Hunter Biden Prosecutor Will Be Allowed to Testify Before Congress After Republicans Slam Plea Deal

Hunter Biden prosecutor and U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware David Weiss will be allowed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, according to a letter from the Department of Justice.

Weiss’ testimony would come after the announcement of a plea deal where Hunter would plead guilty to two tax misdemeanors and admit the facts of a gun charge. If the deal is accepted by a judge, it will likely mean no jail time for the president’s son. Republican lawmakers were quick to decry the deal, saying that it was too lenient on Hunter, prompting Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) to send a letter requesting Weiss’ testimony before Congress.

“The Department of Justice (Department) appreciates the Committee on the Judiciary’s (Committee’s) acceptance of our offer for U.S. Attorney Weiss to testify at a public hearing before the Committee. The Department is ready to offer U.S. Attorney Weiss to testify shortly after Congress returns from the August district work period, as described more fully below,” Assistant Attorney General Carlos Felipe Uriarte wrote in a letter to Jordan.

Potential dates for the testimony included September 27 or 28, and October 18 or 19. (Read more from “Hunter Biden Prosecutor Will Be Allowed to Testify Before Congress After Republicans Slam Plea Deal” HERE)

Judge Warns Hunter Biden’s Lawyers They Could Face Sanctions

A judge told lawyers for Hunter Biden they could face sanctions over the allegation that one member from their law firm lied to the court clerk over the phone to get records pulled from the docket.

The threat from Delaware U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika came the day before a scheduled hearing to consider a plea deal for tax and gun violations that could keep the first son out of prison.

“It appears that the caller misrepresented her identity and who she worked for in an attempt to improperly convince the clerk’s office to remove the amicus materials from the docket,” Noreika said in an order on Tuesday, according to the Daily Mail.

“Therefore, it is hereby ordered that, on or before 9pm today on July 25, 2023, counsel for defendant shall show cause as to why sanctions should not be considered for misrepresentations to the court,” the judge added.

The controversy stems from an amicus brief filing by lawyers representing House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO), who encouraged the court to “consider” whistleblower testimony from Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agents claiming the criminal case led by Delaware’s U.S. Attorney David Weiss has been slow-walked in a way that precluded more serious charges against Biden. GOPers Demand Biden Impeachment After Hunter’s Ex-Biz Partner Reveals Alleged Calls: ‘Must Be Held Accountable’

By New York Post. Some Republicans on Monday demanded House Speaker Kevin McCarthy begin the process to impeach President Biden after The Post revealed a key witness saying first son Hunter Biden frequently put his father on the phone with foreign business associates.

One of Hunter Biden’s closest partners, Devon Archer, is expected to describe the alleged damning calls involving the president at an upcoming hearing of the House Oversight Committee, The Post reported Sunday.

Archer’s explosive anticipated testimony comes on the heels of last week’s release of an FBI informant file that said Hunter and then-Vice President Joe Biden coerced a Ukrainian oligarch to pay $10 million in bribes to dodge a corruption probe.

“House Republicans should initiate impeachment proceedings against President Biden,” Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) flatly told The Post on Monday.

“Joe Biden was trading his personal influence to enrich himself and his family and must be held accountable for selling out America,” said Banks, former chairman of the powerful Republican Study Committee. Hunter Biden’s Gallery Sold His Art to a Democratic Donor ‘Friend’ Who Joe Biden Named to a Prestigious Commission

By Business Insider. On the campaign trail, President Joe Biden pledged that there would be an “absolute wall” between his official duties and his family’s private business interests. The Biden White House repeatedly made reference to that wall when responding to questions about the fledgling art career of Hunter Biden, the president’s son. In 2021, when a New York art gallery debuted Hunter Biden’s paintings with asking prices as high as $500,000, the White House said that Hunter Biden’s team had a process for carefully vetting buyers, and that their identities were known only to the gallery, and not to Hunter Biden himself. The messaging seemed to suggest that Hunter Biden’s art patrons came from a rarified universe of collectors who had nothing to do with the hurly burly of politics.

Neither of those things has turned out to be the case. Hunter Biden did in fact learn the identity of two buyers, according to three people directly familiar with Hunter Biden’s own account of his art career. And one of those buyers is indeed someone who got a favor from the Biden White House. The timing of their purchase, however, is unknown.

That buyer, Insider can reveal, is Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, a Los Angeles real estate investor and philanthropist. Hirsh Naftali is influential in California Democratic circles and is a significant Democratic donor who has given $13,414 to the Biden campaign and $29,700 to the Democratic National Campaign Committee this year. In 2022, she hosted a fundraiser headlined by Vice President Kamala Harris. . .

