Watch: Twitter CEO Makes Stunning Admission of Bias During Interview

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey admitted during an interview with CNN reporter Brian Stelter that Twitter has a “left-leaning” bias, suggested that they do “shadow ban” people, and said that he has not done enough to implement his own “personal objectives” at Twitter.

The interview, set to air on Sunday, comes as the San Francisco based social media company is coming under intense fire over well-documented allegations of bias against Republicans and conservatives.

“Are we doing something according to political ideology or viewpoints? We are not. Period,” Dorsey claimed during the interview, which took place on Friday. “We do not look at content with regards to political viewpoint or ideology. We look at behavior.”

But he went on to say that the social media company needs to remove bias from its service.

Look Who We Caught Running a Secret Influence Campaign Right Here in the U.S.

Iranian nationals are impersonating Americans online to demonize Indian immigrants as part of a lobbying campaign against proposed legislation in the House of Representatives, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation has found.

Using Twitter usernames that read like foreign stereotypes of American names, they tweet obsessively at reporters and high-profile political figures about the threats they say Indian immigrants pose to America.

They aim to defeat an amendment to the 2019 Homeland Security Appropriations Bill that would lift the per-country cap on employment-based green cards. The amendment is based on a previously introduced bill, H.R. 392, which had broad bipartisan support.

The per-country cap is currently set at seven percent of the annual limit of the approximately 140,000 green cards the U.S. hands out, creating long lines for certain foreign nationals working on H-1B visas and other non-immigrant visa programs to adjust their immigrant status. . .

One of the groups has more than 5,000 members and was formed to resist President Donald Trump’s travel ban, which included Iran in its list of targeted countries. Another, with more than 2,000 members, is an offshoot of that group, focusing specifically on lobbying against the bill.

Maxine Waters Gets Her Wish: Antifa Mob ATTACKS Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens

Two of Turning Point USA’s leaders were accosted by protesters they say were Antifa in Philadelphia Monday morning, according to videos posted to Twitter.

Turning Point USA communications director Candace Owens tweeted a video saying she and Charlie Kirk, the organization’s founder and president, were “ATTACKED” and protested while they were eating breakfast in Philadelphia, Penn.

In the video, one person dumps a glass of water on Kirk. Antifa can be heard screaming “f*ck white supremacy.” In a follow-up video posted by Owens, they chant “1-2-3, f*ck the bourgeois!”

“This is the face of the Democrats,” Kirk tweeted, saying Antifa issued death threats against him and Owens. He added that “conservatives aren’t safe” and pointed out these are exactly the kind of tactics Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., called for leftist activists to employ against members of the Trump administration and conservatives.

“If you think we’re rallying now you ain’t seen nothing yet,” Waters said at a rally in Los Angeles in June. “If you see anybody from that [Trump] Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” (For more from the author of “Maxine Waters Gets Her Wish: Antifa Mob Attacks Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens” please click HERE)

Twitter Has Been Shadow Banning Conservatives, but Not Liberals — Here’s What That Means

By The Blaze. Some conservatives have had their reach and accessibility limited on Twitter, whereas their liberal Democrat counterparts have not been impacted on the platform, a Vice News investigation has revealed.

Type the names of certain conservative figures in the search bar, such as Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), for example, and the profile doesn’t automatically appear in the drop down results like most public figures do.

“The notion that social media companies would suppress certain political points of view should concern every American,” Republican Party chair Ronna McDaniel told VICE News. “Twitter owes the public answers to what’s really going on.” . . .

Vice News, in order to test this problem for potential political bias, searched the names of numerous Democrats — Democratic Party chair Tom Perez, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), the entire 78-member Progressive caucus — and none of them appeared to be limited like the Republicans Vice tested.

The relationship between conservatives and social media has been fraught with accusations of bias recently. Conservatives in Congress have repeatedly demanded transparency from Facebook and Twitter about how the sites filter news and user accounts, but the processes are still somewhat unclear. 72 Percent of Americans Say Facebook and Twitter Actively Censor Political Views

By Fortune. Fake news, Russian trolls, and other daily hazards of social media are not only affecting how many Americans have come to view the world, they seem to be affecting how they view social media itself.

