Mother of Slain Marine: Biden Voters ‘Killed My Son’ (VIDEO)

By Daily Caller. The mother of slain U.S. Marine Rylee McCollum spoke out in a radio interview Saturday.

“Every Democrat who is listening, you did this to my son,” the marine’s mother, Kathy McCollum, said.

“My son did die in vain. This was an unnecessary debacle. It could have been handled properly. They had months and months to remove everyone from Afghanistan and they chose not to. And so they sent in freaking what? 6,000 troops? And my son, through the laws of statistics, my son was one of the ones that just got blown up in a freaking terrorist bomb yesterday,” McCollum said.

“I never thought in a million years that he would die for nothing. For nothing. Because a feckless dementia-ridden piece of crap wanted a photo-op on Sept. 11, that’s what kills me,” McCollum said.

“Dementia-ridden piece of crap needs to be removed from office, it never would have happened under Trump,” McCollum also said. (Read more from “Mother of Slain Marine: ‘all You Democrats … Who Voted for [Biden], You Just Killed My Son'” HERE)

One Marine Dead, 8 Missing After Training ‘Mishap’

One U.S. Marine has died, another is in critical condition and a rescue operation is underway for eight more service members after a training exercise “mishap” with an amphibious assault vehicle off the coast of Southern California on Thursday.

The deceased Marine, whose name is being withheld for 24 hours so that the family can be informed, was pronounced dead at a hospital in San Diego on Thursday, according to a press release early Friday by the I Marine Expeditionary Force.

The Marine in critical condition and another injured Marine in stable condition were taken to hospitals for treatment. The missing included 7 Marines and one sailor, officials said. . .

Fifteen Marines and one sailor were inside the vehicle for the training exercise near San Clemente Island on Thursday, when they reported taking on water at about 5:45 p.m., the release said. . .

Two amphibious assault vehicles and a safety boat were nearby, he said. All the Marines had floatation devices and some of those rescued were found bobbing with the gear successfully deployed, Osterman said. (Read more from “One Marine Dead, 8 Missing After Training ‘Mishap'” HERE)

Search Called off for Missing Marines

By Stars and Stripes. The Marine Corps has ended an extensive search for five Marines missing after their KC-130J Hercules collided with an F/A-18 Hornet last week off Japan’s southern coast.

“After an update from the Joint Personnel Recovery Center, and a review of all available information, I have made the determination to end the search and rescue operations for the crew of our [Hercules] … and to declare that these Marine warriors are deceased,” III Expeditionary Force commander Lt. Gen. Eric Smith said in a statement posted Tuesday afternoon to the organization’s official Facebook page.

“Every possible effort was made to recover our crew and I hope the families of these selfless Americans will find comfort in the incredible efforts made by US, Japanese, and Australian forces during the search,” he added.

Seven Marines were involved in the training accident, which occurred just before 2 a.m. Thursday about 200 miles south of Muroto Cape on Shikoku Island, U.S. and Japanese officials said. (Read more from “Search Called off for Missing Marines” HERE)

U.S. Marines Declare 5 Service Members Dead, Ending Search After ‘Aviation Mishap’

By NPR. Five days after a pair of U.S. military aircraft crashed off the coast of Japan, the Marine Corps has called off its search-and-rescue efforts for five of the crew members involved. The III Marine Expeditionary Force declared the service members dead in an announcement released on Tuesday local time. . .

The announcement marks a tragic conclusion to a search operation that began Thursday, after what the Marines have described as an “aviation mishap” during a routine overnight training exercise, between an F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet and a KC-130 Hercules refueling aircraft.

The Corps said it has opened an investigation into the cause of the accident.

A total of seven Marines were aboard the two aircraft at the time of the crash. The two F/A-18 Hornet crew members were found in the hours immediately afterward, during the joint search efforts of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, the Japan Coast Guard and the U.S. 7th Fleet. But only one ultimately survived.

The other, identified as Capt. Jahmar F. Resilard, a 28-year-old F/A-18 pilot with Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 242, was declared dead soon after he was recovered from the water.

Rescue Mission in Japan After Two US Marine Aircraft Collide

By BBC News. A big search and rescue operation is continuing in Japan for five missing US Marines after two aircraft with seven crew collided and crashed into the sea.

One Marine was rescued and was “in fair condition”, while another one “has been declared deceased”, Marines officials said in a statement.