In July 2022, eight months after Hunter Biden’s first art opening, Joe Biden announced Hirsh Naftali’s appointment to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad. It is unclear whether Hirsh’s purchase of Hunter Biden’s artwork occurred before or after that appointment. Membership on the commission is an unpaid position that is often filled by campaign donors, family members, and political allies — the same crowd that often winds up with US ambassadorial appointments. Hirsh Naftali’s fundraising activities mark her as the kind of well-connected donor who often wins such appointments, regardless of any relationship they might have with the president’s family. But they do not address the possibility that Hunter Biden might have voiced his support for her appointment. Revelations About Biden’s $10 Million Ukraine Bribery Scheme Warrant Impeachment

On Thursday, we finally got to see the document the FBI had been withholding from Congress about an alleged $10 million Ukraine bribery scheme involving Hunter Biden and then-Vice President Joe Biden, whom Burisma paid to get rid of a Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the energy firm.

The document is damning. If there wasn’t enough evidence for the GOP-controlled House to open impeachment proceedings against Biden before, there certainly is now. Recall that former President Donald Trump was impeached by Democrats just for asking the Ukrainian President about the Biden bribery scheme on a phone call in 2019.

Now we know there was good reason for Trump to be asking about it. We also know there’s far more evidence Biden engaged in impeachable (and possibly criminal) offenses than there ever was against Trump. When Democrats first impeached Trump at the end of 2019, they claimed he had solicited foreign interference in the 2020 election by asking Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky about the Biden bribery scheme. His questions now appear to be well-founded. They’re questions the FBI and Justice Department should have been asking back in 2017 when the informant first told the FBI what he knew.

What we’ve now learned from the four-page document — an unclassified FD-1023 form, which is used by the FBI to record credible reports and information from trusted confidential sources — is that Burisma allegedly paid $10 million in bribes to the Biden family so that Joe Biden, who at the time was vice president, would make the company’s legal problems in Ukraine disappear. Biden later bragged about how he pressured Ukrainian authorities to fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma, by threatening to withhold aid to the country. At the time, Biden claimed Shokin was “corrupt.”

But if what the FBI informant says is even partially true, it’s Biden who is corrupt — and on a grand scale. According to the document, a top Burisma executive said the only reason the firm hired Hunter Biden (for a mind-boggling $83,000 a month) was “to protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems,” and that even though Hunter “was stupid,” they needed him “so everything will be okay.” What’s more, the firm was apparently told by both Hunter and Joe Biden that it needed to hire Hunter for this “protection.” (Read more from “Revelations About Biden’s $10 Million Ukraine Bribery Scheme Warrant Impeachment” HERE)

Report: FBI Told David Weiss It Partially Corroborated Biden Bribery Allegations

The FBI reportedly told U.S. Prosecutor David Weiss the bureau partially corroborated the claims that Burisma Holdings founder Mykola Zlochevsky bribed then-Vice President Joe Biden and Hunter Biden with $5 million each.

The Pittsburgh FBI field office corroborated several details contained in the FBI informant record as a part of the intake process that former Attorney General William Barr established, a source with knowledge of the process told the Federalist.

The FBI’s Pittsburgh office was the clearinghouse for the information originating from Ukraine to root out “any potential disinformation.”

The Pittsburgh FBI office reportedly told Weiss about their corroborated facts stemming from the informant’s FD-1023 form, including the travel records the FBI informant detailed in the form and various times the informant claimed to visit cities in Ukraine, England, and Austria to gather the intelligence.

The source also told the Federalist the FBI informant’s handler corroborated the informant’s claim of meeting with Oleksandr (a.k.a. Alexander) Ostapenko, a man who allegedly witnessed conversations between Zlochevsky and the FBI informant. Ostapenko “introduced” the informant to Zlochevsky and “works in some office for the administration of [Ukrainian] President [Volodymyr] Zelensky,” the form stays. Biden’s ‘Embarrassing’ Tripping Incident, Age Alarms Democratic Allies

A congressional Democrat told NBC News that Democrats need to be more responsive to concerns about President Biden’s age as aides continue to make adjustments in an effort to avoid “embarrassing and dangerous” incidents.

“The Democratic Party needs to be responsive to what people are saying about Biden and their concerns that they have with his age,” the congressional Democrat, who remained anonymous, told the outlet. “The number of text messages that I got after the president fell … I mean, my phone was blowing up. People are like, ‘Oh, this is so bad.’”

After the president tripped at the Air Force Academy’s recent graduation ceremony, some of Biden’s aides reportedly got together to discuss how to make sure it “never happens again,” according to NBC.

NBC News reported that voters were watching Biden and were seeing “hardening impressions that it’s time for him to step aside.”

A former Western diplomat, who remained anonymous, told the outlet that the president is “quite frail.” (Read more from “Biden’s ‘Embarrassing’ Tripping Incident, Age Alarms Democratic Allies” HERE)

Spooked? Hunter’s ’Best Friend in Business’ Cancels Testifying

Devon Archer, a Biden family business associate and Hunter’s “best friend in business,” reportedly backed out of his scheduled appearance on Monday before the House Oversight Committee, canceling for a third time.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) reportedly told Fox News that Archer canceled his Monday deposition with the committee. Archer is under subpoena from the committee but has reportedly canceled scheduled appearances three times.

