Man Horrifically Beaten in NYC Over Trump Hat

By FOX. A New York City art gallery owner says he was viciously beaten in Manhattan by a large group of teens for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Jahangir “John” Turan, 42, says it happened Tuesday evening on Canal Street. He was wearing the MAGA hat that he had purchased earlier in the day at Trump Tower. . .

He says the group of about 15 “kids” yelled “F*** Trump” and stomped on him. One of them smashed his head into a scaffold. Turan says he suffered a fracture in his cheek and a badly swollen eye. He’s awaiting an eye specialist to determine if there is any permanent damage to his sight.

New York Man Says He Was Attacked by Group of Teens for Wearing MAGA Hat

By The Hill. A New York man claims he was attacked by a group of teenagers in Manhattan this week for wearing one of President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” hats.

Jahangir “John” Turan, the owner of an art gallery, told Fox 5 New York that the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon on Canal Street.

Earlier in the day, he said he visited Trump Tower and purchased one of the signature red hats featuring Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan because “I think he’s doing a great job.” . . .

The “MAGA” hat, a symbol of Trump’s campaign, has sparked controversy since his 2016 election, and altercations involving the gear have drawn national attention before.

WATCH: Trump Drops in on MAGA Themed Wedding

After a tumultuous and bizarre week in Washington, President Trump unexpectedly dropped in on the wedding of PJ Mongelli and Nicole Marie Mongelli on Saturday night at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey, as enthusiastic attendees broke into chants of “USA.”

Fox News is told the bride and groom are huge fans of the president, had dreamed of him attending their wedding and got engaged at the golf club in 2017. Flags and pro-Trump banners could be seen at the event.

The bride said she’d sent numerous requests to the president in hopes he would attend — and that Trump ended up paying two visits to separate wedding events. At the first event, he vowed to show up to the second, and kept his word. . .

In videos posted to social media, Secret Service agents were seen keeping most attendees at bay while the bride and groom approached Trump and hugged him.

In March, Trump fulfilled a terminally ill Connecticut man’s dying wish with a phone call — with a little help from the man’s sister, an elected Democrat.

By Fox News. President Trump, at a fiery “Make America Great Again” campaign rally Wednesday night in Greenville, North Carolina, blasted four progressive congresswomen, Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts, with whom he continues to spar after an ongoing feud over comments he made against them that critics deemed “racist.” . . .

Trump slammed Omar on Wednesday saying she “smeared U.S. service members in ‘Black Hawk Down.’ She slandered the brave Americans trying to keep peace in Somalia,” a dig at her Somali-American heritage. . .

Trump moved on to his critique of Tlaib, saying she “used the F-word to describe the presidency and your president.”

“That’s not nice, even for me,” Trump said. “That’s not somebody who loves our country.” . . .

Of Pressley, Trump said the congresswoman “thinks that people with the same skin color all need to think the same. Watch: Trump Rally Chants ‘Send Her Back’ After President Slams Ilhan Omar

“Omar has a history of launching vicious screeds,” the president said to chants of “send her back.”

Multiple Females Allegedly Push, Punch Former College Linebacker over His MAGA Hat. He Handles It like a Gentleman.

. . .As [Daniel] Weldon tells it, he ventured out to celebrate the Fourth of July with a friend and was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat — the iconic symbol of President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign. After he and his friend parted ways, the former football player said trouble found him.

“I’m at Pita Pit, and I get surrounded by like 7 guys and girls,” he wrote on Facebook. “They start yelling at me [because] of what I’m wearing (hat and pin). They were calling me names and saying how awful of a person I was (I’m saying back this is why we’re winning in 2020).” . . .

“The 4 or 5 girls start pushing me and punching,” Weldon added. “I’m a former college linebacker, so I can take a hit, and it’s not a big deal, right? But one snatched my hat and tried to throw it away while another ripped my pin and tossed it. The dudes they were with actually ended up deescalating the situation after the girls got violent and pulled them outside. I use the restroom and come back to one of them giving me the bird.”

And despite the physical attacks he said he endured, Weldon told the outlet the only thing he did in response was grab his hat so it stayed on his head and pick his pin off the ground.

Writer Wore a MAGA Hat Into an Ultra-Liberal Vegan Restaurant. Here’s What Happened.

As a case study in American political tribalism in the age of President Trump, a Los Angeles writer wore a MAGA hat to an ultra-liberal vegan restaurant in the city to see what sort of adventures would unfold. Quite shockingly, people actually proved his thesis wrong.

The article by Joel Stein in Los Angeles Magazine confronts the fact that Americans hate each other in the age of President Trump, a fever he himself admits to having been inflicted with at times. . .

In light of all this, Stein devised a little social experiment: wear the iconic Make America Great Again hat to the ultra-liberal Café Gratitude in Larchmont, which he describes as a “vegan hipster restaurant.” It’s a restaurant so liberal that when the establishment sold a “Make America Grateful Hat,” customers complained that it took President Trump’s evil too lightly. . .

“Before I left, I asked the black waiter, Darick Thomas, how he felt about my hat,” Stein continues. “‘I don’t care. At all. Really. At all! I look at a hat and that doesn’t tell me who the person is,’ he said. “‘I’m not against Trump. He says some smart things; he says some dumb things.'”

Throughout Stein’s whole time at the restaurant, only one person, a patron, openly expressed disapproval of his MAGA hat. “Is that guy wearing a f***ing MAGA hat?” the patron asked at the counter. WATCH: Leftist Students Freak out, Get Arrested – Over a MAGA Hat

It appears another gaggle of left-wing college students have allowed the sight of a “Make America Great Again” hat — the iconic symbol of President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign that’s more or less become kryptonite to leftists — get the better of their decision-making skills and emotions.

