Grandparents With ‘Thin Blue Line’ Flag Targeted in Drive-By Shooting

Two Seattle homeowners with a “Thin Blue Line” flag outside their house were targeted in drive-by shooting on Friday, police confirmed to Fox News.

Surveillance footage obtained by KIRO-TV shows a vehicle firing nine shots at a home in North Seattle before speeding away.

The owners of the home are two grandparents who have reportedly lived in the neighborhood for more than 30 years. The couple told the station they believed they were targeted because of the flag, which is meant to convey support for law enforcement.

The man said “about twice a week” he argued with people who made “derogatory remarks” and told him to take down the flag. . .

“ACAB,” which stands for “All Cops Are Bastards” and “Black Lives Matter” have also been spray-painted outside their home, according to the station. (Read more from “Grandparents With ‘Thin Blue Line’ Flag Targeted in Drive-By Shooting” HERE)

Majority of Voters Want ‘Blue Lives Matter’ Laws Punishing Attacks on Police

A majority of likely U.S. voters believes the country is experiencing a war on police and that politicians should enact policy classifying attacks on cops as hate crimes, according to a new poll.

Released on Thursday, Rasmussen’s polling came amid a wave of calls to defund police and a swell in anti-police sentiment. Since 2018, the percentage of likely voters who believes there’s a war on cops has increased from 43% to 59%.

The latest data represented a slight uptick from the 58% high reported in 2015. Meanwhile, 29% disagreed with that view and 12% reported as undecided. The poll has a 3% margin of error.

Rasmussen conducted the poll with 1,000 likely voters on Sept. 15-16, as news surfaced that police officers were attacked in Los Angeles and other cities. Earlier this week, footage emerged in which an assailant walked up to a LAPD car and shot two deputies who were inside the vehicle.

Those types of attacks should be considered hate crimes, according to 59% of likely voters. Support for those so-called “Blue Lives Matter” laws is unchanged from 2016 when Rasmussen polled the issue. That proposal, previously adopted by Louisiana, faced opposition from 25% of voters while 16% were undecided. Another Public School Distributed BLM Handout Comparing Law Enforcement to Slave Owners, the KKK

The left’s not very original. Anything they don’t like is either Hitler or the KKK: ICE, Republicans, cops, the founding fathers — you name it. So it’s no surprise that a public school teacher in Westlake, New York kicked off the first day of class by distributing a handout on the Black Lives Matter movement that compares cops and sheriff’s deputies to klansmen and slave owners.

The disgusting propaganda featured a five-frame cartoon panel that began with a depiction of a slave owner placing his knees on the back of a shackled slave, The New York Post reported. As the frames progress, the slave owner is replaced by a member of the KKK and then, finally, a sheriff’s deputy and a police officer[:]

“My daughter showed me the paper. I said, `What is this?! You’ve got to be kidding me!’ ” said Westlake mom Ania Paternostro. “This cartoon compares the police to the KKK. It’s an attack on the police.” . . .

Her daughter Nicole said she was troubled by Moreno’s lesson plan because she considered it one-sided and anti-police, too.

“The cartoon was disgusting,’’ the teen said. “It compared the police with all the terrible people in history. It was not fair. It wasn’t right.’’

Protesters Show up Shouting at Hospital Treating Severely Wounded Cops: ‘Death to the Police’ (VIDEO)

Protesters reportedly shouting slogans like “Death to the police!” showed up to the Los Angeles area hospital treating two law enforcement officers who were ambushed and shot on Saturday.

“To the protesters blocking the entrance [and] exit of the HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM yelling ‘We hope they die’ referring to 2 LA Sheriff’s ambushed today in #Compton: DO NOT BLOCK EMERGENCY ENTRIES [AND] EXITS TO THE HOSPITAL. People’s lives are at stake when ambulances can’t get through,” the LA County Sheriff’s Department wrote on Twitter early Sunday morning.

A local faith leader who was at the hospital told a KABC reporter that the protesters tried to get into the emergency room.

(Editor’s note: here’s a CCTV video of the shooting)

“They were saying ‘Death to the police’ and ‘Kill the police,’ and these are sheriffs, but the message is still the same. They were using all types of curse words and derogatory terms,” he told KABC. “Unacceptable behavior, because a hospital should be a sanctuary.”

Video posted online showed protesters being prevented from walking farther onto hospital grounds and arguing with hospital security over whether the hospital is public or private property.

Dem Sheriff Leaves Party: ‘Unbelievable’ That Democratic Leadership Condones Rioting

Democratic leadership condoning riots is “unbelievable,” said Sheriff Dave Wedding of Vanderburgh County, Ind., Wednesday.

“What I’ve witnessed across the United States is shocking,” Wedding told “Fox & Friends,” after leaving the Democratic Party.

