Navy Assistant Football Coach Fired for Refusing COVID Vaccine

Navy has fired assistant coach Billy Ray Stutzmann after he failed to abide by the Naval Academy Athletic Association’s policy regarding the COVID-19 vaccination. The policy requires all coaches and staff to be vaccinated against the virus. Stutzmann says he failed to receive a religious exemption that would have allowed him to stay unvaccinated.

The Pentagon announced in August that members of the United States military will be required to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

“Based on my religious convictions, and after much thought and prayer, I am unable to follow the requirements of the Naval Academy’s COVID-19 policy, as it has changed these last few months,” he wrote on his Twitter account. “After applying for a religious exemption and attempting to further negotiate alternative working arrangements, I was ultimately relieved of my duties here at Navy. I continue to stand firm in my conviction of faith, but I understand and respect that each individual and institution has a choice on how they wish to manage these issues. I wish Navy football nothing by the best in the future.” (Read more from “Navy Assistant Football Coach Fired for Refusing COVID Vaccine” HERE)

Navy Identifies 5 Sailors Killed In Helicopter Crash

The U.S. Navy on Sunday identified the five sailors now presumed dead after a more than 72-hour search and rescue mission was called off following their helicopter crash off the coast of San Diego.

The five sailors, all assigned to the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 8, were identified as Lt. Bradley A. Foster, 29, a pilot from Oakhurst, California; Lt. Paul R. Fridley, 28, a pilot from Annandale, Virginia; Naval Air Crewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class James P. Buriak, 31, from Salem, Virginia; Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Sarah F. Burns, 31, from Severna Park, Maryland; and Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Bailey J. Tucker, 21, from St. Louis, Missouri. Their bodies all remain missing.

On Saturday, the U.S Navy declared all five deceased, shifting from search and rescue efforts to recovery operations after more than 72 hours of coordinated rescue efforts encompassing 34 search and rescue flights, over 170 hours of flight time, with five search helicopters and constant surface vessel search.

The sailors were riding in a MH-60S helicopter “conducting routine flight operations” from USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) when the aircraft crashed into the sea approximately 60 nautical miles off the coast of San Diego at 4:30 p.m. PST, Aug. 31, the U.S. Navy 3rd Fleet said. GOP Report: Navy Brass Focused More On Wokeness Than Warfighting

The Navy’s top brass is more focused on wokeness and diversity training than on winning wars — leaving sailors feeling unprepared to face a 21st century conflict with China, according to a damning report commissioned by Republican lawmakers.

The report, commissioned by Republicans on the Senate and House Armed Services Committees, showed that since the end of the Cold War, the Navy has been drifting more towards a culture of careerism, political correctness, and risk aversion than actually training its sailors on how to fight and win.

The report, written by Marine Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Robert E. Schmidle and Navy Rear Adm. (Ret.) Mark Montgomery, found after 77 in-depth interviews with sailors of different ranks and jobs that their frustration with non-essential training was “overwhelming.” . . .

While programs to encourage diversity, human sex trafficking prevention, suicide prevention, sexual assault prevention, and others are appropriate, they come with a cost. The non-combat curricula consume Navy resources, clog inboxes, create administrative quagmires, and monopolize precious training time.

By weighing down sailors with non-combat related training and administrative burdens, both Congress and Navy leaders risk sending them into battle less prepared and less focused than their opponents.

Chief of Naval Operations Defends Recommending an Anti-American Marxist Book on Anti-Racism for “All” U.S. Navy Sailors To Read (VIDEO)

By Capt. Joseph R. John. It is very difficult to believe that the below listed video is the actual testimony of Admiral Michael Gilday, the US Chief of Naval Operations. He is in command of Obama’s United States Woke Navy; he read then actually added Ibram X. Kendi’s book “How to Be an Antiracist” to the US Navy’s recommended list of books, that all US Sailors are encouraged to read.

Gilday is just another of the Navy Captains, that for 8 years, Obama required to go thru a pre-screened interviews, to determine if they were Politically Correct and Woke enough, to be considered for promotion to Flag.

Just like the current Superintendent of the US Naval Academy, Vice Admiral Sean Buck, who is also an Obama Pre-screened Politically Correct and Woke Flag Officer; he has been driving Critical Race Theory into the Naval Leadership Curriculum at the US Naval Academy, brainwashing The Brigade of Midshipmen with Marxist propaganda.

Mark Levin calls for firing of Naval chief: He’s pushing a ‘racist’ book by ‘Marxist’ Kendi

By Fox News. Former Reagan Justice Department official and host of “Life, Liberty & Levin” Mark Levin called for President Biden to fire Adm. Michael Gilday, chief of Naval Operations.

Gilday was recently questioned by House Armed Services Committee member Jim Banks, R-Ind., who called attention to his inclusion of “How to Be an Anti-Racist” by left-wing academic Ibram X. Kendi, in recommended reading for Naval officers. . .

On “Hannity,” Levin echoed the concerns of those lawmakers, declaring that Gilday is, in his mind, safe in his post because he is purportedly a “Biden lackey.”

“Adm. Michael Gilday … may have been a great warrior as an admiral. He needs to be fired,” Levin told host Sean Hannity. (Read more from “>Mark Levin calls for firing of Naval chief: He’s pushing a ‘racist’ book by ‘Marxist’ Kendi” HERE)

Navy Will Keep ‘How To Be an Antiracist’ Book on Reading List

Despite objections from Republican lawmakers, the U.S. Navy has reportedly decided against removing a controversial book from its approved reading list.

The Navy came under fire earlier this year upon revelations that some of the books included in its 2021 Chief of Naval Operations Professional Reading Program had nothing to do with military history or strategy, but instead educated readers on cultural topics such as anti-racism and gender identity.

