Unvaxxed Navy Sailors Face ‘Deplorable’ Living Conditions While Religious Exemptions Pend

U.S. Navy service members who are seeking religious exemptions to the Department of Defense’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate have been transferred into deplorable living conditions and, in some cases, are unable to leave while awaiting termination from the military, according to court documents.

First Liberty Institute in November filed a lawsuit on behalf of 35 active-duty SEALs and three reservists seeking a religious exemption to the mandate, as first reported by Fox News Digital. The case has since been amended to extend to a class action lawsuit encompassing all Navy service members seeking religious accommodation.

In March, the Supreme Court blocked a lower court’s order in Texas that would have forced the Navy to stop implementing the vaccine mandate. Now, the case is continuing to be litigated in lower courts around the country, and unvaccinated SEALs and other sailors who have not yet been terminated by the U.S. government are stuck in limbo, with many of them forced into less-than-desirable alternative housing by the military or barred from traveling outside their base.

In a court filing in June by First Liberty in the Northern District of Texas Fort Worth Division District Court, sailors recounted deplorable conditions on large U.S. vessels, where they remain waiting as their cases are adjudicated. Multiple Military Witnesses Describe Encounter With UFO

Five U.S Navy witnesses aboard the USS Ronald Reagan have described a 2004 encounter with a UFO/UAP off the eastern coast of the United States, the details of which were released Monday.

The witnesses aboard the Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarrier said they saw a 20- to 40-foot wide luminous orb hovering over the ship’s flight deck, according to the Debrief. The exact date of the encounter could not be remembered as all reported logs were destroyed, but all five witnesses described the events almost identically to the outlet. . .

The first witness interviewed by the Debrief was 3rd class petty officer and Quartermaster Karol Olesiak, who was informed of an ongoing event above the flight deck when he showed up to relieve the outgoing Quartermaster for his evening shift.

“I’m pretty sure ‘it’ was there. And they were like, ‘I don’t know what that is. I don’t care.’ You know what I mean?” Olesiak told the Debrief, “Like they had an attitude like ‘I’m going to my rack. I don’t care. … don’t even bother me about this sh*t’… So this ‘thing’ is there, the entirety of my watch and because the officers are ignoring it, I’m forced to ignore it.” His watch lasted from 8:00 PM – 12:00 AM, throughout which the glowing orange-colored orb hovered above the flight deck, Olesiak told the outlet.

Apparently the surface of the UAP reminded Olesiak of the “burning bush” described in the Bible, the outlet continued. “In the Eastern Orthodox church, they explain the burning Bush as unburnt energy. When you see it, you are entranced by the novelty of it. You’ve never seen it before. Right? You’ve never seen negative energy… but it’s there. You don’t know what it is, the experience of seeing something you haven’t seen before,” he told the Debrief. (Read more from “Multiple Military Witnesses Describe Encounter With UFO” HERE)

Massive Chinese Fleet Seen Barreling Toward U.S. Naval Base

The largest Chinese aircraft carrier group reportedly ever assembled is conducting combat training near a U.S. naval base in Japan, according to multiple Chinese media sources on Tuesday.

China’s aircraft carrier “Liaoning,” as well as seven other vessels, are reportedly performing a naval expedition in close proximity to Nagasaki, Japan, and the U.S. Navy base at Sasebo, according to a Tuesday report from China’s Observer News translated by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier is also in the vicinity, according to the report.

The U.S. Naval Institute fleet tracker placed both the USS Abraham Lincoln, as well as the USS Ronald Reagan aircraft carrier in the waters near Sasebo on May 2.

China’s naval expedition comes a week after its military reportedly shadowed a U.S. Navy destroyer conducting a freedom of navigation exercise in the Taiwan Strait last Tuesday.

China’s military news outlet confirmed its nation’s aircraft carrier group was operating in the western Pacific Ocean in a Tuesday bulletin translated by the DCNF, but stated the “routine training operation” was “not directed against any party.” (Read more from “Massive Chinese Fleet Seen Barreling Toward U.S. Naval Base” HERE)

3 Navy Sailors on Same Ship Found Dead in Less Than a Week, 7 in One Year

By Fox News 8. Three sailors who served on the USS George Washington aircraft carrier have been found dead in less than a week, the U.S. Navy said. . .

At this time, the Navy hasn’t released the cause of death or circumstances for any of the sailors but said the deaths are not believed to be connected and are under investigation separately. Naval Criminal Investigative Service and local authorities are investigating.

Two of the sailors were found on April 9 and 10 at off-base locations in Hampton, Myers said. Retail Services Specialist 3rd Class Mikail Sharp was found on April 9 and Interior Communications Electrician 3rd Class Natasha Huffman was found on April 10.

The third sailor, who hasn’t been identified, was found unresponsive Friday on the carrier. (Read more from “3 Navy Sailors on Same Ship Found Dead in Less Than a Week” HERE)

Seven Dead on Same Ship in a Year

By Chris Bradford. Navy officials said the deaths don’t appear to be linked but an investigation is being carried out by officials.

Four deaths were reported in 2021.

Lt Cmdr. Robert Myers, of the Naval Air Force Atlantic, said: “We can confirm seven total deaths of service members assigned to USS George Washington over the past 12 months — 4 in 2021, and 3 in 2022.

“The circumstances surrounding these incidents vary and it is premature to make assumptions, as some incidents remain under investigation.”

The USS George Washington is currently in Newport News undergoing a complex overhaul. (Read more about the deaths of the navy sailors HERE)

Navy Pauses Actions Against Religious COVID-19 Vaccine Refusers

The Navy has paused its efforts to separate and discipline sailors who refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine on religious grounds following a federal judge’s order in Texas last week.

