‘Detransitioners’ Come Out Against Sex Change Procedures and Gender Ideology

Young women who regretted undergoing sex changes in their adolescent years spoke about their experiences and the adults who allowed them to transition in a Tuesday Substack article by Suzy Weiss.

The women, sometimes referred to as “detransitioners,” were given extreme biomedical interventions ranging from hormones and puberty blockers to double mastectomies in adolescence to relieve their gender dysphoria, according to the article. Several blamed the adults in their lives for failing them.

Helena Kerschner, who began identifying as transgender at age 15, said she had mental health issues that went unaddressed until school counselors began encouraging her to transition, she told Weiss. . .

Days after turning 18, Kerschner drove to Chicago from her hometown of Cincinnati, spoke with a social worker and was prescribed testosterone by a nurse practitioner without ever seeing a doctor, she told Weiss. She convinced the nurse practitioner, who initially recommended 25 milligrams weekly, to prescribe her 100 milligrams.

Parents: School Carried Out Secret Gender Transitions on Children

Parents in Massachusetts are suing their kids’ school alleging that teachers and staff encouraged students to change their pronouns and names without parents’ knowledge or consent.

According to the lawsuit, parents claim that Ludlow Public Schools had a “protocol and practice of concealing from parents information related to their children’s gender identity” in middle school.

“[Efforts] to affirm a discordant student gender identity at school violates parents’ fundamental rights under the United States and Massachusetts constitutions and violates children’s reciprocal rights to the care and custody of their parents, familial privacy, and integrity,” the lawsuit reads. It was filed in a Massachusetts federal district court.

In the lawsuit, parents Stephen Foote and Marissa Silvestri claim that a teacher at the school shared concerns that their 11-year-old daughter, “B.F.,” was struggling with self-image and had low self-esteem. Silvestri was “grateful” the teacher had contacted her. The parents then sent an email to the school asking employees to refrain from private conversations with their daughter and explaining they would get her the help she needs. The parents believe the school disregarded their instructions.

In the lawsuit, Foote and Silverstri claim that their daughter “changed her preferred name at least twice since December 2020 without Plaintiff’s knowledge or consent, and to this date they [school staff] continue to address B.F. by whatever iteration of her name she has indicated she prefers.” (Read more from “Parents: School Carried Out Secret Gender Transitions on Children” HERE)

OUTRAGE: United States Air Force Offering Benefits to LGBTQ Families Affected by States that Pass “Don’t Say Gay” Bills

In an incredibly unusual move, the Air Force is making a point to let its hundreds of thousands of personnel know that it will provide families with medical and legal help if they are personally affected by new state laws attacking gay and transgender children.

And if those service members feel they need to leave those states entirely, for the sake of their kids’ mental or physical health, the Air Force will help them to do that, too.

The Air Force is the only branch of the U.S. military doing this. Its leaders informed personnel late last month, both internally and in a press release, that they have several resources available to them if they need help navigating anti-LGBTQ state laws that may be hurting their families.

Specifically, Air Force leadership is telling service members that military medical facilities are available to provide mental health support to them or their children if they need it in the wake of new laws in states like Florida, where schools are banned from talking about gender identity or sexual orientation, or Texas, where the governor is ordering state officials to investigate parents of transgender children for child abuse.

They’re also telling service members that military legal personnel are available to provide free counsel to families trying to understand their legal protections in states targeting gay and transgender kids. Women’s Prison Inmates Pregnant After Sex With Transgender Prisoner

Two inmates serving time in New Jersey’s only state prison for women became pregnant after they had sex with a transgender inmate, according to a report Wednesday.

The unidentified jailbirds became pregnant at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility after engaging in “consensual sexual relationships with another incarcerated person,” the state Department of Corrections told NJ.com.

In 2021, New Jersey enacted a policy to allow prisoners to be housed in accordance with their preferred gender identity.

The policy was part of a settlement from a civil rights suit brought by a woman forced to live in men’s prisons for 18 months.

There are more than 800 prisoners, including 27 transgender women, at the Jersey correctional facility, which does not require trans women to undergo gender reassignment surgery in order to be housed there. (Read more from “Women’s Prison Inmates Pregnant After Sex With Transgender Prisoner” HERE)

I Hated Dresses as a Girl. Thank God My Parents Didn’t Deform and Sterilize Me for It

Growing up, I was a tomboy through and through. . .

It’s natural for children, especially young girls, to feel uncomfortable in their own skin. After all, young women around the globe are subject to hordes of propaganda telling them how they should look, vote, act, and think.

What’s not normal is to medicate, sterilize, or bind children who express even the slightest discomfort with their growing bodies or have an abhorrence to skirts. These “gender” experiments often lead to dangerous, permanent problems such as “sexual dysfunction, infertility, cardiac event, endometrial cancer,” and even transition regret. That hasn’t stopped a rise in harmful pediatric sex procedures that transfigure faces, chests, and even genitalia.

Most of the children enduring these reckless procedures are too young to drive, and all of them are deemed too underdeveloped by the government to drink alcohol, yet they are somehow eligible to be pumped with chemicals that alter their very being.

