IDENTIFIED: The Exact Comments the Slain TV Reporter Used That Her On-Air Killer Found ‘Racist’

alisonparker-913x512The alleged killer of two WDBJ journalists, Alison Parker and Adam Ward, in Roanoke, Va., contended he was the victim of racism while working at the station. It is now known what he meant by “racism.”

Vester Lee Flanagan, who used the on-air name Bryce Williams, worked at WDBJ from March 2012 through February 2013 before being terminated and escorted out of the station by police. During his tenure, he accused employees of racism. According to The New York Post, the specific phrases used by Flanagan’s colleagues included “swinging” by an address and going out in the “field,” not uncommon terms for reporters to use.

“One was something about ‘swinging’ by some place; the other was out in the ‘field,’” said a Jan. 21 report by WDBJ assistant news director Greg Baldwin, referring to Parker as Alison Bailey (her middle name). No disciplinary action was taken against Parker, but Flanagan was still incensed by the remarks. He filed a discrimination lawsuit against the station in January 2013, one month before he was dismissed from WDBJ.

After allegedly committing the murder, the former journalist tweeted that Ward once reported him to human resources and that Parker reportedly made racist comments:

Adam went to [human resources] on me after working with me one time!!!

Alison made racist comments

Fox News Anchor Exposes Media Narrative on News Crew Killings With One Cutting Question

150826133305-vester-flanagan-1024x576Fox News’ Gretchen Carlson exploded the double standard involved when blacks commit crimes against whites on Wednesday when she asked a security expert why the televised murders of two whites by a black former colleague are not being labeled as hate crimes.

Carlson pointed out that the gunman, Vester Flanagan, was motivated by race when he killed reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward and injured another white woman. Carlson noted Flanagan’s detailed and racially charged manifesto that was faxed to ABC News after the murders.

“He put the initials of the Charleston church shooting victims on the bullets that he used today, he praised the Virginia Tech mass killer, Columbine High School killers, says he was being attacked for being a gay black man.

“He shot three white people today,” Carlson said. “How is that not a hate crime?”

“No, Gretchen, it’s not,” security expert Paul Viollis tried to explain. “This is quintessential workplace violence from the behavioral profile of the individual to the actions that he displayed, from the manifesto to the time he was terminated in 2013.” (Read more from “Fox News Anchor Exposes Media Narrative on News Crew Killings With One Cutting Question” HERE)

Why Is the Police Shooting of Unarmed White Driver Getting Less Publicity Than Other Recent Police Shootings?

downloadTo Zachary Hammond’s supporters, the shooting death of the 19-year-old man was yet another example of questionable police behavior that has shaken communities around the country.

In their view, the police in Seneca, S.C., falsely claimed Mr. Hammond was shot last month as he tried to drive his car over the officer who fired on him, when his wounds show he was actually shot from the side and back.

They also say the deadly confrontation, in which officers approached with their guns drawn and screaming profanities, evolved from an absurd sting effort to trap his date into selling a tiny amount of marijuana, a drug now decriminalized in much of the country.

Yet the case has not received as much attention as the officer-involved shooting deaths of Walter L. Scott in North Charleston, S.C., or Samuel DuBose, a motorist who was killed in Cincinnati. Like both of those men, Mr. Hammond was apparently unarmed.

Unlike them, he was white. And his family’s attorney, Eric Bland, contends that is why most people have never heard of Mr. Hammond. (Read more from “Why Is the Police Shooting of an Unarmed White Driver Getting Less Publicity Than Other Recent Police Shootings?” HERE)

South Carolina Officer Shoots Unarmed White Teen During Pot Bust

150806170949-seneca-police-shooting-south-carolina-00005708-exlarge-169You think you’ve heard this story before. A young, unarmed man is shot to death by a police officer. Black activists are outraged. The only difference with this scenario is that the young man was not black, but white.

Nineteen-year-old Zachary Hammond was on a date July 26 when he was fatally shot by a police officer while in parking lot at a Hardee’s fast-food restaurant in Seneca, South Carolina, according to Eric Bland, the attorney representing the teen’s family.

