West Point Refuses to Say if Officials Who Spread False Info About Pete Hegseth’s Academy Record Will Be Punished

West Point is refusing to disclose whether school officials who gave false information to legacy media about Pete Hegseth’s acceptance into the academy will face disciplinary action for their conduct, The Federalist has learned.

The entire saga came to fruition on Wednesday morning, when Hegseth, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of defense, posted screenshots of his 1999 acceptance letter into West Point on X. In the caption accompanying the images, the Army veteran wrote, “We understand that ProPublica (the Left Wing hack group) is planning to publish a knowingly false report that I was not accepted to West Point in 1999. Here’s my letter of acceptance signed by West Point Superintendent, Lieutenant General Daniel Christman, US Army.”

As noted by the former Fox News host, ProPublica is radical left-wing “news” organization that acts as a PR operation for the Democrat Party and its interests. Bankrolled by the left’s dark money network and staffed with Democrat partisans, the outlet has spent the last year leading a seemingly coordinated smear campaign against Supreme Court Justices Samual Alito and Clarence Thomas.

Responding to Hegseth’s tweet in a condescending X thread, ProPublica Senior Editor and Reporter Jesse Eisinger — who edited ProPublica’s Pulitzer Prize-winning hit pieces against the conservative justices — effectively admitted the left-wing outlet was looking into running a hatchet job against Hegseth based on the Army veteran’s “different statements over the years about West Point, where he has said he was admitted.”

Eisinger claimed ProPublica first reached out to West Point’s public affairs office to inquire about Hegseth’s acceptance into the academy and was informed by a representative, “According to the admissions office – Hegseth had not applied for admission to the U.S. Military Academy.” Eisinger contended the leftist outlet subsequently called the academy “to ask if that meant that Hegseth had never been admitted,” and was purportedly told by a second West Point representative, “Absolutely 100%. Because he never opened a file.” (Read more from “West Point Refuses to Say if Officials Who Spread False Info About Pete Hegseth’s Academy Record Will Be Punished” HERE)

West Point Officer Arraigned on Charges of Drinking With Cadets, Violating No-Contact Orders for Women’s Tennis Team

A top West Point officer is facing a series of charges related to sexual misconduct, providing and drinking alcohol with cadets, violating no-contact orders with an entire women’s sports team at the academy, and soliciting cadets and another officer to lie on his behalf amid an investigation into his conduct.

Col. William Wright, the director of the U.S. Military Academy’s geospatial information science program, was arraigned on nine allegations Tuesday, according to court records reviewed by Military.com. He was also reassigned to a role at the academy where he does not have contact with cadets, according to an academy spokesperson.

“West Point holds our staff and faculty to high standards,” Col. Terence Kelley, an academy spokesperson, said in a statement to Military.com. “Upon allegations that our cadre have not upheld our standards, we promptly investigate to determine the facts, protect, and assist potential victims, and hold alleged violators accountable.” (Read more from “West Point Officer Arraigned on Charges of Drinking With Cadets, Violating No-Contact Orders for Women’s Tennis Team” HERE)

Biden Repeats 2022 Naval Academy Appointment Story at West Point Commencement

President Biden repeated a claim that he turned down an appointment to the Naval Academy, where he said he intended to play football, during his commencement speech at West Point on Saturday.

Biden, 81, told the graduates that he was “one of 10” appointed to the naval academy by Republican Delaware Sen. J. Caleb Boggs years before he’d go on to defeat him in the 1972 election to become a US Senator.

“I was appointed by the fella I ran against when I was 29 years old to the Naval Academy. I was one of 10. I wanted to play football,” Biden said in his remarks.

“And I’d found out two days earlier they had a quarterback named Roger Staubach and a halfback named Joe Bellino — I said, ‘I’m not going there.’ I went to Delaware. Not a joke,’ the president said. . .

“He has repeated this lie many times before and there is still no record any of it ever happened,” the RNC posted. (Read more from “Biden Repeats 2022 Naval Academy Appointment Story at West Point Commencement” HERE)

Leaked: New Woke Curriculum at West Point

We’ll soon see whether they’re really going to teach this bullshit at the US Military Academy.