“The evidence underlying the practice of pediatric gender transition is widely recognized to be of very low quality” a recent article in the Journal of Sex and Marital Therapy noted, but that hasn’t stopped the promotion of it in society. As Abigail Shrier noted after White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said mutilating children is “a best practice and potentially lifesaving,” “America has essentially become an unlocked medicine cabinet for gender medicine seekers as young as 15.”

Transgender Patient Regrets Sex Change Surgery Nearly Thirty Years Later

Corinna Cohn, a biological male who had sex change surgery at 19 years old, described the regret that came decades later in a Washington Post opinion article Monday.

Anxiety, depression and same-sex attraction drove Cohn to undergo irreversible surgery early in life, according to the article. Cohn later felt regret about losing the ability to have children, becoming permanently dependent on medication and taking on health risks related to cross-sex hormones and reduced testosterone.

“As a teenager, I was repelled by the thought of having biological children,” Cohn wrote. “Years later, I was surprised by the pangs I felt as my friends and younger sister started families of their own.”

Young people are now able to get sex change surgeries quickly and without intensive psychological evaluations, Cohn explained, especially in light of professional pressure to “affirm” gender-confused young people through medical procedures.

A teacher at a Boston-area charter school revealed to young children she identifies as a male and claimed that when babies are born, doctors can only “guess” if the baby is a boy or a girl, but “sometimes the doctor is wrong.”

Ray Skyler, a first grade teacher at Brooke Roslindale School who told four- and five-year-olds she is transgender, presented her sexual identity to the children on an “Identity Share” Zoom call consisting of kindergartners, first graders, and second graders.

Sarah Hammond, the school’s assistant principal, opened the floor to Skyler for her “I am” statement, telling the children, “Remember: Your job during the Identity Share is to be listening really carefully so that you can learn something new about Mr. Skyer.”

“So something that’s really cool and unique about who I am is that I am transgender,” Skyler, who is a female identifying as a male, said. [Emphasis added] “So when babies are born, the doctor looks at them and they make a guess about whether the baby is a boy or girl based on what they look like. Most of the time that guess is 100% correct; there are no issues whatsoever, but sometimes the doctor is wrong; the doctor makes an incorrect guess.” . . .

Disney Co-Founder’s Great Grandchild Comes Out as Trans

The great grandchild of the late Roy Disney, who co-founded Disney with his younger brother Walt, has come out as transgender and is going on the attack against Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law.

Charlee Corra had identified as gay for more than a decade, but in 2018 at 30 years of age, the high school teacher and Disney Heiress identified as trans.

Corra told the Los Angeles Times of regret over past inaction on LGBTQ causes.

“I feel like I don’t do very much to help. I don’t call senators or take action. I felt like I could be doing more,” Corra said.

Corra announced a $250,000 matching grant to Human Rights Campaign (HRC) at the group’s annual banquet in Los Angeles in March. The grant has been echoed by Charlee’s father, Roy P. British Cycling Bans All Transgender Athletes Following Controversy

The British Cycling Board of Directors voted in favor of suspending its transgender athlete policy, which previously gave an option for biological male transgender athletes to compete against women. This move comes after biological male cyclist “Emily” Bridges was barred from competing in a women’s race last weekend.

As Townhall covered, Bridges, 21, was cut from competing in the women’s British National Omnium Championship on Saturday. Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the governing body of the sport, told British Cycling that Bridges was not eligible to participate. Reportedly, Bridges had also begun hormone therapy treatment last year.

A report from BBC noted that there were discussions among female athletes to boycott the race to protest Bridges’ involvement.

After the race, Bridges issued a statement saying “I have provided both British Cycling and the UCI with medical evidence that I meet the eligibility criteria for transgender female cyclists, including that my testosterone limit has been far below the limit prescribed by the regulations for the last 12 months.”

On Friday, British Cycling issued a statement that the organization would suspend transgender athletes from competing for time being.

Biden Administration Will Hold States ‘Accountable’ for Outlawing ‘Life-Saving’ Sex Change Surgeries for Kids

White House press secretary Jen Psaki warned Thursday that the Department of Justice (DOJ) will hold states “accountable” for outlawing sex reassignment surgeries to minors.

The Alabama legislature passed legislation Thursday criminalizing gender reassignment and other related procedures for minors, including puberty blockers and hormone treatments, with a threat of up to 10 years imprisonment, according to Reuters. The press secretary said Alabama’s legislation, which awaits passage by the governor, is intended to “harm kids.”

“Republican elected officials are engaging in a disturbing, cynical trend of attacking vulnerable, transgender kids for purely partisan, political reasons,” the press secretary said. “Today in Alabama, instead of focusing on critical kitchen table issues, like the economy, COVID, or addressing the country’s mental health crisis, Republican lawmakers are currently debating legislation that among many things, will target trans youth with tactics that threaten to put pediatricians in prison if they provide medically necessary, life-saving healthcare for the kids they serve.”

The press secretary also announced that “lawmakers and other legislators who are contemplating these discriminatory bills have been put on notice by the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)” and said that outlawing sex reassignment, puberty blockers and hormone treatments for children by medical professionals “may violate the Constitution and federal law.” (Read more from “Biden Administration Will Hold States ‘Accountable’ for Outlawing ‘Life-Saving’ Sex Change Surgeries for Kids” HERE)
