Trump Administration to Start Transition Process for Biden; Trump Says He is “NOT CONCEDING”, Biden Announces Administration Picks; Election Dispute Will Continue

By Daily Wire. The Trump administration will begin the formal transition process for the incoming administration of Democrat Joe Biden, according to a letter from the administration.

The announcement from General Services Administration (GSA) Administrator Emily W. Murphy comes after House Democrats demanded earlier in the day to be briefed on why the process had not already started.

Trump Not Conceding, Election Dispute Will Continue

By Beyza Binnur Donmez. Hours after reportedly advising his team to begin “initial protocols” for a transition of power, US President Donald Trump said he will “never concede to fake ballots”, protesting media reports that alleged he has given up.

Trump’s remarks came as many of the news reports saw his transition move as a way of admitting defeat against President-elect Joe Biden, but he reiterated that he will continue legal battles. (Read more about Trump not conceding despite the transition process HERE)

Biden to Nominate CNN Analyst for Secretary of State

By The Washington Free Beacon. Another media figure is joining the incoming Biden administration. The president-elect’s team announced over the weekend Biden’s intention to nominate CNN global-affairs analyst Antony Blinken for the role of secretary of state.

Blinken, in addition to his role at CNN, is a cofounder and managing partner of WestExec Advisors, a “strategic advisory firm that offers unique geopolitical and policy expertise to help business leaders make the best decisions in a complex and volatile international landscape.” He also served as a deputy in the Obama administration from 2013 to 2017.

Starting one’s own “strategic advisory firm” is one of the more conventional ways in which selfless public servants ensure they become rich enough to afford a life of selfless public service. The job of secretary of state, for example, pays a mere $210,700 a year. Multinational corporations will pay a lot more than that for strategic advice from politically well-connected media analysts.

Though the practice is typically frowned upon when Republicans do it, Democrats can often count on journalists and other liberals to defend them for simply having “participated in society” by raking in cash from corporate clients while their Democratic colleagues routinely badmouth those clients in public. Biden Will Nominate First Women to Lead Treasury and Intelligence, and First Latino to Run Homeland Security

By The New York Times. President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. plans to name Janet L. Yellen as Treasury secretary, a nomination that would put a woman in charge of the Treasury for the first time in its 231-year history.

The expected appointment came as Mr. Biden moved to fill other top cabinet roles, selecting Alejandro Mayorkas as the first Latino to lead the Department of Homeland Security and Avril Haines as the first woman to be the director of national intelligence.

Mr. Biden is also expected to create a new post of international climate envoy and tap John Kerry, a former secretary of state who was a chief negotiator for the United States on the Paris climate change accord. Ways Joe Biden Magically Outperformed Election Norms

In all the excitement among objective journalists for Joe Biden’s declared victory, reporters are missing how extraordinary the Democrat’s performance was in the 2020 election. It’s not just that the former vice president is on track to become the oldest president in American history, it’s what he managed to accomplish at the polls this year.

Candidate Joe Biden was so effective at animating voters in 2020 that he received a record number of votes, more than 15 million more than Barack Obama received in his re-election of 2012. Amazingly, he managed to secure victory while also losing in almost every bellwether county across the country. No presidential candidate has been capable of such electoral jujitsu until now. . .

President Trump gained more than ten million votes since his 2016 victory, but Biden’s appeal was so substantial that it overcame President Trump’s record support among minority voters. Biden also shattered Barack Obama’s own popular vote totals, really calling into question whether it was not perhaps Biden who pulled Obama across the finish lines in 2008 and 2012. . .

Biden is set to become the first president in 60 years to lose the states of Ohio and Florida on his way to election. For a century, these states have consistently predicted the national outcome, and they have been considered roughly representative of the American melting pot as a whole. Despite national polling giving Biden a lead in both states, he lost Ohio by eight points and Florida by more than three. . .

Randy DeSoto noted in The Western Journal that “Donald Trump was pretty much the only incumbent president in U.S. history to lose his re-election while his own party gained seats in the House of Representatives.” Now that’s a Biden miracle! Mattis: Joe Biden Must Eliminate ‘America First’ From U.S. Foreign Policy

Former Secretary of Defense James Mattis declared in an article in Foreign Affairs on Monday that the “America First” foreign policy had damaged national security, and called on Joe Biden to “eliminate ‘America first’” from U.S. strategy. . .