But a sea service administrative message released Wednesday also warns that commanders will continue to consider vaccination status when making “deployment, assignment and other operational decisions,” in accordance with a U.S. Supreme Court order last month.

A March 28 order by U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor allowed a lawsuit brought by 35 sailors who refused the service’s COVID vaccine mandate to go forward as a class action lawsuit. It could cover thousands of members who objected to getting the vaccine over religious beliefs, the Associated Press reported.

The preliminary injunction protecting those 35 sailors from adverse Navy actions now extends to other sailors who refused the vaccine, according to the AP, prompting the Navy’s pause on such moves.

While there had been 3,323 requests for a religious exemption from the mandated vaccine as of Thursday, the Navy has granted none of those waiver requests. (Read more from “Navy Pauses Actions Against Religious COVID-19 Vaccine Refusers” HERE)

US Navy Announces New Ship Will Be Named After Darling of the Left

Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro announced Thursday that the Navy is naming a ship after former Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, getting the announcement out just under the wire as Women’s History Month came to a close.

Ginsburg’s name will be on a ship that is not yet built, but it will be a John Lewis-class replenishment oiler, according to a Navy news release.

The Lewis class of ships has been used to memorialize other liberal icons, including Sen. Robert F. Kennedy of New York, former Supreme Court Justice Earl Warren, gay activist Harvey Milk and Lewis himself, who was a civil rights activist before serving 17 terms as a Georgia congressman. Navy Grants First Religious Vaccine Exemption; 640 Marines Discharged Over Vaccine Refusal

The Navy has become the third U.S. military service branch to grant a religious exemption for the coronavirus vaccine, though the approval rate for such requests remains a fraction of 1%.

One sailor in the Individual Ready Reserve had a religious exemption conditionally approved, though this person will need to get fully vaccinated if they’re called up to active-duty or reserve status, according to a Navy release. Additionally, the Marines have now granted six religious exemptions after having received 3,595 requests, which marks a 0.16% approval rate, according to a Thursday press release, though the number of approvals was three in the branch’s last update.

Those seven service members, combined with nine airmen, make up everyone in the military who has been approved for a religious exemption so far, even though there have been more than 16,800 requests.

Each of the three branches has also begun discharging those who have refused the vaccine. 247 active-duty sailors and one reserve, 640 Marines, and 160 airmen have been discharged for not getting the vaccine, while the Army, which has not granted any religious exemptions, has said it will start separations “immediately” but has yet to release data indicating they’ve begun. US Navy Scrambling to Get Advanced Fighter Jet From Bottom of Ocean Before China Does

The U.S. Navy is attempting to find a downed fighter jet in the South China Sea before Beijing does, BBC News reported.

The $100 million F-35C plane, which is the Navy’s newest and contains classified equipment, went down on Monday after what was described as a “mishap” during takeoff, BBC News reported.

It is the Navy’s first “low observable” carrier-based, which makes its operations undetectable in enemy airspace, and has the most powerful fighter engine in the world, BBC News reported. Since the vehicle is in international waters, capturing it is fair game.

The jet was taking off from the USS Carl Vinson when it went down and injured seven sailors as it struck the deck, BBC News reported. It is now at the bottom of the sea, and the Navy is not providing details on how long retrieval might take. Vaccine Holdouts at Key Military Bases Pose Staffing Dilemma

In late October, Phil Teuscher’s supervisor showed up at his office at the Navy’s top weapons testing base to let him know his name was on a list of thousands of base personnel who had failed to acknowledge receipt of the COVID-19 vaccine requirement.

In August, all branches of the U.S. military gave its service members and civilian employees an ultimatum: Get the vaccine or face being fired. At the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in California, the remote base where Teuscher has worked for 20 years, the first part of the mandate required all personnel to officially acknowledge receipt of the directive. The next step was a signed statement saying whether they have received a shot.

But Teuscher, 58, and many others who work for the Navy on and around the base have refused to comply with either directive. Using an online messaging app, Teuscher started connecting with other like-minded China Lake workers pushing back against the requirement. The group quickly grew to more than 300 participants, all deeply concerned about receiving the vaccine or outright refusing it. Each day at lunchtime, dozens of workers gather outside the base to protest the mandate.

Some employees connected to the base, all of whom require security clearances to work there, are pointing to underlying health problems they believe the vaccine could exacerbate while others cite religious exemptions. Teuscher, a production manager for a highly sophisticated missile program at the base’s Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, or NAWCWD, is not making either claim. Instead, he’s choosing to fight the legality of the mandate on principle. . .

But the Navy faces its own dilemma as the deadlines loom. With roughly 10% of the base’s highly educated and trained personnel refusing the shot, it will be difficult, if not impossible, to maintain all the classified weapons and their testing operations in top working order if all resisters are fired. Radical BLM Leftist Arrested for Espionage

The wife of Jonathan Toebbe, the US Navy nuclear engineer accused of trying to sell secrets to a foreign power, is a fierce progressive and Black Lives Matter supporter, it has been revealed.

Diana Toebbe, who was also charged with selling classified information to an undercover FBI agent posing as a foreign agent, has a history of supporting liberal figures and causes on social media. . .

Diana and Jonathan Toebbe were arrested in West Virginia on Saturday after he placed a removable memory card at a prearranged “dead drop.”

The 45-year-old’s social media posts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook were examined by Fox News, which said she uses her maiden name, Smay, on the platforms.

Among the findings are a profile picture that reads “Black Lives Matter” and a post celebrating Black Out Tuesday last year, when social media users protested racism by posting a black square and taking a break from posting for a day.
