Text Message Reportedly Reveals Motivation Of ‘Deeply Disturbed’ Man Killed Attempting To Breach Mar-a-Lago

By Daily Caller. The man killed by Secret Service agents Sunday while attempting to breach President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida had an apparent obsession with the release of files pertaining to deceased child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, TMZ reported.

Two agents and a deputy from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office confronted Austin Tucker Martin, 21, who was armed with a shotgun and carrying a gas can, according to a press conference held by federal and local law enforcement officials following a statement from the U.S. Secret Service. The texts between Martin and a co-worker about the Epstein files from Feb. 15 indicated a belief there was a cover-up about the disgraced financier, according to TMZ.

“I don’t know if you read up on the Epstein Files, but evil is real and unmistakable,” one of Martin’s texts reads. “The best people like you and I can do is use what little influence we have. Tell other people about what you hear about the Epstein files and what the government is doing about it. Raise awareness.”

The Department of Justice released 3.5 million pages of documents from its collection of Epstein files Jan. 30, which included contacts Epstein had with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and former White House strategist Steve Bannon.

The disgraced financier, arrested in 2019 on sex trafficking charges, apparently committed suicide in his Manhattan jail cell while awaiting trial. Even after he became a convicted sex offender, Epstein had extensive ties to celebrities, politicians, and executives, including L Brands founder Lex Wexner, director Woody Allen, and Andrew -Windsor, the former Duke of York. Armed Man Shot and Killed After Entering Mar-a-Lago’s Secure Perimeter

By Breitbart. An armed man was shot and killed around 1:30 a.m. Sunday after entering Mar-a-Lago’s secure perimeter, President Donald Trump’s resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

The Associated Press quoted the Secret Service saying the man, believed to be in his 20s, was “observed by the north gate of the Mar-a-Lago property carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can.”

The AP noted that the man was “shot by Secret Service agents and a Palm Beach County sheriff deputy.” (Read more from “Armed Man Shot and Killed After Entering Mar-a-Lago’s Secure Perimeter” HERE)

U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighters Forced to Intercept 2 Aircraft That Invaded Mar-a-Lago Airspace

Air Force F-16 fighter jets scrambled Sunday to intercept aircraft that entered the airspace over President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida — the second time that’s happened in 48 hours, NORAD says.

A civilian aircraft flew into the no-fly zone over the property at around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, according to a statement.

The fighter jets fired flares to warn the pilots to move out of the area, the military said.

The aircraft was then escorted out of the area. (Read more from “U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighters Forced to Intercept 2 Aircraft That Invaded Mar-a-Lago Airspace” HERE)

FBI Returns Property Seized From Trump During Mar-a-Lago Raids

The FBI has returned to President Trump the property it seized during the raid of Mar-a-Lago when law enforcement stormed his residence as part of its investigation into whether he mishandled classified documents.

“The Department of Justice has just returned the boxes that deranged Jack Smith made such a big deal about,” Mr. Trump said in a statement Friday. “They are being brought down to Florida and will someday be part of the Trump Presidential Library. Justice finally won out. I did absolutely nothing wrong. This was merely an attack on a political opponent that, obviously, did not work well. Justice in our country will now be restored.”

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung confirmed that the boxes were loaded on Air Force One to return to Mr. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.

“We are taking possession of the boxes today and loading them onto Air Force Once,” Mr. Cheung said.

Alina Habba, a counselor to Mr. Trump, said she personally put the boxes on Air Force One.

“Justice has been and will continue to be restored in this country under President Trump. Truth and Justice always win in the end. God Bless America,” she said. (Read more from “FBI Returns Property Seized From Trump During Mar-a-Lago Raids” HERE)

FBI Admits to Staging Trump Crime Scene Photo with Props

Recent revelations have surfaced regarding the infamous crime scene photo depicting classified documents allegedly discovered at Mar-a-Lago, fueling widespread speculation about Trump’s involvement. The photo, featuring stark red “classification” cover sheets, captured public attention in the aftermath of the raid, prompting intense scrutiny from media outlets.