A Pew Research survey released Thursday found that 72% of Americans believe that social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter actively censor political views that they find objectionable. Fully 85% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents thought that the platforms intentionally censored political viewpoints, while 62% of Democrat and Democrat-leaning independents believed so.

Republicans were also more likely to say that major technology companies as a whole support the views of liberals over conservatives, with 64% agreeing with that statement. Only 16% of Democrats felt that tech companies supported conservative views more, while 53% of them said that both liberal and conservative views are supported equally. Twitter Removes Inactive and Locked Accounts. Guess Whose Follower Count Is Hardest Hit.

This week Twitter removed inactive and locked accounts from follower counts, and the third-most followed person on Twitter took a two-million person hit.

That person was former president Barack Obama, who boasted 104 million Twitter followers before the crackdown, but saw his number drop to roughly 101 million followers as of Thursday, according to The Hill.

Obama trails Katy Perry, who has roughly 107 million followers, and Justin Bieber, who has roughly 104 million. Obama is followed by Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Ellen Degeneres and Christiano Ronaldo. President Trump ranks 18th, with 53 million followers.

[Via Twitter:]

Over the years, we’ve locked accounts when we detected sudden changes in account behavior. In these situations, we reach out to the owners of the accounts and unless they validate the account and reset their passwords, we keep them locked with no ability to log in. This week, we’ll be removing these locked accounts from follower counts across profiles globally. As a result, the number of followers displayed on many profiles may go down. …

If we detect sudden changes in account behavior, we may lock the account and contact the owner to confirm they still have control of it. These sudden changes in account behavior could include Tweeting a large volume of unsolicited replies or mentions, Tweeting misleading links, or if a large number of accounts block the account after mentioning them. We sometimes lock an account if we see email and password combinations from other services posted online and believe that information could put the security of an account at risk — so we require accounts to change of their passwords for protection. Until we confirm that everything is ok with the account, we lock it, which makes them unable to Tweet or see ads.

Collusion: Twitter CEO Found Sharing Russian Propaganda

. . .Now, you can add “The Emperor’s New Clothes” to the list of cautionary tales that Twitter is emulating. Even after the company claimed to be on a crusade against so-called “trolls” and inaccurate news sources, it’s CEO was just revealed to be spreading the same “fake news” he pretends to be against.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey shared over a dozen tweets around the time of the presidential election which originated from an account that investigators now know to be part of a Russian trolling operation.

Dorsey “between late 2016 and mid-2017 shared at least 17 tweets from a Russian troll who went by Crystal1Johnson on Twitter, the Journal’s analysis found,” the respected newspaper stated.

“The tweets from the Russian account that Mr. Dorsey shared touched on topics including Bob Marley’s son converting a prison into a place to grow marijuana and former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who first sparked the anthem controversy to make a statement on the treatment of African-Americans in the U.S.,” The Wall Street Journal continued.

While Dorsey did not originate the “fake news” tweets, he willingly shared them, despite the fact that they were from unconfirmed news sources known to be connected to the Internet Research Agency, a Russian propaganda effort. (Read more from “Twitter CEO Found Sharing Russian Propaganda” HERE)

Comey’s Latest Post Triggers Concerns He’s Preparing an Insanity Defense, and a 2020 Run?

An odd photo that disgraced former FBI Director James Comey posted to Twitter on Saturday triggered concerns that he might be planning a presidential run in 2020.

The photo depicted Comey standing in the middle of a cornfield field in Iowa, a state that tends to attract a lot of presidential contenders because it holds the first contest of the presidential primary season.

. . .

The photo Comey tweeted from Iowa over the weekend was actually his second one. He had tweeted his first Iowa photo a day earlier.