One leaked course description: “Uniformed Perspectives: The Evolution of Cross-Dressing in the Military and Gender Norms”.¹

Another: “Deconstructing Patriotism: Exploring Postmodernism and US Army Recruitment Amidst the Lack of a National Narrative”.²

In other words, the Army is now engaged in a philosophy of self-defeat and self-destruction. All in. No holds barred.

If the overall LGBT PRIDE movement in America is any indicator, the US Army will play host to, “You gave us an inch, we’re going to take a mile.”

WOKE will spread like wildfire in the Armed Forces.

Military hospitals will be a doing a land-office business in castrations.

I see this as predators on the march, and a cultural exhaustion after the deliberate wipe-out of individual power, can-do ambition, and the sky’s the limit.

Replaced by: “Come on, admit it, haven’t you always wanted to wear a dress?”

Pumped up from its small deviant origins, into a new giant synthetic balloon, by DEI/government leaders.

A young person who, a hundred years ago, would have dreamed about starting a business, now dreams of gender-reassignment surgery.

And what better way of getting it than by enlisting in the Army?

—Meanwhile, at a high level, this and other freak shows featuring distortions of the human body are a softening up process, to prepare people for……

West Point Removes ‘Duty, Honor, Country’ From Mission Statement

The mission statement of West Point will no longer include the words “duty, honor, country,” as the over 220-year-old military academy choses to adopt a new mission statement based on “Army Values.”

The military academy announced the proposed change on Monday, saying that the edits to the decades-old mission statement have already been approved by the Secretary of the Army and the Army Chief of Staff. West Point will still retain “duty, honor, country,” as the academy’s motto, saying that the changes to the mission statement came after a year and a half long assessment.

West Point’s new mission statement will be: “To build, educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets to be commissioned leaders of character committed to the Army Values and ready for a lifetime of service to the Army and Nation.”

The academy explained the change by saying that it was part of routine examination of the mission of the institution.

“Our responsibility to produce leaders to fight and win our nation’s wars requires us to assess ourselves regularly,” West Point said. “Thus, over the past year and a half, working with leaders from across West Point and external stakeholders, we reviewed our vision, mission, and strategy to serve this purpose. We believe our mission binds the Academy to the Army — the Army in which our cadets will serve.” (Read more from “West Point Removes ‘Duty, Honor, Country’ From Mission Statement” HERE)

Supreme Court Allows West Point to Factor Race in Admissions Amid Ongoing Lawsuit

The Supreme Court has granted permission for West Point to continue factoring race into its admissions process, allowing the military academy to maintain its current policies while facing an ongoing lawsuit. The decision was delivered as part of an emergency appeal seeking changes to West Point’s admissions process, and it comes at a crucial time as the academy is in the process of selecting candidates for its next entering class, the Class of 2028.

The recent order, issued without any noted dissents, emphasized that it should not be interpreted as expressing a view on the merits of the constitutional question surrounding race-conscious admissions. The Supreme Court’s conservative majority had previously ruled in June that such admissions plans violate the U.S. Constitution, focusing on cases from Harvard University and the University of North Carolina. However, the court explicitly excluded West Point and other service academies from its decision.

The lawsuit against West Point was initiated by Students for Fair Admissions, the same group behind cases against Harvard and North Carolina. The organization contends that West Point’s admissions process, which takes race into account, is illegal. While lower courts had declined to halt the admissions policies at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy during the ongoing lawsuits, only the West Point ruling has been appealed to the Supreme Court.

“Every day that passes between now and then is one where West Point, employing an illegal race-based admissions process, can end another applicant’s dream of joining the Long Gray Line,” argued lawyers for Students for Fair Admissions in a court filing.

The Biden administration, represented by Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar, emphasized in its brief that a “diverse” Army officer corps has long been considered a national-security imperative.

“For more than forty years, our Nation’s military leaders have determined that a diverse Army officer corps is a national-security imperative and that achieving that diversity requires limited consideration of race in selecting those who join the Army as cadets at the United States Military Academy at West Point.” Prelogar stated.

Unsurprisingly, the Biden administration supports the illegal consideration of race in selecting cadets at West Point to achieve this diversity.

