Scary NASA Study Reveals How Major Coastal Cities Are Rapidly Sinking Into the Sea

. . .An alarming new study by NASA has found that parts of California, including San Francisco and Los Angeles, are sinking into the ocean at a shocking rate, exacerbating the effects of sea level rise.

A study detailing this literal downward trend was published earlier this year in the journal Science Advances.

“In many parts of the world, like the reclaimed ground beneath San Francisco, the land is moving down faster than the sea itself is going up,” the study’s head author Marin Govorcin, who specializes in remote sensing at NASA’s Propulsion Laboratory, warned in a statement.

Accounting for this descent, sea levels — which are on the rise due to climate change — could creep up more than twice as much as previously forecast in Los Angeles and San Francisco in 25 years.

This could bode ominous for Golden State, which is the most populous in the US with nearly 40 million people — 68% of whom live on the coastline.

The study was devised to investigate which areas were most susceptible to ascending seas. (Read more from “Scary NASA Study Reveals How Major Coastal Cities Are Rapidly Sinking Into the Sea” HERE)

NASA Orders Employees to Throw Out Rainbow Flags and Any Other Items Signaling LGBTQI Support

. . .According to sources who spoke to former NASA researcher Keith Cowing, people working at the space agency — which previously celebrated its queer and trans employees — have been ordered to remove all symbols of LGBTQI pride from their physical and digital workspaces.

“Employees cannot have pride flags, lapel pins, badge lanyard[s], TEAMS backgrounds, clothing, laptop stickers… or anything related to pride in their offices,” Cowing wrote on his blog, NASA Watch.

“The penalty for violating this guidance can result in being put on administrative leave,” the ex-NASA-er wrote. “This applies to all employees — not just LBGTQ+ but also LBGTQ+ allies.”

Unlike the Trump administration’s other anti-woke orders — including the other recent one at NASA that requires all mentions of “women in leadership,” indigenous people, and environmental justice be removed from agency sites — this regressive decree was not made in writing.

Instead, as Cowing’s sources told him, the demand was made verbally from NASA’s advisory council, which informed management of the change and commanded they “inform/warn their staff” accordingly. Listen to the Eerie ‘Sound’ From a Black Hole, Captured by NASA (VIDEO)

NASA created a haunting audio clip of sound waves rippling out of a supermassive black hole, located 250 million light-years away.

The black hole is at the center of the Perseus cluster of galaxies, and the acoustic waves coming from it have been transposed up 57 and 58 octaves so they’re audible to human hearing.

The result (below), released by NASA in 2022, is a sort of unearthly (obviously) howling that, if we’re honest, sounds not only spooky, but a little bit angry. . .

In 2003, astronomers detected something truly astonishing: acoustic waves propagating through the copious amounts of gas surrounding the supermassive black hole at the centre of the Perseus galaxy cluster, which is now renowned for its eerie wails.

But this recent sonification has not only brought the recording up a whole lot of octaves, they’ve also added to the notes detected from the black hole, so we can get a sense of what they would sound like, ringing through intergalactic space.

NASA Astronaut Stuck in Space Reports ‘Strange Noises’ Coming From Troubled Boeing Capsule

A NASA astronaut at the International Space Station (ISS) on Saturday reported hearing a “strange noise” coming from the Boeing Starliner spacecraft just days before it is set to leave the station and return to Earth on autopilot.

The astronaut, Butch Wilmore, radioed Mission Control at Johnson Space Center in Houston to inquire about the noise.

On an audio recording of the exchange, Wilmore holds up a phone to the speakers so that Mission Control can hear the noise he is referring to.

A pulsating sound emanating at steady intervals can be heard through Wilmore’s device.

“Butch, that one came through,” Mission Control says after not hearing it the first time. “It was kind of like a pulsating noise, almost like a sonar ping.” (Read more from “NASA Astronaut Stuck in Space Reports ‘Strange Noises’ Coming From Troubled Boeing Capsule” HERE)

NASA Astronaut Makes Stunning Claim That ‘Jesus Was With Me’ During Space Trip

NASA astronaut Michael Hopkins who has racked up a stunning 168 days in space over 15 years as an astronaut – and he has thanked Jesus for the impressive feat.

He explained how it was during space missions that he felt God was most present in his life, and he described one particular occasion where he could feel his presence most.

He said: “Quite literally sitting in my heart, in the pocket of my spacesuit was the spirit, the body of our lord Jesus Christ.

“You can’t imagine the comfort it gave me knowing no matter what happened over the next nine minutes when that rocket hurled me into space, accelerating me to 17,000 mph, no matter what happened, Jesus Christ was with me.”

