Woman Assaults Young Man Wearing MAGA Hat, Then Claims She’s the Victim

By The Blaze. A 41-year-old Massachusetts woman is facing charges after reportedly assaulting a young man who was wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

The incident in question took place at a Falmouth, Massachusetts, Mexican restaurant last week.

Bryton Turner, 23, was wearing the hat inside the eatery, reportedly minding his own business, when Rosiane Santos stalked over and began harassing the young man over his hat. . .

Santos — a Brazilian immigrant — later said that she was actually the victim in the incident, and told police that Turner’s hat upset her.

“I had a little bit to drink maybe that’s the reason that I couldn’t walk away but being discriminated for so many times in my life, I just had to stand up for myself,” she explained. “He’s not a victim. Woman Arrested for Assaulting Man Wearing MAGA Hat on Cape Cod

By Boston 25 News. . .Turner says he was minding his own business, when Santos started yelling at him because of his hat, which bears the theme that President Donald Trump campaigned on.

The woman is seen walking behind him and hitting his hat off his head.

When asked if Turner did anything to provoke Santos, bartender Geo Macarao said, “No, no he just walked in and ordered his food.”

When police showed up to the restaurant, the woman told them the man shouldn’t be allowed to eat in a Mexican restaurant. President Donald Trump is aiming to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Independent Investigation Shows Covington Boys Told the Truth, Confirms Nathan Phillips Is a Liar Amplified by the Media

The results of an independent investigation into the January 18, 2019 Lincoln Memorial confrontation between leftist activist Nathan Phillips, black supremacist group the Black Hebrew Israelites and students from Covington Catholic High School were released Wednesday by Greater Cincinatti Investigation, Inc.

The report, which is four pages long, shows what everyone could have known initially if the time was taken to reach for context: Covington students didn’t use a single racial slur against either Phillips or the Black Hebrew Israelites and they didn’t instigate the confrontation. In fact, it was the opposite.

“We found no evidence of offensive or racist statements by students to Mr. Phillips or members of his group,” the report states. “We found no evidence that the students performed a ‘Build the Wall’ chant.”

The incident went viral after a tiny portion of the more than hour long ordeal was posted on the internet. The boys from Covington, who are teenagers, were accused of “staring down” and hurling racial statements. There was no evidence of this, but because they were white boys wearing “Make America Great Again” hats, confirmation bias claimed it was true. Journalists took Phillips at his word, not because it was true, but because he is Native American. Interestingly, the investigation found in years past some students purchased “Hope” hats in support of former President Barack Obama. . .

“We have attempted to reach out to Mr. Phillips by phone and by e-mail, informing him that we desired to interview him in person and that we were prepared to meet him in Michigan or any location he might prefer. We also sent Mr. Phillips’ daughter an e-mail as they both appear to be involved in the Native Youth Alliance and have shared their e-mail addresses after the event to thank everyone for reaching out and supporting them. Lawyers Take First Steps in Repairing Covington Student’s Reputation

The high profile libel attorney who’s representing Nick Sandmann, the Covington Catholic teen who was wrongly smeared as a racist last month, released a 14-minute video revealing the truth about what happened on January 18, when a brief clip appearing to show Sandmann mocking Native American activist Nathan Phillips went viral.

The video shows events leading up to the incident—the role the black Hebrew Israelites played as well as the Native American activists. A considerable amount of the short film is also spent on Phillips’s role in spreading a false narrative against Sandmann and his classmates and the media’s culpability in being all too quick to propagate it.

“Two weeks ago, the mainstream media, politicians, church officials, commentators, & celebrities rushed to judgment to wrongfully condemn, threaten, disparage & vilify Nick Sandmann based solely on a few seconds of an out-of-context video clip. It only takes 15 minutes to learn the truth,” the description on the YouTube video says. . .

After a review, the lawyers “concluded we have a good faith basis to sue” certain organizations, McMurtry said. However, he said not all the organizations who were sent letters will necessarily be sued. He added that this process will not be over quickly.

McMurtry said his clients will also be demanding retractions and apologies in addition to possible litigation. (Cincinnati.com)

Restaurant Bans MAGA Hat and Customers Are Not Happy

With MAGA hat-wearing Catholic high school students getting branded hate-mongers for “smirking” and news analysts admitting on air that when they see the iconic red hat all they see is a white hood, one award-winning San Francisco restaurant owner has taken the inevitable next step by announcing that he will refuse service to anyone who dares wear the Make America Great Again hat at his establishment.

