VP Harris Gives Chillingly Unclear Interview on Biden Admin Expanding Abortion (VIDEO)

On Monday afternoon, Vice President Kamala Harris sat down for an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash. Predictably, they discussed the fallout from the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade with the Dobbs v. Jackson decision.

The Biden administration has been looking to do what it can to expand abortion access despite the Dobbs decision. As the vice president revealed at one point during Monday’s interview, they are “looking at” what Bash described as “financial resources” in the form of a voucher program for women looking to travel to other states to have an abortion if it is not as easily accessible in their home state.

Harris called Bash’s question about the vouchers “a very important point” and explained it had to do with “ensuring women have the ability to actually travel without impairment.”

VP Harris Botches Juneteenth History Lesson About ‘400 Years of Slavery’

Vice President Kamala Harris bungled a history lesson about the Juneteenth holiday Monday, telling kids that black people were enslaved in America for 400 years — overstating the actual time period by more than 150 years.

“I think that we all know today is a day to celebrate the principle of freedom,” Harris told a group of about two dozen elementary school-age children at the National Museum of African American History & Culture in Washington. “And think about it in terms of the context of history, knowing that black people in America were not free for 400 years of slavery.”

“Let this be a day that is a day to celebrate the principle of freedom, but to speak about it honestly and accurately, both in the context of history and current application,” Harris went on during her apparently extemporaneous remarks.

The first African slaves in the American colonies arrived in 1619 in Virginia. Slavery was abolished through the 13th Amendment, which was ratified in 1865 — ending 246 years of the practice, not 400.

There’s “nothing” about supporting abortion that conflicts with faith or would require anyone to “abandon” or “change” it, according to Vice President Kamala Harris, who warned of the impact of criminalizing the procedure, while arguing the government “should not have the ability to decide what an individual does with her own body.”

Asked about her work with activists on the issue of abortion and what Americans should expect in terms of executive action from the Biden administration if the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling is overturned, Harris called for patience in remarks on Friday.

“Well, let’s first wait and see exactly what the Court does, because that’ll give us a good idea of, frankly, what harm is going to result,” she said.

Vaccinated Kamala Has COVID

Vice President Kamala Harris has tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday, her office announced in a statement.

“Today, Vice President Harris tested positive for COVID-19 on rapid and PCR tests. She has exhibited no symptoms, will isolate and continue to work from the Vice President’s residence,” said press secretary to the vice president Kirsten Allen.

“She has not been a close contact to the President or First Lady due to their respective recent travel schedules. She will follow CDC guidelines and the advice of her physicians. While on the road in California this week, Vice President Kamala Harris made a stop at Vandenburg Space Force Base north of Los Angeles to announce a new U.S. policy that again kneecaps U.S. defense capabilities when it comes to ensuring foreign threats are able to be deterred or destroyed. . .

Harris also, in the course of her remarks to Space Force Guardians, attempt to explain…space. In a section of her remarks delivered Monday, ones that were reminiscent of her comments on the “significance of the passage of time,” she really went for it:

“I think everyone here recognizes how extraordinary space is,” Harris said. “Whether it is satellites that orbit the earth, humans that land on the moon, or telescopes that peer into the furthest reaches of the universe, space is exciting,” she told the Space Force Guardians who presumably were already aware of what space is. “It spurs our imaginations, and it forces us to ask big questions,” Harris added. “Space, it affects us all — and it connects us all.”

Biden, Harris Gave Less to Charity Than Others in Their Income Bracket

When it comes to charity, President Biden and Vice President Harris came up short compared to their fellow Americans, a review of their tax returns shows.

The president and First Lady Jill Biden reported $610,702 in income for 2021 and paid $183,925 in federal and state income taxes. The couple gave $17,394 to charity, or about 2.8%. That’s roughly 0.3 % less than the average charitable deduction for Americans making between $500,000 and $2 million, according to 2016 data from the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center.

In Harris’ case, the disparity was worse. The vice president and her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, earned $1,655,563 in 2021 and paid $523,371 in federal income taxes. The couple donated $22,100 — or 1.3% — to charity. The figure is considerably less than the 3.1% on average donated by those making between $500,000 and $2 million.

The giving disparity between the Biden and Harris families was first reported by Fox News. The Tax Policy Center data showed the poorest Americans were by far the most generous, with those making less than $50,000 who itemized charitable deductions donating 8.4%.

Biden’s largest charitable donation of 2021 was a $5,000 gift to the Beau Biden Foundation, named in honor of his son who died of cancer in 2015. The Bidens were considerably more generous in 2020, donating $30,704 of their income to charity, or about 5%. Are Biden and Harris ‘Incompetent’? See How Many Americans Think So

. . .[A] new poll from McLaughlin & Associates reveals that six of 10 Americans think either Biden or Harris – or both – are “incompetent.”

The pollster explained in an analysis at Newsmax, “This means six in 10 voters view either our president, the vice president or both as incompetent. This is a very disturbing result at a time when inflation is rampant and war is threatening the world.”

Further, the polling shows that Americans are backing a brain test for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, an octogenarian, too.

Paul Bedard in his Washington Secrets column noted it was a “growing sign of voter concern about the cognitive abilities of the nation’s elderly leadership.” . . .

White House Quietly Blamed Kamala Harris Not Her Staff for Disastrous Start

President Joe Biden’s team quietly blamed Vice President Kamala Harris for her disastrous first year in office, a new book reveals.

White House communications director Kate Bedingfield privately revealed her feelings about Harris’ problems.

The report is revealed in the book This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden, and the Battle for America’s Future by New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alex Burns.

From the book:

In private, Bedingfeld had taken to noting that the vice presidency was not the first time in Harris’s political career that she had fallen short of sky-high expectations: Her Senate office had been messy and her presidential campaign had been a fiasco. Perhaps, she suggested, the problem was not the vice president’s staff.

‘Her Office Has A Higher Turnover Than Taco Bell’: Kamala Harris’ National Security Adviser Quits

On Monday, in the wake of Vice President Kamala Harris’ disastrous visit to Poland, it was reported that her National Security Adviser Nancy McEldowney, will become the latest staffer to leave Harris’ office.

According to Reuters, McEldowney, who advised not only Harris but also President Biden on foreign affairs including Afghanistan, Iran, and Ukraine, wrote in an internal memo that she was quitting in order to “focus on some pressing personal matters,” adding, “This was a difficult decision because I am so deeply committed to the work we do and the crucial national interest we serve. But after more than a year, this is the right decision for my family.”

Reuters noted McEldowney cautioned she was not “not rushing out the door.”

McEldowney’s announced departure follows on the heels of Harris’ Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh, who revealed last week she was leaving. In February, Kate Childs Graham, the head of Harris’ speechwriting team, quit.