The planes involved were a KC-130 and an F/A-18 based at Iwakuni near Hiroshima, south-western Japan.

US media say they crashed during a mid-air refuelling exercise.

The Marine Corps has not officially confirmed this, describing the incident as a “mishap”. (Read more from “Rescue Mission in Japan After Two Us Marine Aircraft Collide” HERE)

Top Marine General Announces Prediction to Troops: ‘There’s a War Coming’

Concerns about rising global tensions were not eased when recent remarks by the commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps became public this week.

As The Hill reported, Gen. Robert Neller was in Norway addressing Marines stationed there when he delivered a grim forecast of the international climate.

“I hope I’m wrong, but there’s a war coming,” he said.

Neller was stressing the geopolitical importance of a presence in Norway during his visit, according to Military.com.

He indirectly pointed to Russia, among other global actors, as possible threats in the near future. That would possibly put any battalion stationed in Norway, a recently introduced rotation for the Marines, in position to respond to the “big-a– fight” Neller believes is coming.

While he also mentioned the Pacific theater as a likely global hot spot, much of his rhetoric seemed to reference Russia.

That narrative was continued by Marine Corps Sergeant Major Ronald Green, who said the situation on the ground for those stationed in Norway could change without notice.

“Just remember why you’re here,” he said. “They’re watching. Just like you watch them, they watch you.”

The small Marine footprint in the nation could easily increase should circumstances warrant it, Green said.

“We could go from 300 to 3,000 overnight,” he said. “We could raise the bar.”

Video footage shows the training exercises Marines in the battalion are using to remain ready.

The notable avoidance of directly referencing Russia continues a trend Military.com first identified in previous conversations with the Marines in the Norway rotation. They reported being instructed not to mention Russia by name in any public statements.

In addition to permitting the Marine Corps unit to be stationed in the country, the Norwegian government also has deep economic ties to neighboring Russia. Some officials in Norway have expressed concern about the scope of the American mission in their country, though the arrangement has generally been met with approval.

As for Russian officials, there has been overwhelming rejection of U.S. presence on the Norwegian side of the border.

“They don’t like the fact that we oppose them, and we like the fact that they don’t like the fact that we oppose them,” Green said, again avoiding use of the word “Russia.”

He went on to say that, despite the size of the force on the ground in Norway, he likes their odds.

“Three hundred of us, surrounded by them, we’ve got them right where we wanted, right?” he said. “We’ve done this before.” (For more from the author of “Top Marine General Announces Prediction to Troops: ‘There’s a War Coming'” please click HERE)

Where Have All the Combat Vets Gone?

The Marine Corps is facing a troubling drain of combat experience as thousands of battle-hardened Marines have left the Corps during the past several years.

The number of Marines on active-duty who have been awarded Combat Action Ribbons has dropped by more than half over the past five years — from a high of more than 40,000 at the time of the surge in Afghanistan in 2011 to fewer than 17,500 in 2016 — according to data obtained by Marine Corps Times through a Freedom of Information Act request.

In today’s Corps, fewer than one in five Marines has a single deployment under their belt and the number of Marines who have deployed twice is now less than one in 10, according to Marine Corps officials.

The shift reflects in part the Corps’ natural turnover and the reduction in combat deployments around the world. Since the U.S. drew down its troop presence in Iraq in 2011 and Afghanistan in 2014, Marines have had fewer opportunities for combat. (Read more from “Where Have All the Combat Vets Gone?” HERE)

Trump Treats Marine Guards With Respect and Courtesy in Clear Contrast to Obama

President Donald J. Trump saw the hat of one of the US Marine Guards blow off his head, due to heavy winds; he chased the hat, bent down, picked the hat off the ground, then put it back on the Marine Guard’s head. Every American should watch this video of a caring US President’s respect and courtesy toward a US Marine. Amazing!

There is a stark difference in how President Trump treats US Marine Guards, who he always returns hand salutes to, and how Obama treated a US Marine Guard when he occupied the Oval Office.

The press never recorded any other US President who did what Obama did with a US Marine Guard; the press actually recorded Obama having a US Marine Guard cover hold an umbrella over him, to protect him from the rain, while the US Marine Guard holding the umbrella , who was not under the umbrella, had his “hat” and uniform get drenched. Revealing!
