CNN Deletes Post Portraying Alleged Terrorists In New York As Simply Innocent Teens Enjoying Nice Weather

CNN deleted a post Tuesday that portrayed two individuals with suspected ties to ISIS as two teenagers trying to enjoy the nice weather in New York City.

CNN wrote on X that 18-year-old Emir Balat and 19-year-old Ibrahim Kayumi’s lives changed “drastically” on Saturday when they threw improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at demonstrators outside Gracie Mansion, the home of Democratic New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said on Monday that the incident was being investigated as “an act of ISIS-inspired terrorism.”

“Two Pennsylvania teenagers crossed into New York City Saturday morning for what could’ve been a normal day enjoying the city during abnormally warm weather,” CNN wrote in the now-deleted post. “But in less than an hour, their lives would drastically change as the pair would be arrested for throwing homemade bombs during an anti-Muslim protest outside of Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s home.”

The outlet then deleted the post, stating that it “failed to reflect the gravity of the incident” and violated editorial standards.

“A post regarding the two individuals arrested for throwing homemade bombs outside of New York City Mayor Zohran Mandarin’s home failed to reflect the gravity of the incident thereby breaching the editorial standards we require for all our reporting. Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani Sworn In on Quran as NYC’s 112th Mayor

. . .A triumphant Zohran Mamdani took the oath of office to become the Big Apple’s mayor just moments into the New Year — kicking off an uncharted era with a proud socialist at the helm of the nation’s largest city.

The 34-year-old Queens state assemblyman was sworn in on a Quran as the city’s 112th mayor — and its second-youngest — by state Attorney General Letitia James on Thursday morning below City Hall Park in a grand, abandoned old subway stop with his wife, artist Rama Duwaji, by his side.

“This is truly the honor and the privilege of a lifetime,” Mamdani said after swearing to faithfully discharge his duties as mayor and paying the $9 filing fee in cash.

Mamdani also wished New Yorkers “both inside this tunnel and above” a happy New Year.

Cluster of Potentially Fatal Disease Cases Found in Major City Has Health Officials on Alert

The city health department has launched an investigation after a cluster of Legionnaire’s disease cases were identified in Harlem over the weekend — with officials urging New Yorkers to take precautions.

Five cases of the potentially fatal pneumonia-like illness were diagnosed in the Manhattan neighborhood in recent days, although no deaths have been reported, the department said.

“Any New Yorkers with flu-like symptoms should contact a health care provider as soon as possible,” Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Toni Eyssallenne said in a statement.

“Legionnaire’s disease can be effectively treated if diagnosed early,” Eyssallenne said. “But New Yorkers at higher risk, like adults aged 50 and older, those who smoke or have chronic lung conditions should be especially mindful of their symptoms and seek care as soon as symptoms begin.”

FBI Busts Man with Seven Homemade Bombs Allegedly Intended for Major U.S. City

A New York man is facing federal charges after allegedly building and stashing homemade bombs across Manhattan, including on active subway tracks and residential rooftops.

Michael Gann, 55, of Inwood, was charged Tuesday with manufacturing at least seven improvised explosive devices (IEDs) using chemicals he bought online, according to U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Jay Clayton.

“The safety of New Yorkers is paramount,” said Clayton.

“As alleged, Michael Gann built explosive devices, stored them on a rooftop in SoHo, and threw one onto the subway tracks—putting countless lives at risk. Thanks to swift work by our law enforcement partners, no one was harmed. That vigilance assuredly prevented a tragedy in New York,” Clayton said in a statement.

REPORT: NYC’s Communist Mayoral Candidate Applied to Columbia as a Black Man

It would be even more shocking if Zohran Mamdani weren’t abjectly insane. The hard left Democratic New York City mayoral candidate has an agenda that will essentially destroy the city, with actions to defund the police and install government-run grocery stores, to name a couple. He’s not a fan of Israel and is pretty much every horror you think of regarding the American Left. So, in keeping with that trend, are you shocked he tried to claim he was black when applying to Columbia University, because he did. Oh, I forgot—he also said he was Asian. Mamdani did not deny he did these things, and his explanation made for a good laugh (via NYT):

As he runs for mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani has made his identity as a Muslim immigrant of South Asian descent a key part of his appeal.

But as a high school senior in 2009, Mr. Mamdani, the Democratic nominee, claimed another label when he applied to Columbia University. Asked to identify his race, he checked a box that he was “Asian” but also “Black or African American,” according to internal data derived from a hack of Columbia University that was shared with The New York Times.

Columbia, like many elite universities, used a race-conscious affirmative action admissions program at the time. Reporting that his race was Black or African American in addition to Asian could have given an advantage to Mr. Mamdani, who was born in Uganda and spent his earliest years there.

Socialist Mamdani Wants to Spend Million$ On Sex Changes for Minors

Socialist New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani wants to spend $65 million on sex change drugs and surgeries for minors and adults if elected.

