Forget Basement Campaign — It’s Been a Whole Basement Presidency for Joe Biden

Critics of President Joe Biden have begun dusting off the “basement campaign” allegation now that the 2024 election cycle is in full-swing, but a low-profile, press-free campaign would fall right in line with how Biden has conducted his entire presidency.

During Biden’s run for president in 2020, the now 81-year-old was criticized for running a “basement campaign” as he often stayed in his home studio for media appearances and had limited, low-attendance rallies. Now, as the 2024 election approaches, similar critiques are bubbling after Biden ducked out on a traditional end of year press conference and opted out of a prime-time Super Bowl interview.

Going on his fourth year in office, Biden is averaging about 11 press conferences a year, according to data compiled by the University of California at Santa Barbara’s American Presidency Project. Biden’s average is the lowest since former President Ronald Reagan, who held office from 1981 to 1989, and averaged 5.8 press conferences per year.

The parallel between Biden and Reagan is not a coincidence, historian Barbara Perry, co-chair of the Presidential Oral History Program at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center, told the Daily Caller.

“I think it’s more than coincidental that you have these two presidents with an aging factor. And I don’t mean to say that he’s non compos mentis and he’s going down. I’m not saying that at all. I’m just saying I do think it’s more than coincidental that oftentimes as these presidents get older, they want to do these kinds of pressers less. Prior to that would be the third and most elderly president was Eisenhower, who was well known for having trouble with his syntax,” Perry told the Daily Caller. Biden’s Support for ‘Three-Trimester’ Abortions Explains Why His DOJ Won’t Probe Death of Five Babies

Last week, in a bombshell press conference led by Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, and Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., lawmakers and pro-life activists demanded justice for the “D.C. Five.” After two years, the bodies of five babies who may have succumbed to infanticide by a D.C. abortionist have yet to be autopsied or investigated. There’s a renewed urgency now because President Biden’s administration recently weighed in, telling the D.C. medical examiner that they have no need for these children’s bodies, which would end any investigation into potential federal abortion crimes.

Why would the Biden administration reportedly put its thumb on the scales here?

Well, judging by Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign, if there’s one thing he’s proving to love more than Matlock, it’s late-term abortion. So much so that he’s making abortion a centerpiece of his 2024 campaign. He just kicked off an abortions-around-America tour, and now he’s allegedly involved in this potential federal abortion scandal.

This is a case so gruesome that when members of Congress displayed the photo evidence of the potential crime, there were audible gasps in the expansive hearing room.

That’s because the “evidence” was photos of the brutalized bodies of five late-term aborted children. These were fully identifiable babies out of the womb, now known as the “D.C. Five.” Or as the National Abortion Federation called the intact babies, “post-abortion tissue.” (Read more from “Biden’s Support for ‘Three-Trimester’ Abortions Explains Why His DOJ Won’t Probe Death of Five Babies” HERE)

Hunter Biden’s Attorneys Dispute Cocaine Was Featured in Pic Used for Gun Charge

Attorneys for Hunter Biden claimed in a Tuesday court filing that federal prosecutors mistook sawdust for cocaine in a photo used to justify a gun charge.

Biden pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and a felony gun charge during a July 26 hearing after a plea bargain announced June 20 collapsed. Attorneys Abbe Lowell, Christopher Man and Bartholomew Dalton claimed that a photo apparently showing three lines of cocaine was not the substance, according to the filing.

“The prosecution is flat out wrong—both that Mr. Biden ‘took’ this photograph and in claiming that it depicts ‘cocaine,’” Biden’s attorneys wrote in the brief. “Multiple sources have pointed out, and a review of discovery confirms, this is actually a photo of sawdust from an expert carpenter and it was sent to Mr. Biden, not vice versa.” (Read more from “Hunter Biden’s Attorneys Dispute Cocaine Was Featured in Pic Used for Gun Charge” HERE)

Biden’s Federal Judges: 76% Female, 34% Black Appointments Based on Identity Politics

President Joe Biden’s approach to judicial appointments has come under scrutiny as he continues to prioritize diversity, particularly gender and skin color, over what should be a primary consideration: competency. This trend has gained attention since Biden publicly announced his commitment to nominating only Black women for key positions, echoing a similar approach he took with his vice-presidential pick.

