At Debate, Biden Promises He’ll Have a Female Vice President; Earlier, Biden Campaign Apologizes After He Wanders off Camera in Middle of Livestream Town Hall

By Joey Garrison. Joe Biden committed to picking a woman as his running mate during Sunday’s televised Democratic presidential debate while Sen. Bernie Sanders said “in all likelihood” he would also choose a female vice presidential candidate if he’s the nominee.

“My administration will look like the country and I commit that I will in fact pick a woman to be vice president,” the former vice president said. “There are a number of women who are qualified to be president tomorrow. I will pick a woman as my vice president”. . .

Adding diversity to the Democratic ticket is widely seen as a priority for a party that now has two white men, both in their late 70s, as its top two candidates.

The only women vice presidential candidates to be on a ticket are Rep. Geraldine Ferraro in 1984 and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in 2008. Ferraro ran with Walter Mondale for the Democrats and Palin ran with John McCain for the Republicans. No woman has ever been elected vice president or president. By Pluralist. Joe Biden’s Democratic presidential campaign apologized after he wandered off camera on Friday during a glitch-plagued livestream event.

The campaign emailed viewers after the Facebook livestream was derailed by multiple production failures and apparent on-screen gaffes by Biden, according to Breitbart News.

“Tonight, you tuned in to our first ever virtual town hall. And unfortunately, we had some technical difficulties. That’s our bad,” the campaign said in the email. . .

The Verge described the Zoom-hosted livestream as a “technical nightmare,” and CNN called it a “technical calamity.” In its headline about the event, Fox News described it like a terminally ill patient.

Jordan Uhl, a liberal activist and political consultant, mocked the “bizarre, meandering livestream.” He noted that Biden at one point turned away from the camera and walked off screen while answering a question about endangered species.

A ‘Never Biden’ Movement Vows Not to Vote for Joe

On Tuesday night, Joe Biden’s campaign was celebrating his latest primary night triumph.

By Wednesday morning, #NeverBiden, #WriteinBernie and #DemExit2020 hashtags began trending on Twitter.

There’s no question it’s been a banner two weeks for Biden. But lurking in the background of his sudden ascension to all-but-presumptive nominee is evidence that at least some Bernie Sanders supporters might not migrate to him in November, weakening him in the general election. . .

Though it’s unclear how widespread or adamant the #NeverBiden contingent is — will they really stay home when the alternative is another four years of President Donald Trump? — the misgivings at least put the Biden campaign on notice that it has significant work to do to bring along Sanders’ base. Biden Taps Coronavirus ‘Expert’ Who Thinks 75 Is the Perfect Age to Die

For a pandemic that seems particularly fatal for the elderly, Joe Biden has tapped a so-called “expert” to advise him about the Wuhan coronavirus. The only problem with the “expert” is that he believes people should die before they get too old, saying he himself wishes to die at the age of 75. Biden is 77.

The former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate has decided to create a “Public Health Advisory Committee” to inform him about the coronavirus while the candidate campaigns for the White House. Biden is trying to paint a picture of himself as an informed, capable leader who can spearhead this nation’s way out of anything. On Friday, the candidate and his team couldn’t figure out how to run a virtual town hall.

One of the Democratic advisers picked to join Biden’s advisory committee on the Wuhan virus is Obamacare architect and noted bioethicist Ezekiel Emanuel. In keeping with the Democrats’ culture of death, Emanuel wrote a piece for The Atlantic titled, “Why I Hope to Die at 75.”

In Emanuel’s piece, the author talks about how everyone thinks he’s crazy for wishing to die at 75 but believes “75 is a pretty good age to aim to stop.” For those wondering, Emanuel is 62 years old. . .

This is just the kind of thinking Joe Biden wants on his health advisory committee during the coronavirus. The average age of those who have died from the Wuhan virus in the United States is 81 years old, and 25 of the nearly 50 deaths in the United States reported so far have been linked to a single nursing home. WATCH: Recent Examples of Joe Biden’s Cognitive Decline That Should Concern Us All

. . .I’ve reviewed recent Biden gaffes to compile what I believe to be the best examples of evidence of Biden’s cognitive decline. There are plenty of gaffes not included here. For example, Biden not knowing what city or state he’s in is something we’ve seen from politicians who travel a lot who we don’t suspect of having diminished mental capacity. On the incident where Biden mixed up his wife and sister, I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he simply expected them to be on the opposite sides of him than they were on. . .