So is he planning a run for the presidency or what? Most likely not. As noted by CNN contributor Susan Hennessey in a tweet Saturday, the former FBI director’s in-laws live in Iowa, ergo why he vacations there from time to time:

Diamond and Silk Attack ABC, Call out Establishment Media’s Double Standard

As many in the liberal media use the racist joke posted on Twitter by Roseanne Barr as “proof” of how it reflects the racist attitude of supporters of President Donald Trump, black conservative vloggers Diamond & Silk — whose real names are Lynette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson — are fighting back against those stereotypes.

The duo is also calling out ABC and others for what they perceive as a double standard in how Barr was treated.

In appearances on multiple Fox News programs Wednesday and Thursday, the sisters called Barr’s tweet — which suggested former Obama White House adviser Valerie Jarrett is the offspring of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Planet of the Apes — a “mistake” that reflected “bad judgment” on the part of the comedian.

But they said a bad attempt at humor should not result in someone being branded as a racist.

“Roseanne, she is not a racist. She made bad judgment. She apologized for it,” Diamond pointed out.

“One tweet don’t make you a racist,” added Silk.

Barr herself tweeted her appreciation for the women’s comments.

Diamond and Silk were also upset by a tweet from MSNBC host Chris Hayes, who claimed Barr’s controversial comment was representative of the attitude of many Trump supporters.

“That’s not the representation of the Trump base,” Diamond said. “We’re loving, caring people. We’re not racists. We love God, we love this country, so how dare he say that.”

“We’re not racists,” Silk added. “Our president is not racist, he is a realist and the only color he sees is green, and he wants everybody to have some.”
Diamond and Silk also claim there’s a double standard in effect, noting that former MSNBC host and current ESPN commentator Keith Olbermann often uses profanity in his tweets criticizing Trump and his supporters.

“We had to block Keith Olbermann on Twitter because he’s so nasty,” Diamond said.

They also noted how ABC tolerates personalities like Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Jimmy Kimmel making insulting remarks about Trump and his supporters on a daily basis.

“Look at all the other shows on ABC that make these derogatory racist remarks toward the president of the United States, toward his supporters,” Diamond said. “They’re still on air every single day.”

The sisters also criticized the black community for calling out whites for racist remarks, but tolerating racism from their own side.

“If this is a teachable moment, open it up. If we’re going to talk about racism, let’s talk about it on both sides,” Diamond said. “We’re called monkeys, we’re called coons and all kind of derogatory names every day. Everybody want to be mad at Roseanne who happens to be a white woman, and you want to call her a racist. What about the racism on the other side? We have black brothers and sisters calling other black brothers and sisters all kinds of derogatory names.

“If we’re going to have a conversation (about racism), let’s tell the truth … and not just be one sided.” (For more from the author of “Diamond and Silk Attack ABC, Call out Establishment Media’s Double Standard” HERE)

Twitter Is Banning Conservatives for Posting Facts

Although Congress has focused on Facebook’s alleged censorship in recent weeks, Twitter continues to engage in mass bans of conservatives with little outside scrutiny. Increasingly, these bans come after users post “hate facts” — statements that are factually true, but politically inconvenient for progressives.

The most high-profile individual to be banned on this basis was Islam critic Tommy Robinson, who received a permanent ban from Twitter after he posted statistics showing that Muslims are vastly overrepresented in child grooming gangs in the U.K. Robinson is now taking Twitter to court to prove that “facts are now treated as hate.”

The censorship of British accounts is tied to increasing pressure from European governments for social media platforms to censor their users. Robinson claims that 10,000 Twitter accounts have been closed at the request of the U.K. government over alleged “hate.”

There are now concerns that the accounts of American users are also being shut down at the request of European governments. Nick Monroe, an independent journalist based in America, says he was banned from the platform after he began an investigation of Tell MAMA, an “anti-Islamophobia” organization based in the U.K.

The Home Affairs Select Committee, made up of lawmakers from all British political parties, has previously pressured Twitter into suspending accounts accused of “Islamophobia” by Tell MAMA. Faith Matters, the group that runs Tell MAMA, has previously provided evidence to the committee, and has been referenced during committee discussions of online “hate speech.” (Read more from “Twitter Is Banning Conservatives for Posting Facts” HERE)