A person familiar with Archer’s expected testimony told Breitbart News the outstanding date remains under negotiation with his lawyer. Reports indicate the committee hopes to compel his testimony on July 31.

The committee initially subpoenaed Archer in June. They want to speak with him about the Biden family business. (Read more from “Spooked? Hunter’s ’Best Friend in Business’ Cancels Testifying” HERE)

New Details: It’s Looking Even Worse for the Bidens…and the FBI

On Friday, we analyzed a just-released FBI ‘FD-1023′ document, in which a trusted FBI informant asserted that executives from Burisma — the Ukrainian energy company that famously employed then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son, despite his dearth of relevant expertise, while the elder Biden was running point on Ukraine policy in the Obama administration — had described a multimillion-dollar bribery scheme that enriched both of the aforementioned Bidens. The Bureau’s confidential human source (CHS) told investigators that the Burisma leaders held a dim view of Hunter Biden’s personal value and intellect, but kept the generous payments flowing to him because Hunter would “take care of all of those issues through his dad.” The function of the younger Biden, the company’s CFO reportedly said, was “to protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems.”

One such problem, allegedly, was an investigation by a Ukrainian prosecutor into Burisma, which the firm’s leadership wanted to go away. To that end, per former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy’s summary of the CHS’ accusations, “the founder of Burisma recounted being pressured by then-Vice President Joe Biden to put Biden’s son Hunter on the Ukrainian energy company’s board, and for $10 million in bribes — $5 million each to Joe and Hunter Biden — in order to use Biden’s political influence to force the firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating Burisma.” That man was, in fact, fired, after Vice President Biden explicitly linked the firing as a prerequisite for unlocking $1 billion is US taxpayer aid. Biden subsequently boasted about this very episode in public remarks.

The Federalist’s Margot Cleveland immediately noted that the CHS’ account directly contradicted Biden’s explanation for triggering the firing, writing that the Burisma executive’s alleged statement to the CHS “proves significant because Joe Biden had long claimed he pushed for Shokin’s firing because Shokin was not investigating Burisma — which is the exact opposite of the details summarized in the FD-1023.” The FD-1023 includes a recollection from the CHS, who said Burisma bigwigs weren’t concerned about the claimed $10 million in bribery funds ever being discovered because they “did not send funds directly to “the big guy” (a reference to Joe Biden), and that the payments to the Bidens had been routed through so many companies and bank accounts that it would take investigators ten years to trace the payments to Joe Biden.” As we pointed out, House Oversight Committee Republicans have produced bank records showing millions of dollars in foreign (largely Chinese) money flowing to nine different Biden family members through an intricate series of shell corporations — quite possibly underscoring a modus operandi, at the very least. Hunter Biden Put Then-VP Dad on the Phone With Business Associates at Least 2 Dozen Times, Ex-Partner to Testify

Hunter Biden would dial in his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, on speakerphone into meetings with his overseas business partners, according to testimony expected before Congress this week from Devon Archer, the first son’s former best friend.

Archer, 48, who is facing jail for his role in a $60 million bond fraud, is scheduled to testify to the House Oversight Committee about meetings he witnessed that were attended by Joe Biden either in person or via speakerphone when Hunter would call his father and introduce him to foreign business partners or prospective investors.

“We are looking forward very much to hearing from Devon Archer about all the times he has witnessed Joe Biden meeting with Hunter Biden’s overseas business partners when he was vice president, including on speakerphone,” says Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the committee chairman.

One such meeting was in Dubai late in the evening of Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, after a board meeting of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, which was paying Hunter $83,000 a month as a director.

Archer, who also was a director, is expected to testify that, after dinner with the Burisma board at the Burj Al Arab Hotel, he and Hunter traveled six miles north to the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach to have a drink with one of Hunter’s friends. RFK Jr. Calls for Investigation Into Biden Over Bribery Allegations

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called for an investigation into President Joe Biden during an interview over the weekend inlight of an FBI form that was released this week that outlined allegations of corruption against Biden.

The FBI-generated FD-1023 form, released by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), alleges that Burisma co-founder and CEO Mykola Zlochevsky told a highly credible FBI confidential human source that he was “coerced” into paying Biden and his son Hunter each $5 million to get a Ukrainian investigation into his company shut down.

“I have avoided criticizing the President because I, you know, I’m trying to bring people together and and some of the vitriol, the poison that’s made politics so poisonous,” Kennedy told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“I think though the issues that are now coming up are worrying enough that we really need a real investigation of what happened,” he said. “I mean, these revelations about the, you know, where you have Burisma — which is a notoriously corrupt company that paid out apparently $10 million to Hunter and his dad — if that’s true, then it is really troubling.”

Kennedy said that in addition to the need for the allegation to be thoroughly investigated, Americans need to be worried about the politicization from federal law enforcement agencies. (Read more from “RFK Jr. Calls for Investigation Into Biden Over Bribery Allegations” HERE)
