Girl Snatched From Campground Rescued Hours After Predator Slipped Note Into Family Mailbox

Missing 9-year-old Charlotte Sena has been found after disappearing from Moreau Lake State Park in New York on Saturday, authorities say.

New York State Police announced that a suspect has been taken into custody over the incident on Monday night. Sena is currently safe and healthy, and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

At around 4:20 a.m., state police saw a man drop something in the Sena family mailbox, according to Gov. Kathy Hochul. It was a ransom note. . .

State and federal tactical teams then stormed a camper behind his mother’s double-wide trailer in Milton, just outside Saratoga Springs.

“Within the camper they located the suspect,”: Hochul said during a Friday evening news briefing in Latham. “After some resistance, the suspect was taken into custody, and immediately the little girl was found in a cabinet, covered. She was rescued.” (Read more from “Girl Snatched From Campground Rescued Hours After Predator Slipped Note Into Family Mailbox” HERE)

Donald Trump Called On ‘Democrat Operative’ Judge in New York Fraud Case to Be ‘Disbarred’

Former President Donald Trump said New York Judge Arthur Engoron, the presiding judge over New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil fraud case against the former president, is a “democrat operative” and called on him to be “disbarred.”

Monday marked the first day of James’ civil fraud trial against Trump, a case expected to last three months.

Trump appeared in court for the first day of his trial and blasted Judge Engoron, James, and the entire process at various points throughout the day, including before the trial started, during the lunch break, and at the end of the day’s proceedings.

Trump argued Engoron should be “disbarred” for his actions in this case.

“This is a judge that should be disbarred. This is a judge that should be out of office,” Trump said. “This is a judge that some people say could be charged criminally for what he’s doing. He’s interfering with an election, and it’s a disgrace.”

Judge Smiles for Camera at Trump Trial After Former President Lashes Out

The judge presiding over Donald Trump‘s civil fraud trial in New York City got blasted by the former president’s allies for flashing a smile in front of a camera before the proceeding got underway on Monday.

News networks aired scenes from the courtroom showing Trump sitting with his lawyers and, a few rows behind them, New York Attorney General Letitia James, who brought the $250 million lawsuit over allegations of business fraud against Trump, members of his family, and the Trump Organization.

When the camera panned to the front of the room, Judge Arthur Engoron appeared to take notice. He smiled, took off his glasses, and smiled again. Upon looking to the side, the judge shrugged before he returned his gaze to the camera and smiled once more. Trump previously spoke out against the charges ahead of his court appearance, slamming Engoron as a “rogue judge.”

The smile enraged Trump’s defenders and others who expressed their dismay on social media in reaction to clips of the video.

Trump Praises Statement From Judge Concerning Statute of Limitations

Former President Donald Trump left the New York courtroom at the end of Monday’s proceedings praising Judge Arthur Engoron for what he called an “outstanding” last five minutes that, according to Trump, fell in his favor.

“That last five minutes was outstanding because the judge essentially conceded that they statute of limitations that we won at the court of appeals is in effect. Therefore, about 80% of the case is over,” Trump told reporters after exiting the court.

He said it was “unfair” there wasn’t a jury to decide the case, but continued praising the judge’s statement he referenced.

“The way I interpret that, and the way the room seems to interpret that is that the statute of limitations is a very real thing in this country. And about 80% of this case would be over,” he said. (Read more from “Trump Praises Statement From Judge Concerning Statute of Limitations” HERE)

Democrat Governor Says Border ‘Is Too Open’ and Demands ‘Limit’ on Crossings as NY Struggles With Migrant Crisis

The migrant crisis in New York is so bad that even Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul is ramping up her attacks on US border policies, demanding “a limit on who can come across’’ and more agents to nab illegals.

Hochul targeted Congress in comments Sunday but still risked the wrath of the Biden administration as it grapples with the crisis wreaking mayhem in the Big Apple and across the country.

“It is too open right now,’’ Hochul flatly told CBS’s “Face the Nation’’ of the country’s southern border with Mexico — where a record-setting 260,000-plus migrants crossed over just last month.

