WATCH: Seattle ‘Autonomous Zone’ Has a Border Wall, Conducts ‘Deportations’; Who’s in Charge of CHAZ?; Dispatch From ‘CHAZ’: Tweets Call for Guns, Gatorade and Cigarettes

By Breitbart. Seattle, Washington’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) — formed by anarchists, Antifa members, and Black Lives Matter activists — has set up a border wall surrounding its perimeters and is seemingly conducting ‘deportations’.

CHAZ, a six-square block autonomous zone, has clear and precise borders made up of mostly vehicle barriers and various forms of fencing.

Likewise, CHAZ occupants have seemingly conducted at least one deportation.

On Thursday, reporter Julio Rosas captured a moment where CHAZ occupants kicked out a man who said he was a pro-life activist and had been live-streaming from inside the autonomous zone.

The man was taunted by a mob as he was kicked out. The process was far less technical and impartial than the deportation process of the United States federal government.

Who’s in Charge of CHAZ?

By PJ Media. Conservative media has been pushing the narrative that “armed antifa” thugs are in control of the so-called capitol hill autonomous zone. Indeed, antifa is there. And numerous witnesses attest to at least some of them being armed.

But if you read the mainstream media and listen to Seattle authorities, you get a quite different picture.

It is true that demonstrators have occupied a small, six-square block section of Seattle and designated it an “autonomous zone.” And it is true that, after clashes with police, a precinct was boarded up and evacuated in an attempt to deescalate the situation.

But claims that bands of militant Antifa members are roving the Seattle streets appear to be grossly exaggerated in right-wing media. In fact, according to the Seattle mayor’s office, city officials haven’t seen any evidence to indicate armed members of Antifa are even on the ground.

“City officials have not interacted with ‘armed antifa militants’ at this site, but will continue to be on site to monitor the situation closely,” Lori Patrick, a spokesperson for the Seattle mayor, told CNN Wednesday night.

Dispatch From ‘CHAZ’: Tweets Call for Guns, Gatorade and Cigarettes as Cops Struggle to Figure out Who’s in Charge

By Fox News. Activists and police have clashing views regarding the activities going on inside the so-called “CHAZ,” a six-block area of Seattle that has been taken over by protesters — and authorities are still scratching their heads as to who is actually running the rabble. . .

One CHAZ supporter, identified as Armani on Twitter, encouraged protesters to “buy guns.”

Police have repeatedly said they have “heard, anecdotally, reports of citizens and businesses being asked to pay a fee to operate within this area” while others have complained about armed guards asking to see identification for people to enter their homes, according to Assistant Chief of Police Deanna Nollette.

Police have also said their response time to 911 calls has tripled over the last few days because they are unable to access the downtown region and are being blocked out by protesters.

A possible leader behind the movement is Kshama Sawant, a Seattle City Council member who helped let hundreds of demonstrators into City Hall earlier this week in a late-night protest calling for Mayor Jenny Durkan to resign.

Seattle Occupiers’ Dangerous and Unconstitutional Demands

After repeated clashes with, at times, violent protesters, the Seattle Police Department abandoned its East Precinct building in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. On June 8, protesters occupied and barricaded the six blocks surrounding it. They have since named their territory the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.

The protesters have now published a list of demands.

The list includes a number of foolish and dangerous policy proposals, including:

Defunding the police “100%,” which would include defunding pensions for retired officers and replacing them with “localized anti-crime systems.”

Abolishing the courts.

Abolishing imprisonment.

Retrying all persons of color convicted of violent offenses.

Staffing the 911 line with mental health experts.

Establishing city-wide rent control.

Banning evictions.

Socializing medicine.

Granting citizenship to illegal aliens.

Providing reparations for African Americans.

In other times or other cities, these ideas would be politically infeasible. But Seattle’s leaders are at least sympathetic to them, if not actively supporting them.

Seattle’s mayor and all of its city councilmembers are staunch progressives. One councilmember, Kshama Sawant, marched with protesters as they occupied the Seattle City Hall.

Sawant has previously called for “a powerful socialist movement to end all capitalist oppression and exploitation.”

As outlandish as some of these proposals are, they likely face weaker political headwinds than one might think.

Thankfully, however, the Constitution prohibits some of these demands.

Consider, for example, the demand that all “people in color” currently imprisoned for violent crimes be retried by a “jury of their peers in their community.”

The Constitution already guarantees the right to be tried by a jury of their peers, and anyone convicted of a crime benefited from that right unless they voluntarily waived it.

But, of course, what the protesters probably mean by a “jury of their peers” is a jury that shares the same skin tone with the accused. To accomplish that, any potential jurors who did not share the defendant’s skin tone would have to be struck from the jury pool based solely on their race, and that is not constitutional.

