WATCH: Biden Wants to Put Beto in Charge of Gun Control?

Last night, Allahpundit speculated that if Biden had cut a deal with Pete Buttigieg to get him to step aside before today’s cascade of delegates being awarded, it would probably involve making him the head of Housing and Urban Development. In terms of the way business normally gets done in the swamp, that’s not a bad bet. After all, it’s the department where you can stick almost anyone and they won’t wind up doing too much damage even if they majorly mess up.

But what about Beto O’Rourke? For some reason, he was on the stage last night endorsing Uncle Joe as well. Does he get some sort of consolation prize for hopping on the “moderate” bandwagon and helping to defeat Bernie Sanders? When the Big Reveal arrived last night, Biden offered a hint as to what the future may hold for the failed Senate and presidential candidate. O’Rourke will “take care of the gun problem” in the country.

What does that even mean? Gun control is a law enforcement issue. Could Biden actually be considering putting O’Rourke in as Attorney General? Looking over his resume, you will find that Beto has just about the least qualifications imaginable for such a position. He was an English major in college and worked a series of what were basically odd jobs before becoming a perennial candidate for public office. Even in Congress, none of the committees he sat on had anything to do with gun control or any other law enforcement activities. In reality, the sum total of O’Rourke’s involvement with the law was being arrested for burglary and fleeing the scene of his DUI accident.

Super Tuesday Results; Warren Finishes Last; Biden Confuses His Wife for His Sister During Super Tuesday Victory Speech (VIDEO)

Biden Surges to Victory Across Super Tuesday Map, as Sanders Claims Delegate Prize in California

By Fox News. Former Vice President Joe Biden surged to victory in Super Tuesday contests across the South and beyond, while Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., claimed gold in delegate-prize California – divvying up the map on the biggest primary day of the season and indicating a tight battle between the two that is likely to drag on for weeks or more.

The second-biggest contest, in Texas with 228 pledged delegates, is currently too close to call. With 77 percent of precincts reporting, Biden is ahead of Sanders by 3 percentage points. Because delegates are awarded proportionally, both candidates are likely to receive a similar share of delegates from Texas regardless of the ultimate winner of the popular vote there.

Maine’s race call is also outstanding. With 64 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders and Biden are within one percentage point.

But the headline of the night was the former vice president’s remarkable comeback after his poor performances in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada earlier this year. Biden won the most contests Tuesday – though who came out ahead in the delegate race remains unclear – and certainly outperformed expectations from just a week ago. . .

Biden so far is projected to win Massachusetts, Minnesota, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Sanders handily won his home state of Vermont and later racked up wins in Colorado and Utah, in addition to California, Fox News projects. California and its 415 delegates amounted to the biggest prize on the map on Tuesday. By Townhall. Polls are closed in Massachusetts, and the race was a three-way fight between Sens. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and former Vice President Joe Biden. Super Tuesday always presented a fight for Sen. Warren, especially to win her home state. Sen. Warren has indicated that she will not exit the race tonight.

Biden is projected to be the winner of the Massachusetts primary, followed by Sen. Sanders in second and Sen. Warren coming in third in her home state.

Biden Confuses His Wife for His Sister During Super Tuesday Victory Speech

By Washington Examiner. Joe Biden opened up his victory speech on Super Tuesday by confusing his wife for his younger sister.

“It’s a good night. It’s a good night, and it seems to be getting even better,” the former vice president said Tuesday. “They don’t call it Super Tuesday for nothing.”

“This is my little sister Valerie,” Biden said, pointing to his wife. He quickly realized his mistake and said, “You switched on me!”

WATCH: Biden Slips Into Southern Drawl After Declaring South Carolina Victory; Bizarrely Claims He was Arrested in South Africa; Now He’s Already Making Excuses for Super Tuesday

By Breitbart. Former Vice President Joe Biden slipped into using a Southern accent while addressing supporters after a resounding win in the South Carolina primary.

Biden, who on Saturday won his first nominating contest despite having run for the presidency twice before, was all smiles at his victory party. Some on social media, however, noticed that the former vice president seemed to take on a Southern accent while speaking.

“If Democrats nominate me,” the 77-year-old Biden said midway through in his regular voice, before switching into an affected southern accent, “I believe, we can beat Donald Trump.”

The bizarre moment comes after a week of pronounced Biden gaffes while campaigning throughout South Carolina. First, Biden told an uncorroborated story about having been arrested while attempting to visit Nelson Mandela in a South African prison sometime in the late-1970s. The story, which vexed both allies and critics, was quickly walked back, but not before generating headlines. Biden Calls SC Primary ‘Real Comeback’ as He Sets Sights on Super Tuesday

By Fox News. Former Vice President Joe Biden called his victory in Saturday night’s South Carolina Democratic primary “a real comeback” as he looks to carry momentum into the upcoming Super Tuesday primaries.

Biden, who appeared on “Fox News Sunday,” seemed confident that the South Carolina win shows he can challenge his Democratic presidential primary rival Bernie Sanders and reclaim the mantle as his party’s front-runner in the race to battle President Trump in November’s general election.