“As a law enforcement leader, I can’t imagine 101 days of rioting, and it is condoned by the Democratic leadership. It’s unbelievable that they can do that to a law enforcement professional. As a sheriff, I could not imagine putting my deputies on the front lines of these riots night after night with no relief in sight,” Wedding said. . .

Wedding said that he sees that President Trump supports law enforcement because the commander-in-chief offered cities “under siege federal aid.” (Read more from “Dem Sheriff Leaves Party: ‘Unbelievable’ That Democratic Leadership Condones Rioting” HERE)

Poll: Black Americans Favor Higher Police Presence

A Gallup poll released on Wednesday shows that 81 percent of black Americans want the police presence to remain the same or increase in their neighborhood or area. According to the poll, “67 percent of all U.S. adults” also prefer the “status quo” when it comes to local police presence.

“Most Black Americans want the police to spend at least as much time in their area as they currently do, indicating that they value the need for the service that police provide,” the poll concludes.

Eighty-three percent of Hispanic Americans and 88 percent of white Americans share similar attitudes. In contrast, only 72 percent of Asian Americans say they would prefer increased or the same amount of police presence in their neighborhoods.

After an examination of factors such as volume and frequency of police interactions, however, researchers determined that neither were the most significant factor in dictating black Americans’ attitudes towards police presence in their area.

While “exposure comes with more trepidation for Black than White or Hispanic Americans about what they might experience in a police encounter,” poll analysis suggests that “simply having an interaction with the police in the past year has no bearing on black Americans’ preference for local police presence in their area.” (Read more from “Poll: Black Americans Favor Higher Police Presence” HERE)

GOP Lawmakers Push Resolution Supporting Nation’s Law Enforcement Officers; Actor Tyler Perry: ‘We Need MORE Police’ (VIDEO)

By Fox News. Rep. Ken Buck, R-Colo., is introducing a resolution to express support for the nation’s law enforcement and reject efforts to defund the police.

“Democrat mayors and governors are allowing anarchists to burn our cities to the ground,” Buck said in a statement to Fox News. “The least we can do is offer our nation’s law enforcement officers our sincerest thanks and appreciation for their sacrifice to serve our communities regardless of the political winds of the day. Defunding the police will only make our cities less safe.”

A number of cities, such as Los Angeles and New York, have moved to divert massive amounts of money from law enforcement. Cities like Berkeley and San Francisco have moved to stop cops from conducting traffic stops. . .

Buck’s resolution currently has more than 20 cosigners. William Johnson, the executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO), endorsed the legislation in a letter of support of it.

“With this resolution, you are standing up and acknowledging the dedicated and ethical services of the men and women in law enforcement. Today, officers are working in an untenable environment,” Johnson wrote. (Read more from “GOP Lawmakers Push Resolution Supporting Nation’s Law Enforcement Officers” HERE)

WATCH: Black Police Officer Lectures White Protester About Racism

A black Metropolitan Police Department officer lectured a white Black Lives Matter protester in Washington, DC, on Tuesday evening as she attempted to accuse one of his white colleagues of racism.

“Just because you have one black friend, or a black wife, you can still be racist,” she said, speaking through her mask, in a conversation captured on video by Breitbart News. “It has nothing to do with your acquaintances.”

She accused him of being intimidated when he walked away.

Another officer, who appeared to be African American, intervened: “It’s not intimidating … You’re trying to have a conversation, and you have a one-track mind? There’s no point … You have to be able to go in with both sides of the story.”

. . .“America has a sin problem. The world has a sin problem, ma’am. Okay? Jesus said: ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” (Read more from “WATCH: Black Police Officer Lectures White Protester About Racism” HERE)

Police Officer Admits to Fabricating Story About Vulgar Message on Cup

A Kansas police chief who called out a local McDonald’s — after one of his officers claimed he was served a cup of coffee with a vulgar and insulting message attached — said Monday the officer has resigned after fabricating the incident.

Herington Police Chief Brian Hornaday confirmed the unnamed officer made up the story about being given a coffee cup with “F—–g pig” written on it. The incident caused a stir on social media over the weekend and resulted in criticism of the fast-food giant.

“This was completely and solely fabricated by a Herington police officer who is no longer with our agency,” Hornaday said during a Monday news conference. “Moving forward, the Herington Police Department will work tirelessly to regain to loss of trust with both McDonald’s and with the citizens that we serve.”

Hornaday also said the unnamed officer was 23 and had been with the department for just two months. He called the incident a “black-eye for law enforcement” and said no criminal charges were expected to be filed.

On Monday, the owner of the Junction City McDonald’s denied his employees wrote the message. Dana Cook said video surveillance proved his workers committed no wrongdoing. (Read more from “Police Officer Admits to Fabricating Story About Vulgar Message on Cup” HERE)