A Texas State University student shot video Wednesday of what he told Campus Reform occurred after another student stole his MAGA hat amid a heated political discussion on campus. . .

An apparent officer is heard speaking to the student whose MAGA hat was allegedly stolen, asking if he wants to press charges, and the student responds that he does and then is directed to follow the person.

As the pair of handcuffed students are led away, someone is heard off camera stating, “If that’s not white privilege I don’t know what the f*** is.” . . .

Police said four students were arrested Wednesday but didn’t mention the MAGA hat. It isn’t clear what the fourth arrested student did in relation to the incident, as the clip shows only three in handcuffs. Black Immigrant Wearing MAGA Hat Attacked

A black immigrant from West Africa was beaten up Saturday by two black men in Germantown, Maryland, because the victim was wearing a red Donald Trump “Make America Great Again” hat, police say.

The victim, Atsu Nable, is a legal immigrant from Togo and he supports President Donald Trump. But the two alleged attackers were apparently incensed by the victim’s Trump hat.

According to ABC 7, the man was punched in the head and upper body and his hat taken away from him.

The Montgomery County Police Department said in a Monday press release that the beaten man, “who was wearing a red, Make America Great Again hat, was approached by two men who began harassing the victim and asking why he was wearing the MAGA hat.”

“The victim told the suspects that he was entitled to his own views and kept walking away from the suspects. The suspects began striking the victim and telling him to take the hat off. The victim continued to be struck by the suspects until he fell to the ground. The suspects then removed property from the victim and destroyed items of value. The suspects then fled the scene,” the statement added.

Man Arrested in Reported Sword Attack Over MAGA Hat Spat

By AP. San Francisco police arrested a man they say slashed another man’s hand with a sword after the victim allegedly knocked a “Make America Great Again” hat off his head.

Police say 30-year-old Leor Bergland was arrested Wednesday night when officers spotted him in a restaurant.

Police say a 27-year-old Berkeley resident swatted Bergland’s baseball cap from his head Friday night when they encountered each other in a San Francisco neighborhood. Police say Bergland drew a sword and cut the victim’s left hand before fleeing. The victim and another man gave chase, but stopped when Bergland turned on them and brandished the sword. Woman Harassed 74-Year-Old Man for Wearing MAGA Hat in Starbucks: ‘Get the F*** out of My Town’

By Yahoo. A California accountant’s attempt to shame an elderly Trump supporter backfired.

On Monday, Palo Alto local Rebecca Parker Mankey told her followers on Facebook that she reamed out a 74-year-old man, reportedly named Victor F., at Starbucks for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

“Anybody in Palo Alto knows this freak,” Mankey wrote alongside photos of the man. “He was sitting in Starbucks. I think he lives in Palo Alto. He will never forget me and will think seriously about wearing that hat in my town ever again. If you see him in this hat, please confront him. You do not want to be the person who didn’t speak up as we slipped into fascism.”

She continued, “I yelled at him. Called the entire Starbucks to order and yelled at him more about how it is not ok to hate brown people. He threatened to call the cops. I left after yelling at him some more.”

After her lunch break, Mankey said she returned to Starbucks. “I went back in and yelled that I had changed my mind and wanted him to call the police because I wanted to know his name, where he lived, his wife’s name, and where his kids went to school,” she wrote.

School Bus Aide Rips MAGA Hat off Student’s Head

Florida police are investigating a public school bus aide who allegedly ripped a “Make America Great Again” hat off the head of a 14-year-old student.

According to a report from a local Florida news outlet, The incident, which was caught on the bus’s security camera, shows that the bus aide screamed at the student for wearing a MAGA hat on the bus.

“Boy, if you don’t take that hat on this bus. Take it off. Take that hat off. Take the hat off. Now,” the aide said to the student. . .

The boy, 14-year-old Gunnar Johansson, told a local NBC affiliate that he didn’t do anything wrong. He says that the aide also threatened to turn the bus around if he didn’t remove his hat. “She, like, threatened me with a referral and threatened to turn the bus around. I said ‘write me up, I didn’t do anything wrong’, and then she yanked my hat off. It was crazy,” Johansson said in a comment. He also told reporters that other students were wearing Trump apparel at school that day. Additionally, he was allowed to put his MAGA hat back on once he got to school. Woman Who Assaulted Man in MAGA Hat Is a Illegal Alien

By Breitbart. A Brazilian national arrested for allegedly assaulting a man wearing a “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) hat was in the U.S. illegally, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials said.

ICE agents took Rosiane Santos, 41, into custody on Tuesday after finding out she was residing in the U.S. illegally, and she is now facing deportation, Boston 25 News reported.

“Deportation officers with ICE’s Fugitive Operations Team arrested Rosie Santos, an unlawfully present citizen of Brazil,” ICE said in a statement. “Santos is facing local charges for assault and other offenses. She is presently in ICE custody and has been entered into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts.”

Santos, who resided in Falmouth, Massachusetts, had been arrested by police several days earlier on charges of assault, battery, and disorderly conduct for allegedly harassing and assaulting a 23-year-old man wearing the the Trump campaign’s signature red MAGA cap. . .

The Brazilian national, who pleaded not guilty to the charges against her at a Wednesday court hearing before the judge released her on her own recognizance, claimed she was actually “the victim” of the incident because she felt “discriminated” against. 81-Year-Old Man Wearing MAGA Hat Attacked in NJ Supermarket

By NBC New York. An 81-year-old man was attacked in a New Jersey supermarket after someone confronted him about the MAGA hat he was wearing, prosecutors say.

The Franklin Township resident was shopping at a store on Elizabeth Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Monday when someone confronted him about the hat, Somerset County prosecutors said Tuesday.

A law enforcement source told News 4 the attack happened at the ShopRite of Somerset on Elizabeth Avenue. The store’s employees couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