And what of the courts? The protesters call for their abolishment, but the Constitution guarantees a variety of rights that are dependent on competent courts to administer them, such as the right to a jury trial, the right to due process, and the right to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures.

Take away trained judges and the procedural safeguards of the court system, and these rights become paper tigers.

Likewise, the Constitution guarantees a number of rights that are dependent upon some form of law enforcement to give them effect. Consider, for example, a criminal defendant’s rights to confront his accuser and to compel witnesses to testify on his behalf.

To enforce those rights, some group of people must be able to wield the power of the state to force other people to do something that they might not want to do. You don’t have to call them “police,” but the Constitution requires that they exist.

What about the protesters’ economic demands for rent control and an end to evictions? They might as well abolish private property, because the effect of such policies is to eliminate all the rights associated with property ownership, which the Constitution protects.

And finally, what of their demands for reparations for black people? Any such blatantly race-based scheme would have to pass the highest level of judicial scrutiny, and a sea of unanswerable questions make that difficult to conceive: Who is sufficiently “black”? How much did historical discrimination cause a claimant’s modern problems? Would reparations solve those problems? The list goes on.

The protesters’ answer to these constitutional concerns might be: “We reject the Constitution and all the limits it places on us.” Well, the rest of society does not.

More importantly, those who control the levers of power that could, theoretically, make this list of demands a reality have sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution.

As such, the Constitution prevents at least some of these demands from becoming a reality, even if politicians support them.

Nevertheless, the Constitution’s bulwark should not make us complacent in the face of demands like these. Seattle’s protesters, and other radicals like them, will figure out that the Constitution is the biggest obstacle to their agenda, and they will come for it too. WATCH: ATF Offers Reward for Couple Who Allegedly Lit Businesses on Fire During Protests — and Posted Video Online

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is seeking information from the public about a couple that they believe lit several businesses on fire during the recent protests over the death of George Floyd in Minnesota. . .

Officials believe Jose Felan Jr. and his girlfriend Mena Yousif are on the run from law enforcement. They said Felan has multiple felony convictions on his record, including drug offenses, burglary, and aggravated assault. . .

Numerous fires broke out in Minnesota during protests against the death of George Floyd, who died while in police custody.

The ATF asked for help from the public in obtaining more video evidence of any other suspects who might have committed arson during the rioting and looting. (Read more from “ATF Offers Reward for Couple Who Allegedly Lit Businesses on Fire During Protests — and Posted Video Online” HERE)

Dr. Shelby Steele: The Combination of White Guilt and Victim Mentality Is Not the Solution (VIDEO)

Well-regarded author Dr. Shelby Steele appears for an interview with Martha MacCallum to discuss race relations in the U.S. and how the politics of white guilt does nothing to improve black lives. Dr. Steele challenges the victim narrative and discusses how policies focused on victimization do not empower the strength of any community.

Candidate Joe Biden defined the blackness of black people by saying if they did not support him “you ain’t black.” Obviously the strategy to campaign on this issue was made in the days prior to the South Carolina primary. What we see now is a continuation of that plan. However, the pandering is over-the-top; and there are indications of a backlash from within the black community.

It does not matter what your race, ethnicity or skin color is, no-one likes being talked down to. The nature of the leftist political effort by the DNC’s white coastal elites is based on expressed superiority in alignment with the ‘you ain’t black enough’ outlook from presidential candidate Joe Biden.

This approach will predictably backfire, bigly, in part because campaign director James Clyburn himself is detached from current political sentiment by his age and class-structure. It’s 2020 knuckleheads.

The democrats are poll-testing their approach, but the audience responding to the polls are just more leftist elites. The Democrats are defining an Alinsky strategy through their own biased prism of race. Then they ask opinion of that strategy to a closed and cloistered echo-chamber. It is a circle of racist stupidity.

Outside the DNC ideological bubble, where real people live, work, interact and enjoy each-others fellowship, what the Democrats are trying to do is so fraught with cringe that ordinary people are embarrassed to associate with the effort. This is a big part of the reason why their heavily coordinated and scripted effort is not gaining traction.

Black people do not want the police to be defunded, by leftist activists and trust-fund protestors who don’t even live in the neighborhoods where police are needed, any more than any other person does. Common sense exists within every race.

Racism at it’s basic U.S. form is defined by economics; limo-liberals have the greatest likelihood of actually being racist. Blue-collar middle-class America doesn’t sit around wasting time thinking about race and class struggles. Each individual tries to live their best life and do the best they can for their family. ‘Cops’ Canceled in Wake of Riots Against Police

Cops, the long-running reality show that already survived one cancellation, will officially end in the wake of nationwide protests against police brutality.

“Cops is not on the Paramount Network and we don’t have any current or future plans for it to return,” a network spokesman told Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday.

