By Breitbart. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) told CNN’s climate change town hall attendees Wednesday night that he is willing to talk about population control, suggesting that abortion is key to addressing the climate crisis.

“Human population growth has more than doubled in the last 50 years,” an attendee told Sanders, adding that the planet cannot sustain such growth.

“I realize this is a poisonous topic for politicians but it’s crucial to face. Empowering women and educating everyone on the need to curb population growth seems a reasonable campaign to enact,” the attendee continued. . .

“The answer is yes,” Sanders said, arguing that population control – in the form of abortion and birth control, specifically – is something he “very, very strongly” supports. . .

“So I think especially in poor countries around the world, where women do not necessarily want to have large numbers of babies and where they can have the opportunity to birth control to control the number of kids they have is something I very, very strongly support,” he added. Joe Biden’s Eye Fills with Blood While Onstage During Climate Town Hall

By Breitbart. Former Vice President Joe Biden’s left eye filled with blood while he was onstage Wednesday during a CNN town hall on climate change, apparently from a burst vessel.

Biden was in the middle of speaking when his eye appeared to fill with blood, and he seemed not to notice.

The incident instantly gained attention on social media.

Trump Blasts CNN for Ignoring ‘Facts’ on Climate Ahead of 2020 Forum

By The Hill. President Donald Trump blasted CNN Wednesday afternoon just ahead of its climate-focused Democratic presidential forum, arguing it would likely ignore key “facts.”

“8 FACTS that #FakeNewsCNN will ignore in tonight’s ‘Climate Forum,'” Trump said in a series of tweets.

The president went on to list points defending the role his administration has played in cleaning the country’s air and reducing emissions, echoing similar talking points he made during his July White House speech on America’s energy leadership.

“1. Which country has the largest carbon emission reduction? AMERICA! 2. Who has dumped the most carbon into the air? CHINA! 3. 91% of the world’s population are exposed to air pollution above the World Health Organization’s suggested level. NONE ARE IN THE U.S.A.!” he said in the thread. . .

WATCH: Biden BLAMES Climate Change for Cancer

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden suggested without evidence that climate change was responsible for the Darfur genocide and for cancer on Wednesday night during a CNN town hall event.

“Look what happened in Darfur,” Biden exclaimed. “What’ Darfur all about? Darfur’s all about the fact that the Sub Saharan desert, cause of the change in climate, no longer had enough arable land.”

Biden continued by claiming that many people have personal experiences with being impacted negatively from climate change, including being diagnosed with cancer.

DEEP STATE COLLUSION: After Election, Obama, Biden Briefed on Private Trump Meeting Before Comey Fed Details to FBI Russia Hoax Team

A key revelation in the report released last week by the Justice Department’s inspector general raises questions about the roles played by Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Susan Rice and other senior members of the Obama administration in disgraced former FBI Director James Comey’s infamous classified briefing to then President-elect Donald Trump about “salacious” material inside the anti-Trump dossier.

As Breitbart News reported, the IG report relates that prior to the briefing, FBI members on Comey’s team discussed the need to memorialize the exchanges between Comey and Trump during the private January 6, 2017 briefing in Trump Tower just in case Trump made statements relevant to the agency’s controversial Russia probe. In other words, they plotted to stealthily use statements Trump said to Comey in a private briefing to inform their Russia collusion investigation.

The IG further relates that Comey went on to do just that. He had a laptop waiting for him in the car, where he immediately began memorializing his private talk with Trump. He also immediately provided a “quick download” of the Trump briefing to members of “Crossfire Hurricane” – the FBI’s compartmentalized Russia collusion team — via a secured video conference.

The revelation that Comey immediately fed the details of his private meeting with Trump to the FBI team investigation unsubstantiated Russia collusion raises questions about what Obama, Biden, Rice and other Obama-era officials knew about the intent to use the planned briefing to fuel the questionable Russia investigation and surreptitiously pass the contents of the private talk to the FBI.

In his book, A Higher Loyalty, Comey writes that he told Obama, Biden and Rice about his plans to have the private briefing with Trump. He did this on January 5, 2017 in a White House briefing with Obama one day before he met Trump and underhandedly sent the details of their one-on-one to the FBI’s “Crossfire Hurricane” team handling the Russia collusion claims. No Compromise: Biden Goes Extreme on Gun Control (VIDEO)

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden went far to the left on the issue of guns on Monday, telling reporters that he wants to ban magazines that hold “multiple bullets” — which means all magazines.

