Biden Ignores Questions on Laken Riley’s Murder During Border Visit (VIDEO)

President Joe Biden ignored questions regarding the murder of 22-year-old Laken Riley, allegedly at the hands of an illegal alien released into the United States, while speaking to the media in Brownsville, Texas, near the southern border.

On Thursday, Biden spoke alongside Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas at a Border Patrol station in Brownsville, mostly about the record-setting illegal immigration that has occurred on their watch.

When the press conference ended, a reporter asked Biden, “Mr. President, do you bear any responsibility for Laken Riley’s death?” Biden did not turn around to address the question and instead continued shaking hands with officials.

Joe Biden’s Brother Told the IRS That Hunter Was in Business With ‘Protege’ of Chinese President

President Joe Biden’s brother told the Internal Revenue Service that Hunter Biden told him he was in business with a “protege of President Xi,” referring to the leader of China, according to documents reviewed during testimony by Jim Biden to Congress released Friday.

“It was alleged by Hunter to me, and I, obviously, I said that, and that’s my recollection,” Jim Biden said in regards to Ye Jianming, the chairman of Chinese energy firm CEFC, who was later arrested for fraud in China and disappeared.

He later said his comments to IRS investigators used a “term of art,” saying “It was a gratuitous comment, okay, and it wasn’t well chosen, okay, being a protege of the chairman of the Chinese Communist Party.”

Jim Biden testified to the House Oversight and Judiciary committees on February 21 as part of their impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden. The committees released the transcript Friday, a day after they released the transcript of testimony by Hunter Biden, who engaged in overseas businesses with his father’s brother.

Jim Biden said in the deposition that he helped Zang Jianjun, Chairman Ye’s lieutenant, get a U.S. visa through a former immigration official, find an apartment in New York City, and locate a school for his children. “I was doing it out of personal kindness to — to familiarize him and his family with the city,” he said. After Years of Denials, Hunter Biden Finally Acknowledged Joe Was ‘The Big Guy’ in $5M China Deal; Biden Only Remembers One Thing About Meetings He ‘Can’t Recall’

At long last, first son Hunter Biden affirmed during his Wednesday impeachment inquiry deposition that his father, Joe, was “the big guy” referenced in an email about a business deal with a Chinese state-linked energy firm that yielded millions for Biden family members and other associates, more than three years after The Post broke the story — but rejected the notion that the president was ever penciled in for a 10% stake.

The deposition represents the first time the 54-year-old Hunter has admitted that his former business partner James Gilliar was referring to Joe Biden when he raised the prospect on May 13, 2017, of the first son holding a 10% stake in the lucrative joint venture involving CEFC China Energy “for the big guy.”

“I truly don’t know what the hell that James was talking about,” the first son said when asked about the reference, according to a transcript released Thursday.

“All I know is … what actually happened.”

The email, found on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop, was first reported by The Post in October 2020 as part of a bombshell series of reports on the first son’s influence-peddling schemes. Hunter Biden Only Remembers One Thing About Meetings He ‘Can’t Recall,’ And It’s That His Dad Wasn’t Involved

President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, noted that he could not recall information about his business dealings at least 29 times during a closed-door deposition with House Republicans Wednesday. What he could remember, as he explained to members of Congress, was that his dad was not involved in any of his foreign business ventures.

Hunter Biden appeared for a closed-door deposition with the House Oversight Committee as part of House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry into his father. The first son agreed to testify in front of Congress after previously defying a subpoena in January. Hunter Biden repeatedly appeared to contradict himself throughout the testimony and seemed to have a faulty memory.

Despite having the president’s son behind closed-doors, the transcript failed to produce any significant, new lines of inquiry for Republicans desperate to find a smoking gun in the palm of the president.

“I am here today to provide the committees with the one uncontestable fact that should end the false premise of this inquiry: I did not involve my father in my business, not while I was a practicing lawyer, not in my investments or transactions, domestic or international, not as a board member, and not as an artist, never,” Biden said in his opening statement before going on to note that he “did not recall” information about certain business meetings. . .

Other lapses and contradictions in Hunter Biden’s deposition centered around foreign business affairs, the transcript shows. Hunter Biden claimed that he never “fully read” an email sent to him from James Gilliar, who detailed the equity structure of the Oneida Holdings joint venture with CEFC, a Chinese Energy company, the testimony shows. Trump Says He Spoke to Laken Riley’s Parents, Bashes Biden for Not ‘Saying Her Name’

Former President Donald Trump said he spoke with the parents of murdered nursing student Laken Riley Thursday while visiting Eagle Pass, Texas.

Trump visited the illegal immigration hotspot Thursday while President Joe Biden was in Brownsville, Texas, to give remarks on the border situation. During his remarks, Trump ripped Biden for not mentioning Riley, whose alleged killer, Jose Antonio Ibarra, an immigrant from Venezuela who crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally, was arrested by University of Georgia police Saturday and charged with murdering the 22-year-old nursing student.

“Just one week ago, a beautiful 22-year-old nursing student from Georgia was barbarically attacked, almost unrecognizable while she was out on her morning run. She was on a morning run,” Trump said. “She was a beautiful young woman, she was a great person, best nursing student there was. I spoke to her parents yesterday, they’re incredible people that are devastated beyond belief. She was beautiful in so many ways and brutally assaulted, horrifically beaten, kidnapped and savagely murdered.”

