Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jerry Boykin Endorses Joe Miller For U.S. Senate

Fairbanks, Alaska. September 28, 2016 — Family Research Council Executive Vice President and former Delta Force Commander Lieutenant General (Ret.) William G. “Jerry” Boykin announced his endorsement of Joe Miller for U.S. Senate on Wednesday, describing the Alaskan as a “rock solid” conservative with whom he is “100 percent” in alignment.

“I am supporting Joe Miller. I believe in Joe,” Boykin stated, adding he is “a strong conservative on issues of national security, smaller government and fiscal constraint, and social issues like life and family. On all the core issues that conservatives hold dear, Joe is rock solid.”

“A West Point graduate, Joe has served his nation in the uniform of a United States Army officer, making him one of a dwindling number of leaders in America to have done so,” the retired three-star general said. “As a dedicated father and devoted husband, Joe embraces the family values that will help keep America strong.”

Miller responded to the backing of the renowned military and conservative leader saying, “I am deeply honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of a man whom I respect so deeply and who has served our country with such distinction.”

He added, “I share the general’s assessment that our nation is at a critical juncture, and new leadership is desperately needed in Washington, grounded in America’s founding constitutional principles, in order to restore the security, prosperity and liberty that have been the birthright of all Americans.”

Joe Miller Campaign Releases First Campaign Ad ‘Testimonials’

Fairbanks, Alaska. September 27, 2016 — The campaign of Libertarian U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller released its first radio ad on Monday, which is called “Testimonials.”

The ad features four members of the Alaska Republican Party Central Committee, who left their positions (and in one case was removed) to publicly back Miller’s candidacy for U.S. Senate over incumbent Sen. Lisa Murkowski.

Others featured include Amy Demboski, the 2015 GOP nominee for Anchorage mayor, who was threatened with removal as district secretary by the vice chairman of the state Republican Party for backing Miller, as well as Russ Millette, who was elected the Alaska Republican Party chairman in 2012.

In the ad, former Anchorage district 25 chairman Dave Bronson states he “was removed for supporting the Constitutional Conservative for United States Senate . . . Joe Miller.”

Others voicing support for Miller are district chairs Shannon Connelly (Palmer), Ron Johnson (Chugiak), and state Central Committee member Mike Widney (Big Lake).

The ad began airing on stations in multiple markets in Alaska on Monday.

“I am very honored that members of the central committee would take the extraordinary step of leaving their positions to back my candidacy,” said Miller. “We have seen a groundswell of support during these last few weeks, which I believe will continue to grow and carry us to victory in November.”

In announcing his candidacy earlier this month, Miller pointed to the near historic low voter turnout in the Republican primary as evidence that Alaskan voters want another choice.

Despite entering the race in September, Miller has already garnered the endorsement of Alaska Right to Life and the support of the Alaska Republican Assembly.

Miller also has the support of the co-chair of Donald Trump’s campaign in Alaska and the former co-chair of Sen. Ted Cruz’s Republican presidential primary campaign.

The Gun Owners of America and conservative talk show host Mark Levin endorsed Miller during the past week.

Miller: Murkowski Trying To Rig Debate Schedule

Anchorage, Alaska. September 26, 2016 — U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller called out Lisa Murkowski on Monday following the release of her “debate” schedule, saying she is hiding from the people of Alaska and the media.

Murkowski stated that she plans to participate in four debates in the lead up to the election: Oct. 12 – Senate Fisheries Debate, hosted by Kodiak Chamber of Commerce; Oct. 21 – Alaska Federation of Natives’ Candidate Forum in Fairbanks; Oct. 26 – Senate Debate on the Arctic, hosted by Iñuit Arctic Business Alliance (IABA) in Barrow; Nov. 3 – Debate for the State, hosted by Alaska Public Media in Anchorage.

Only one of those debates will be televised statewide, the Public Television debate, which takes place just five days before the election, well after early voting and absentee ballot voting are underway.

