It’s Over: Koch Network Pulls Plug on Bankrolling Nikki Haley’s Campaign

While Nikki Haley insists on slow-walking the eventual suspension of her presidential campaign, one of her most important backers has confirmed that they have reached the end of the line.

Americans for Prosperity (AFP), which is bankrolled by the multi-billion dollar Koch network, announced that it was pulling the plug on financial support for Haley on the grounds that it is no longer money being well spent.

In a memo sent by AFP Senior Advisor Emily Seidel, first obtained by Politico, the organization said it intended to “take stock” of where the presidential race was going. . .

However, Seidel confirmed that despite their continued support for Haley, the money taps would finally be turned off:

Nikki Haley has shown us again and again that we made the right decision in supporting her candidacy and she continues to have our strong endorsement. She has made it clear that she will continue to fight and we wholeheartedly support her in this effort. But given the challenges in the primary states ahead, we don’t believe any outside group can make a material difference to widen her path to victory.

And so while we will continue to endorse her, we will focus our resources where we can make the difference. And that’s the U.S. Senate and House. If Donald Trump is at the top of the Republican ticket, the risk of one-party rule by a Democratic Party captured by the Progressive Left is severe and would do irreparable damage to the country.

Pundit: Nikki Haley Is Getting Ready to Run as an Independent

Former Bush speechwriter Ari Fleischer said that Nikki Haley’s speech following a second-place finish in the South Carolina primary sounded like a “No Labels speech” to him.

ARI FLEISCHER: I’ve been around a lot of these candidate speeches, I’ve written a few. That was a “No Labels” speech tonight by Nikki Haley. That was a speech, when she says, “No matter what I am running.” When she trashes Joe Biden, trashes Donald Trump, she is setting herself up to run down the middle.

And look what happened in South Carolina tonight, she won according to the Fox voter analysis independent voters by 19 percentage points. That is only 7% of the people who voted in the primary which is why she got her clock cleaned in the primary by Donald Trump. But when you look at independent voters, she sees a huge group out there. And when you look at the country independent voters are 43% of the country, Republicans are 27%, Democrats are 27%.

So she is looking ahead and seeing a swath down the middle that does not like Biden, does not like Trump. I can just feel it, I watched it, my reaction was immediate, she is declaring. Why wouldn’t she drop out of the race? She sees herself on the runway to something new. When you see yourself on the runway, you don’t pull your plane off the runway, you get ready to take off.

Dem Governor Praises Nikki Haley for Helping Democrats Make the Case Against Trump

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has become one of the “better surrogates” for Democrats in 2024, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Friday.

Haley, who is Donald Trump’s last remaining GOP primary rival, has attacked the former president throughout the race, arguing that the 77-year-old is too old to serve another term White House and warning that his “chaos” will hurt Republican chances at the ballot boxes in November.

“I think she’s one of our better surrogates, so I hope she stays in [the GOP primary race],” Newsom, 56, told CNN host Jake Tapper, arguing that her criticisms of the former president are “spot on.”

“I hope she does well tomorrow — at least, well enough,” the Golden State governor added, referring to Saturday’s South Carolina GOP primary, where Haley – the state’s former governor – trails Trump by more than 23 points, according to a RealClearPolitics average of polls.

“I’m enjoying this primary. And I hope it continues, so I wish her luck,” Newsom added. (Read more from “Dem Governor Praises Nikki Haley for Helping Democrats Make the Case Against Trump” HERE)

Nikki Haley Fires Back At Trump Over His Comments About Her Husband

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley responded this week to former President Donald Trump’s continued attacks about the whereabouts of her husband, who is deployed overseas with the National Guard, saying that his remarks were “disgusting.”

Trump has made the attacks as he leads Haley by nearly 60 points in polling for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average.

Over the weekend, Trump brought up Haley’s husband during a rally, asking: “What happened to her husband? Where is he? He’s gone.” He reiterated the line of attack in a Monday social media post, saying her performance on the campaign trail was “an embarrassment to her wonderful husband” and suggesting “he should come back home to help save her dying campaign.”

Haley responded to the attacks during an interview with Dana Perino, saying: “It’s disgusting. I mean, every bit of it is disgusting.”

“You know, to sit there and mock my husband for not being with me on the presidential trail because he is deployed and serving our country. You mock one veteran, you’re mocking all veterans,” Haley said. “But this is a pattern, he’s done this over and over again. Whether he went and calls military members suckers. Whether he was at Arlington Cemetery saying what was in it for them, why would they do this?”

News Host Warns Nikki Haley of Potential Home State Defeat: ‘May Lose Badly’

In a candid on-air exchange, Fox News host John Roberts confronted former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley with the stark possibility of a significant defeat in her home state of South Carolina. Citing a recent CBS poll showing Haley is trailing former President Donald Trump by a substantial 35 points.

During the interview on “America Reports,” Roberts directly addressed Haley’s electoral prospects, emphasizing the challenge she faces just over a week ahead of the South Carolina primary. The RealClearPolling average from Jan. 23 to Feb. 10 indicates Trump leading Haley by a substantial 32.7% in the state. Notably, Haley encountered a setback in the Feb. 6 Nevada primary, securing only 30.4% of the vote and losing to “None of These Candidates.”