“It hasn’t happened yet, but if you come to my restaurant wearing a MAGA cap, you aren’t getting served, same as if you come in wearing a swastika, white hood, or any other symbol of intolerance and hate,” J. Kenji López-Alt announced on social media Sunday. “MAGA hats are like white hoods except stupider because you can see exactly who is wearing them,” he added. . .

Despite the overwhelmingly liberal leaning of the area, the restaurant’s stance was “was met with a mixed reaction from some of his diners this week,” the Chronicle reports, though most of the quotes it got from customers are negative.

One customer, who was dining at the restaurant for her second time, told the outlet, “I see where he’s coming from, but I don’t think you should just keep people out because of a hat. I get that idea, that maybe that hat could mean the person wearing it is just looking for a fight, but just cutting off dialogue, not giving a chance to get to know someone — I just don’t know if that’s something I would do.” . . .

A male customer likewise didn’t like the MAGA hat ban policy, telling the outlet, “I don’t think it matters to me about the rule, but the hat doesn’t just tell you all about the person. Media Outlets Say Actor Was Beaten in Chicago by Attackers Who Yelled, ‘This Is MAGA Country!’ but Cops Aren’t Saying That.

Numerous media outlets on Tuesday reported that “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett was attacked in Chicago by men who yelled, “This is MAGA country!” — a reference to the iconic red “Make America Great Again” hat from President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.

But Chicago Police on Tuesday afternoon told TheBlaze they have no information regarding the alleged attackers’ descriptions nor on what they said. Officer Michelle Tannehill added to TheBlaze that detectives are still investigating, gathering video, and speaking to witnesses.

Police released a statement saying they “received a report of a possible racially-charged assault and battery involving a cast member of the television show Empire. Given the severity of the allegations, we are taking this investigation very seriously and treating it as a possible hate crime.”

Smollett was walking on Tuesday when two unknown offenders approached him and started yelling “racial and homophobic slurs,” USA Today reported, citing police. The pair used their hands to batter the victim and poured an unknown chemical substance on him, the paper added, noting one of the offenders wrapped a rope around the victim’s neck. Smollett then transported himself to Northwestern Hospital, USA Today added, citing police, adding that the actor is in good condition.

MAGA Kid Madness Continues: Suspicious Package Sent to Covington Diocese

We’re back. It’s another episode of Triggered, and the Left surely has been insufferable over the past week. This Covington Catholic story has reached new levels of absurdity and danger. Last week, a group of students from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky gathered in D.C. by the Lincoln Memorial. They were there for the March for Life. Black Hebrew Israelites harassed them with obscenities. The students did sports chants to drown out the vulgarity. Nathan Phillips, a Native American man who was in the city for the Indigenous Peoples March, approached the crowd to defuse the situation, supposedly. The point is it was not a racially motivated hounding in which these kids, sporting MAGA hats, surrounded a Native America man and mocked him. That didn’t happen. It’s straight fake news. Video evidence has refuted the entire narrative. Still, the Left is relentless. Death threats have been directed to the students at the school, which now requires police security. And now a suspicious package was sent to the diocese (via WaPo):

The Diocese of Covington, at the center of a controversy over students’ behavior during a confrontation with a Native American man last week, was evacuated Wednesday afternoon following reports of a suspicious package.

The evacuation, first reported by local media, was confirmed by an on-duty firefighter at Covington’s Firehouse #1, a short distance from the Catholic basilica, which houses the diocese.

“The chief and the assistant fire chief are on the run,” the firefighter said, “and this is an active, ongoing situation.”

According to WLWT5, Cincinnati Bomb Squad and emergency management was on the scene in central Covington. Local TV stations showed emergency vehicles responding.

Here’s How Major News Outlets Updated Their Stories About the Covington Controversy

Some prominent media outlets had to update their stories on a video that showed a Native American activist’s encounter with a group of high school boys wearing “Make America Great Again” hats.

A short video and picture of the incident were initially described as the boys antagonizing and mocking the Native American veteran, Nathan Phillips, but a longer video shows that Phillips approached the boys and played a drum in front of one of them, now identified as Nick Sandmann, while the boy looked on and smiled.

The New York Times initially led with a “Boys in ‘Make America Great Again’ Hats Mob Native Elder at Indigenous Peoples March” story but added a note to it.