West Point Goes Woke

Well, West Point had a good run, didn’t it? Once a beacon of prestige and elite training, this institution produced some of America’s most outstanding leaders. But times have changed. Today, West Point is just another woke joke, churning out young Marxists with contempt for the very nation they’re supposedly preparing to defend.

West Point has reached the point of no return, particularly after the exposure of their latest “woke” agenda. Believe it or not, but they’re now offering degrees in “Equity and Diversity.” And no, unfortunately, this isn’t a joke.

Here’s the information about the woke course from West Point’s own website:

Diversity & Inclusion Studies Minor

Diversity and Inclusion Studies (DISM) is an interdisciplinary minor administered by the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership that consists of humanities and social science courses. America is a multicultural polity and demands knowledgeable and pragmatic thinkers who understand the range of human experiences. The Diversity and Inclusion Studies Minor (DISM) exposes cadets to varied perspectives & methodologies for understanding and studying the humanities. By carefully drawing from existing courses in multiple departments, the DISM complements and enhances the core curriculum, academic majors, and several West Point Centers and committees. The DISM helps fulfill the Superintendent’s and Dean’s vision for diversity and inclusion at West Point. Moreover, the DISM at West Point offers cadets a framework for critically and creatively thinking about the broader impact of diversity and inclusion at the individual, organizational, societal, and/or global levels. It also provides our cadets opportunities to pursue diversity and inclusion in intra-, multi- and inter-disciplinary ways.

Despite Law Prohibiting Mandatory Vax, West Point Bans Unvaxxed Cadets from Travel; Cadet Dies Suddenly on Way to Class

West Point reimposes travel ban on unvaxxed cadets, despite repeal of military vax mandate

By Just the News. The United States Military Academy is reimposing restrictions on unvaccinated cadets despite the lifting of the military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, reports military attorney R. Davis Younts, a reversal that comes even as Congress mulls legislation seeking redress for service members dismissed for vaccine refusal.

The Department of Defense rescinded the military vaccine mandate pursuant to the Dec. 23 enactment of the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which included a measure repealing the mandate.

During the height of the pandemic, West Point implemented a policy prohibiting cadets from traveling for sports or other events, according to Younts. After the vaccine was made available, only unvaccinated cadets were restricted from traveling. Then, last semester, while the military vaccine mandate was still in place, West Point dropped the policy, allowing unvaccinated cadets to travel for sports, the Army-Navy game, and other events.

After the Pentagon lifted the vaccine mandate, however, West Point reinstated the travel ban for unvaccinated cadets. Putting the “restrictions back in place” after the mandate was rescinded “feels like coercion” to force vaccination on the cadets, Younts said. He questions the “justification for the policy change,” while acknowledging that West Point has the authority to reinstate the restrictions. ‘A Total Shock’: Parents Mourn Sudden Death of Their Air Force Academy Son

By Veterans Legal Group. Candyce and Dustin Brown last spoke to their son Hunter by phone on Sunday, Jan. 8, discussing the class schedule for his upcoming sophomore year at the Air Force Academy in Colorado.

Hunter was in good spirits. He was taking it easy in his dorm with his roommate as he continued to recover from foot surgery he’d undergone two months earlier, aimed at fixing a torn ligament suffered during football practice at the service academy. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary or unusual.

But the following day as he was heading to class, Hunter experienced a medical emergency and died. He was 21 years old.

“What happened was a total shock,” his mother, Candyce, told Military.com. “He was doing well with his recovery.” (Read more from “‘A Total Shock’: Parents Mourn Sudden Death of Their Air Force Academy Son” HERE)

Gen. Milley Warns West Point Graduates of ‘Significant International Conflict’

Army General Mark Milley warned West Point Cadet graduates to prepare for the increase use of new global weapons technologies and the risk of global conflict in the future.

While speaking at the 2022 commencement ceremony, Milley cautioned a change that is about to happen in the “character of war,” saying “we are facing right now two global powers, China and Russia, each with significant military capabilities, and both who fully intend to change the current rules based order.”

According to Milley, Ukraine’s conflict with Russia and President Joe Biden’s deployment of troops to Somalia will bring on a spike of international conflicts, adding “Russia’s invasion is only teaching that aggression left unanswered only emboldens the aggressor.”
