Growing Pressure for Nikki Haley to Drop 2024 Run After NH Results

As former Gov. Nikki Haley placed second to former President Donald Trump in the New Hampshire GOP primary, calls for her to withdraw from the race have intensified. Republicans are urging Haley to step aside, arguing that it would allow the party to consolidate resources and focus on defeating President Joe Biden in the upcoming elections.

After Gov. Ron DeSantis exited the race and endorsed Trump, Haley’s path to the nomination seemed increasingly challenging. Trump’s decisive victory in New Hampshire and overwhelming leads in other states put additional pressure on Haley to reconsider her campaign.

House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY) took to social media, congratulating Trump on his New Hampshire win and urging Haley to drop out.

Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) declared Trump as the de facto GOP nominee, acknowledging his decisive win in New Hampshire. Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD) echoed the sentiment, congratulating Trump and highlighting the resonance of his message with voters.

CEO of the Federalist, Sean Davis, emphasized that if Haley’s primary goal is defeating Joe Biden, she should drop out and endorse Trump. He warned that persisting in a race she cannot win while attacking Trump would signal alignment with left-wing Democrats funding her campaign.

Social media influencer Ryan Fournier bluntly called for Haley to give up and drop out, stating that the race has been over from the start and emphasizing the need to acknowledge the prevailing circumstances.

Nate Cohn, the New York Times’ chief political analyst, pointed to polling data suggesting Haley’s inevitable resignation from the race. He noted that unless there is a monumental shift, Trump is poised to secure the nomination.

Trump Rips Haley for Bringing up His Age: ‘I’m a Lot Sharper Than Her’ (VIDEO)

Former President Donald Trump ripped his former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley on Monday after she has shifted to attacking his age ahead of this week’s presidential primary in New Hampshire.

Trump made the remarks to Fox News when asked what he thought about Haley bringing up his age in recent days after the former president appeared to mix up Haley and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at a rally.

“Well I think I’m a lot sharper than her,” he said.

Poll: Trump Leads Haley by 39 Points in South Carolina

Former President Donald Trump is leading former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley by double-digits, a poll conducted by Tony Fabrizio found.

The Trump pollster found Trump leading Haley in the Palmetto State with a majority backing him — 64 percent support in the state. Haley falls 39 points behind in her own state, garnering just 25 percent support. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis falls to the single digits with just eight percent support.

Further, the survey shows the strength of Trump’s base, as most of the former president’s supporters, 58 percent, said they will “definitely” vote for him, compared to 18 percent of Haley voters who said they would “definitely” vote for her.

Additionally, the survey showed that Trump would benefit more than Haley if DeSantis dropped out of the race, as more of the Florida governor’s supporters would flock to Trump. Head-to-head, Trump leads Haley by 40 points:

DeSantis, Haley Spent $72M Combined in Iowa to Place Second, Third

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis spent a combined $72 million in Iowa to place second and third in the Iowa Republican caucuses.

The massive amount of money spent on losing Iowa indicates how strong former President Donald Trump’s grassroots support is in the state.

By the numbers, Haley spent two million more than DeSantis — the most out of any candidate. Both amounted to more than half the total $123 million in ads between the Republican candidates since Monday.

Below are the campaigns and outside group ad spending for Republican primary candidates in Iowa since January 1, 2023, CNN reported:

Pro-Haley: $37 million
Pro-DeSantis: $35 million
Pro-Trump: $18.3 million
All others: $33.2 million

Nikki Haley Fails to Say a Man Cannot Become a Woman

Presidential hopeful Nikki Haley failed to definitively state during a tele-town hall with Iowa voters over the weekend that a man cannot become a woman.

Haley was originally supposed to hold an in-person town hall in Dubuque over the weekend, but that turned into a tele-town hall due to the extreme winter weather. During the event, she took a question from a man named John, who expressed that he was unhappy with the way former President Donald Trump answered that same question during a sit-down with Megyn Kelly.

“A lot of the stuff that Trump does, you know, and says, really bothers me, and I’m concerned about it,” the man told Haley. . .

“You know, one thing I saw him do was, he said that, uh, he had trouble answering the question, could a man become a woman? And I’m just wondering what, what your response to that question is?” he asked. . .

She began:

Now, can a man become a woman? There’s been a lot that’s been talked about when it comes to all of these roles and all of these issues. I strongly believe that we should not allow any gender change surgeries to anyone before the age of 18. Period. We– kids now can’t get a tattoo until they’re 18. We shouldn’t have them permanently change their body until they’re 18. And that includes puberty blockers, that includes any sort of hormones that would do that.

Nikki Haley Blames Mass Immigration on Climate Change

Republican presidential primary candidate Nikki Haley once seemingly parroted a talking point used by Democrats that suggests climate change is partially to blame for mass immigration to the United States and other countries.

In January 2017, Haley went before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to be confirmed as ambassador to the United Nations (UN) in then-President Donald Trump’s administration.

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR), in a written question, asked Haley about so-called “climate refugees,” as Democrats claim that mass immigration to the U.S. and other countries is partially due to global warming’s destroying crops, conditions, and communities in certain regions of the world. . .

Haley responded:

If confirmed I commit to engaging experts at the State Department and the U.N. on the issues of climate change and refugee resettlement. The U.N. plays a significant role in the management of refugees on a global basis. If confirmed, the role that climate change plays in refugee flows is an issue I look forward to assessing, and assisting refugees is a U.S. policy in which I look forward to engaging.

Christie’s Hot Mic Moment: DeSantis ‘Petrified’, Haley’s ‘Gonna Get Smoked’ (VIDEO)

In a revealing hot mic moment, former GOP presidential candidate Chris Christie was inadvertently caught expressing skepticism about the electoral prospects of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, both vying for the Republican nomination against former President Donald Trump.

