Is Trump Committing an Unforced Error Here?

President Donald J. Trump has had enough with one Republican congressman: Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is someone the president wants jettisoned from Congress. Massie has usually been the lone rebel on a host of GOP-led legislation. Some of his reasons are not out of line; he’s sticking with his principles. Yet, Massie’s opposition to the six-month continuing resolution Trump and the GOP leadership want passed to prevent a government shutdown and not disrupt the budget reconciliation process, deporting illegal aliens, rebuilding our military, and the work done by the Department of Government Efficiency led to the president threatening the Kentucky Republican with a primary threat:

Thank you to the House Freedom Caucus for just delivering a big blow to the Radical Left Democrats and their desire to raise Taxes and SHUT OUR COUNTRY DOWN! They hate America and all it stands for. That’s why they allowed MILLIONS of Criminals to invade our Nation. Sometimes it takes great courage to do the right thing. Congressman Thomas Massie, of beautiful Kentucky, is an automatic “NO” vote on just about everything, despite the fact that he has always voted for Continuing Resolutions in the past. HE SHOULD BE PRIMARIED, and I will lead the charge against him. He’s just another GRANDSTANDER, who’s too much trouble, and not worth the fight. He reminds me of Liz Chaney before her historic, record breaking fall (loss!). The people of Kentucky won’t stand for it, just watch. DO I HAVE ANY TAKERS??? Anyway, thank you again to the House Freedom Caucus for your very important vote. We need to buy some time in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE. Unite and Win!!!

GOP Lawmakers Demand Release of $17M ‘Congressional Sexual Slush Fund List’

Reps. Thomas Massie and Marjorie Taylor Greene called on Congress Thursday to release the names of current and former members on a secret list of lawmakers that have used taxpayer money to settle sexual harassment claims.

“Congress has secretly paid out more than $17 million of your money to quietly settle charges of harassment (sexual and other forms) in Congressional offices,” Massie (R-Ky.) wrote on X.

“Don’t you think we should release the names of the Representatives? I do,” he added.

Massie’s suggestion was quickly endorsed by Greene (R-Ga.).

“Yes. I want to release the congressional sexual slush fund list,” the congresswoman wrote on X.

Thomas Massie Removed From Powerful House Rules Committee

Rep. Thomas Massie, one of the most outspoken critics of House Speaker Mike Johnson, is off the powerful House Rules Committee, which plays a critical role in the functioning of the lower chamber of Congress.

Massie (R-Ky.), the lone Republican to vote against Johnson’s (R-La.) speakership bid on Jan. 3, revealed in December that he had offered to step down from the panel in the 119th Congress — and told Punchbowl News Johnson was “thinking” about obliging.

During the last Congress, Massie had been one of three Republicans — along with Freedom Caucus Reps. Ralph Norman (R-SC) and Chip Roy (R-Texas) — who often gave leadership headaches.

All three were put on the Rules Committee as part of a deal made by then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) in 2023 during his protracted battle for the gavel.

The Rules Committee determines the parameters for considering each piece of legislation, setting out the restrictions on debate and amendments. (Read more from “Thomas Massie Removed From Powerful House Rules Committee” HERE)

Congressman Massie Comes Up With Plan to Spring Bannon and Navarro From the Regime Gulag

As the Biden regime ramps up its chaotic and unjust lawfare, locking up its political enemies at a pace that would impress Kim Jong-Un mid-cheese-bite, Congressman Thomas Massie has proposed a way to curb some of this recent lawlessness. Massie suggests that the GOP could free Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro with a House resolution to rescind the subpoena and disavow the J6 Committee. The ball is now in Speaker Mike Johnson’s court—not exactly reassuring, right?

“Why don’t we rescind the Congressional subpoena for Steve Bannon and officially repudiate the J6 committee by a vote of Congress?” This move sounds straightforward enough and would be a significant win for the Republicans. . .

So, the big question is this: will the GOP actually heed Congressman Massie’s advice and vote to declare the sham subpoenas against Bannon and Navarro illegitimate? No, of course they won’t. We’re being led by a compromised Deep State operative, Mike Johnson, and the majority of Republican lawmakers are either secretly bought and paid for by the left or are willing participants of the uniparty. But let it be noted that the GOP has options to stop this unjust madness, and they won’t.

Rep. Thomas Massie to Speaker Mike Johnson: “Announce Your Resignation, You’re a Goner”

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., said Tuesday he is co-sponsoring a motion by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., to vacate Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., urging him to “pre-announce his resignation.”

“You’re not going to be the speaker much longer,” Massie told Johnson in front of a closed-door meeting of the entire Republican conference, Politico and Punchbowl News reported.