Mamdani’s campaign website says his administration would “protect gender-affirming care immediately by investing $65 million in public providers to provide gender-affirming care to New Yorkers who seek it and will hold private entities abetting Trump’s attacks to account.”

Gender-affirming care is a euphemism used by transgender activists to hide the grotesque nature of sex change surgeries and drugs, which includes double mastectomies (the removal of healthy breasts), female and male genital mutilation and removal, facial feminization and masculinization, hormone treatments, and puberty blockers that can cause chemical sterilization.

“The Mamdani Administration will budget $65 million in funding to explicitly support and expand access to Gender Affirming Care (GAC) in NYC. It will direct $57 million to public hospitals, community clinics, federally qualified health centers, and nonprofits providing GAC,” the page reads. “In the face of the Trump administration’s proposed elimination of federal support for GAC and his threats to care for adults, this infusion will protect GAC access or both transgender youth and adults.”

Pro-Life Activist Left Covered in Blood After Being Sucker-Punched During NYC Street Interview on Abortion

A pro-life activist in New York City was sucker-punched in the face while doing a street interview about abortion, leaving her bloodied and requiring stitches, viral video shows.

Savannah Craven Antao, a 23-year-old reporter for advocacy group Live Action, was conducting a man-on-the-street interview in Harlem on Thursday, discussing the topic of Planned Parenthood with an unidentified pro-abortion New Yorker.

“You don’t understand the magnitude of having a child,” the woman emphatically stated a few minutes into the discussion, video shows.

“I’m not the one who admitted they would be OK with killing babies in foster care and killing children that have been abused,” Craven Antao fired back, referencing claims made by the woman earlier in the conversation.

Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services Allegedly Caught Handing Out Tax Filing Instructions to Illegal Aliens

With Tax Day a little more than two weeks away, Jackson-Hewitt Tax Services has been caught handing out flyers in New York City allegedly advising illegal migrants on how to get up to $14,000 in tax refunds from the IRS.

According to independent journalist Savanah Hernandez, the company’s representatives are handing out information outside the Roosevelt Hotel migrant shelter with tax filing tips showing illegal aliens how they can get thousands of dollars from the IRS based on how many children they claim to have.

Hernandez presented a flyer that seems to inform the migrants that they can get a $7,650 refund if they claim one child, $12,635 if they have two, and $14,255 for three children.

After Hernandez posted this video to X, Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) chief Elon Musk noted that this sort of fraud is costing America billions and serving to attract illegals to this country.

“IRS refund fraud payments are one of several means used by the Democratic Party to attract and retain illegal immigrants in the USA. That’s why they are so opposed to @DOGE stopping this!” Musk wrote.

Man in Critical Condition After Being Shoved Onto Subway Tracks, Struck by Train

A man in New York City is in critical condition after someone shoved him onto the subway tracks, where he was struck by an incoming train.

Police called the incident a random attack at the 18th Street station around 1:30 p.m. eastern on Tuesday when a masked and hooded assailant pushed the unsuspecting 45-year-old man onto the tracks just as an incoming train bulleted through the station. Two bystanders were seen fearfully jumping the turnstile to flee the scene.

According to the New York Post, the victim was immediately rushed to a local hospital, where he was in critical condition but rendered stable. Police said that no evidence suggests the attacker knew the victim or had any personal animus.

Dramatic video footage from the scene shows firefighters working to pull the injured man from between subway cars as bystanders gawk at the scene on the station platform.

The suspect, described as a man with a light complexion wearing a mask, a black jacket over a dark hooded sweatshirt and gray jeans, fled the station in an unknown direction and is still on the loose.

The incident is the latest in a series of transit attacks in the Big Apple, including two slashings on Sunday and the horrific Dec. 22 torching death of a sleeping straphanger on an F train in Brooklyn.

Prosecutor Resigns After Getting Caught Trying to Meet With 13-Year-Old Boy

A New York City prosecutor suddenly resigned after he was caught allegedly trying to meet up with a 13-year-old boy that he met online.

William C.C. Kemp-Neal quit his job as a prosecutor at the Bronx District Attorney’s office after a group called “Dads Against Predators” filmed Kemp-Neal in the parking lot of a Target attempting to coerce the young male.

Ironically, he made $84,990 annually as an ADA handling child-endangered cases, as well as harassment.

On July 8, the group confronted the 30-year-old prosecutor in a Target parking lot o East Sanford Boulevard in Mount Vernon. The video shows the group asking Kemp-Neal if he is “Marcus,” prompting him to flee. The men pursued him, shouting, “Excuse me everybody, this man right here came to meet a 13-year-old boy.” At one point, a bystander, intervened and restrained Kemp-Neal in a chokehold. In a clip, Kemp-Neal is seen struggling to breathe and attempting to break free. Via Times Now.
