Russian Soldiers Killed by North Koreans After Enlisting Them for Help, Ukraine Says

Russian paramilitary soldiers were accidentally targeted and killed by North Korean troops in a recent bout of friendly fire, according to Ukrainian officials.

In a statement published on Saturday, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) detailed how Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) soldiers have recently assisted Russian troops in the Kursk Oblast, which is currently occupied by Ukrainian forces. Ukrainian officials estimate that around 11,000 DPRK personnel are stationed in Russia.

“The aggressor state of Russia has begun to use DPRK soldiers in assault operations in the Kursk region, in particular, as part of the combined units of the marines and airborne troops of the Russian Armed Forces,” the statement read.

“The North Korean troops suffer sanitary and irreversible losses as a result of a successful fire attack by the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces,” the DIU added. “In particular, at one of the positions in the Kursk region, the DPRK army was effectively targeted by FPV drones.”

The DIU noted that, in a recent incident, the language barrier between Russian and North Korean troops ultimately led to the death of eight soldiers in the Akhmat special forces unit, which is a paramilitary group in Chechnya. NATO Chief Warns Alliance Not Ready for Future Threats From Russia, China

NATO countries need to ramp up their defense spending and “shift to a wartime mindset” because the alliance is not ready to meet future military threats from adversaries like Russia and China, newly installed NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said Thursday.

In his first public appearance in Brussels since becoming chief of the U.S.-led security alliance, Mr. Rutte noted that NATO members earmarked upwards of 3% of their GDP to defense during the Cold War.

“We are not ready for what is coming our way in four to five years. Danger is moving toward us at full speed,” Mr. Rutte said during a speech hosted by the Carnegie Europe think tank. “We must not look the other way. We must face it.”

He said Russian arms factories are churning out war equipment around the clock while China’s military-industrial base also is growing. Beijing is heavily investing in munitions, accelerating its space capabilities and expanding its nuclear arsenal.

“Our defense industry here in Europe has been hollowed out by decades of underinvestment and narrow national industrial interests. Our industry is too small, too fragmented, and too slow,” Mr. Rutte said. “According to some sources, China is acquiring high-end weapons systems and equipment five to six times faster than the U.S.” (Read more from “NATO Chief Warns Alliance Not Ready for Future Threats From Russia, China” HERE)

Report: U.S. and European Officials Discussed Giving Ukraine Nuclear Weapons

By Anti War. According to the New York Times, US and European officials have discussed a range of options they believe will deter Russia from taking more Ukrainian territory, including providing Kiev with nuclear weapons. The outlet reports that Western officials believe the Kremlin will not significantly escalate the war before Donald Trump is sworn in as President in January.

Following the election of Trump earlier this month, the US and its NATO allies began taking steps to rush weapons to Ukraine and give Kiev the ability to strike targets inside Russian territory with long-range weapons.

American officials who were briefed on the intelligence community’s assessments told the Times that weapons will not alter the challenging situation that Kiev is currently facing. “US spy agencies have assessed that speeding up the provisions of weapons, ammunition and matériel for Ukraine will do little to change the course of the war in the short term,” the Times reports.

Desperate to bolster Ukraine’s standing in the war before the transition of power on January 20, the Biden administration is looking at a range of serious escalations. “US and European officials are discussing deterrence as a possible security guarantee for Ukraine, such as stockpiling a conventional arsenal sufficient to strike a punishing blow if Russia violates a cease-fire.” The article continues, “Several officials even suggested that Mr. Biden could return nuclear weapons to Ukraine that were taken from it after the fall of the Soviet Union.” (Read more from “Report: U.S. and European Officials Discussed Giving Ukraine Nuclear Weapons” HERE)

NATO Considers Preemptive Strikes Amid Rising Tensions With Russia

By MSN News. NATO Military Committee Chairman Admiral Rob Bauer stated during a conference in Brussels that NATO leadership is contemplating the possibility of conducting precise preemptive strikes on Russian territory in the event of an armed conflict between Moscow and the Alliance.

He added that the North Atlantic Alliance must replenish its weapons stockpiles, modernise air defence systems, and precision strike systems.

Earlier, Bauer stated that the management of major Western companies should be prepared for wartime conditions and adjust their production and distribution lines accordingly to become less vulnerable to blackmail from Russia and China.

At present, the Russians do not pose the same threat as they did in February 2022, so we have some time to prepare, said Rob Bauer in Brussels, referring to the state of military equipment and the level of soldier training. He added that for the West, this means the necessity of increasing investments in the arms industry.

In his opinion, deterring the opponent involves not only military capabilities, but also the use of all available tools in wartime conditions. (Read more from “NATO Considers Preemptive Strikes Amid Rising Tensions With Russia” HERE)

Tucker Carlson Warns ‘Satan’ Runs The White House As Biden Approves Use Of Landmines In Ukraine

Tucker Carlson warned that “Satan” was in charge of the White House after President Joe Biden approved the use of landmines and long-range missiles for Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia. . .

