Biden Pick for Top Pentagon Post Pushed ‘Trump-Russia Collusion’

Colin Kahl, who President-elect Joe Biden announced Wednesday will serve in a top Pentagon position, pushed the now-debunked conspiracy theory that the Trump campaign conspired with the Kremlin to influence the 2016 election.

Kahl endorsed the collusion theory in a December 2017 essay for Foreign Policy and also boosted the now-debunked Steele dossier in posts on Twitter.

“The circumstantial evidence suggesting that the Trump campaign collaborated with the Kremlin to get now-President Donald Trump elected continues to mount,” Kahl, who was a national security adviser for Biden when he served as vice president, wrote in the Foreign Policy essay.

“But even if it turns out that there was no direct ‘collusion’ to shape the 2016 election, what we have learned so far — including most recently from retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s guilty plea this past week — is incredibly troubling.”

Kahl, who has served as national security adviser to Biden when he was vice president, held open the possibility that the Trump team did not directly collude with Russia, but he asserted that “the evidence is now irrefutable” that Trump, his associates and top Republicans “broadly conspired to give Moscow a pass despite (or perhaps because of) Russia’s attack on our democracy.” (Read more from “Biden Pick for Top Pentagon Post Pushed ‘Trump-Russia Collusion'” HERE)

Walmart Bashes U.S. Senator Challenging Election, Then Hits Panic Button

Walmart took a direct shot at U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., after he confirmed on Wednesday that he would challenge, in a joint session of Congress, Joe Biden’s apparent Electoral College win.

By calling him a “soreloser.”

But it quickly, very quickly, backtracked after his response, which asked the company to apologize for using slave labor, or at least for the “pathetic” wages the megacorporation pays workers “as you drive mom and pop stores out of business.”

It started when Hawley said he would raise objections next month when, during a joint session of Congress, members are supposed to adopt the Electoral College vote total described by the media as giving 306 votes to Biden, and 232 to President Trump.

His objections, and those of several members of the U.S. House, are based on evidence of vote fraud and election manipulation that has appeared in multiple swing states. (Read more from “Walmart Bashes U.S. Senator Challenging Election, Then Hits Panic Button” HERE)

Biden Plans Decriminalization of HIV Transmission

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s plan to “advance LGBTQ equality” includes a promise to decriminalize HIV exposure and transmission laws.

“In 2018, 26 states in America had HIV exposure criminal laws,” President-elect Biden’s plan reads under the subhead, “Decriminalize HIV exposure and transmission laws.”

“These laws perpetuate discrimination and stigma towards people with HIV/AIDS, and there is simply no ‘scientific basis’ for them,” the plan continues. “As President, Biden will support legislation like the REPEAL HIV Discrimination Act, which promotes best practice recommendations for states.”

The REPEAL HIV Discrimination Act directs the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Department of Defense (DOD) to conduct a review of laws, policies, regulations, and judicial precedents and decisions dealing with HIV and persons living with the virus.

The results of this review would be made public under this legislation and then the DOJ and HHS would create guidance and “an integrated monitoring and evaluation system to measure state progress.”

Big Tech Writes Its Ticket to the White House

Silicon Valley played an integral role in propelling Joe Biden to the White House. He raked in uncounted millions from liberal tech billionaires such as Netflix’s Reed Hastings, LinkedIn’s Reid Hoffman, and Apple heiress Laurene Powell Jobs; their employees shelled out $5 million more.

As Biden takes office, the techies want what they paid for. Reuters reports that executives at top firms like Amazon, Google, Facebook, and Microsoft are gunning for jobs at the Departments of Defense, State, Justice, and Commerce and also eyeing influential posts at the Federal Trade Commission and beyond.

They want two things: lucrative federal contracts and less scrutiny than they’ve gotten over the past four years, as President Donald Trump has made their bias against conservatives front-page news. The Department of Justice’s antitrust inquiry into big tech has already garnered bipartisan backing, including from a group of state attorneys general who have filed their own suit.

A Biden administration could make all of that go away. And it could ignore altogether these firms’ obsequious dealings with Communist China.

That explains the rush to fill seats: It’s unlikely that the techies moving into the Biden administration will check their business relationships at the door. Each hire is another pressure point for Silicon Valley’s most powerful to exploit. (Read more from “Big Tech Writes Its Ticket to the White House” HERE)

Weissman Doubles Down on Claim Trump and Associates Should Be Jailed

Joe Biden has insisted “it is time to turn the page, to unite, to heal,” but Andrew Weissman is among the Democrats who hasn’t gotten the message.

He’s still operating by the left’s mandate of the last four years to stop President Trump at all costs. Weissman, after all, was the “pit bull” of the special counsel investigation pursing the claim of Trump-Russia collusion that ultimately admitted it couldn’t find sufficient evidence.

The Independent newspaper of London reported Weissman claimed that Paul Manafort and Roger Stone, two Trump associates caught up during the Mueller investigation, could still could be in trouble after President Trump pardon them this week. . .

Weissman said Manafort and Stone could be forced to testify before a grand jury and, if caught lying, locked up.