Progressive groups celebrated the cancellation immediately, with the group Color of Change saying the show was ended “after our conversation with [Paramount Network] this week and after millions of our members raised their voices.” . . .

Cops premiered in March 1989 and aired 33 seasons and over 1,100 episodes. Prior to its first cancellation on Fox, Cops was the longest running show in the channel’s history. In 2013, Fox cancelled the show after 25 seasons. (Read more from “‘Cops’ Canceled in Wake of Riots Against Police” HERE)

Rioters Killed Her Cop Brother During George Floyd Protests. Here’s What She Thinks of ‘Defunding’ Police

The sister of a federal protective officer in Oakland who was fatally shot during a protest for George Floyd that turned violent told Congress on Wednesday calls to defund the police are “ridiculous”.

“It is a ridiculous solution to claim that defunding police departments is the solution to police brutality and discrimination because it’s not a solution. It gets us nowhere as a nation and removes the safety net protection that every citizen deserves from their communities elected officials,” Angela Underwood Jacobs said at the House Judiciary Committee’s hearing on proposed changes to police practices on Capitol Hill.

Jacobs’ brother, Patrick Underwood, was stationed in front of the U.S. Courthouse in Oakland Calif., on May 29 when a vehicle pulled up the building and opened fire at him and another contract security officer who both worked for Homeland Security’s Federal Protective Service. Underwood was killed while the second officer was wounded. . .

After Floyd’s brother, Philonise Floyd, testified to the committee, Jacobs, who is also a city council member for Lancaster, Calif., urged lawmakers to focus on reinvesting in other areas where racial disparities exist, such as education, jobs and housing rather than dismantling law enforcement agencies altogether.

She also condemned the use of violence against police officers and other tactics such as looting and burning– which she said has marred otherwise peaceful protests in dozens of cities across the country– calling these acts “blind violence.” (Read more from “Rioters Killed Her Cop Brother During George Floyd Protests. Los Angeles: Homicides Soared 250% Since Last Week; Woman Shot After Confronting Looters

By Breitbart. Homicides rose by 250% in Los Angeles, and the number of shooting victims rose by 56%, during the week ending June 6, according to the Los Angeles Police Department — the same week as the Black Lives Matter protests and riots.

The surge in deadly crimes in L.A. mirrored similar reports elsewhere in the country for the week of May 31 to June 6, when riots and looting exploded alongside “peaceful protests” against the killing of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In Chicago, for example, May 31 marked the single deadliest 24-hour period in 60 years, with 18 people killed. (Read more from “Los Angeles: Homicides Soared 250% Since Last Week” HERE)

Woman Shot After Yelling at Looters in St. Louis

By KSDK. A woman was shot after yelling at looters in north St. Louis early Tuesday morning.

According to a police report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers received a call on June 5 that a woman had been recovering from a gunshot wound to her foot.

The woman told police she and a man were driving home around 1 a.m. on Tuesday when they saw looters in the Wellston area. The man and woman said they yelled at the looters and then the looters got into several cars and chased them to the area of Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Hodiamont, which is where they fired shots into their car. The Social Distancing Double Standard Is Real and Absurd; Conservatives Charge Liberals With Social-Distancing Hypocrisy

By Washington Examiner. People of faith in the United States have been told since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic that they cannot congregate in their churches, mosques, or synagogues until the threat of the virus has passed.

It is simply too dangerous, our leaders say, for people of faith to meet as a body for worship and praise. Yet many of these same leaders also support the massive, crowded protests that have sprung up in response to the wrongful death of George Floyd.

It is impossible to miss the double standard, especially because these elected officials told us specifically that it is a matter of life and death that we socially distance ourselves.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, for example, joined a recent Floyd protest in his city, participating proudly in a demonstration that saw attendees doing very little to adhere to those social distancing guidelines we were told would save lives. But it was not so long ago that Garcetti, whose public appearance last week saw him forgo the all-important face mask, said that it was essential that churches, synagogues, and mosques remain closed. For public health reasons.

Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser, whose restrictions on places of worship are still in place, has similarly marched with large crowds in the nation’s capital. (Read more from “The Social Distancing Double Standard Is Real and Absurd” HERE)

Conservatives Charge Liberals With Social-Distancing Hypocrisy

By Politico. Conservatives have found their latest example of liberal hypocrisy: Disappearing outrage over protesters refusing to social distance.

The charge has spread through conservative Twitter and is invoked frequently on conservative media outlets, from Red State to Fox News. They note that when lockdown protesters flooded state capitol buildings, politicians and pundits alike expressed horror that gatherings would accelerate the coronavirus pandemic. But now, with thousands of people gathering to protest police brutality in the wake of George Floyd’s killing at the hands of the Minneapolis police, conservatives are asking: Where did that concern go?