Roberts pointed out the potential political consequences, stating, “At the moment, it looks like you’re going to go into that contest and lose badly in your home state, which would forever be a cloud over your political career. Why go through with it?”

Haley, however, remained resolute in her response, challenging the accuracy of the polls and expressing confidence in her ability to close the gap. Referencing her performance in New Hampshire, where she garnered 43% of the vote, she dismissed concerns about the potential impact on her political career.

The South Carolina primary, scheduled for Feb. 24, will serve as a critical test for Haley’s presidential aspirations. The broader national picture also shows a considerable gap, with Haley trailing Trump by 56.2% in the Republican primary, according to the RealClearPolling average.

Nikki Haley: ‘I Am Going to Beat President Trump’ (VIDEO)

Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) said Monday on CNN’s “The Lead” that she will beat former President Donald Trump for the party nomination.

Anchor Jake Tapper said, “So obviously you’re running in South Carolina and you’ve told me that you plan to be around well obviously you want to be the nominee and then the president, but, but you’re going to be around at least until super Tuesday. If the unthinkable happens in your view and you do not win will it be difficult to Support Trump as the Republican Party’s nominee, given what you think about him quite obviously.”

Haley said, “Well, first, I think that you need to know that I am going to beat President Trump. But you should ask him if it’ll be difficult for him to support me?” (Read more from “Nikki Haley: ‘I Am Going to Beat President Trump’” HERE)

Nikki Haley Walks Back Claim That Texas Can Secede From U.S.

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley walked back comments she made last week when she suggested that the state of Texas could secede from the U.S. if it wanted to.

During an interview with The Breakfast Club on Wednesday, Haley said that “if Texas decides they want to do that, they can do that.”

“If that whole state says, ‘We don’t want to be part of America anymore,’ I mean, that’s their decision to make,” she continued, later adding: “Let’s talk about what’s reality. Texas isn’t going to secede.”

During a Sunday interview with Dana Bash on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Haley walked back those comments when asked if she really believed that “individual states have the right to leave the USA.”

“No one is talking about seceding. That’s not an issue at all,” she responded. “What we are talking about the fact is, here you have Governor Abbott and the people of Texas, who just want to be kept safe. They’re putting up barbed wire to keep people coming in. And the idea that the federal government is wanting to sue them and cut that barbed wire, when we’re trying to make sure that we keep people out, that’s a huge mistake.”

Nikki Haley, Trailing Far Behind Trump, Pledges Campaign Not Over: ‘I’m Not Going Anywhere’ (VIDEO)

Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley said in an interview this week that her presidential campaign was not over, despite trailing former President Donald Trump in the latest RealClearPolitics average by more than 50 points.

Haley made the remarks during a Thursday interview with Jake Tapper on CNN’s “The Lead” when asked about RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel suggesting that Haley needed to drop out of the race.

“I absolutely think it was inappropriate,” Haley said. “We have had two states that have voted. You need 1,215 delegates. Donald Trump has 32. I have 17. We still have 48 states and more territories to go before we get there.”

“I’m not going anywhere, Jake,” she continued. “I’m going to continue to go all the way through South Carolina. Then we’re going to go on to Super Tuesday, and we’re going to keep on going forward. This is about the fact that we can’t live in chaos anymore.”

Haley Felt ‘Stupid’ After Failing to Say Slavery Caused Civil War (VIDEO)

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley responded in the affirmative to radio host and author Charlamagne tha God when he asked if she felt “stupid” after she failed to identify slavery as a cause of the Civil War in December.

Haley, who is marching forward with her quixotic campaign against former President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination, appeared on the Breakfast Club radio show on Wednesday.

Charlamagne confronted Haley about her viral word salad response to a town hall attendee in New Hampshire in late December, where she said, “The cause of the Civil War was basically how the government was going to run.” . . .

“Did you feel stupid that night?” Charlamagne asked.

“Yeah, I mean, it was one of those things like, because it was so – like slavery’s a given – so I was mad that it was a given, but I was too busy judging his intentions than I was just answering the question,” she responded. Nikki Haley Dunked on After Trying to Use Donald Trump’s Speaking Style Against Him: ‘You’re Confused, Not Him’

Republican presidential primary candidate Nikki Haley on Friday attempted to advance her campaign’s narrative that former President Donald Trump is “confused,” sharing a statement he made in a video but misinterpreting what he actually said — at least, according to many social media users, who quickly dunked on her.

Trump released a video statement on E. Jean Carroll — a woman whom Democrat operatives, including Reid Hoffman, back — who has admitted to visiting convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s “Pedophile Island. Carroll has sued Trump for defamation after he vehemently denied her claims that he sexually assaulted her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the early 1990s. The accuser’s second defamation trial is underway as the jury determines the amount in damages to be paid. . .

Haley, however, tried to use the video to dunk on Trump, asserting that he was confused, as she apparently believes Trump got Carroll and Haley confused when he stated, “You have somebody running for office”:

Many social media users quickly pointed out that Haley got her interpretation wrong.
