Biden Won’t Discuss Hunter Biden Investigation With Attorney General Candidates

A top aide for Joe Biden said the president-elect would not discuss the investigation of his son Hunter with any of his candidates for attorney general, even after one takes office.

Jen Psaki, picked by Biden to serve as his press secretary, also declined on Sunday to say whether the incoming president would keep the U.S. attorney known to be investigating the younger Biden.

She was asked by Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday about whether David Weiss, the U.S. attorney for Delaware known to be investigating at least Hunter Biden’s taxes, would be allowed to finish the job, and about what Biden thinks about President Trump considering appointing a special counsel to look into Biden’s son.

“He will not be discussing an investigation of his son with any attorney general candidates, he will not be discussing it with anyone he is considering for the role, and he will not be discussing it with a future attorney general. It will be up to the purview of a future attorney general in his administration to determine how to handle any investigation,” Psaki said. “As you know, U.S. attorneys are — that’s a personnel decision. We’re far from there in the process, given we haven’t announced an attorney general. … But we’re going to allow the process to work how it should, which is for the Justice Department to be run independently by the attorney general at the top.”

Hunter Biden has been under criminal investigation stretching as far back as 2018 as federal authorities scrutinize his taxes and foreign business dealings, and while the full scope of the federal inquiries have not been made public, the 50-year-old’s financial transactions with China are likely at the forefront. President-elect Biden’s campaign, along with many in the media, had dismissed the Hunter laptop story and other allegations as being part of a Russian disinformation operation, even though Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe said he had not seen “intelligence that supports that … Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign.” (Read more from “Biden Won’t Discuss Hunter Biden Investigation With Attorney General Candidates” HERE)

Joe Biden’s Niece Gets No Jail Time After DUI Guilty Plea

Joe Biden’s niece Caroline Biden pleaded guilty to DUI on Dec. 3 — and was sentenced to 20 days to six months of “confinement,” Pennsylvania court records said.

But the small print shows Biden, 33, won’t see a day behind bars after she negotiated a plea deal with the Montgomery County district attorney.

Instead of jail, she got five-plus months of probation, with 20 days of rehab in January counted toward her sentence.

The walk-free plea continues a long Biden family tradition of avoiding jail time. A Post investigation in July found at least eight other busts of Bidens resulted in wrist slaps.

“She will be on probation … Should she then violate or break the law at any time, then she will be on the hook for the rest of the sentence,” Kate Delano, a DA spokeswoman told The Post. (Read more from “Joe Biden’s Niece Gets No Jail Time After DUI Guilty Plea” HERE)

Biden: Hunter Accusations ‘Kind of Foul Play’ That Is ‘Used to Get to Me’

President-elect Joe Biden said he suspects a political agenda is the driving force behind accusations surrounding the federal tax investigation into his son Hunter.

“We have great confidence in our son. I’m not concerned about any accusations that have been made against him. It’s used to get to me. I think it’s kind of foul play, but look, it is what it is,” the incoming president told CBS’s The Late Show on Thursday.

Biden added, “And he’s a grown man. He is the smartest man I know, I mean, in pure intellectual capacity. As long as he’s good, we’re good.”

When host Stephen Colbert asked the president-elect whether any politicization of the investigation would stop him from working with congressional Republicans, he said no if their work “benefits the country.”

WATCH: Trump Thanks God for Sending Jesus to ‘Redeem the World’ in Powerful Christmas Message That’s Gone Viral

While U.S. President Donald Trump’s Christmas message this year made during the Dec. 3 National Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at the White House did not capture mainstream media attention, it continues to reverberate with Christians around the world.

At a time when some politicians would deem it politically incorrect to say “Merry Christmas” in public and would certainly not dare to speak about Jesus in the public square, Trump not only boldly wished Americans a “very, very Merry Christmas,” he went on to speak about the true meaning of Christmas in eloquent words that many Christians would be hard-pressed to hear from the pulpit.

Here’s what Trump said:

Biden Already Orchestrating Campaign Against 2nd Amendment

. . .There’s no doubt that the Democrat intends to move against traditional firearms owned by millions of Americans, but most expected it to be after Jan. 20.

However, the Washington Examiner reports Biden already has released a statement stating “gun violence is a national health crisis.” . . .

“Every year, more than 30,000 people die from gun violence across America — a statistic we would associate with war in a far-off place,” claimed Biden. He apparently was copying a comment from twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton that included suicides in its total. . .

Fox News reported Jennifer Dillon, who previously was Biden’s campaign manager, has called for “mandatory buybacks” of guns.

“We are actually the only campaign with a plan … that supports mandatory buybacks of weapons of war,” she stated at the time. “An assault weapon ban is very, very important, and we need to have it. But that only takes weapons of war off the streets in the future. It does nothing for weapons of war that are currently out there.” (Read more from “Biden Already Orchestrating Campaign Against 2nd Amendment” HERE)

Trump Fires Back at McConnell After He Congratulates Biden: ‘Too Soon to Give Up’

President Trump shot back at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell after the Kentucky Republican conceded that Joe Biden is president-elect of the United States. . .