In his new article, however, Mattis says the opposite, calling for the “end of America First”:

The United States today is undermining the foundations of an international order manifestly advantageous to U.S. interests, reflecting a basic ignorance of the extent to which both robust alliances and international institutions provide vital strategic depth. In practice, “America first” has meant “America alone.” That has damaged the country’s ability to address problems before they reach U.S. territory and has thus compounded the danger emergent threats pose.

In January, when President Joe Biden and his national security team begin to reevaluate U.S. foreign policy, we hope they will quickly revise the national security strategy to eliminate “America first” from its contents, restoring in its place the commitment to cooperative security that has served the United States so well for decades. The best strategy for ensuring safety and prosperity is to buttress American military strength with enhanced civilian tools and a restored network of solid alliances—both necessary to achieving defense in depth. The pandemic should serve as a reminder of what grief ensues when we wait for problems to come to us.

Joe Biden: Why Are Reporters Asking Me Questions? (VIDEO)

By The Federalist. Former Vice President Joe Biden isn’t used to getting real questions. On Friday, Biden appeared dumbfounded as to why a reporter was asking the projected Democratic presidential-elect a question as the press pool was being scurried away by staff.

“Mr. Biden, the COVID task force said it’s safe for students to be in class. Are you going to encourage unions to cooperate more to bring kids back to classrooms, sir?” asked CBS reporter Bo Erickson.

“Why are you the only guy that always shouts out questions?” Biden said.

It was a bizarre episode for the 78-year-old Democrat, who enjoyed the least amount of media scrutiny on the campaign trail of any modern candidate running for president. While serious revelations were emerging, revealing Biden’s role in his son’s potentially criminal overseas business dealings, reporters asked hard-hitting questions such as what kind of ice cream Biden purchased at a pit stop.

Biden Expected to Make Trip to Georgia to Stump for Ossoff, Warnock

By Fox News. President-elect Joe Biden will likely visit Georgia to boost campaign efforts for the two Democratic candidates in the January Senate runoff, according to his top aide.

The president-elect’s newly named Chief of Staff Ron Klain said on Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that Biden is likely to visit Georgia, as Democratic victories for both Senate candidates would result in a 50-50 split in the upper chamber of Congress.

“Winning those two Senate seats in Georgia is important, but we’re going to do everything we can to help those two … great candidates in Georgia,” Klain said. “We’ve already moved people who were working on the Biden campaign on the recounts down there over to be supportive in the field work for our two candidates down there, and I expect you’ll see the president-elect travel down there before Election Day.” (Read more from “Biden Expected to Make Trip to Georgia to Stump for Ossoff, Warnock” HERE)

BLM Calls on Biden to Back a Crazy Progressive ‘Civil Rights’ Bill

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors on Friday penned an OpEd in Teen Vogue calling for the next president to back the BREATHE Act, something she calls “modern-day civil rights legislation.” Of course, the major backers behind the legislation are Squad members Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).

Specifically, Cullors says there needs to be “holistic treatment” for things like drug dependency and mental health issues and an end to the cash bail system “that punishes people for being poor.” The BLM leader takes issue with mandatory minimums and “over-policing.” . . .

Here’s what she said the legislation does:

It starts by divesting federal resources from vehicles of harm and punishment like policing and incarceration. That means slashing enormous police budgets. That means decriminalizing drug use and repealing other federal laws that have for too long been used to disproportionately criminalize Black women, children, and families. BREATHE will put us on the road to police and prison abolition, letting our loved ones out of federal prison and immigration detention facilities and building nurturing reentry systems to welcome them home and put them on the path to success and citizenship.

… BREATHE will provide organizations rooted in their communities with the funds to create public safety systems uniquely tailored to their community’s needs and incentivize states to decarcerate and defund.

Poll: Most Voters – Including 1 in 3 Democrats – Want Special Counsel to Investigate Biden

A majority of registered voters say that if Joe Biden is sworn in as president, a special counsel should be appointed to investigate Biden-family business deals with communist China, Ukraine and possibly Russia.

That includes nearly one in three Democrats, according to a Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

The survey found 52% favor a special counsel, including 81% of Republicans and 32% of Democrats.

“It’s not at all surprising that Republicans overwhelmingly believe a special counsel should be appointed,” Rasmussen told Just the News. “It’s also not surprising that nearly half of Independents agree. What is stunning is that 32% of Democrats support the idea.” . . .