“There she goes again, trying to rig the game,” said Miller. “Senator Murkowski’s objective is clear: avoid answering tough questions and deprive Alaskan voters of an informed choice.”

During the general election of 2010, Miller appeared in multiple debates with Murkowski, though her name did not even appear on the ballot, including on the state’s most watched news station, the NBC affiliate KTUU.

KTUU, which garners over 80 percent of the news viewing audience in Alaska, wants to host a debate this time, even offering to pre-record it, but Murkowski apparently stonewalled the station.

It also should be noted the commercial fishing industry, the Alaska Federation of Natives, and the Iñuit Arctic Business Alliance all backed Murkowski strongly in 2010, both directly and indirectly.

“The debate schedule Murkowski is offering is not fair to Alaskan voters, who are trying to make an informed decision about who will best represent their views in the next Congress,” said Miller. “I am calling on Lisa Murkowski to do the right thing and participate in televised, open and fair debates.”

Joe Miller is a limited government Constitutionalist who believes government exists to protect our liberties, not to take them away. He supports free people, free markets, federalism, the Constitutional right to life, the 2nd Amendment, religious liberty, American sovereignty, and a strong national defense.

Joe Miller: Alaskans Deserve Debates From U.S. Senate Candidates

September 21, 2016 —  U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller stated on Wednesday he is eager to debate Senator Lisa Murkowski, and the other contenders for the seat she currently occupies,  about the issues vital to the future of Alaska and the country.

“Alaskans are not satisfied with the current direction of our state and nation,” said Miller. “They deserve the opportunity to see the candidates for U.S. senate make their case, and regarding Senator Murkowski, justify her votes, in televised events available to the public at large.”

Murkowski is the most liberal “Republican” up for re-election, having voted with President Obama 72 percent of the time during the last session of Congress.

Multiple local news affiliates are seeking to host televised debates. To date, as far as the Miller campaign has been able to determine, Senator Murkowski has failed to commit to most, if not all, of those debates.

“As has been the case in years past, Alaskans deserve debates in a format that allows for the free exchange of ideas, where candidates will be given the opportunity to directly question each other and offer rebuttals, so the event is not merely a series of unchallenged soundbites,” said Miller

Joe Miller is a limited government Constitutionalist who believes government exists to protect our liberties, not to take them away. He supports free people, free markets, federalism, the Constitutional right to life, the 2nd Amendment, religious liberty, American sovereignty, and a strong national defense.

Watch: Joe Miller’s New Year’s Message

The Conservative Campaign Committee interviewed a number of conservatives, including members of Congress and anti-establishment political candidates during their New Year’s Eve Party last night. Joe Miller was invited to attend via Skype.

Lloyd Marcus and Andy Surabian asked Joe about Senator Begich’s loss last November, what the new Congress should do, and what Joe’s plans are for 2016.

Joe noted that Begich, as a loyal Obama disciple, had to go. He also said that he hoped Dan Sullivan would “vote with the good guys” and do what he said he’d do during the campaign.

With respect to the new Congress, Joe said that it must have the backbone to confront the Obama administration and restrain the President by limiting his funding. The Congress should vote to repeal Obamacare even though the President would veto it.

Joe argued that both Senator Murkowski and Representative Young need to be replaced by real conservatives, but did not commit to running against either one of them in 2016.

Is the Tea Party Dead/ More MSM Lies

140825marcusI have been engaged in a series of interviews, radio/TV discussing the topic, “Is The Tea Party Dead?” Because I am black, every interview has begun with me being asked my take on Ferguson before discussing the Tea Party.

Talk about the excrement hitting the fan; liberal interviewers are outraged when I say blacks are not routinely shot by police and that the MSM is promoting a deplorable, divisive and irresponsible false narrative.