McConnell explained that the “Electoral College has spoken” before congratulating Biden and complimenting Vice President-elect Kamala Harris for becoming the first female to hold that office in U.S. history.

Trump has launched legal challenges across the country, citing widespread voter fraud in an attempt to challenge November’s election, which has been certified and now voted on by the Electoral College.

Still Fighting: White House Refuses to Recognize Biden as President-Elect Following Electoral College Vote; Arizona State Senator Subpoenas Maricopa County for Election Audits; Legislative Committees Slap Multiple Cities With Election-Related Subpoenas

By Washington Examiner. White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany declined to echo Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s acknowledgment of Joe Biden as president-elect.

“The president is still involved in ongoing litigation related to the election,” McEnany told reporters on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Electoral College met across the country to affirm Biden’s win, giving the president-elect 306 votes to President Trump’s 232, 37 days after multiple outlets called the Nov. 3 election in Biden’s favor on Nov. 11.

McEnany, instead, referred questions to the Trump campaign, describing the electors meeting as “one step in the constitutional process.” (Read more from “Still Fighting: White House Refuses to Recognize Biden as President-Elect Following Electoral College Vote” HERE)

Arizona State Senator Subpoenas Maricopa County for Election Audits

By Washington Examiner. An Arizona state senator subpoenaed the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, demanding audits of Dominion Voting Systems machines used in the state’s largest county.

Arizona state Senate President Karen Fann announced that Eddie Farnsworth, a Republican who is the chairman of the state Senate’s Judiciary Committee, served the subpoenas on Tuesday.

“Today, under my direction as Senate President, Judiciary Committee Chairman Eddie Farnsworth issued subpoenas to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. One subpoena calls for a scanned ballot audit, to collect an electronic ballot image cast for all mail-in ballots counted in the November 2020 general election in Maricopa County, Arizona. The second subpoena calls for a full forensic audit of ballot tabulation equipment, the software for that equipment and the election management system used in the 2020 general election,” Fann said in the statement obtained by the Washington Examiner.

“The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors were served these subpoenas on Tuesday afternoon, and they call for the information to be delivered to the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman on or before 5 p.m. on December 18, 2020. I appreciate Board Chairman Clint Hickman’s commitment to the integrity of the Arizona election process, and I know he shares all of our concerns,” Fann added. Michigan Legislative Committees Slap Multiple Cities With Election-Related Subpoenas

By Townhall. The Michigan Legislature’s House and Senate oversight committees on Tuesday voted to subpoena election materials from Detroit and its suburb, Livonia.

The cities have been instructed to turn over all hard drives, communications with poll workers, absentee counting boards and any other election-related materials.

The joint committee is also interested in reviewing documentation about voting machines, including when they were purchased, what previous elections the machines were used in, and the accuracy tests that were conducted on the machines.

Detroit and Livonia were asked to turn over policies relating to the Wuhan coronavirus, including instructions given to poll workers and the rules guiding ballot challengers. (Read more from “Michigan Legislative Committees Slap Multiple Cities With Election-Related Subpoenas” HERE)

Black Lives Matter Responds After Being Ignored by Joe Biden

Shortly after the media projected Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as winners of the 2020 election last month, Black Lives Matter sent a letter to the pair congratulating them and asking for a meeting. After all, the group’s support wasn’t going to come for free. . .

According to a recent BLM Instagram post, however, the group is still waiting.

“On the night of the Biden Harris victory, BLM sent a letter requesting a meeting,” read the description next to a graphic explaining it’s been 32 days and the group has heard nothing.

“Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Rep. Cedric Richmond met with several civil rights groups yesterday. We weren’t invited. Black life cannot wait. Creating thriving conditions for Black communities in the 21st century cannot be put on pause.

“As the organization leading the largest global social justice movement, we demand a seat at the table,” the statement continued. “To ignore us—and the 64,000 of you who have signed our petition—is to ignore our generation’s most pressing demands for transformative justice.”

Joe Biden Admits to Having a ‘Bit of a Cold’ at Speech

President-elect Joe Biden blamed his raspy voice and bouts of coughing during his post-electoral vote speech on a “bit of a cold” — after it sparked concern among viewers.

The former vice president addressed the nation after electors in the 50 states and the District of Columbia confirmed that he had won 306 electoral votes to President Trump’s 232 — but his voice sounded hoarse at times and he repeatedly paused to cough or clear his throat.

“Biden keeps coughing and clearing his throat. Is he ok?,” one viewer asked on Twitter, echoing the concern of many. . .

In a call afterward with supporters, Biden admitted he was ailing a little, although it was nothing to be worried about.

“Thank you, I have a little bit of a cold, I’m sorry, but look, you know, you did it, you did it, not a joke,” Biden said during the livestream, according to Fox News. (Read more from “Joe Biden Admits to Having a ‘Bit of a Cold’ at Speech” HERE)
