MELTDOWN: President Trump and Kanye West Send Twitter into a Frenzy

On Wednesday, Twitter erupted over a series of tweets from President Donald Trump and rapper Kanye West as the two men showed their respect for one another on the social media platform.

Kanye tweeted: “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”

Kanye then tweeted a photo of himself on a poster that said, “Keep America Great. #KANYE2024.” The term “Keep America Great” is the campaign slogan for Trump’s 2020 campaign.

Trump Mocked for ‘Mission Accomplished!’ Tweet

By CNN. The Twittersphere piled on President Donald Trump after he tweeted Saturday that the US-led strikes on Syria “could not have had a better result.”

“Mission Accomplished!” he wrote of the US, UK and French strikes against targets in Syria over the suspected use of chemical weapons.

Twitter users immediately saw a connection to comments from President George W. Bush in 2003 when he gave a speech announcing an end to major combat operations in Iraq with a massive banner behind him that read, “Mission Accomplished.”

Bush gave his speech aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier a little more than a month after US troops were deployed to Iraq, and it would soon become clear that the mission was, in fact, not accomplished. As the war dragged on, it came to symbolize what had gone wrong in Iraq.

Russia Claims Syria Air Defenses Shot Down 71 of 103 Missiles

By The Guardian. The Russian military has claimed that the Syrian air defences, whose most modern weapon is a three-decades-old Russian-supplied anti-aircraft system, shot down 71 of 103 missiles fired by the US and its allies, the UK and France, a claim denied by the Pentagon.

As further details began to emerge about the sites targeted by the US-led strikes, Col Gen Sergei Rudskoi of the Russian military said the strikes had not caused any casualties and that Syrian military facilities suffered only minor damage.

It was not possible to verify the claims. The most up-to-date system that Moscow has supplied to the Syrian regime is the short range Pantsir S-1, which has an anti-missile capability.

Russia said its advisers had spent the last 18 months completely rebuilding the Syrian air defence system, and said the high number of intercepted rockets spoke to “the high effectiveness of the weaponry in Syria and the excellent training of Syrian servicemen prepared by our specialists”. Twitter CEO Calls for Civil War Against Republicans

By The Daily Caller. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey aroused controversy after labeling a Medium article “great” that claimed there’s no “bipartisan way forward” in the United States and that the country is engaged in a “fundamental conflict between two worldviews that must be resolved in short order.”

Dorsey shared the Medium article on his personal Twitter account Thursday night, with the accompanying acclaim that it was a “great read.”

Author and media consultant Peter Leyden and political commentator Ruy Teixeira argued in the article titled “The Great Lesson of California in America’s New Civil War” that America is already in the midst of a second major domestic conflict of sorts and the way out is for the rest of the country to imitate California.

“In this current period of American politics, at this juncture in our history, there’s no way that a bipartisan path provides the way forward,” they wrote. “The way forward is on the path California blazed about 15 years ago.”

Essentially, the authors called for a complete marginalization of the Republican Party and its voters since they only care “about rule by and for billionaires at the expense of working people” and not “average citizens.” (Read more from “Twitter CEO Calls for Civil War Against Republicans” HERE)

Wait–Did Twitter’s CEO Just Share a Post Calling for ‘Civil War,’ Wiping out the GOP, and How We Should Be Like CA?

By Townhall. Well, if there were any lingering doubts about Twitter’s perceived bias against conservatives, look no further than what CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted out last night. Apparently, a “good read” is a post co-written by a Center for American Progress senior fellow that calls for “civil war,” the destruction of the GOP, and the adoption of how California runs everything from sea to shining sea. Yeah, bipartisanship is dead, so mob rule is what’s needed. Now, to be fair, the “civil war” will be won at the ballot box and demographic shifts, namely through the so-called emerging Democratic majority, but the overall theme is quite explicit: conservative Republicans are not welcome until they reform. In other words, until they break to the power of progressivism. First, if California’s politics is the future of the country, I’d rather chug bleach.

Second, the whole post, which was written by Ruy Teixeira and Peter Leyden on Medium, is what you’d expect from the coastal elite. They say the tax bill is not popular; it is. Even BET’s founder said the bill has helped bring black workers back into the work force. Over 250 companies have doled out bonuses to their workers. Over three million workers have benefitted from this legislation. It’s a tax cut for the middle/working classes of America that Democrats universally opposed.

In all, the post notes the similarities between our first civil war and this one. We had two separate Americas. Two separate economic models in each sphere. Trump is apparently the harbinger of the GOP’s doom. How many times have people said this only to be proven incorrect? Remember when (now) two-time presidential loser Hillary Rodham Clinton was supposed to win 2016 in a landslide? Also the post cites California as the basis for this GOP collapse argument. California Republicans are a different breed; they’re not really conservative. It’s a deep-blue state. Are we shocked that the GOP doesn’t do well in such environments. And Arnold Schwarzenegger is hardly a prime example of those leading the conservative movement, though Terminator and Predator are some of my favorite movies of all time.

EPIC FAIL: Parkland Student Makes Most False Statement Ever About Second Amendment

On Tuesday, a student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School made one of the most factually false statements about the Second Amendment in the history of Twitter, which ignited the social media platform into a firestorm.

