected’ Path to Becoming the Democratic Nominee

On Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris formally accept the nomination at the DNC. The speech wasn’t remarkable. It was also boring and disorganized, with our friends at RedState highlighting particular moments.

Early on, Harris mentioned President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden. Tellingly, they weren’t present. Biden gave his speech on Monday night, at a shamefully late time, and left.

“When I think about the path that we have traveled together, Joe, I am filled with gratitude,” she claimed. It makes sense, considering he stepped aside so that she could replace him.

Even more telling, Harris declared that “America, the path that led me here in recent weeks was no doubt unexpected, but I’m no stranger to unlikely journeys.”

Harris didn’t earn a single vote in the 2020 or 2024 primaries. She ran for president for 2020 but dropped out in December 2019. Biden Suggests Trump Supporters Are Stupid at DNC: ‘Can’t Think, Can’t Read Very Well’

President Joe Biden’s speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Monday night has sparked controversy for its inflammatory rhetoric directed at supporters of former President Donald Trump. Biden took aim at Trump supporters with a disparaging comment about their intelligence and reading abilities.

In his speech, Biden questioned the nation’s educational system and blamed Trump and his allies for purported failures. “How can we be the greatest nation in the world without the best education system in the world?” Biden asked. “Donald Trump and his Republican friends, they not only can’t think, they can’t read very well.” The comment was met with laughter from the audience, but it has since drawn significant criticism from various quarters.

Biden’s remarks echo Clinton’s 2016 comments when she described Trump supporters as a “basket of deplorables.” At the time, Clinton faced intense backlash for labeling half of Trump’s supporters as part of a “basket” filled with individuals she deemed “racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic.” The Trump campaign had condemned Clinton’s remarks as a display of “true contempt” for everyday Americans, criticizing her for failing to maintain a positive campaign.

The Trump campaign was quick to respond, drawing parallels between Biden’s speech and Clinton’s earlier comments. “Just when Joe Biden was supposed to be uniting the country, he instead resorted to the same divisive tactics that Hillary Clinton used in 2016,” a Trump campaign spokesperson said. “These remarks reveal a deep-seated contempt for millions of Americans who support Trump and are disillusioned with the current administration’s policies.”

The Morons in Charge Finally Start Planning for the Threat They Deliberately Caused: A Joint Nuclear Attack by China and Russia

By New York Post. President Biden has signed off on a highly classified plan that shifts America’s nuclear strategy to focus on China as a nuclear threat — and prepare for the possibility that the communist nation could team up with North Korea and Russia against the US, according to a new report.

Biden made the shift in March because the Pentagon believes China’s nuclear arsenal will rival the US and Russia, the New York Times reported Tuesday.

The new strategy is called the “Nuclear Employment Guidance” and also readies the US for a possible coordinated threat between China, Russia and North Korea, the newspaper reported.

In a pair of recent speeches, two senior administration officials have hinted at the growing Chinese nuclear threat.

“The President recently issued updated nuclear weapons employment guidance to account for multiple nuclear-armed adversaries, and, in particular, the significant increase in the size and diversity of [China’s] nuclear arsenal,” said Vipin Narang this month when he was still the acting assistant secretary of defense of space policy. Report: Biden Secretly Altered U.S. Nuclear Strategy

By Washington Times. President Biden has reportedly altered the U.S. strategic nuclear plans toward opposing China’s burgeoning nuclear arsenal and preparing for possible nuclear coordination between China, Russia and North Korea.

According to a report Tuesday evening in the New York Times, the highly classified “Nuclear Employment Guidance” was altered in March without any public announcement.

“The document, updated every four years or so, is so highly classified that there are no electronic copies, only a small number of hard copies distributed to a few national security officials and Pentagon commanders,” the Times reported.

Congress is expected to be notified of the changes in unclassified form before Mr. Biden’s term in the White House ends in January.