Biden, who made the remarks while talking to the press during a campaign stop in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, said there should be “no compromise” on guns as he also voiced his anger at the state of Texas for allowing people to carry firearms in places of worship to defend themselves from those who seek to harm others.

“And we’re talking about loosening access, to have guns, to be able to take them into places of worship, I mean, it is absolutely irrational. It’s totally irrational,” Biden said. “The idea that we don’t have elimination of assault-type weapons, magazines that can hold multiple bullets in them, it’s absolutely mindless.” . . .

Biden’s extreme gun control push, if ever enacted, would effectively ban the overwhelming majority of handguns, all semi-automatic shotguns and rifles, and many hunting rifles which use magazines. . .

Joe Biden Told Moving Military Story at Campaign Stop – but It ‘Never Happened’

. . .The controversy surrounds a moving military story — which the former VP claimed to be the “God’s truth” — that Biden told at a campaign stop in New Hampshire earlier this month.

The only problem was that the story was not true, according to The Washington Post. Biden was quick to respond to the allegation on Thursday, speaking to a Washington Post’s Cape Up podcast. “I was making the point how courageous these people are, how incredible they are, this generation of warriors, these fallen angels we’ve lost,” he said. “I don’t know what the problem is. What is it that I said wrong?”

Earlier, Biden’s allegedly tall tale was an emotional account of his decision to travel to Afghanistan, despite concerns about visiting a war-torn area, in order to honor a Navy captain for retrieving the body of his dead comrade during battle.

According to Biden, he brushed off concerns about the risk of him traveling to the deadly area. “We can lose a vice president,” he said, recounting his words to a crowd during an event on Friday. “We can’t lose many more of these kids. Not a joke.” His story involved the captain dramatically telling Biden he didn’t want the medal because his comrade ended up dying.

Joe Biden Goes After Illegal Alien Detention Centers

By Breitbart. Former vice president Joe Biden told an town hall at Clinton College in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Thursday afternoon that he would close down migrant shelters and detention facilities at the border.

Biden was asked by a Clinton College student what he would do to improve and help migrants in the facilities reunite with their families.

“Close them down!” Biden declared, to loud applause.

“No, no, no, no, no, no,” he continued. “We don’t need them. We [meaning President Barack Obama and himself] found that, when we were in office, in fact … [when] we finally got things under control, you have to report back for a hearing on such-and-such a date, people show up!”

Biden neglected to mention that many of the migrant shelters and detention facilities were opened under the Obama administration (or, as Biden refers to it, the “Obama-Biden administration), after a massive surge of unaccompanied minors to the border. Biden Calls to Shut down Immigration Detention Centers: ‘We Don’t Need Them!’

By Washington Examiner. . .Back in July, Biden promised that if elected to the White House, he would not detain migrant children at the detention centers on the border. He made this pledge after meeting with over 20 members of BOLDPAC, a political action committee that funds the reelection campaigns of Congressional Hispanic Caucus members on Capitol Hill.

Minors who travel to the border with legal guardians are brought into the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) with the rest of their family, where the entire unit is ordinarily released within 20 days.

The Trump administration recently announced plans to allow DHS to hold migrant families in detention for longer periods of time than what is currently allowed under the 2015 Flores Settlement Agreement. The Obama administration, however, had already held migrant families for longer periods than 20 days up until the Flores Settlement Agreement was established.

Biden’s current stance puts him in alignment with his fellow Democratic primary opponents who also called to shut down the facilities including New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker who wants to “virtually eliminate immigration detention,” as well as California Sen. Bizarre Joe Biden Moment: Begins Speaking Again as Supporters Leave; Joe Biden Calls Obama ‘President My Boss’ in Another Brain Freeze Moment

By Breitbart. Former vice president Joe Biden appeared to forget his closing remarks at a town hall event Wednesday afternoon. As the music played and 300 supporters stood up and began filing out, he took the hand-held microphone again and asked for 60 more seconds to speak.

Biden then delivered his closing address as people continued filing out — though some listened attentively or filmed his remarks on their smartphones.

It was a bizarre moment in an otherwise successful town hall event that boasted roughly 300 supporters in attendance.

Biden spoke slowly and somberly at the beginning of the event. But he was more fluent, and sharper, in the question-and-answer session, walking around the room and engaging supporters who asked him about details of his policies. Joe Biden Calls Obama ‘President My Boss’ in Another Brain Freeze Moment

By Breitbart. Former Vice president Joe Biden (D) suffered yet another mental glitch on the campaign trail in South Carolina, forgetting former President Barack Obama’s name and instead referring to him as “president my boss,” according to a video that surfaced Wednesday.