During the conversation, the host turned to the Ukrainian war with Russia, lamenting the scale of death and destruction of Ukraine. He then asked Carlson about Biden’s decision to allow the country to use US-made long-range missiles to launch attacks inside Russia.

“Now and then with add on top of that, the Biden administration now has okayed anti-personnel mines to be used,” he said. “Something they’ve long said absolutely we won’t use.”

“The Biden administration was absolutely against this. This was their stance. And now suddenly within the past week, all of this has changed. So who the hell is running the White House?” he asked. “Who is running the White House? Who is our de facto president? Is it Antony Blinken right now? Is it Jake Sullivan? Who is doing this?”

Carlson, who claimed at the beginning of November that he had been “physically mauled” by a demon, offered a supernatural answer that left the host stunned.

Well, if you’d asked me yesterday morning, I would have said Tony Blinken, who’s been running it since the beginning. But now I would say Satan. Because anybody, I really think that you’ve got, you know, dark forces in charge. I mean, there’s no, there’s no justification for using anti-personnel mines in this conflict, which can’t hope to be solved with anti-personnel mines resolved in any way. The only effect of that move is to kill innocence period. That’s it. That’s the only effect. And, and they know that. And so they’re doing it anyway, because killing is the point. So it’s evil. I think we should say that.

Donald Trump’s Ally Rejects Putin Negotiation Plan

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds has dismissed calls for a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine, suggesting Russian President Vladimir Putin could not be trusted to honor such an agreement.

“As much as I would like to believe we can negotiate with a tyrant, I suspect we may be deceiving ourselves,” Rounds said in reference to Putin at the Halifax Security Forum on Friday.

“Do you believe that this tyrant, if you offer him a part of a free country, do you think he’s gonna stop?” Rounds said.

“I wish I could say there’s an easy way out, there’s not.” (Read more from “Donald Trump’s Ally Rejects Putin Negotiation Plan” HERE)

Russia Threatens to Attack New U.S. Base in Poland With ‘Advanced Weapons’

Russia has threatened to attack a new US defense base in Poland with “advanced weapons” — just hours after reportedly launching an intercontinental ballistic missile at Ukraine on Thursday.

Moscow leveled the warning after saying the opening of the ballistic missile defense base, located in the town of Redzikowo near the Baltic coast, would lead to an increase in overall nuclear danger.

“Given the nature and level of threats posed by such Western military facilities, the missile defense base in Poland has long been added to the list of priority targets for potential destruction, which, if necessary, can be executed with a wide range of advanced weapons,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

The US base at Redzikowo, which opened Nov. 13, is part of a broader NATO missile shield — known as “Aegis Ashore” — that can intercept short- to intermediate-range ballistic missiles, according to the alliance.

“This is another frankly provocative step in a series of deeply destabilizing actions by the Americans and their allies in the North Atlantic Alliance in the strategic sphere,” Zakharova said of the base’s opening. Ukraine’s Former Military Commander in Chief Delivers Chilling Message: WWIII ‘Has Begun’

Kyiv’s former military commander in chief said the direct involvement of Russian allies in Ukraine means that World War III has officially begun.

“I believe that in 2024 we can absolutely believe that the Third World War has begun,” former military chief Valery Zaluzhny warned Thursday, according to Politico.

Zaluzhny, who now serves as Ukraine’s envoy to the UK, said Kyiv’s conflict is now on a global scale following the deployment of North Korean troops in Russia earlier this month.

Along with the presence of North Korean and Iranian weapons on the frontlines, Zaluzhny said his nation was besieged by international forces, urging Kyiv’s allies to respond in kind.

“It is obvious that Ukraine already has too many enemies. Ukraine will survive with technology, but it is not clear whether it can win this battle alone,” he said. (Read more from “Ukraine’s Former Military Commander in Chief Delivers Chilling Message: WWIII ‘Has Begun’” HERE)

Big Change to Russian Nuclear Doctrine Now Allows Putin to Use Nukes in Ukraine

Just days after the United States allowed Ukraine to use its long-range missile for deep strikes within Russian territory; President Vladimir Putin has approved changes to his country’s nuclear doctrine.

The changes to the nuclear doctrine have been approved by Putin on Tuesday.

The most noticeable change is that it expands the conditions under which nuclear weapons can be used by Moscow.

To put things into perspective, Russia can now use nuclear weapons in instances when a non-nuclear state supported by nuclear power attacks its area.

The timing suggests that it is the U.S. President Joe Biden’s approval to Kyiv for using the MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) for deep strikes within Russian territory that has brought about this shift in the Russian nuclear doctrine. Russia Begins Mass Production of Radiation-Resistant Bomb Shelters

These bomb shelters are designed to protect against radiation and natural disasters.

And they’re now being mass produced in Russia, the country’s emergency ministry research institute has said.

That announcement coming as U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration agreed to allow Ukraine to fire American long range missiles deep into Russia.

Though the research institute did not link the production increase to any current crisis.

The ”KUB-M” shelter is said to defend against a variety of threats including shrapnel, debris and fires. (Read more from “Russia Begins Mass Production of Radiation-Resistant Bomb Shelters” HERE)