According to Punchbowl, Massie told Johnson he “should clean the barn and resign or else he’ll be vacated.” . . .

“I just told Mike Johnson in conference that I’m cosponsoring the Motion to Vacate that was introduced by @RepMTG. He should pre-announce his resignation (as Boehner did), so we can pick a new Speaker without ever being without a GOP Speaker,” Massie posted.

Massie’s public display drew boos and catcalls from the majority of the GOP conference, Politico and Axios reported. Massie is the first House Republican to publicly back Greene’s ouster of Johnson since her letter of discontent was sent to the conference last week.

WATCH: Things Turn Extremely Weird When Massie Corners Wray About the Elusive DNC Pipe Bomb…

A recent interaction between Rep. Massie and the discredited FBI Director Chris Wray has drawn a lot of attention due to Wray’s bizarre behavior when Massie cornered him on the sketchy DNC pipe bomb story. As you’re probably aware by now, the FBI’s DNC pipe bomb narrative doesn’t make sense, and when questioned about the numerous inconsistencies, the feds act extremely strangely and clam up. Consequently, the pipe bomb story piqued our interest early on. Revolver’s own Darren Beattie and his team were responsible for bringing the elusive pipe bomb story into the mainstream conversation through their top-notch investigative reporting. In fact, Thomas Massie sought out Darren for guidance before questioning the FBI whistleblowers on this very topic. . .

So many aspects of this story just don’t “jibe.” So, when Massie confronted Wray about it, the tension in the room was palpable. Here’s what went down between the two men (Columbia Bugle):

FBI Director Christopher Wray Refuses To Answer @RepThomasMassie’s Questions About The January 6th Pipe Bombs, The Bizarre Circumstances Surrounding Their Discovery And The Missing Phone Data That Could Have Helped Identify The Bomber

Rep. Massie and Rep. @Jim_Jordan sent Director Wray a letter a month ago demanding answers about the pipe bomber after testimony by the Former Head of the FBI January Pipe Bomb Investigation Steven D’Antuono revealed that geofencing data that could have helped to identify the January pipe bomber was mysteriously “CORRUPTED”.

Rep. Massie: “We can handle classified information and we fund your department so you need to provide that.”

The Christmas Photo That Caused Liberal America to Fully Meltdown

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) has set liberal America aflame with a simple Christmas photo of his family. They all posed with firearms. Does this warrant a special counsel investigation? Does this mean the FBI should raid the home? Nope. It just makes the Left upset because it’s something they find abhorrent. It’s funny. The party that loves to stay out of people’s business, and who make that point when it comes to killing babies, are sure concerned about what happens in the privacy of Congressman Massie’s home. CNN wasted time on this, saying how it was insensitive given the recent shooting in Michigan. Oh, and it doesn’t convey the message of peace on Earth. It was a nauseating lecture that no one wants to hear, especially from the network that keeps a dude who masturbated in front of others on a Zoom call employed. Yet, if you search Thomas Massie on Google, he sure did trigger a meltdown (via WaPo):

Critics disparaged Massie’s post as insensitive and tone deaf at best, and spiteful and irresponsible at worst, while supporters said the photo in itself doesn’t bear any connection to the shooting in Michigan.

“I’m pro second amendment, but this isn’t supporting right to keep and bear arms, this is a gun fetish,” Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), who has frequently broken ranks with his fellow Republicans, wrote on Twitter.

Jewish GOP Group Targets Congress’s Strongest Constitutionalist For Defeat

The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) — specifically its political action committee — has had it with Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky. And he’s a Republican.

Massie infuriated both his own party and US Democrats last week by exercising a procedural motion that might have delayed the vote on the $2 trillion stimulus in the wake of the economic devastation wrought by the coronavirus pandemic. US President Donald Trump, a Republican, called Massie a “third-rate grandstander.”

Now the RJC said it will be backing Massie’s opponent in the Republican primary, which is scheduled for June 23, coronavirus willing. It’s a rare foray for a group that usually focuses on Democrats, plus partisan Jewish groups rarely get involved in primaries.

“After Rep. Massie recklessly decided to hold up the stimulus bill designed to help Americans who are struggling because of the coronavirus, the RJC PAC has decided to endorse and fund-raise for his GOP primary opponent, Todd McMurtry, and the RJC will be activating its nationwide team of volunteers to contact voters in the 4th congressional district of Kentucky to explain why it is so important to support McMurtry,” the group said in a news release last week.

Massie insisted that Congress adhere to a rule that a majority of House members are present to do business. Most members had returned home in order to avoid contracting or spreading the coronavirus.