“We want [Congress] to have a limit on who can come across the border,’’ said the governor, who has been criticized in the past for going too easy on the White House over the debacle.

“People coming from all over the world are finding their way through, simply saying they need asylum, and the majority of them seem to be ending up in the streets of New York, and that is a real problem for New York City,” she said. Wild Videos Show Flooded Airport Terminal, Travelers Attempting to Flee Ankle-Deep Waters

Travelers trying to flee New York on budget airlines out of LaGuardia Airport were faced with ankle-deep water Friday morning amid widespread flooding.

The airport was forced to close its Terminal A — from where flights on Spirit and Frontier airlines depart — as the floodwaters barreled through the building.

Photos and videos posted online showed the terminal covered in water as frantic passengers tried to flee.

One woman even shared footage from inside one of the terminals, showing her TikTok followers the water creeping up over her boots and seeping through the building’s revolving doors.

New York Judge’s Anti-Trump Fraud Ruling “Delusional”

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron delivered a bombshell ruling [this week] that the former president committed fraud by inflating the value of his wealth, with details including the monetary value associated with Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach. . .

However, the ruling raised eyebrows when Engoron, a Democrat who ran unopposed in the general election on Nov. 3, 2015, evaluated the worth of Trump’s prized Mar-a-Lago Club resort at $18 million, ruling that the property was inflated by 2,500%. . .

One prominent Palm Beach real estate broker, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told The Post, “It’s utterly delusional to think that property is only worth $18 million . . . If that property were on the market today, I would list it at around $300 million, minimum, at least. He also has the separate golf course minutes away” . . .

To put it in perspective, a 2-acre wooded lot at 1980 S. Ocean Blvd., just 5 minutes from Mar-a-Lago, is currently listed for $150 million. Mar-a-Lago, situated at 1100 S. Ocean Blvd., dwarfs this lot tenfold and operates as a commercial business with around 500 members as part of the golf club.

Also nearby: a 2.3-acre plot of land at 1063/1071 N. Ocean Blvd., on the market for a sky-high $200 million. Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate boasts 20 acres. (Read more from “New York Judge’s Anti-Trump Fraud Ruling “Delusional”” HERE)

Lawsuit: Democrats’ No-Excuse Absentee Voting Law Violates New York Constitution

New York’s new no-excuse absentee voting law violates its state constitution, a new lawsuit filed by a coalition of Republican groups and politicians alleges.

Filed on Wednesday by the Republican National Committee and other Republican-affiliated groups, the suit contends that a law signed by Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul “allow[ing] any registered voter in the state to cast an early ballot by mail” breaches the New York Constitution. Under New York’s top legal document, absentee voting is strictly reserved for qualified voters who may be “absent from the county of their residence” or “unable to appear personally at the polling place because of illness or physical disability.”

The RNC alleges that New York’s new voting law ignores this provision by permitting “qualified voters to vote by mail rather than in person, even if they do not satisfy either of the two limited exceptions set forth” in the state constitution.

“The Mail-Voting Law was enacted by the Legislature in open and knowing defiance of Article II, § 2, ignoring and subverting the will of the People whom the Legislature is supposed to represent,” the lawsuit reads. The suit’s plaintiffs — who were brought together with the assistance of Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections (RITE) — include Republican Reps. Elise Stefanik and Claudia Tenney, among others. Air Quality in NYC Worst Since 1980s — Worse Than After 9/11: Forecaster

New York City’s air quality was the worst since at least the 1980s Wednesday afternoon, as thick wildfire smoke blowing down from Canada dimmed the city into an orange haze.

“It looks like Mars out there,” said Fox Forecast Center meteorologist Brian Mastro just before 2 p.m.

The city’s air quality index had risen to 353 out of 500 by early afternoon, which is considered “very hazardous” and was the worst recorded since at least the ’80s, he explained.

Around 2:30 p.m., the air quality ranking site IQair.com ranked the city’s air quality index as 80% worse than the second-most polluted major world city, Delhi, India.

On a normal day in New York, the air index is about 100. (Read more from “Air Quality in NYC Worst Since 1980s — Worse Than After 9/11: Forecaster” HERE)