Donald Trump Jr. retweeted the video, which shows Biden referring to Obama as “president,” before pausing and adding “my boss,” seemingly due to a failure to recall his name:

“It is unfair to expect Vice President Biden to remember that he served with President Barack Obama,” Newt Gingrich cheekily remarked on Twitter.

“It is equally unfair to expect him to remember the G-8 is now the G-7. People just keep knit picking these small boo boos. Remember, he is likable Uncle Joe,” he added.

Joe Biden Falls: National Poll Has Bad News for the Democrat

A Monmouth University Poll released Monday revealed a massive shift in the Democrat primary race, showing Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and former Vice President Joe Biden (D) in a statistical three-way tie.

The poll, taken August 16–20 among 800 U.S. adults, shows both Warren and Sanders tying with 20 percent support, followed by Biden – the longheld frontrunner – who dropped to third place with 19 percent support. With a +/- 5.7 percent margin of error, the three are statistically tied. This spells trouble for the Biden campaign and signals, as Monmouth suggests, that the “2020 presidential nomination process may be entering a volatile stage”:

The poll finds a virtual three-way tie among Sanders (20%), Warren (20%), and Biden (19%) in the presidential nomination preferences of registered Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters across the country. Compared to Monmouth’s June poll, these results represent an increase in support for both Sanders (up from 14%) and Warren (up from 15%), and a significant drop for Biden (down from 32%).

The poll did not show any major shakeups among the remaining candidates. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) maintained her fourth place position with eight percent support, followed by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D), and Andrew Yang, (D) with four percent, four percent, and three percent, respectively. Julián Castro (D), Beto O’Rourke (D), and Marianne Williamson (D) all garnered two percent. The remaining candidates saw once percent support or less.

The biggest takeaway from Monmouth’s poll, of course, is Biden’s fall. According to the survey, the former vice president is losing ground among key demographics, including black voters, white voters, and women. Ouch: Jill Biden Doesn’t Exactly Give a Ringing Endorsement of Her Husband

That’s basically the message from Dr. Jill Biden, wife of presidential hopeful and former Vice President Joe Biden, who recently told Democrats that they might have to “swallow a little bit” in order to vote for her lackluster husband, since, like it or not, he’s the most electable candidate in the field.

“Your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, healthcare, than Joe is,” Mrs. Biden said, “but you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election, and maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, ‘Okay, I personally like so-and-so better,’ but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump.” . . .

“Yes, I know that not all of you are committed to my husband, and I respect that,” Mrs. Biden continued, “but I want you to think about your candidate, his or her electability, and who’s going to win this race.”

“If you’re looking at that, you’ve got to look at the polls,” the former Second Lady said, noting that people should ignore the “polls don’t mean anything” chants because of their consistency: “If they’re consistent, and they’re consistently saying the same thing, I think you can’t dismiss that.”

“If your goal is to beat Donald Trump, we have to get someone who can beat Donald Trump,” she added, emphasizing that Democrats need to gain on Independent and disaffected Republican voters.

Obama Warned Biden about Presidential Bid: ‘You Don’t Have to Do This, Joe’

Former President Barack Obama reportedly wasn’t particularly sold on the idea of Joe Biden, his vice president for eight years, mounting his own bid for the White House in 2020.

“You don’t have to do this, Joe, you really don’t,” Obama told Biden before the 76-year-old formally launched his campaign in April, according to the New York Times.

“Mr. Biden — who thinks he could have defeated Donald Trump four years ago — responded by telling Mr. Obama he could never forgive himself if he turned down a second shot at Mr. Trump,” the Times reports. . .

Biden famously failed to lock down Obama’s endorsement upon entering the race, though his former boss did issues a statement saying choosing the then-senator as his running mate in 2008 was “one of the best decisions he ever made” and still remain close friends.

Biden, the 2020 Democrat frontrunner among a crowded primary field, has seen his poll numbers after bruising clashes with Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) in the first presidential debate over his past remarks about bussing. Notably, former first lady Michelle Obama refused to defend Biden as the former vice president found himself in hot water for his position on busing and his recent praise of segregationists. A series of gaffes by the former vice president has also hurt his standing among voters, reportedly prompting his advisers to discuss possibly scaling back his public appearances to prevent more embarrassing moments.