It was such an awkward moment during the November debate when Joe Biden, touting his support from the African American community, noted “I have more people supporting me in the black community because they know me, they know who I am. Three former chairs of the Black Caucus, the only African American woman elected to the U.S. Senate [Carol Moseley Braun], a whole range of people,” he said. . .

Joe Biden made this embarrassing gaffe on the campaign trail in Texas after his victory in South Carolina. Not only did he forget the words to the Declaration of Independence, he apparently forgot the document he was quoting.

Most people laughed at Biden’s recent flub in St. Louis when he said, “If you want to nominate a proud Democrat, a lifelong Democrat, an O’Biden Bama Democrat, join us.”

But, really, that was not the worst part of his speech. In fact, in the video below, Biden appears to slur his way through various points of his remarks.

Biden’s Coronavirus Proposal Cribs Heavily From Trump Administration

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s proposal for combatting the coronavirus cribs heavily from actions the Trump administration has already taken against the pandemic.

Biden, whom many believe has locked up the Democrat nomination, unveiled his plan in a televised address on Thursday. The speech, which was billed beforehand by supporters as commander-in-chief-worthy, heavily criticized President Donald Trump’s efforts to contain the pandemic.

“Our government’s ability to respond effectively has been undermined by the hollowing out of agencies and the disparagement of science,” Biden said. Adding that “our ability to derive a global response” was also “dramatically undercut by the damage Trump has done to our credibility and our relationships around the world.”

Instead of urging unity and calm, Biden spent a large portion of the speech leveling political attacks on the president. Biden, in particular, argued that Trump’s policies and demeanor in the White House only exacerbated tensions in the public health and safety sectors.

“Unfortunately, this virus laid bare the severe shortcomings of the current administration,” the former vice president said. “Public fears are being compounded by [a] pervasive lack of trust in this president, fueled by an adversarial relationship with the truth.” (Read more from “Biden’s Coronavirus Proposal Cribs Heavily From Trump Administration” HERE)

Maxine Waters: ‘I Don’t Know’ If Biden Has What It Takes to Beat Trump

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee, said Tuesday she doesn’t know if Joe Biden has what it takes to defeat President Trump and declined to share her opinion of the former vice president’s fitness for office.

Waters was asked if she is supporting Biden or Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in the Democratic presidential primary.

“It’s not about who you like,” Waters told Just the News on Capitol Hill ahead of Tuesday’s presidential primaries. “It’s about now watching and understanding who can beat Trump.”

Asked if Biden could beat Trump, she replied, “I don’t know, but we’ll see.”

President Trump has criticized Biden’s gaffes on the campaign trail. Asked if she thinks Biden has the fitness for office given his gaffes, Waters wheeled instead on the president. (Read more from “Maxine Waters: ‘I Don’t Know’ If Biden Has What It Takes to Beat Trump” HERE)

WATCH: Detroit Rally for Joe Biden Descends Into Chaos — and He Blames Trump

Left-wing protesters interrupted a political rally for Joe Biden in Detroit, Michigan, but he blamed President Donald Trump for the pandemonium.

Two sets of protesters disrupted the rally for the Democratic presidential front-runner. One was protesting against the NAFTA trade agreement, while the other advocated for the “Green New Deal.”

“The Bernie Bros are here!” Biden said in response. “Let them go, folks, that’s OK! This is not a Trump rally!”

Biden lost control of the rally for several minutes as the protesters chanted against him and his supporters counter-chanted, “Let’s go, Joe!”

WATCH: Biden Tells Auto Worker He’s ‘Full of S**t’ During Heated Exchange

Former Vice President Joe Biden told a worker in Detroit on Tuesday that he was “full of s**t” after the man accused Biden of wanting to “take away our guns” if he is elected president.

The spat, caught on video by reporters accompanying Biden to an under-construction plant in Michigan, quickly caught fire on social media, where both supporters and detractors of the Democratic frontrunner gleefully cheered and jeered the encounter.