The Seneca Police Department said the officer was conducting a drug investigation and shot Hammond in self-defense.

“He was a uniformed officer, he was in a marked vehicle, was out of his vehicle on foot approaching the suspect vehicle — weapon drawn given it was a narcotics-type violation,” Seneca Police Chief John Covington said to CNN affiliate WHNS in Greenville. He added that the officer is now on administrative leave . . .

Tori Morton, 24, who was on the date with Hammond, was arrested on charges of simple possession of marijuana. An incident report from Seneca police said that Morton was the target of the police investigation. (Read more from “South Carolina Officer Shoots Unarmed White Teen During Pot Bust” HERE)

University of Cincinnati Officer Indicted in Shooting Death of Driver [+video]

A University of Cincinnati police officer was indicted Wednesday on a murder charge in what a prosecutor called “a senseless, asinine shooting” during a minor traffic stop. It was the first time such a charge had been leveled against an officer in the city.

The Hamilton County prosecuting attorney, Joseph T. Deters, released a much-anticipated video of the shooting of Samuel DuBose, and described it as providing crucial evidence that the officer had lied about being dragged by DuBose’s car.

A grand jury, Deters announced, had indicted Officer Ray Tensing for murder, punishable by life in prison, and voluntary manslaughter.

“It was a senseless, asinine shooting,” Deters said at a news conference in Cincinnati, using stark terms to denounce the July 19 episode, Tensing’s statements about it, and the 25-year-old officer himself. “This office has probably reviewed upwards of 100 police shootings, and this is the first time we’ve thought, ‘This is without question a murder.’

“He wasn’t dealing with someone who was wanted for murder,” Deters said. “He was dealing with someone who didn’t have a front license plate. This was, in the vernacular, a pretty chicken-crap stop.” (Read more from “University of Cincinnati Officer Indicted in Shooting Death of Driver” HERE)

At Least 3 Dead After Gunman Opens Fire at Lafayette, La. Movie Theater

A gunman killed two people and injured nine others late Thursday when he opened fire with a semi-automatic handgun in a Lafayette, La. movie theater before turning the weapon on himself, the city’s police chief said.

Chief Jim Craft told reporters that authorities had identified the shooter as a 58-year-old white man, but did not release his name, citing the ongoing investigation. Craft later said that the gunman had a criminal record, but had not been in trouble with the law recently. He did not elaborate further, and added that no motive had been established. Early Friday, Craft said that investigators were investigating possible addresses for the shooter in multiple Southern states.

The chief said that one of the injured victims was in critical condition and the ages of the wounded ranged from the late teens to early 60s. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said that one victim had been released from a local hospital.

Late Thursday, authorities said they had found the gunman’s vehicle with a suspicious package inside. A bomb squad and hazmat team were called in and the area near the theater was evacuated. Minutes later, an Associated Press reporter on the scene heard a number of short bursts similar to firecrackers coming from that vicinity. Craft later said that the suspicious object was found to be harmless.

Col. Mike Edmonson of the Louisiana State Police said that there are no other suspects apart from the deceased shooter. He added that police believe the gunman fired shots only at the theater and had not waged an attack anywhere else beforehand. Illegal Alien Suspect in California Shooting Allegedly Used a Federal Agent’s Gun

Photo Credit: Fox News The gun used by a Mexican illegal alien when he allegedly shot dead a 32-year-old woman at a San Francisco pier belonged to a federal agent, a source confirmed to Fox News Tuesday.

It was not immediately clear how Francisco Sanchez, 45, would have obtained the weapon. However, the San Francisco Chronicle reported sources told the paper the gun had been stolen during a car burglary in June.

Earlier Tuesday, Sanchez pled not guilty to first-degree murder in last week’s shooting of Kathryn Steinle, 32, while she was walking with her father and a family friend at Pier 14. Police said witnesses heard no argument or dispute before the shooting, suggesting it was a random attack.