For many on the right — even conservatives who are harsh Trump critics — the situation plays into a broader narrative of liberal elite double standards.

Conservatives “are upset at the political leaders who think protesting and mass gatherings are more important suddenly than being able to feed your family or keep your business open,” said Stephen L. Miller, a conservative media critic and contributor to The Spectator. (Read more from “Conservatives Charge Liberals With Social-Distancing Hypocrisy” HERE)

Anarchy Will Rule in Every Major City

Call it reverse broken windows policing. Police are treated as criminals and criminals are exalted as oppressed and entitled to riot with no consequences for assaults and property damage. The result? Record shootings and homicides in some major cities. This is only the beginning.

The societal and cultural response to the killing of George Floyd is closely paralleling the response to coronavirus. Just as with the virus, the lockdown killed more people than the ailment itself, the rioting in response to George Floyd’s death will lead to thousands more deaths in the long run and is already directly and indirectly responsible for exponentially more murders – primarily of black citizens.

On Sunday, a record 18 people were killed in Chicago in the worst single day of violence in 60 years, since the University of Chicago’s crime lab began keeping records in 1961. In total, over the weekend, 92 were shot and 27 succumbed to their wounds. All of the pictures of the known victims indicate they were African-Americans. And unlike with coronavirus, nearly all the victims were very young with much more life to live. Who is going to kneel on the ground for them? Who is going to pass legislation deterring repeat violent offenders, ending bail and parole for career criminals, and prescribing tougher sentences on gun felons? Well, certainly not the people using George Floyd’s death to promote the exact opposite.

The reality is that at least 17 people have been killed so far during the riots. However, as we see from Chicago and other cities, an unknown number – possibly totaling in the hundreds – have died likely as the result of police taking a hands-off approach to their work. The results of the riots and the war on cops are more deadly for African-Americans than anything imaginable.

Here is an eyewitness account of downtown Chicago by anti-gun violence activist Rev. Michael Pfleger:

“On Saturday and particularly Sunday, I heard people saying all over, ‘Hey, there’s no police anywhere, police ain’t doing nothing,’” Pfleger said.

“I sat and watched a store looted for over an hour,” he added. “No police came. I got in my car and drove around to some other places getting looted [and] didn’t see police anywhere.”

Chicago is not even the most vivid example. In some ways, they have been experiencing a relative increase in violence for several years. New York is really where we are seeing the stark contrast. Thanks to the more aggressive policing first begun by Mayor Rudy Giuliani, New York City enjoyed a massive decline in violent crime for over two decades.

Now that is all being wiped out overnight by new jailbreak laws and the war on the NYPD. Last week, the city reported 13 murders, up from just five over the same week last year. Shootings have nearly doubled and property crime is up. On Monday night, seven people were shot in Brooklyn over a 10-minute period.

Why? Because police are getting beaten and can’t defend themselves lest they face prosecution. Over 300 NYPD officers have been injured in the riots. Few will see justice. In Los Angeles, the prosecutor announced that few rioters will face charges and all those who violated curfew will be free from criminal charges. In Chicago alone, in just nine days, 2,665 arrests have been made for civil unrest and disorderly, 788 arrests for looting, and 525 guns recovered. Watch for the same people who claim to abhor guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens to suddenly ignore these gun crimes.

What is the point of being a cop in America today? According to the FBI, in 2018, there were 58,866 assaults against law enforcement officers, resulting in 18,005 injuries. You almost never heard about them. God knows how many are taking place today. The resignations and retirements will continue while new recruitment will be nonexistent. The ones who don’t resign will be fired unless they kneel to the mob, like one police chief in Michigan who was forced out after voicing support for people engaging in open carry to protect their families from the politically untouchable rioters.

By far, according to the FBI, the most common circumstance leading to a cop injury is a disturbance call. Police are responding to help and protect other citizens. Now they will just take a hands-off approach and come to do the paperwork.

The question President Trump and Republicans must start asking is what level of killings, injuries, and property damage is acceptable before they begin pushing an active pro-enforcement agenda with as much passion and energy as the Left is pushing anarchy? African Woman Excoriates Democrats

The Blaze. An African woman posted a video excoriating Democrats for using traditional African garb in their political photo op on Monday, but her viral message was met with vitriolic anger by some liberals.

Obianuju Ekeocha posted the video to Twitter where it quickly garnered hundreds of thousands views for criticizing the Black Lives Matter demonstration by Democrats using a traditional Kente cloth. . .

Some African Americans on social media also criticized the political photo op by Democrats, while others noted that it was the Congressional Black Caucus that passed out the kente cloths to the lawmakers.

Later, Ekeocha posted an example of a vitriolic email she received from someone angry about her video.

“Well, they’ve sent their dogs after me,” she said. “This is exactly how people view Africans who dare to contradict them.”