He previously talked about how the love and support shown by his wife Julie and their two Lucas and Ryan brought him ‘reassurance’ but it was the presence of God that made him overcome his nerves during the mission. Scientists Make Unprecedented Discovery on Mars by Accident

NASA scientists expressed that they were “stunned” after their Mars Curiosity rover cracked open a rock that was found to contain pure sulfur crystals, a NASA press release read Thursday.

The Curiosity rover’s social media account tweeted that the “pure sulfur … doesn’t smell” and the discovery of elemental sulfur “is something we’ve never seen before on Mars.”

“We don’t know much about these yellow crystals yet, but my team is excited to investigate,” the rover tweeted.

NASA scientists are still unsure “what relationship, if any, the elemental sulfur has to other sulfur-based minerals in the area” the rock was found in, according to the press release. NASA added that all previous discoveries were that of “sulfur-based minerals — in other words, a mix of sulfur and other materials.”

The rover — following its unprecedented discovery — has found “an entire field of bright rocks that look similar to the one the rover crushed,” the press release revealed. (Read more from “Scientists Make Unprecedented Discovery on Mars by Accident” HERE)

Space Laser Transmission Strikes Earth From 140 Million Miles Away: NASA

. . .Earth just received a laser transmission from a world- (and perhaps universe-) record-breaking 140 million miles away — which could have major implications for the future of space travel.

However, this correspondence wasn’t extraterrestrial in origin: It was actually sent by NASA’s Psyche spacecraft, which is currently located approximately 1.5 times the distance between Earth and the sun.

“This represents a significant milestone for the project by showing how optical communications can interface with a spacecraft’s radio frequency comms system,” Meera Srinivasan, the project’s operations lead at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, said in a statement.

This major breakthrough was achieved by using a Psyche feature called Deep Space Optical Communications, or DSOC, one of the droid’s several tasks per Space.com. Its main directive is exploring 16 Psyche, the asteroid from which it takes its name.

NASA wanted to show the potential for laser communications to be conducted across interstellar distances, allowing for high bandwidth and a much speedier connection — from 10 to 100 times faster than what’s available today — between humans and the probes they send into space. ‘Martians Wanted:’ NASA Looking For Crew to Spend One Year Locked in Mars Simulator

Anyone can move to another city, but who else can say they’ve lived on Mars?

NASA is looking for four lucky people to spend a year living in a simulated version of the Red Planet, enduring its harsh conditions and limited resources as part of a research project.

The crew would be the second of three planned ground-based missions inside the 1,700-square-foot Mars simulation called CHAPEA [Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog], following the inaugural team who are halfway through the first journey.

The 3-D printed planet — called Mars Dune Alpha — is located at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, but is designed to feel worlds away, NASA said in its open call titled “Martians wanted.”

The crew will be locked inside the habitat for roughly 365 days and expected to carry out “mission activities,” like collecting geological samples, exercising, and practicing personal hygiene and health care. NASA Says It Has Debunked Famous UFO Video but Scientists Are Skeptical

NASA claims it has debunked a famous alleged UFO sighting, known as the “GoFast” video, but some scientists are not buying the space agency’s rationale.

In a report issued Thursday, a UFO video recorded by Navy pilots “gives an impression of an object skimming above the ocean at a great velocity,” but NASA says data “reveals a less extraordinary interpretation.”

“This indicates that the object is colder than the ocean. There is thus no evidence of heat produced by a propulsion system. This further supports the conjecture that the object is most likely drifting with the wind,” NASA said in its report.

The findings do note that calculations by the space agency “neglected wind effects on the aircraft” and that because of that “there is uncertainty in this result.” They conclude, however, that the object’s movement is based on the wind but did say the “availability of additional data would enable a more firm conclusion about the nature of this object.”

French UFO researcher Christophe Spitzer Isbert told the Daily Mail that NASA should have been more detailed in its research before reaching a conclusion on the “GoFast” video. (Read more from “NASA Says It Has Debunked Famous UFO Video but Scientists Are Skeptical” HERE)

Bible Exhibit Challenges Belief That Faith and Science Have Nothing to Do With Each Other

In these times of advanced technology, AI and scientific discovery, many people feel their faith is not compatible with science.

A recent Pew survey even found that six in 10 adults believe science and faith have nothing to say to each other.

But a new exhibit at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., directly challenges that idea.

NASA astronaut Col. Jeff Williams, who has spent more time in space than almost any other U.S. astronaut, is one of the voices endorsing the “Scripture and Science” exhibit. . .

History proves that a belief in a God of order and law was the compelling reason behind so much scientific discovery, particularly in the last 2,000 years. (Read more from “Bible Exhibit Challenges Belief That Faith and Science Have Nothing to Do With Each Other” HERE)