“The monster charged in her death is an illegal alien migrant who was let into our country and released into our communities by crooked Joe Biden,” Trump continued. “He is crooked, I took the name away from Hillary because she’s no longer relevant. LOL: Biden Remains ‘Fit for Duty,’ Physician to the President Says in Memo

Physician to the president Kevin O’Connor declared in a memo to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre that the president remains “fit for duty and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations.”

“This patient’s current medical considerations are detailed as above, and remain stable and well-controlled. They include obstructive sleep apnea, a-fib with normal ventricular response, hyperlipidemia, gastroesophageal reflux, seasonal allergies, spinal arthritis and sensory peripheral neuropathy of the feet. For these, he takes three common prescription medications and three common over-the-counter medications,” O’Connor noted.

“President Biden is a healthy, active, robust, 81-year-old male, who remains fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief,” the physician added.

Jean-Pierre said during a press briefing on Wednesday that Biden’s doctor and the neurologist do not think that the president needs a cognitive test.

Biden, who is the oldest president in U.S. history and would be 86 by the end of a second term in office, is currently seeking re-election and appears likely to easily lock up his party’s presidential nomination. Biden Prioritizes Gun Control Amidst Tragic Murder Committed By Illegal Alien

In the wake of the tragic death of nursing student Laken Riley, allegedly killed by an illegal alien, President Joe Biden has once again turned his attention to gun control measures as part of his strategy to address crime. Despite the circumstances surrounding Riley’s death, Biden emphasized his commitment to banning “assault weapons” and “high-capacity” magazines. Riley’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, according to People magazine.

While the death of Laken Riley is undeniably heartbreaking, the immediate response from President Biden to push for stricter gun control raises concerns among conservatives. The emphasis on banning “assault weapons” and limiting magazine capacities deflects from the root of the cause of the crime, which is Biden’s out-of-control border crisis.

In his remarks, President Biden claimed his administration prioritizes progress over politics in the pursuit of safer communities. Strengthening law enforcement, securing borders, and addressing the root causes of crime are essential components of a comprehensive strategy that goes beyond political rhetoric. It’s essential that Biden closes our open borders.

House Republicans Subpoena DOJ For Biden-Hur Transcript

House Republicans subpoenaed the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday for the transcript of President Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur, the Daily Caller has learned.

Hur released his report on Biden’s handling of classified documents earlier in February, in which he detailed a five-hour interview with the president over the course of Oct. 8-9. In his report, the special counsel made comments about Biden’s declining mental state, noting that he appeared to forget when his vice presidency began and ended as well as the date of his late son’s death.

The House Judiciary and Oversight Committees notified Attorney General Merrick Garland of the subpoena on Tuesday in a letter obtained by the Daily Caller. The committees previously requested that the DOJ provide the transcript by Feb. 19 at 5 p.m., but the department did not do so.

“The Oversight and Judiciary Committees, in coordination with the Ways and Means Committee, are investigating whether sufficient grounds exist to draft articles of impeachment against President Biden for consideration by the full House,” the letter states. “The Committees further seek to understand whether the White House or President Biden’s personal attorneys placed any limitations or scoping restrictions during the interviews with Special Counsel Hur or Mr. Mark Zwonitzer precluding or addressing any potential statements directly linking President Biden to troublesome foreign payments.”

President Biden Secures Michigan Democratic Primary Amidst ‘Uncommitted’ Movement Pushed by Anti-Israel Protests

President Biden easily won Michigan’s Democratic primary Tuesday night, but his support was impacted by an anti-Israel protest movement calling for voters to fill in “uncommitted.”

With almost three-fifths of the expected vote in, Biden had 81.2% support, while rivals Marianne Williamson and Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) garnered 3.0% and 2.8%, respectively.

“Uncommitted” received 13.0% of the vote, far below the benchmark set in the 2008 Michigan Democratic primary, when close to 40% of the electorate opted not to back any candidate.

A fuller picture of the “uncommitted” vote would not be clear until final results came in from Wayne County — home to the largest Arab-American community in the country, based in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn.

The movement to steer clear of supporting Biden, 81, was driven by anti-Israel group “Listen to Michigan,” which aimed to show Biden he can not win a second term unless he demands the Jewish state enter a cease-fire in its war against Hamas following the Oct. 7 terror attack that killed an estimated 1,200. Biden Slammed for Border Visit ‘Solely to Try to Save Himself’

The Border Patrol‘s union blasted President Joe Biden’s plan to visit the border, saying it’s coming too late to tackle the crisis and is only “to save himself.”

The White House confirmed Monday that Biden will travel to Brownsville, Texas, on Thursday to meet with Border Patrol agents, law enforcement, and local officials. In a statement to Fox News Digital, the National Border Patrol Council said the president, “after repeatedly stating there is no crisis, [his trip] is too little, too late.”

“But even if he were to put the proper policies in place at this late hour, he’d be doing it only to try to save his Presidency. And self-serving actions when time is winding down should always give Americans pause. Common sense dictates that as a lame duck, he’d revert to his open border policies if re-elected,” the union added.

Biden’s trip to the southern border comes after months of pleas from Democratic governors and mayors who have urged the federal government to provide more support as the immigrant surge has overwhelmed their cities and states.