“It’s a big boost,” Biden said. “I think it starts the real comeback and we picked up a lot of delegates.” (Read more from “Biden Calls SC Primary ‘Real Comeback’ as He Sets Sights on Super Tuesday” HERE)

Biden Is Already Making Excuses for Super Tuesday

By Townhall. Having finally won an election, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is already making excuses ahead of Super Tuesday. Biden won a decisive victory in South Carolina on Saturday, but 14 other states are voting this week, and some of the polls aren’t looking very promising for the gaffe-prone former veep. On NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, host Chuck Todd asked the candidate about his prospects on Super Tuesday, specifically in California where some 416 delegates are up for grabs. Biden refused to set any specific standards to measure his performance ahead of Tuesday’s elections.

“What is a good night for you in California?” Todd asked the candidate.

“Again, I’m not going to speculate what’s good and bad,” Biden told Todd. “We have had limited funds to begin with, number one. Number two, the first two caucuses and primary did hurt the campaign in terms of whether or not people thought that we were likely to win, and it did have some impact.” . . .

“Look, I haven’t had the kind of money that Bernie’s been working on for a long, long time here, and he’s done a great job of it,” Biden admitted. “I haven’t had that kind of staff. I have a significant number of endorsements and quality people from the mayor of Los Angeles to Barbara Boxer to people like Diane Feinstein and serious, serious people in the state. But that’s not enough. It’s hard to put people on the ground when you haven’t had the tens of millions of dollars other people have had.”

But money doesn’t seem to be helping Michael Bloomberg either, who trails Biden in both California and national polls. It didn’t help Tom Steyer, who had a lot more money than Biden, and also the decency to drop out following another loss in South Carolina on Saturday.

Trump Trolls Biden for Suggesting Half Our Country Killed in Gun Violence

By Breitbart. During his March 2, 2020, North Carolina rally President Trump trolled Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden for suggesting half our country was killed in gun violence.

Trump said, “Did you see…[where Joe Biden said] 150 million people were killed by guns in our country. 150 million? That means 50 percent of our country. That’s a big story.”

Biden made the claim during the February 25, 2020, Democrat debate, while criticizing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act. That act shields gun makers from frivolous lawsuits in scenarios where the gun in question was legally made and legally sold. Trump Sets His Sights on Biden as Democratic Endorsements Roll in

By NBC News. As key Democratic figures coalesced behind Joe Biden, President Donald Trump lobbed an extended attack at the former vice president at a rally here hours before the Super Tuesday contest.

Seeking to raise doubts about Biden’s acumen, Trump seized on his most recent gaffes, like slipping and referring to Super Tuesday as “super Thursday,” claiming 150 million people were killed by guns since 2007, and saying he was running for Senate rather than the presidency.

“Maybe he gets in because he’s a little more moderate,” Trump said of Biden. “But he’s not going to be running it, other people are going to. They’re going to put him into a home and other people are going to be running the country and they’re going to be super left radical crazies.”

Trump’s attacks came as a flock of current and former Democratic Party officials threw their support behind Biden Monday following his weekend victory in South Carolina, partly in an effort to block Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. from securing the nomination.

“You see what’s happening right there now, it’s being rigged against Crazy Bernie,” Trump said, repeating a common Twitter theme he often deploys in an effort to stoke dissent among Democrats. (Read more from “Trump Sets His Sights on Biden as Democratic Endorsements Roll in” HERE)

Biden Slams Trump’s Handling of Coronavirus in Rant Filled With Lies and Hypocrisy

Following his victory in the South Carolina primary, former Vice President Joe Biden did a Sunday morning political talk show blitz in an effort to continue building momentum behind his candidacy as he and the Democratic field head into the “Super Tuesday” election on March 3. One way that Biden is working to position himself as his party’s front-runner is by attacking President Donald Trump.

Asked by ABC host George Stephanopoulos how his administration would have handled the federal response to the coronavirus differently, Biden went on a rant that was riddled with falsehoods and hypocrisy. . .

Biden began his answer by stating that his response to the coronavirus would have been “fundamentally different” from Trump’s handling of the matter. He then cited the Obama administration’s handling of the Ebola virus as an example of his own experience handling virus outbreaks and attacked Trump for “putting someone in charge [Vice President Mike Pence] who is not a scientist.”

There’s only one problem: The person whom Biden and former president Barack Obama named as the country’s “Ebola Czar” in 2014 was Ron Klain, the former vice president’s chief of staff. Klain was also not a scientist. In fact, he is a longtime Democratic political operative. . .

In his diatribe, Biden also accused President Trump of “muzzling scientists.” This is not true. (Read more from “Biden Slams Trump’s Handling of Coronavirus in Rant Filled With Lies and Hypocrisy” HERE)

WATCH: Biden Accidentally Tells South Carolina Crowd He’s a Dem Candidate ‘for the United States Senate’

Former Vice President Joe Biden made an unfortunate gaffe just days before the critical South Carolina primary, telling voters he’s a Democratic candidate for the “United States Senate.”