Among very liberal voters, 42% say a special counsel is warranted. (Read more from “Poll: Most Voters – Including 1 in 3 Democrats – Want Special Counsel to Investigate Biden” HERE)

Biden’s Pick for Deputy Chief of Staff Worked On Beto’s AR-15 Confiscation Plan

Jen O’Malley Dillon, Joe Biden’s pick to be his deputy chief of staff, used to work on former Congressman Beto O’Rourke’s (D) failed presidential campaign and went into further detail about his AR-15 confiscation plan.

During a Democratic primary debate in 2019, O’Rourke infamously declared, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47!” to a rousing applause from the audience.

In a video posted after his comment, Dillon touted how O’Rourke’s campaign was the only campaign that had such an extreme measure.

“We are actually the only campaign with a plan…but a plan that supports mandatory buybacks of weapons of war. The assault weapon ban is very, very important and we need to have it, but that only takes weapons of war off the streets in the future, it does nothing for weapons of war that are currently out there,” Dillon said.

WATCH: Joe Biden’s Warning for Americans Who Don’t Follow Thanksgiving COVID Demands

Former Vice President Joe Biden issued remarks regarding guidance on Thanksgiving gatherings amid the COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday, suggesting the 2021 holidays could be similar to those of 2020 if guidance is not followed.

In a Tuesday news conference, Biden said, “Let me tell you what the health experts have said to me. They strongly urge that if, in fact, we’re gonna have Thanksgiving with anyone that we limit it to a maximum … 10 people, socially distanced, wearing masks. And people who have quarantined. Jill and I spent this morning like many of you trying to figure out what are we going to do for Thanksgiving. … We’ve narrowed down which family members, and that they were just tested — recently tested within 24 hours.”

Biden said that there should be no more than 10 people per room — and ideally, just five — during Thanksgiving celebrations, and all people in attendance should be masked.

“I would strongly urge for the sake … of your children, your mother, your father, your sisters, your brothers, whoever you get together at Thanksgiving. Think about this: There should be no group more than 10 people in one room … inside the home … and to be masked. It saves lives.

Proposed Biden Gun Tax Could Top $34 Billion

American gun owners could face tens of billions of dollars in new taxes to keep the guns they already own under Democrat Joe Biden’s gun ban and tax plan.

At least 20 million rifles and 150 million ammunition magazines would be caught up in the sales ban and registration scheme Biden touted on the campaign trail, according to a National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) report. The new taxes would cost Americans more than $34 billion, according to a Washington Free Beacon analysis.

NSSF told the Washington Free Beacon the sheer number of affected guns and magazines could pose a significant problem for Biden’s gun-control plans.

“I think if [Biden and his team] were smart, they would look at those numbers and get an idea of where America stands on gun ownership and gun rights,” NSSF spokesman Mark Oliva said.

Biden wants to ban new sales of AR-15 rifles and similar firearms as well as any ammunition magazine holding more than 10 rounds—sizes that come standard on most modern rifles and handguns. He would pay some owners to surrender the affected guns they legally own and force everyone else to register the guns under the National Firearms Act. The proposal would require owners to pay a $200 tax stamp for each item. (Read more from “Proposed Biden Gun Tax Could Top $34 Billion” HERE)

GOP Senator: What Biden ‘Knew’ Is a Potential ‘Extortion Threat’ (VIDEO)

It might, or might not, actually involve an FBI special counsel investigation like what Democrats orchestrated against President Trump with their now-debunked claims of Russia collusion back in 2016, but those reviews of the behavior of Hunter Biden and his father, Joe Biden, are going to continue.

That’s from Senate Republicans, who already have started looking at those suspicious activities.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., the chief of the Homeland Security Committee, has told the Washington Examiner that whatever the result of President Trump’s challenges to faulty vote-counting across the nation, the work will continue. . .

At the time, State Department officials raised concern about an apparent conflict of interest because Burisma was under investigation for corruption. Joe Biden later publicly boasted that he threatened to withhold American aid to Ukraine if the president didn’t fire the country’s top prosecutor, who was investigating Burisma. . .

Explained Johnson, “Both Sen. [Chuck] Grassley [R-Iowa] and I are not going to turn a blind eye to this. I can’t speak for him, but certainly our staffs are continuing to work on this. We’ll continue to gather more information as it becomes available. But let’s face it, as much as I was criticized by some, at a minimum, what our investigation has done by exposing this, it’s diffused, to a certain extent, some of the counterintelligence and extortion threats.” (Read more from “GOP Senator: What Biden ‘Knew’ Is a Potential ‘Extortion Threat’ (VIDEO)” HERE)