In a tweet, far-left activist Cameron Kasky claimed: “The first amendment has restrictions. The second amendment has no restrictions. These weapons are not in the hands of “well-regulated” militias. The changes the people are demanding do not desecrate the second amendment, they just make it a safe addition to our constitution.”

Here are just some of the regulations that limit the scope of the Second Amendment

National Firearms Act (NFA) – “The importation of certain firearms, including but not limited to, machineguns, silencers, certain weapons made from rifles or shotguns, and destructive devices is also restricted under the National Firearms Act (NFA). 26 U.S.C. § 5844.”

Arms Export Control Act of 1976 (AECA) – “The importation of certain defense articles to include certain firearms, firearms parts, ammunition and certain other military equipment is subject to the provisions of the Arms Export Control Act of 1976 (AECA). 22 U.S.C. § 2778.”

Exposed: Twitter Promotes Culture of Death, Targets Pro-Life Posts

Conservative writer Devin Sena tweeted a picture Saturday of a healthy unborn baby with the caption: “This is a human.” He added the hashtag “TriggerALiberalIn4Words.”

Twitter chose to suppress the factually accurate tweet as “sensitive material” and warned certain users before they saw it

“Upon review, we have determined that the media is potentially sensitive and have labeled it accordingly. There will now be a click-through warning message over the media for users whose accounts are set so they are informed before viewing media that may be sensitive,” Twitter said in an email to Sena that was reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

The email warned that all of Sena’s future tweets could be permanently suppressed in a similar manner if he didn’t self-censor in the future.

Twitter has consistently censored pro-lifers who use the platform to raise awareness on behalf of unborn babies.

The tech giant last month barred pro-life group Human Coalition from advertising three pro-life tweets.

Twitter removed the three Human Coalition ads just three hours after they went up, the group said. Human Coalition re-submitted the three ads to Twitter on Monday.

They have yet to be approved.

Other pro-life groups have battled similar suppression from Twitter, which did not return TheDCNF’s request for comment.

Pro-life group Live Action cried foul in 2017 after Twitter demanded it to delete pro-life images, such as fetal ultrasounds, from its Twitter feed and website before allowing the group to run advertisements. Live Action refused the request.

Another pro-life group, the Susan B. Anthony List, was barred in October from running a video advertisement because it used the phrase “killing babies” to refer to abortion.

“No advertiser is permitted to use the phrase ‘killing babies,’” Twitter told the group.

That same month, Twitter blocked an advertisement by Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn’s campaign for Senate in Tennessee.

Twitter objected to one line Blackburn said: “I’m 100% pro-life. I fought Planned Parenthood, and we stopped the sale of baby body parts –thank God.”

The tech giant demanded that Blackburn remove the reference to Planned Parenthood selling baby parts, but she refused and went on the offensive instead, demanding Twitter apologize for censoring her.

Twitter reversed course after the ensuing backlash and allowed Blackburn to run the ad.

Blackburn’s experience suggests conservatives might — with enough pressure — be able to shame Twitter into softening its censorship of pro-life messages.

Alert: Twitter Purging Thousands of Accounts Posting Things They Don’t Agree With

Several right-wing Twitter users shared their concern this week over discovering their own profiles had been suspended or a sizable portion of their followers had apparently disappeared overnight.

As Gizmodo reported, accounts of the supposed purge began to appear Wednesday morning.

Conservative radio host Bill Mitchell responded to another user’s inquiry about the news by confirming thousands of his followers had seemingly vanished.

Controversial white nationalist Richard Spencer tweeted that he “lost close to 1,000 followers” in the span of a few hours.

The concern manifest itself in the form of a hashtag, #TwitterLockout, which gained traction on the platform throughout the day, according to Fox News.

One woman contacted Gizmodo to share her experience, claiming her account — @ThankUGOD4Trump — was locked on suspicion that it was being operated by a bot.

“They told me that my account ‘exhibited automated behavior’ and that I’d be sent a ‘verification code,’ which I’ve never received.”

She was reportedly able to regain access after following the steps prescribed by Twitter.

Another Trump supporter claimed she was caught up in the purge, too, though she began noticing her followers reappear “as they day goes on and they were able to confirm their accounts.”

Mitchell provided a similar update.

While Twitter did not announce its intention ahead of time or issue an immediate statement when complaints started pouring in Wednesday morning, the company did provide some details to Gizmodo later in the day.

The tools used to identify automated bots or other unauthorized behavior on the platform are “apolitical,” Twitter said, adding that the company enforces its rules “without political bias.”

The company shared a few characteristics its algorithms look for in flagging an account for possible misbehavior.

“As part of our ongoing work in safety, we identify suspicious account behaviors that indicate automated activity or violations of our policies around having multiple accounts, or abuse,” the statement read. “We also take action on any accounts we find that violate our terms of service, including asking account owners to confirm a phone number so we can confirm a human is behind it.”

It was those safeguards, Twitter said, that caused “suspensions or locks” on certain accounts.