Manafort was jailed for financial misdeeds and Stone was convicted of obstructing the House investigation into the debunked collusion claim. (Read more from “Weissman Doubles Down on Claim Trump and Associates Should Be Jailed” HERE)

If Biden’s Projected Education Secretary Nominee Signed off on This Garbage, He’s No Moderate

. . .Chrissy Clark at the Washington Free Beacon delved deeper and aptly noted that given what Biden’s projected education secretary pick mandated while running Connecticut’s schools; it makes him no moderate in any, way, shape, or form. I mean just look at who he worked with in creating this minority-studies course he mandated for the state. Ladies and Gentleman, this is Miguel Cardona, the commissioner of education for the state of Connecticut (via Free Beacon):

Joe Biden’s likely pick for education secretary helped create a mandated, statewide minority-studies course that “analyze[s] how race, power, and privilege influence group access to citizenship, civil rights, and economic power.”

Miguel Cardona, the current Connecticut commissioner of education, played a key role in creating the curriculum for Connecticut’s required course in African-American, Black, Puerto Rican, and Latino studies. The curriculum supposedly helps students “consider the scope of African American/Black and Puerto Rican/Latino contributions to U.S. history, society, economy, and culture” and is rooted in “critical race theory,” which claims that America is intrinsically racist. As the state’s commissioner of education, Cardona oversees all educational programming.

On Dec. 2, the Connecticut State Board of Education unanimously approved the curriculum for the mandatory course, which students will be required to take beginning in the fall of 2022. The curriculum is only mandatory for high school students, though other K-8 school systems are also changing their curricula along similar lines.

WATCH: When Finally Asked About Hunter, Joe Biden Retreats To Debunked Russian Disinformation Conspiracy Theory

. . .On Tuesday at a press conference, Biden was asked by Fox News’ Peter Doocy if he still believes the story is Russian disinformation now that his campaign has admitted the corruption investigation is real. After laughing for an odd moment, Biden replied, “Yes, yes, yes,” before chiding Doocy for asking him about it.

This is an astounding claim from Biden given that we now know that the DOJ has had a long and ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes. The investigation is serious enough that Attorney General William Barr kept it secret so it would not influence the election.

Over the past two months, Joe Biden himself has never disputed a single reported aspect of the story. So on what basis does he believe that this is all Russian disinformation?

Biden has grown accustomed to a media that won’t ask him hard questions, but he is about to appoint a new attorney general whose job is to oversee a department that is investigating his own son. If Biden really believes there is no legitimate case against his son, that this is all a plot by Vladimir Putin, then how can we trust him with that choice? Biden Won’t Discuss Hunter Biden Investigation With Attorney General Candidates

A top aide for Joe Biden said the president-elect would not discuss the investigation of his son Hunter with any of his candidates for attorney general, even after one takes office.

Jen Psaki, picked by Biden to serve as his press secretary, also declined on Sunday to say whether the incoming president would keep the U.S. attorney known to be investigating the younger Biden.

She was asked by Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday about whether David Weiss, the U.S. attorney for Delaware known to be investigating at least Hunter Biden’s taxes, would be allowed to finish the job, and about what Biden thinks about President Trump considering appointing a special counsel to look into Biden’s son.

“He will not be discussing an investigation of his son with any attorney general candidates, he will not be discussing it with anyone he is considering for the role, and he will not be discussing it with a future attorney general. It will be up to the purview of a future attorney general in his administration to determine how to handle any investigation,” Psaki said. “As you know, U.S. attorneys are — that’s a personnel decision. We’re far from there in the process, given we haven’t announced an attorney general. … But we’re going to allow the process to work how it should, which is for the Justice Department to be run independently by the attorney general at the top.”

Hunter Biden has been under criminal investigation stretching as far back as 2018 as federal authorities scrutinize his taxes and foreign business dealings, and while the full scope of the federal inquiries have not been made public, the 50-year-old’s financial transactions with China are likely at the forefront. President-elect Biden’s campaign, along with many in the media, had dismissed the Hunter laptop story and other allegations as being part of a Russian disinformation operation, even though Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said he had not seen “intelligence that supports that … Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign.” (Read more from “Biden Won’t Discuss Hunter Biden Investigation With Attorney General Candidates” HERE)

Joe Biden’s Niece Gets No Jail Time After DUI Guilty Plea

Joe Biden’s niece Caroline Biden pleaded guilty to DUI on Dec. 3 — and was sentenced to 20 days to six months of “confinement,” Pennsylvania court records said.

But the small print shows Biden, 33, won’t see a day behind bars after she negotiated a plea deal with the Montgomery County district attorney.

Instead of jail, she got five-plus months of probation, with 20 days of rehab in January counted toward her sentence.

The walk-free plea continues a long Biden family tradition of avoiding jail time. A Post investigation in July found at least eight other busts of Bidens resulted in wrist slaps.

“She will be on probation … Should she then violate or break the law at any time, then she will be on the hook for the rest of the sentence,” Kate Delano, a DA spokeswoman told The Post. (Read more from “Joe Biden’s Niece Gets No Jail Time After DUI Guilty Plea” HERE)

Biden: Hunter Accusations ‘Kind of Foul Play’ That Is ‘Used to Get to Me’

President-elect Joe Biden said he suspects a political agenda is the driving force behind accusations surrounding the federal tax investigation into his son Hunter.

“We have great confidence in our son. I’m not concerned about any accusations that have been made against him. It’s used to get to me. I think it’s kind of foul play, but look, it is what it is,” the incoming president told CBS’s The Late Show on Thursday.

Biden added, “And he’s a grown man. He is the smartest man I know, I mean, in pure intellectual capacity. As long as he’s good, we’re good.”

When host Stephen Colbert asked the president-elect whether any politicization of the investigation would stop him from working with congressional Republicans, he said no if their work “benefits the country.”