One radio interviewer laughed at me saying she was looking at stats on her computer screen which proved otherwise. During another radio interview the host cited stats that say one hundred thousand people are shot by police every year in America. Bill O’Reilly stated the true FBI stats. Out of 12 million arrests only 400 fatal shootings; many justified. https://bit.ly/1v2lRIi

Clearly, the Left is using lies to spread their despicable evil lie that blacks are targeted and murdered by police. I am struck by the liberal interviewer’s passion behind spreading their lie. They act as if their belief is as true as there is a sun in the sky. The liberal media’s attitude is, of course the police murder black males. The media will slap around anyone who states otherwise…

While Dave Brat’s stone launched from his Tea Party slingshot, struck and defeated his GOP Goliath, we have lost several races. Our most recent disappointing loss is Joe Miller’s run for U.S. Senate, Alaska. Several great patriots in our Tea Party family came together to endorse Joe; Sarah Palin, Mark Levin, Dr. Dobson of Focus on the Family, Conservative Campaign Committee and others.

Establishment Narrative Dies In Republican Primary For Alaska US Senate Seat

joe-miller-roe-vs-wade-is-threat-1140x641Throughout the primary, pollsters and pundits laughed off Joe Miller’s candidacy as a Quixote run. By summer 2014, the polls showed him 25 points behind his Establishment opponents. And almost all of the high profile national Tea Party and conservative groups pushing insurgent challengers around the country left him for dead, offering no help. Several of the local conservative activist groups maintained a posture of neutrality, acting as virtual subsidiaries of the Republican Party.

________________________________________________________________________

There are still more than 27,000 votes to be counted in the Alaska Republican Primary for United States Senate. More than likely, the Establishment candidate, former Attorney General Dan Sullivan, will be the Republican nominee going forward.

The Establishment has claimed victory, and the media has all but declared the reform movement dead. But is that really the take-away? Let’s look at some facts.

Throughout the primary, pollsters and pundits laughed off Joe Miller’s candidacy as a Quixote run.

The Club for Growth, usually a reliable ally of movement conservatives, linked arms with Karl Rove’s American Crossroads, the US Chamber of Commerce, Paul Singer’s Friends for an American Majority, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and other Establishment Republicans in support of their golden boy, Dan Sullivan.

Further, other Washington conservatives like Erick Erickson at RedState.com and Phyllis Schlafly at Eagle Forum jumped on the bandwagon of the supposedly “more electable” Lt. Governor Mead Treadwell, who finished a distant third.

What makes this spectacle even more outrageous is that Mead Treadwell has never been a movement conservative, though he did adopt a platform redolent with conservative rhetoric.

Dan Sullivan spent about four million dollars during the primary, and his SuperPACs spent millions more.

Joe Miller, essentially going it alone, spent less than $400K, while Mead Treadwell’s million-dollar plus conservative act cut a significant swath out of his base. Why? Because conservatives didn’t unite behind Miller. Yet, the Alaska Republican primary was still winnable.

The entry of Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, and James Dobson gave Miller a significant boost. But it was just too late in the game to be decisive. Miller had run out of money and couldn’t close the gap.

The takeaway is something very different than the media and the beltway consultant class would have you believe. The truth is, 60% of Republicans weren’t swayed by the multimillion-dollar Establishment media blitz put on by Sullivan, Rove, and the US Chamber of Commerce.

Nor were they particularly enamored with Sullivan’s faux conservative schtick, a rhetorical tactic adopted by all the high-profile Establishment candidates around the country this cycle. If rhetoric counts, the Tea Party has already won.

The Alaska Republican primary was always going to come down to how the electorate was divided. If there was a clearly defined conservative up against two moderates, the conservative would win. On the other hand, if it was two conservatives dividing the base, over against one moderate, the moderate would win.

The reticence of the conservative movement to coalesce behind Miller cost us a seat to the Establishment. And given Sullivan’s rather weak position both with conservatives and libertarian independents, it could end in the re-election of Democrat Mark Begich. Surely Harry Reid and Barack Obama are applauding in the shadows.