New developments have shed light on the origins of the cover sheets featured in the photo. In a recent court filing, it was disclosed that FBI agents had brought the cover sheets to the scene to mark classified documents, using them as placeholders. However, discrepancies emerged regarding the accurate matching of these placeholders with the corresponding documents.

According to Waltine Nauta, Trump’s defense attorney, the placeholders brought by the FBI were not appropriately aligned with the classified documents seized during the raid. This discrepancy was highlighted in Nauta’s filing, indicating a potential flaw in the investigation process.

Further scrutiny revealed that a significant number of documents, over a hundred in total, bore classification markings, with some accompanied by colored cover sheets denoting their classified status. However, it was disclosed that the FBI agents failed to accurately match these cover sheets with the respective documents during the staging process.

The gravity of this oversight was underscored by Kelly’s report, which suggested that misplacement of placeholders could jeopardize the integrity of the case, particularly if crucial documents were mishandled. This revelation raises concerns about the potential impact on the espionage charges levied against Trump, as several documents implicated in the case may have been mishandled during the investigation.

In response to these revelations, FBI spokesperson Bratt acknowledged that the placeholders had been rearranged at the scene and conceded that not all of them were correctly matched with the corresponding documents. This admission underscores the complexities surrounding the investigation and raises questions about the reliability of the evidence presented.

Top FBI Agents Did Not Want to Raid Mar-a-Lago — But DOJ Prosecutors Pushed Them Anyway: Report

Senior FBI agents reportedly voiced opposition to raiding Mar-a-Lago last year, but Department of Justice prosecutors made them go ahead anyway.

Months before the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago to recover classified documents, there were intense internal deliberations between the FBI and DOJ prosecutors, the Washington Post reported.

On one hand, FBI agents urged cooperation with the former president, knowing the political and public ramifications of aggressive tactics, like a surprise raid. But aggressive is reportedly what prosecutors wanted. From the Post:

On one side, federal prosecutors in the department’s national security division advocated aggressive ways to secure some of the country’s most closely guarded secrets, which they feared Trump was intentionally hiding at Mar-a-Lago; on the other, FBI agents in the Washington field office urged more caution with such a high-profile matter, recommending they take a cooperative rather than confrontational approach.

Eventually, after months of discussions, prosecutors won. On Aug. 8, Trump revealed that the FBI had searched his property, setting off a political firestorm just months before the midterm elections. Scenes From a Celebration of the Same-sex Marriage Law — At Mar-a-Lago

Hundreds of guests in tuxedos of all styles — sequined, quilted, velvet — and colorful gowns sipped on Trump-branded champagne and martinis. Between courses of steak and bite-sized Key lime pie, they danced to “YMCA” and “Macho Man,” the disco anthems at Trump rallies.

Thursday night’s Log Cabin Republicans’ “Spirit of Lincoln” gala in the main ballroom of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago beachfront club was a joyous celebration of gay rights and — in a case of ironic timing — the historic same-sex marriage law signed by President Joe Biden days earlier. . .

But the main attraction, obviously, was Trump. He received a standing ovation after delivering an enthusiastic affirmation of gay rights not often heard in the GOP.

“We are fighting for the gay community, and we are fighting and fighting hard,” the former president and 2024 candidate said. “With the help of many of the people here tonight in recent years, our movement has taken incredible strides, the strides you’ve made here is incredible.”