“Interviews and additional video footage have offered a fuller picture of what happened in this encounter,” they wrote, “including the context that the Native American man approached the students amid broader tensions outside the Lincoln Memorial. Read the latest article here.”

Vile: NBC Dumps Reporter Who Wore MAGA Hat While Covering a Trump Rally

A reporter who worked for NBC affiliate KTTC-TV in Minnesota was fired on Friday for sporting a “Make America Great Again” hat while covering a Trump rally.

Jim Bunner, one of the station’s multimedia journalists, covered the Trump rally in Rochester, Minnesota on Thursday. While at the rally he wore a red MAGA hat and a jacket with the station’s logo. . .

Bunner was active on social media and made his conservative leanings known. At one point he had an NRA banner on his profile picture and he even posted a video of himself dancing in the newsroom in celebration of President Trump’s inauguration, BuzzFeed reported.

The photos of Bunner were taken by Mark Vancleave, a video journalist for Minneapolis’ Star Tribune.

Democratic Socialist Threatens to Shoot up MAGA Event at Trump Hotel

By Daily Wire. A supporter of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has reportedly threatened to shoot up a “Make America Great Again” event at the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C.

Law enforcement officials with the Metropolitan Police Department have opened up an investigation in response to the threat, which was posted to Twitter on Tuesday, The Daily Mail reports.

“I am coming with a gun and i expect to get numerous bloodstained MAGA hats as trophies,” the Twitter account wrote to right-wing pundit Cassandra Fairbanks.

The account used the DSA logo as its profile photo and added an emoji of a rose to its name, which is common among DSA supporters.

Shortly after the threat was posted, the owner of the account appears to have changed their Twitter handle, according to Fairbanks.

DC Police Investigate Threat to Commit Mass Shooting at a MAGA Event in Trump International Hotel

By Daily Mail. Police have responded to the Trump International Hotel in Washington DC after an anonymous threat to shoot up a meeting there supporting President Donald Trump.

The threat was made ahead of the planned Tuesday evening event by an anonymous Twitter account that supports the Democratic Socialists, a far-left political group. . .

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the threat, department spokesman Hugh Carew told DailyMail.com, adding that no further details were immediately available.

Man and Woman Launch Vicious Attack on Seattle Teen for Wearing MAGA Hat in Public

Wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat in Seattle can be dangerous, as one Illinois teenager is sharing with the world.

Ashton Hess, who was vacationing with his family in Seattle recently, has released a video showing how he was harassed for wearing one of the trademark red hats worn by supporters of President Donald Trump.

Hess said that he was with his family waiting for a ride outside the Starbucks Reserve Roastery when the incident occurred, Fox News reported.

“My hat was knocked on the ground and picked up by the girl you see at the beginning of the video. She threw the hat to the man with green hair and he took off with it. He spat on it and then threw it into the street. He continued to curse at and flip off my family,” Hess wrote on his YouTube account, where he posted the video.

“I did absolutely nothing to provoke anyone around, and was completely blind sided when I was hit. He was quick to run away after my dad, my brother, and I started walking after him. The left doesn’t care about who you are (or) what you stand for. The left only knows that you must be evil,” he wrote.

In the video, Hess tells the man he said spat on his hat, “That’s my property dude. Come on.”

The man then told Hess to “get the f— out (of) this city.”

Hess, who is from Illinois, summarized the incident in an interview with station KIRO.

“This guy just runs up and hits me in the head, knocking my hat off … he took off down the street with it, spit on it and threw it in the street, and he turned around and started cursing at me for no reason,” Hess said.

Hess said there have been times when the hat attracts glares, but he said he “never expected something like to be hit in the head over a hat I was wearing.”

“I want to expose the left for what they do … We have a First Amendment right to believe in whatever we want, and when that stuff gets out about the left side doing things like that, I do think it hurts them more than it helps them,” Hess said.

Hess and his family followed up with an interview with The Daily Wire.

“I was angry that this guy thought he had the right to attack our son because he disagreed with the text on his hat,” The Daily Wire quoted the teenager’s parents as saying. “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; if you disagree with that opinion, you’re not free to be aggressive.”

The Daily Wire identified the man who harassed Hess as Eddie Jackson. Several tweets from a green-haired man who said he is “non-binary” show him boasting of the incident.

Hess, 17, said he has known the left is intolerant ever since he wore a pro-NRA hat to a left-wing march to see what happened.
