Former West Point Cadet Says Military Academy ‘Glorifies Ignorant Submission and Unethical Behavior’

By Fox News. Former cadet at the United States Military Academy Hannah MacDonald said that West Point “glorifies ignorant submission and unethical behavior” Thursday on “Hannity,” joining two other former cadets in their criticism of the academy.

For MacDonald and her fellow former cadets Nickaylah Sampson and Willow Brown, enrolling at the nation’s oldest service academy was a dream come true. . .

Sampson remembered talk of briefs about “White rage” and “extremism.” The former cadet found such discussions “ridiculous,” saying “[i]t really had nothing to do with…bettering yourself as an Army officer.”

MacDonald recounted tutoring students writing essays about critical race theory and socialism this fall, explaining that the students “didn’t agree” with such ideas but “thought their professors would enjoy [their essays] because [they were] in line with the books they were reading.”

Her disappointment was especially profound given her Christian upbringing, in which she said she was taught that “there’s no greater love than to lay down your life for someone else.” (Read more from “Former West Point Cadet Says Military Academy ‘Glorifies Ignorant Submission and Unethical Behavior’” HERE)

Former West Point Cadets’ Reasons for Leaving Academy Should Horrify Every Red-Blooded American

By Biz Pac Review. On Fox News’ “Hannity” Thursday, host Sean Hannity spoke with three former West Point cadets who were effectively driven from the military academy because of its philosophical shift in values as well as for refusing to submit to the COVID vaccine.

Although the stated policy of the academy was that vaccinations were optional for cadets, the trio nevertheless endured targeting and harassment which eventually took a toll on their well-being and paralyzed their military career endeavors. It all came to a head on September 27th, following the U.S. government-imposed vaccine mandate.

Cadets were then “instructed in a meeting to either get vaccinated, file for an exemption or separate from the academy,” Hannity said. According to several cadets in attendance, they were denied legal counsel after being assured they could acquire it.

Willow Brown, who left the academy in the spring, explained the reasoning behind her decision to leave West Point.

“I went to the academy hoping to serve my country and bring the fight to the enemy. I found myself instead in the classroom learning about how to be more sensitive, and this woke ideology that had taken over West Point really surprised me.” (Read more from “Former West Point Cadets’ Reasons for Leaving Academy Should Horrify Every Red-Blooded American” HERE)

Report: ‘Critical Race Theory’ Being Taught At West Point

. . .Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.) sent a letter to West Point Superintendent Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams about “information” that recently came to his “attention from unsettled soldiers, cadets, and families that raises serious concerns about the U.S. Army’s introduction of elements of critical race theory into cadet instruction.”

“While we should always eradicate extremism of all forms from our ranks and never tolerate racism, I am alarmed that this doctrine that focuses our future leaders on race in ways that will be detrimental to unit cohesion, destructive to morale, and strain the readiness of our armed forces,” according to the letter.

Waltz told the Washington Examiner that he was able to speak with Williams.

“We had a brief phone call, he assured me they’re looking into it and assured me that I will promptly get a more formal response laying out what’s being taught and why in more detail,” Waltz told the Washington Examiner, adding, “We’re going to continue to press and get to the bottom of it.”

The congressman, in an interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, said that he got evidence of a West Point lecture, titled “Understanding Whiteness and White Rage,” adding that some families who spoke to him were disturbed by the content. Most West Point Cadets in Cheating Scandal Are Athletes

The majority of cadets caught cheating on a math test at the West Point military academy are athletes — including two dozen members of the Army football team playing West Virginia in Thursday’s Liberty Bowl.

Of the 24 Army Black Knights embroiled in the scandal, 17 remained in uniform as of Wednesday — and a few have already played in games this season, USA Today reported.

They remain on the team because West Point Superintendent Lt. Gen. Darryl Williams suspended the school’s policy of barring cadets who violate the academy’s honor code from representing the school in public.

The honor code is engraved in a monument at the Hudson River front school: “A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.” (Read more from “Most West Point Cadets in Cheating Scandal Are Athletes” HERE)

Nearly 60 West Point Cadets Admit To Cheating in Worst Academic Scandal in Decades

The U.S. Military Academy at West Point accused over 70 of its cadets of cheating on an exam, marking the academy’s worst academic violation since 1976, USA Today reported Monday.

Fifty-eight cadets admitted to cheating on a remote math exam, according to USA Today. Most of the cadets have been enrolled in a rehabilitation program and will be on probation for the duration of their time at West Point.

“There’s no excuse for cheating when the fundamental code for cadets is that they should not lie, cheat or steal,” Tim Bakken, a law professor at West Point told USA Today. “Therefore when the military tries to downplay effects of cheating at the academy, we’re really downplaying the effects on the military as a whole. We rely on the military to tell us honestly when we should fight wars, and when we can win them.”