In the video, Biden is confronted by a hard hat-wearing worker who accused the former vice president of “actively trying to diminish our Second Amendment right and take away our guns,” to which Biden immediately shot back, “You’re full of s**t.”

Is Biden’s 24-Point Michigan Lead Deceptive? It Was for Hillary Clinton in 2016

Joe Biden has a 24-point lead over Bernie Sanders in a Michigan Democratic presidential primary poll released Monday, eerily similar to Hillary Clinton’s lead over the socialist Vermont senator in the state’s 2016 primary before he won in an upset.

A Detroit Free Press/EPIC-MRA Michigan poll released Monday, one day before Tuesday’s primary, found the former vice president with 51% support and Sanders at 27%.

The poll surveyed 400 likely Democratic primary voters in Michigan by phone from March 4-6 (after last week’s Super Tuesday primary contests) and has a margin of error of 4.9 percentage points.

Monday’s poll is analogous to the 2016 cycle. The day before former Secretary of State Clinton and Sanders faced off in the 2016 Michigan Democratic presidential primary, another Detroit Free Press/EPIC-MRA poll found Clinton with a 25-point lead over Sanders, 56% to 31%. Sanders then won Michigan’s primary by 1.4 percentage points in a major upset. Younger voters and voters outside the Detroit area turned out in much greater numbers than expected in the 2016 primary, contributing to the polling error.

Monday’s poll found that Sanders’s support among young Democrats is softer than in 2016 — 58% among ages 18-29 versus 65% in 2016 — and also softer with those outside metro Detroit. (Read more from “Is Biden’s 24-Point Michigan Lead Deceptive? It Was for Hillary Clinton in 2016” HERE)

WATCH: A Confused Joe Biden Says ‘We Can Only Re-Elect Donald Trump’; Why Does Biden Need a Sit-Down Debate?

By Townhall. . .The current Democratic frontrunner fell and tripped repeatedly over his words as he stumbled through a campaign speech in Missouri on Saturday. The 77-year-old former vice president made a series of gaffes and incoherent statements as he appeared to lose his train of thought. At one point, he even mispronounced his own name.

“… We cannot get re-elect, we cannot win this re-election, excuse me. We can only re-elect Donald Trump,” Biden said to his bewildered supporters. The candidate himself seemed caught off guard by his inability to keep his train of thought.

(Townhall UPDATE: “A fuller version of Biden’s comments show the candidate was attempting to argue that infighting within the Democratic Party will result in the re-election of President Trump, but Biden had difficultly making his point after stumbling over his words.”)

At the same event, Biden referred to himself as an “Obiden Bama Democrat.”

Many people have questioned Joe Biden’s mental fitness as he campaigns for the highest political office in the country. In the past few weeks alone, the candidate declared repeatedly that he was running for the U.S. Senate, confused which state he was in, said there were 150 million gun deaths in America since 2007, called Super Tuesday “Super Thursday,” and announced that he would have the ability as president to appoint the first African American woman to the United States Senate. Biden Pushes for Sit-Down Debate Format Amid Mounting Health-Related Concerns, Report Says

By Fox News. Bernie Sanders’ campaign is accusing Joe Biden of pushing for a sit-down format at the March 15 presidential primary debate in Phoenix, according to a new report that highlights mounting concerns over the 77-year-old former vice president’s stamina and cognitive ability.

Sanders’ team raised the alarm about the sit-down format during a Friday call with CNN, which is set to moderate the debate along with the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Politico reported this weekend. All previous primary debates this cycle have required candidates to stand at podiums; and during his one-on-one debates with Hillary Clinton in 2016, Sanders stood alongside her.

“Why does Joe Biden not want to stand toe-to-toe with Sen. Sanders on the debate stage March 15 and have an opportunity to defend his record and articulate his vision for the future?” senior Sanders advisor Jeff Weaver told the outlet.

The Biden campaign denied it had anything to do with the proposed new format. Biden has stood for each of the previous debates, but the upcoming one-on-one with Sanders is expected to be a more grueling and taxing event. (Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, will be excluded from the debate under new DNC rules requiring that each candidate have received a large number of delegates.)