But the demise of the reform movement is greatly exaggerated. It is time for conservatives to stop being cowed by pragmatic arguments and partisan politics. We must unite behind conservative candidates and ideas. And for the love of all that’s good, stop allowing phony polls to drive the agenda. Let’s put conservative unity above Republican unity. If we do, the future is ours.

The outcome in Alaska should lay the official establishment media narrative to rest. Conservatives didn’t lose; they surrendered.

If the right lessons are taken from this temporary setback, 2016 can be a banner year for conservatives.

Breaking: What Mike Huckabee Just Did Could Reignite the Tea Party

Mike-Huckabee-Endorses-Joe-MillerBy Floyd Brown.

In race after race across America, Tea Party candidates have faced long odds and millions in Republican establishment influence money spent against them.

No candidate has faced longer odds and more establishment money being spent against him than Joe Miller. His simple pro-Constitution, free market, low tax message made him a Tea Party favorite in 2010 and Joe Miller is back running for the US Senate in Alaska. Tuesday, August 19th is the Republican Party primary which will decide his fate.

I have traveled to Alaska for a front row seat.

If I had to judge after a day shadowing the tireless candidate, I would say the money spent against him has been wasted. Here in Anchorage, I see a race uninfluenced by the millions spent against Miller.

In the last 48 hours the tide had turned and the race is now very close.

Citizens for Joe Miller is pleased to announce that former Arkansas Governor and Fox News Host Mike Huckabee has endorsed Joe Miller for United States Senate.

Governor Huckabee hailed Miller’s strong stand on life, traditional values, the Fair Tax and constitutional government, calling him “the common sense choice for those who desire limited government and free market economics.”

“I am proud to have Governor Huckabee’s endorsement,” said Miller. “He is in the trenches every day, contending for common sense and traditional values. This is an incredible boost. I am grateful for his support.”

Read Huckabee’s full statement below:

“I am proud to endorse Joe Miller for United States Senate in Alaska, because Joe embodies the kind of values our country so desperately needs. He is unequivocally pro-life, pro-family, and pro-traditional marriage. And above all, he understands that life and liberty come from God.

“Joe is the only US Senate candidate endorsed by Alaska Right to Life, and my friend General Jerry Boykin at the Family Research Council.

“His understanding of Constitutional values also makes him the common sense choice for those who desire limited government and free market economics. As a fellow supporter of the Fair Tax, Joe is the kind of leader who will be a game-changer in Washington. We can restore the fortunes of America one election at a time, by electing common sense conservatives like Joe Miller.”

Joe-Miller-and-Sarah-PalinBreaking: Sarah Palin Just Made A Major Endorsement; This Could Be A Game Changer

By B. Christopher Agee.

Fox News reported Friday that former Alaska governor and Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin has endorsed U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller in that state’s upcoming primary election.

In a statement she released to the news network, Palin offered her support for the conservative candidate.

“To restore liberty, to defend our Constitution, to build American exceptionalism, we must send fighters to the U.S. Senate who will stop Barack Obama’s fundamental transformation of the nation we love,” she wrote. “The status quo has got to go, and in Alaska the man who understands this key to our state and country’s future also has the guts, wisdom, experience and optimism to fight for what is right – and win.”

Joe Miller called to congratulate fellow U.S. Senate candidate Dan Sullivan on a race well run.

Miller said, “While there are still over 20,000 absentee ballots to be counted and several major precincts yet to report, it seems unlikely we will be able to close the 7000 vote gap, given the current trends. I have called and congratulated Dan Sullivan for running a strong campaign.”

Miller added, “I want to thank our volunteers for their incredible effort and those who supported our campaign throughout the great state of Alaska. The pundits said our grassroots campaign (being outspent 10 to 1) did not stand a chance, but I think ‘We the People’ surprised more than a few tonight. I am grateful to God to live in such a wonderful state and country. As Ronald Reagan reminded us, ‘Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction,’ so I will continue to do my part to ensure it is alive and well and passed on to the next generation of Americans.”