Throughout the evening, speakers praised Trump for his embrace of the gay community. They credited him for his initiatives to combat the criminalization of homosexuality, his work pushing for public heath initiatives to combat the HIV epidemic, and for appointing the first openly gay Cabinet member, Grenell, as director of national intelligence. DOJ to Supreme Court: Don’t Intervene in the Case Involving Our Ransacking of Mar-A-Lago

This story began as a napalm raid but has now been reduced to a fire used to toast marshmallows for smores. That’s due to this FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago being boiled down to lawyer’s work, which is dull and torturously slow. We’ve reached the end of the road here regarding the lawfare, as the Trump team asked the Supreme Court to intervene. The Justice Department is asking the high court to avoid this case since they need to keep it alive in the hopes that they can find something to weaponize against the former president. The Trump team is arguing that the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, which ruled on the most recent DOJ appeal about their August raid, didn’t have the jurisdiction to rule on the special master ruling (via The Hill):

The Justice Department on Tuesday asked the Supreme Court to reject former President Trump’s plea to intervene in his legal battle and allow the special master to review the classified documents seized at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump’s request to the high court comes after the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals sided with the Justice Department, siphoning off some 100 classified records from the third-party special master review of the documents seized from his Florida home.

The motion from Trump largely hinged on procedural grounds, arguing the appeals court erred by granting a stay of a challenge to a Florida judge’s ruling appointing the special master that barred the Department of Justice (DOJ) from accessing the classified records for its investigation.

But the Justice Department on Tuesday swiped back at Trump, arguing his legal team had done little to justify the need for the court’s intervention, as he failed to show he would be harmed without its action.

Justice Department Scores Win Against Trump in Mar-a-Lago Raid Case on Special Master Appeal

An appeals court has granted the Justice Department’s request to speed up its appeal of the appointment of the special master examining the documents obtained during the FBI raid of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

Trump opposed the DOJ’s efforts to expedite its circuit court appeal, with the former president’s lawyers saying this week that the timeline for DOJ’s appeal should be broadened and that oral arguments shouldn’t happen until January at the earliest. The appeals court panel appeared to reject much of that in siding with the Justice Department.

U.S. Circuit Judge Adalberto Jordan ruled Wednesday that DOJ’s “motion to expedite appeal is granted” and that the court clerk was directed “to expedite the appeal for merits disposition purposes.” A special merits panel will decide “when and how to hear oral argument,” but for now, the Justice Department’s initial brief is due Oct. 14, Trump’s response is due Nov. 10, and the DOJ’s reply to that is due Nov. 17.

The Justice Department argued to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit on Friday that its alleged inability to access nonclassified documents seized in the raid in early August was hampering its investigation into whether Trump improperly moved classified information out of the White House during his presidency. Appeals Court Allows DOJ to Continue Investigation Into Documents Seized at Mar-a-Lago

A federal appeals panel overruled a decision that was temporarily blocking the investigation from the Department of Justice into documents seized at Mar-a-Lago.

The three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit issued the ruling Wednesday evening.

Previously, a judge sided with attorneys representing former President Donald Trump and appointed a special master to independently review the documents seized and temporarily blocked the DOJ investigation. Liberals and other critics of the former president accused the Trump-appointed judge of being biased in her ruling.

The panel said in their 29-page ruling that Trump “has not even attempted to show that he has a need to know the information contained in the classified documents. Nor has he established that the current administration has waived that requirement for these documents.”

The Justice Department had argued that a special master was unnecessary because Trump could not declassify documents as a former president. (Read more from “Appeals Court Allows DOJ to Continue Investigation Into Documents Seized at Mar-a-Lago” HERE)

Special Master Deals Major Blow to Trump in Raid Case

Former President Donald Trump has been dealt a major blow by the special master in the Mar-a-Lago raid case.

Judge Raymond Dearie, who was picked by Judge Aileen Cannon to be the special master last week, told the former president he must provide evidence of declassification or else he will have to assume the records seized by the FBI are indeed classified.

Trump’s lawyers told the special master they are hesitant to make public the specifics on what Trump may have declassified because that topic might end up being one of their legal defense strategies against a possible future indictment brought by the Justice Department.

“How am I going to verify the classification? … What business is it of the court?” Dearie asked during the Tuesday hearing. The Eastern District of New York judge suggested that the DOJ had given “prima facie evidence” that the records were classified and said that “as far as I’m concerned, that’s the end of it.” He went on to press Trump’s lawyers on why that shouldn’t be the end of it.