Sanchez had previously told KGO-TV Sunday in a mix of Spanish and English that he found a gun wrapped inside a shirt while he was sitting on a bench at the pier and smoking a cigarette . . .

The shooting has drawn national attention and criticism of the city’s sanctuary ordinance after federal officials revealed that Sanchez has seven felony convictions and was deported five times to his native Mexico. How One Woman Risked Her Life to Ensure the Charleston Shooting Suspect’s Capture [+video]

Accused Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof was apprehended thanks to the quick thinking of a North Carolina citizen. She gives all credit and glory to God.

Debbie Dills told the Shelby Star: “I was in church [Wednesday] night myself. I had seen the news coverage before I went to bed and started praying for those families down there.” She added: “Those people were in their church just trying to learn the word of God and trying to serve. When I saw a picture of that pastor [Thursday] morning, my heart just sank.” She thought that it could have just as easily been her.

Dills was running late for work Thursday morning at Frady’s Florist near Shelby, North Carolina, when she noticed a car up ahead of her. She wasn’t even sure why she took note of the black Hyundai, which was being driven by a young man.

“I saw the pictures of him with the bowl cut. I said, ‘I’ve seen that car for some reason.’ I look over, and it’s got a South Carolina tag on it,” Dills said Thursday afternoon. “I thought, ‘Nah, that’s not [Roof’s] car.’ Then, I got closer and saw that haircut. I was nervous. I had the worst feeling. Is that him or not him?”

She took her normal exit to go to work, but it was not sitting well with her. She called her boss and friend Todd Frady to ask for his advice.

“She just had a gut feeling that something just wasn’t right,” Frady said.

He told her that she should go try to catch up with him again and get the license plate number, while he called his police officer friend on another phone.

Dills caught back up with Roof and stayed with him until Shelby police cruisers pulled in behind the suspect a few minutes later. From the time Dills first spotted the accused shooter’s car until he was apprehended by police was about 20 minutes. She had trailed the suspect for over 25 miles.

“Them boys knocked it down. They were on it,” Dills said. “Just after the arrest, three of [the police from nearby] Kings Mountain were standing right over there. Thanking me and shaking my hand.”

During an interview on Fox and Friends Friday morning, co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck called the florist a hero for her actions. Dills admitted she got a little nervous after spotting who she thought could be Roof. She said that “God is the hero.” Dills believes He directly intervened to cause events to play out as they did in the suspect’s arrest 430 miles from where the shooting took place.

“I’m not brave, but I started talking to the Lord about it,” Dills explained. “If we are willing vessels, He can use us.”

“That is the kind of God I serve. He puts us where we need to be, when we need to be,” she said. (“How One Woman Risked Her Life to Ensure the Charleston Shooting Suspect’s Capture”, originally posted HERE)

‘Ultimate Survival Alaska’ Reality Star Found Shot Dead [+video]

1430926377_1stAn outdoorsman and past character on National Geographic’s reality show “Ultimate Survival Alaska” has been found shot dead, and Alaska State Troopers were investigating the case as a homicide.

Officers responded to 69-year-old Jimmy Gojdics’ residence in Fox Sunday to find the victim with gunshot wounds, the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported. Gojdics was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Gojdics sometimes spelled his last name Gaydos, the way it’s pronounced and the name he was known as in “Ultimate Survival.” National Geographic Channel’s website says he had worked as a fisherman, horse wrangler, blacksmith, forest service firefighter, river guide and wilderness guide.

“Jimmy Gaydos… appeared on the second season of National Geographic Channel’s series ‘Ultimate Survival Alaska,’ airing in 2014,” a network rep said in a statement sent to FOX411. “Mr. Gaydos appeared in the first three episodes of the second season but sustained an injury that made it impossible for his team to continue in the competition. We were saddened to learn of Mr. Gaydos’s untimely passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time.” (Read more from “‘Ultimate Survival Alaska’ Reality Star Found Shot Dead” HERE)