Biden was one of several 2020 hopefuls to attend the South Carolina Democrat Party’s First in the South Dinner, where he reportedly received the longest ovation of any of his competitors. . .

“You’re the ones who sent Barack Obama the presidency. And I have a simple proposition here: I’m here to ask you for your help,” Biden pleaded to Democratic voters. “Where I come from, you don’t go very far unless you ask. My name’s Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United State’s Senate. Look me over. If you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden. Give me a look though, okay?”

Biden, a former senator, has called South Carolina is “firewall,” hoping to clinch his first primary victory after having disappointing turnouts in Iowa and New Hampshire as well as coming in at a distant second in Nevada last weekend. Biden Vows To Take Gun Manufacturers Down

By Breitbart. During a Monday night speech in South Carolina, Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden referenced gun manufacturers and said, “I’m going to take you down.”

He made this statement after referencing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (2005). The PLCAA is designed to shield gun manufacturers from lawsuits in scenarios where the guns in question were legally made and legally sold.

Biden has repeatedly criticized the existence of that law on the campaign trail, most recently in Las Vegas on February 19, and in New Hampshire earlier in the month. (Read more from “Biden Vows To Take Gun Manufacturers Down” HERE)

Biden Slams Sanders Over Brady Bill Vote In Speech To Gun-control Activists

By Fox News. Former Vice President Joe Biden took aim Thursday at Sen. Bernie Sanders’ record on gun control, calling him out for voting against the 1993 Brady Bill.

“Too many Republicans — and some Democrats, like Bernie Sanders — voted five times against the Brady Bill that I was passing,” Biden said at a meeting in Nevada with the anti-gun group Moms Demand Action. “Five times against background checks and waiting periods.”

The Brady Bill requires a waiting period for handgun purchases and a background check on those who wish to purchase handguns. Biden claimed the legislation kept weapons out of the hands of three million people.

Twice in 1991 and again in 1993, Sanders voted against a version of the bill that would enact a mandatory waiting period for background checks. He voted for a bill in 2003 and 2005 that protects gun companies from lawsuits if their weapons are used for crime. The National Rifle Association (NRA) backed Sanders’ 1990 congressional campaign after his opponent, Republican Peter Smith, came out in support of an assault weapons ban. WATCH: Joe Biden Has ANOTHER Freak out on Reporter

Joe Biden has described President Donald Trump’s immigration policies as “an assault on human dignity” and an example of “cruelty and callousness.” The former vice president has gone as far to falsely claim that, unlike Trump, he and Barack Obama “didn’t lock people up in cages. We didn’t separate families.”

However, a Mexican-American journalist is taking Biden to task for misrepresenting the Obama administration’s immigration policies. In an interview with Univision’s Jorge Ramos, the Spanish-language reporter confronted Biden on his distortions. . .

“At that debate in Houston, you said this about the Obama-Biden administration, and I quote, ‘we didn’t lock people in cages,’ but you actually did,” Ramos told Biden, noting that the Trump administration has detained more immigrants. . .

Confronted with photographic evidence, a visibly uncomfortable Biden was forced to admit that, despite his past assertions, the Obama administration did detain migrant children. . .

“You know you’re not telling the truth here about the comparison of the two things,” he said. (Read more from “WATCH: Joe Biden Has ANOTHER Freak out on Reporter” HERE)

Joe Biden: An AK-47 Won’t Protect You From the Government (VIDEO)

By Daily Wire. Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden said on Sunday that he believes that having a “rational policy” on guns means making sure that people can’t have “50 clips in a weapon,” which is gibberish, and said that a person would need a lot more than an AK-47 to take on a tyrannical government.

Biden made the remarks on the campaign trail in New Hampshire while talking about why kids learn active shooter drills in school, saying, “because we’re unwilling to have a rational policy that says you cannot have 20, 30, 40, 50 clips in a weapon.”

Biden also claimed: “I now have over 58% of the NRA members acknowledging that you cannot own an assault weapon. There is no need for it. You can’t have a magazine that is more than 10 rounds in it.”

The Daily Wire contacted The National Rifle Association (NRA) to inquire about which poll Biden got his statistics from and was informed that Biden’s claims are false because the NRA is a private organization that does not give out information on its members, let alone for polling purposes.

Joe Biden Doubles Down in NH: Sue Firearm Companies for Criminal Gun Use

By Breitbart. Joe Biden used his gun control time at the New Hampshire Democrat debate to call for Americans to be able to sue firearm makers over gun crime.

Biden segued into these comments by criticizing Bernie Sanders for supporting the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), a law that prohibits frivolous lawsuits against manufacturers of firearms, which are legally made and sold.

Biden said Sanders’ support for that law was a “mistake” that gave “gun manufacturers … a loophole that does not allow them to be sued for the carnage they are creating.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Doubles Down in NH: Sue Firearm Companies for Criminal Gun Use” HERE)