However, recent revelations suggest that the commitment to diversity may be overshadowing considerations of competence. For instance, when Biden made his pledge to nominate a Black woman for the Supreme Court, questions arose about the accuracy of his previous commitment, considering Vice President Kamala Harris’s ethnicity – being 25% Black, 50% Central Asian, and 25% White.

This trend extends beyond high-profile appointments, as federal judges play a crucial role in shaping a president’s lasting legacy. Biden’s nominees for judgeships have faced criticism for seemingly prioritizing gender and ethnicity over qualifications. The Senate has confirmed one hundred of Biden’s nominees for judgeships, with three individuals confirmed twice and three women elevated to a higher bench.

What stands out is the disproportionate representation among Biden’s judicial appointees. A staggering 76% of the 97 confirmed individuals are female, raising questions about whether merit-based considerations are being overshadowed by identity-based criteria.

White appointees, who still constitute a significant majority of the American population, only make up 37% of Biden’s nominees. Additionally, a notable number of these appointees are Jewish, further reducing the representation of White Christians with European ancestry.

Black individuals, on the other hand, are overrepresented at 34%, a sharp contrast to the 5% representation of Black lawyers in the broader legal community, according to the US Bar Association.

Moreover, Biden’s choices include 25.5% Black women, reinforcing his commitment to “diversity.”

Biden’s Precautions Boarding Air Force One Raising Eyebrows in Wake of Special Counsel Report

President Joe Biden’s frequent use of the shorter ladder while boarding Air Force One has raised eyebrows, and a Secret Service agent’s position at the base of the stairs has prompted additional speculation.

Air Force One has two different ladders the president uses to board before flights. One is longer and allows the president to board to a higher point on the plane, while the other, with fewer steps, allows boarding to a lower point.

Biden began using the shorter stairs after various trips and falls last year. And recently, a Secret Service agent has remained posted at the bottom of the staircase, the New York Times reported, ostensibly to keep him from getting hurt.

Former President Donald Trump also used the shorter ladder during inclement weather. Trump was 70 years old when he was elected in 2016.

The added precautions for Biden come in the wake of special counsel Robert Hur‘s report that called Biden’s competence into question. Hur referred to the president as “an elderly man” with a “poor memory.” Hur’s office interviewed Biden last year but found he did not have a “mental state of willfulness” and, therefore, was not worth indicting over his handling of classified documents because “it would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him.” (Read more from “Biden’s Precautions Boarding Air Force One Raising Eyebrows in Wake of Special Counsel Report” HERE)

New York Times Publisher Admits White House Gets ‘Extremely Upset’ With Its Reporting on Biden’s Age, Poor Polling

The publisher of the New York Times admitted Monday that the White House is “extremely upset” with the paper’s coverage of President Biden’s dismal approval ratings and voter concerns about his age.

“He is a historically unpopular incumbent and the oldest man to ever hold this office,” AG Sulzberger said in an interview with the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism.

“We’ve reported on both of those realities extensively, and the White House has been extremely upset about it,” the Gray Lady’s publisher added.

Sulzberger, 43, vowed that his paper will “continue to report fully and fairly” despite the criticism it has received from the 81-year-old president’s staff.

“We are not saying that this is the same as [former President Donald Trump’s] five court cases or that they are even,” the publisher explained. “They are different. But they are both true, and the public needs to know both those things.” (Read more from “New York Times Publisher Admits White House Gets ‘Extremely Upset’ With Its Reporting on Biden’s Age, Poor Polling” HERE)

Biden Failing on World Stage: Cargo Ship Could Sink After Houthi Attack; U.S. Drone Downed; U.S. Cargo Ship Hit

President Joe Biden is once again failing on the world stage to protect American interests and to deter aggression from America’s enemies as the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist organization seriously damaged a cargo ship near the Arabian Peninsula over the weekend and appeared to shoot down a U.S. drone.

British maritime authorities said that the attack on the Belize-flagged commercial shipping vessel M/V Rubymar happened 35 nautical miles south of Al Mukha, Yemen, in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait connecting the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

The front of the vessel and its engine room were hit by anti-ship ballistic missiles, an official at the ship’s company told Bloomberg. The crew was forced to abandon the ship due to the damage.

The Houthis claimed in a statement that the ship had “suffered catastrophic damage” and that it was “now at risk of potential[ly] sinking.”