One book in particular, titled “How to Be an Antiracist” by Ibram X. Kendi, drew intense scrutiny for its characterization of America as a fundamentally racist country.

In a letter sent to Navy Admiral Michael Gilday requesting the removal of the book, Republican Rep. Jim Banks (Ind.), a Naval Reserve officer and ranking member of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel, branded the book as “explicitly anti-American” and not fit to be included on the list.

But according to Fox News, Gilday is not budging. In a response letter sent from Gilday to Banks obtained by the news organization, the admiral said he included the book because “it evokes the author’s own personal journey in understanding barriers to true inclusion, the deep nuances of racism and racial inequalities,” and added he would like to see Navy sailors achieve the same level of “self-reflection.” (Read more from “Navy Will Keep ‘How To Be an Antiracist’ Book on Reading List” HERE)

Navy: Women Secretly Filmed in Shower Aboard Sub

Some of the first female sailors to serve on Navy submarines were secretly recorded while they undressed.

The women were recorded aboard the ballistic missile submarine Wyoming, Gold crew, which is home ported in Kings Bay, Georgia. Navy officials are investigating an unidentified 24-year-old male who is accused of making and distributing the videos, according to a Nov. 14 incident report circulated among the service’s most senior leaders. The sailor was identified only by his rank: second class petty officer.

The videos are believed to show at least three female officers while showering or undressed that were recorded over more than a year, according to a source who has spoken to one of the alleged victims.

It amounts to a huge scandal for a community that has prided itself on an otherwise smooth integration effort, begun four years ago when women first entered submarine training. And it comes as the Navy moves towards its next milestones, integrating Virginia-class attack subs and then the enlisted submarine ranks.

A ballistic missile sub typically has 15 officers and 140 enlisted on board, with unisex heads in “officer country.” When a woman is using the shower, for example, she puts up a sign to indicate the head is in use by a female officer and men must wait to enter until it’s unoccupied.

Reports of sexual assaults in the military up by 8 percent

By Charles Hoskinson.

The number of reported sexual assaults in the military rose 8 percent in the past year, which the Pentagon said is a sign of significant progress but is likely to increase pressure for changes in how the cases are handled.

There were 5,983 cases reported in fiscal 2014, up from 5,518 in the previous year, according to a study released Thursday.

Pentagon officials attributed the increase to greater efforts to encourage victims to come forward, prevent retaliation and make prosecutions more victim-friendly.

“In this particular crime, an increase in reporting is a good thing,” said Maj. Gen. Jeffrey Snow, head of the Pentagon’s Sexual Assault and Prevention Response Office.

“The Department of Defense has been taking aggressive action over the past year and a half to stop sexual assault,” Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said. “We believe that our efforts to prevent sexual assault are beginning to have an impact.”

Navy Removes Bibles from Guest Rooms

There is growing outrage among sailors and religious liberty advocates over a directive that calls for the removal of Bibles from lodges and hotels run on U.S. Navy bases. The directive comes after an atheist group filed a formal complaint earlier this year over the placement of Bibles in the rooms.

“The current direction is to remove all religious material from Navy Lodge guest rooms,” read an email to a Navy chaplain from The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM). “For those Navy Lodges with religious materials currently in guest rooms, the Navy Lodge General Manager will contact the Installation Chaplain’s office who will provide guidance on the removal procedure disposition of these materials.”

An active duty service member contacted me and alerted me the Bibles were being taken out of hotel rooms and a lodge housekeeper told American Family Association the same thing.

The American Family Association received an exclusive copy of a similar directive from NEXCOM, the organization that manages the lodges.

“The Navy Lodge General Manager should advise the Installation Commanding Officer of our intention to work through the chaplain’s office to determine what installation policy is and the method to remove religious material currently in the guest rooms,” read a directive approved by Michael Bockelman, the vice president of NEXCOM and the director of the Navy Lodge Program.

Bring it On: Iran to ‘Destroy U.S. Navy’

Photo Credit: US Navy A top Iranian naval commander said that he is prepared to order suicide attacks, drone strikes, and missile technology to “destroy the U.S. Navy” in any upcoming confrontation, according to an interview printed in Iran’s state-run media.

Iranian Naval Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, a member of Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said that Iran is constantly training and preparing for a clash with the United States, according to a recounting of his remarks provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

Fadavi revealed that Iran “compensates for its technological inferiority to the United States with a strategy of asymmetrical warfare, including suicide attacks and the use of speedboat and its missile capability,” according to MEMRI.

Additionally, Fadavi revealed that on “at least” three occasions senior U.S. officials have contacted Iran to establish a telephone hot line like the one used between the Soviet Union and the United States during the Cold War era.

Fadavi’s military threats come amid a massive military buildup by Iran, which claims to have duplicated and armed a downed U.S. drone and to have developed advanced ballistic missiles that could be capable of carrying a nuclear payload.

Report: New Navy Map Shows U.S. Had ‘Multitude of Forces’ in Region Surrounding Libya During Benghazi Attack

Photo Credit: Screengrab via TownhallGovernment watchdog group Judicial Watch published a U.S. Navy map on Wednesday showing the locations of ships in the region surrounding Libya on the night of the deadly Benghazi Attack.

The unclassified map was obtained by Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Randall R. Schmidt via a Freedom of Information of Act (FOIA) request. Schmidt is reportedly investigating the U.S. military’s response to the Benghazi attack and provided a copy of the map to the group.

“The U.S. military had a multitude of forces in the region surrounding Libya when terrorists attacked the Special Mission in Benghazi and murdered four Americans,” Judicial Watch writes.

“Destroyers could have responded to the attack,” Schmidt said.

He also said the military had “rapid reaction forces” and “armed predators” in the region. So far, the Department of Defense has refused to provide him records on the air fleet on Sept. 11, 2012.