“This is part of our ongoing, comprehensive efforts to make Twitter safer and healthier for everyone,” the company said. (For more from the author of “Alert: Twitter Purging Thousands of Accounts Posting Things They Don’t Agree With” please click HERE)

REPORT: Twitter Employees Paid to View Private ‘Sex Messages’

James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas released shocking undercover footage of Twitter employees admitting that Twitter spies on its users, monitors its users’ private messages, views its users’ private “sex messages,” and the employee’s flippant attitude toward the power they wield, suggesting that it may be abused by employees at the tech giant.

The undercover footage shows four current Twitter software engineers — Conrado Miranda, Clay Haynes, Pranay Singh, and Mihai Alexandru Florea — all appearing to indicate that Twitter is involved in surveilling all aspects of its user’s activities on the platform, including viewing their private messages . . .

“It is a creepy Big Brother. It’s like a level … I don’t want to say it freaks me out, but it disturbs me.” — Clay Haynes

“There’s teams dedicated to it. I mean, we’re talking, we’re talking three or four … at least, three or four hundred people. … Yes, they’re paid to look at d*ck pics.” — Clay Haynes

“Everything you send is stored on my server. … So all your sex messages and you, like, d*ck pics are on my server now. …” — Pranay Singh

Shock Video: Twitter Employee Offers Eye-Popping Intel in Trump Take-Down Plot

By WND. A shocking video released by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas captures Twitter employees expressing their willingness to use their access to President Trump’s account to bring down the nation’s commander-in-chief.

Employee Clay Haynes, who has worked at the company since 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile, spoke to an undercover journalist from Project Veritas on Jan. 3. Haynes said the company would be “more than happy to help the DOJ with their little investigation.”

Haynes, a self-declared “bleeding-heart liberal,” also outlined specific ways the company could help take down the president, including providing every single tweet Trump has made, even those that have been deleted, as well as any direct messages . . .

Haynes openly declared his desire to end the Trump administration.

“He’s dangerous, I don’t like him and he’s a terrible human being and I want to get rid of him,” Haynes states in the video. (Read more from “Shock Video: Twitter Employee Offers Eye-Popping Intel in Trump Take-Down Plot” HERE)

Twitter Responds to Project Veritas Video of Employee Talking About Trump’s Account

By Diana Stancy Correll. Twitter has distanced itself from comments by an employee about providing the Justice Department with President Trump’s tweets and direct messages which were caught on video and published by Project Veritas.

“The individual depicted in this video was speaking in a personal capacity and does not represent or speak for Twitter,” Twitter told International Business Times. “Twitter only responds to valid legal requests, and does not share any user information with law enforcement without such a request.”

“We deplore the deceptive and underhanded tactics by which this footage was obtained and selectively edited to fit a pre-determined narrative,” Twitter’s spokesperson said. “Twitter is committed to enforcing our rules without bias and empowering every voice on our platform, in accordance with the Twitter Rules.”

Project Veritas, a conservative group that attempts to expose media bias, released a video featuring a Twitter senior network security engineer, Clay Haynes, in a meeting. Haynes can be heard saying that Twitter is “more than happy to help the Department of Justice in their little investigation” by giving them “every single tweet that [Trump] has posted, even the ones he’s deleted. Any direct messages, any mentions.”

Trump’s campaign is being looked at by special counsel Robert Mueller, who was appointed by the Justice Department, for possible collusion with the Russians during the 2016 campaign. (Read more from “Twitter Responds to Project Veritas Video of Employee Talking About Trump’s Account” HERE)

Nude Photo Circulating of Republican Congressman

Texas Republican Rep. Joe Barton confirmed that he did send a photo of himself in the nude, which has been circulating online, and apologized for the indiscretion.

“While separated from my second wife, prior to the divorce, I had sexual relationships with other mature adult women,” Barton, said in a statement, first reported by the Texas Tribune. “Each was consensual. Those relationships have ended. I am sorry I did not use better judgment during those days. I am sorry that I let my constituents down.”

A censored image of Barton was originally posted by an anonymous twitter user, and has since been passed around, along with a message apparently from Barton that said “I want u soo bad [sic]. Right now. Deep and hard.”

Others have retweeted the image with various comments. (Read more from “Nude Photo Circulating of Republican Congressman” HERE)

Roger Stone Says He Will Sue Twitter Over Account Suspension

Longtime Trump associate Roger Stone Jr. said he will sue Twitter in response to the company banning him from the platform.

“I have retained one of the best telecommunications lawyers in the country and will be bringing a legal action against Twitter over the suspension of my account,” he told TheWrap. “The battle for free speech has just begun.”

Stone would not publicly name the attorney until he signed a retainer agreement, which he said he expected to do Monday.

“I have been inundated on Twitter with bloggers threatening to kill me, my wife my kids and even my dogs yet Twitter seems unconcerned about that,” he said “This is just part and parcel of the tech lefts effort to silence conservative voices.”

Stone, always a provocative presence on the platform, was finally kicked off for good Saturday after launching a series of profanity-laced tweets towards CNN anchor Don Lemon and other network personalities. (Read more from “Roger Stone Says He Will Sue Twitter Over Account Suspension” HERE)