The ship’s security firm, LSS-SAPU, told the BBC: “We know she was taking in water. There is nobody on board now. The owners and managers are considering options for towage.” (Read more from “Biden Failing on World Stage: Cargo Ship Could Sink After Houthi Attack; U.S. Drone Downed; U.S. Cargo Ship Hit” HERE)

‘Squad’ Congresswoman Urges Democrats to ‘Vote Uncommitted’ Against Joe Biden

Democratic Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib urged voters in her home state Saturday to “vote uncommitted” against President Joe Biden in the Feb. 27 presidential primary.

Tlaib released a video on social media calling for Michigan residents to avoid voting for the president as she expressed her discontent with the Biden administration’s handling of the conflict on the Gaza Strip.

“Right now, we feel completely neglected and just unseen by our government,” Tlaib said. “If you want us to be louder, then come here and vote uncommitted.”

Tlaib, who was the only member of Congress to not vote in favor of a resolution Wednesday condemning Hamas for the raping of civilians following its Oct. 7 attack on Israel. She told her constituents to “support life” and “stand up for every single life killed in Gaza.” She emphasized the importance of establishing a voting block against the president “to say enough is enough.” (Read more from “‘Squad’ Congresswoman Urges Democrats to ‘Vote Uncommitted’ Against Joe Biden” HERE)

Comer: ’30 Million Reasons’ Biden Impeachment Probe Will Continue Despite Indictment of Informant

President Joe Biden called Friday for the House to shut down its impeachment inquiry into alleged influence peddling after the indictment of an FBI informant who said Biden might have accepted $5 million in bribes while vice president.

Special counsel David Weiss, appointed to investigate the financial activities of the president’s son, Hunter Biden, secured a grand jury indictment against Alexander Smirnov, alleging that he lied to the FBI. Smirnov faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

A reporter asked Biden about the indictment at a press conference Friday, and whether the House should drop its impeachment inquiry.

“He is lying and it should be dropped, and it’s just been an outrageous effort from the beginning,” Biden said of Smirnov and the impeachment probe.

But House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., who is in charge of the inquiry, said the impeachment investigation doesn’t rely on Smirnov’s allegation of a bribe made in an FBI form known as a FD-1023. Comer said other evidence shows that millions of dollars in foreign cash went to Hunter Biden and other members of the Biden family. . .

“We have over $30 million reasons to continue this investigation and not one of those reasons relies on the corrupt FBI or an informant,” Comer said in a written statement, adding:

Bank records don’t lie. Bank records and witness testimony reveal Joe Biden knew about and participated in his family’s business schemes, and he has repeatedly lied to the American people about these facts. The American people demand the truth and accountability for any wrongdoing. We will continue to follow the facts to propose legislation to reform federal ethics laws and to determine whether articles of impeachment are warranted.

Bobulinsky Testifies: Hunter’s China Business Commenced Right After VP Biden’s 2015 Christmas Party

A decorated military veteran who was in business with Hunter Biden told Congress that contrary to assertions by Democrats, the work with a Communist Party of China-linked company began while Joe Biden was in power, not immediately after, according to a transcript of his testimony released Friday.

Tony Bobulinski told members of Congress in the impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden that soon after he became CEO of a venture in early 2017 involving Chinese firm CEFC, Hunter screamed angrily that the firm owed him $20 million for previous work, which would have occurred while Joe Biden was vice president.

Democrats have argued that “work was once Joe Biden was a private citizen,” Bobulinski said, but “that’s a lie.”

He said that a third investor, James Gilliar, revealed an arrangement between the Biden family and the Chinese company in a message on December 24, 2015, immediately after he was with Joe Biden at the then-vice president’s Christmas party. “There will be a deal between one of the most prominent families from US and them constructed by me [sic], I think this will then be a great addition to their portfolios,” the message said.

Bobulinski said he immediately knew which family Gilliar was talking about because Gilliar was “in D.C. to attend the Vice President’s Christmas party in December 2015. So I could just generally put the pieces of the puzzle together, and I was operating under the impression that he was talking about the Biden family.” (Read more from “Bobulinsky Testifies: Hunter’s China Business Commenced Right After VP Biden’s 2015 Christmas Party” HERE)