Christie, who announced his withdrawal from the GOP primary on Wednesday evening, was overheard mocking DeSantis as “petrified” and suggesting that Haley is bound to “get smoked” in the race. The unguarded comments shed light on Christie’s assessment of the dynamics within the Republican primary and may have unintended consequences for the remaining candidates.

“We know we’re right, but they don’t want to hear it,” Christie remarked in a conversation with an individual identified as “Wayne.” Reflecting on his unsuccessful campaign, Christie emphasized the clarity and directness of his message, seemingly contrasting it with what he perceives as the shortcomings of DeSantis and Haley.

Christie pointed to campaign spending to underscore the comparative performance of the campaigns, noting that Haley had spent $68 million on TV advertising, DeSantis $59 million, and his own campaign $12 million. The former New Jersey governor questioned who was “punching above their weight” and achieving a better return on investment.

Expressing doubt about Haley’s chances, Christie asserted, “She’s gonna get smoked. And you and I both know, and she’s not up to this.” The conversation also touched upon Haley’s standing in New Hampshire, where she reportedly lags behind Trump by 20 points.

Christie’s remarks extended to DeSantis, as he revealed that the Florida governor had contacted him, seemingly concerned about Christie’s decision-making in the race. Despite the cordial exchange, Christie’s hot mic comments hinted at underlying doubts about DeSantis’ viability in the primary.

The candid moment also disclosed that Christie, a vocal critic of Trump during the primary, didn’t mince words when assessing Haley, branding her a “joke” who has performed poorly and is not up to the task.

Vivek Ramaswamy Tells Tucker ‘The System’ Wants Nikki Haley as President to Keep ‘War Machine Humming’

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy told Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson on Wednesday fellow candidate Nikki Haley is who the “bipartisan system” wants to keep the “war machine humming.”

Ramaswamy appeared on “Tucker Carlson Uncensored” to discuss his run for the upcoming 2024 GOP primary elections. Carlson had asked the GOP presidential candidate what he’s “noticed” regarding the “subtext” of the 2024 race.

Ramaswamy stated the “real puppet” is Haley, claiming the GOP was part of “paying to keep” former President Donald Trump “off of the ballot.”

“I think what’s become clear to me now — I’m in the thick of this GOP primary, is that the real puppet they’re trotting out isn’t Gavin Newsom. It isn’t Michelle Obama. I was wrong about that, actually,” Ramaswamy stated.

“They found a much more convenient puppet within the Republican Party itself. It’s not Gavin. It’s not Michelle. It’s Nikki, actually. And I think that if you just follow exactly who are the very people who are paying to keep Donald Trump off the ballot or funding the lawsuits that keep Trump off the ballot …” Ramaswamy said.

DeSantis, Ramaswamy Respond To Haley’s Remarks On Slavery And The Civil War

Two Republican presidential candidates criticized former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley on Thursday for remarks that she made this week about slavery and the Civil War.

Haley, who is also running for president, faced backlash Wednesday night after she answered a voter’s question on the cause of the Civil War without mentioning slavery.

“Well, don’t come with an easy question, right?” Haley said. “I think the cause of the Civil War was basically how government was going to run. The freedoms and what people could and couldn’t do.” . . .

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis responded to Haley’s “incomprehensible word salad” while on the campaign trail in Iowa, saying that it showed she “is not a candidate that’s ready for primetime.”

Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy responded to Haley’s remarks in a series of posts on X, writing: “The shocking part isn’t that Nikki failed to mention slavery. It’s that she failed to mention the 10th amendment. When you try to be everything to everyone, you’re nothing to anyone. A perfect puppet for the corrupt establishment.”

Nikki Haley Makes the Worst Possible Argument Against Trump

During a speech in South Carolina late last month, Haley trotted out a rather interesting line of attack against Trump: “And the truth of it all — and this is another hard truth — I believe President Trump was the right president at the right time. I was proud to serve America in his administration, and I agree with a lot of his policies. But the truth is, rightly or wrongly, chaos follows him. You know I’m right. Chaos follows him. We have too much division in this country and too many threats around the world to be sitting in chaos once again.”

These were not tossed-off remarks. Byron York, the only political reporter who seems to have grasped the significance of the remark, notes that Haley has been road-testing some variation of the “chaos” line since October, and it appears it’s a regular part of her stump speech. York has done a typically thorough and thoughtful analysis of this, including why Haley’s line might ruffle some feathers among Republicans.

Now, certainly, there are many Republicans out there who might be inclined to agree with a facile reading of this line. There’s hardly a Trump voter out there who hasn’t at least privately lamented Trump saying inflammatory things that detract from his actual policy accomplishments.

But ultimately, Haley’s line about “chaos” spectacularly misreads the problem and, along with it, the sentiment of a lot of Trump voters she needs to win over. When she says “the truth is, rightly or wrongly, chaos follows him,” the word “wrongly” in that sentence pretty much gives up the entire game. The biggest source of chaos in Trump’s presidency wasn’t mean tweets; it was the entire Washington establishment and administrative state breaking laws and violating norms both to impede his policies and attempt to throw him out of office. This was, indeed, very, very wrong and exposed a rot so deep that the number one requirement of any future Republican president is dismantling this corruption that threatens the foundations of the republic.

Let’s recap what the “chaos” in the Trump administration looked like, shall we? Starting before Trump was elected, the FBI was investigating and wiretapping the guy — an investigation that continued well after he was elected. The FBI’s “sources” for their investigation of Trump were treasonously colluding with Russia to steal an election. These included, among other standout individuals, a paid informant at the heart of multiple political scandals who had been apparently lying on his resume for decades and a report from… Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee.