West Point instructors concluded 72 first year cadets and one in their second year cheated on a May calculus final when all them made the same mistake, according to USA Today. So far, two cases have been dismissed and four dropped after cadets resigned. The academy determined that, out of the 67 remaining cases, 55 cadets violated the honor code and the cadets have been enrolled in the Willful Admission Program. Fake News: Trump Did NOT Order the Army to Conduct the West Point Graduation

President Trump did not ask or order the Army to conduct the West Point graduation ceremony that is taking place in June, the Army secretary’s spokesperson said in an email to Breitbart News.

“The President did not order the Army to conduct the West Point Graduation,” said Army Lt. Col. Audricia Harris.

On whether Trump or the White House “asked” — versus ordered — the Army to proceed with the ceremony, she responded, “No.”

A West Point spokesman also told Breitbart News that West Point leadership was the one that came up with the June 13 date.

Despite the president not asking or ordering the ceremony to go forward on June 13, he has been slammed by Democrat lawmakers, leftist pundits, and activists for bringing 1,000 West Point cadets back to the campus and risking exposure to coronavirus. Trump’s ‘West Point Mafia’ Faces a Loyalty Test

. . .Thanks in part to Trump’s fixation on appointing current and former military officers to key posts, and in part to his tendency to take advice from a small circle of advisers, the West Point class of 1986 has grown into a profoundly influential cohort in American foreign and military policy. In the annals of the military service academies, its rise to the top puts it on a par with the class of 1915, which bred the commanders of World War II and a U.S. president.

. . .Today, the tight-knit group of graduates—some cheekily refer to themselves as the “West Point Mafia”—constitutes a uniquely powerful circle at the highest levels of government. They consult each other on matters of state and also lean on each other in matters more intimate, in informal dinners and social gatherings around Washington with their spouses. And they have banded together to raise $23 million for a scholarship fund for the children of fallen soldiers, in honor of one of their classmates who was killed on active duty in Afghanistan a decade ago.

Now, the loyalty of all the president’s top advisers is being severely tested as the impeachment inquiry bears down on White House staff and the top rungs of the State Department and the Pentagon. For the West Point Mafia, that loyalty could start to conflict with their alma mater’s honor code, which— as some of their fellow West Point graduates have begun to point out publicly—calls on them to be honest, direct and not evasive, and not to tolerate that behavior in others.

At least one of Trump’s West Pointers has been subpoenaed in the House impeachment probe; Brechbuhl, who is the State Department’s counselor, has so far not met the House’s demand to appear. Impeachment investigators have demanded documents from Pompeo, who has defended the president’s actions as entirely appropriate and who has tried to resist efforts to get more State Department diplomats to testify. Other members of the elite group, including Esper, could soon also be compelled to testify about Trump’s alleged efforts, through his private lawyer, to hold up U.S. military aid to Ukraine in return for dirt on White House rival Joe Biden. Army Col. Awarded $8.4 Million After Woman’s Sex Assault Allegations Blown Apart

As official Washington is captivated by the drama surrounding decades-old allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, a former soldier whose career was cut short by similar allegations is trying to get out a message that accusations are not the same as the truth.

Back in 2013, Wil Riggins was an Army colonel who had been nominated for general, when Susan Shannon wrote on her blog that Riggins raped her at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point back in 1986, according to the Daily Mail.

Four years later, after Riggins had been denied his promotion based on the claim, a jury heard Riggins’ suit against Shannon and awarded him $8.4 million in damages, according to The Washington Post.

With that as the background, Riggins has been using his Twitter account to remind those rushing to judgment in the Kavanaugh case that regardless of what an accuser says, the truth may be very different.

Most of his posts are retweets of others who cite his case as a cautionary tale against believing any accuser at face value.

Riggins said that even though he was exonerated, he still suffered irreparable damage from the false claim.

This journey we’ve been on the last four years,” Riggins said, “it’s been a nightmare. … The large dollar amount is meaningless. All I was looking for was the opportunity to be vindicated, to set the record straight, to take every action to get my reputation back to where it was before the 15th of July, when she published that false accusation.”

Shannon entered West Point in 1983 and resigned in 1986. She never mentioned being raped until 2013. In a blog post, she named Riggins as her rapist and said she was drunk at the time. Despite Riggins’s denials, she has maintained that she told the truth in her blog post.

“Frankly the day I started saying his name was the day I started blaming him instead of myself,” Shannon told WJLA.

Riggins admitted he and Shannon had a sexual encounter in 1983, but had no relationship after that time. Shannon called that “a compete fabrication” and said Riggins “smugly admitted he did indeed rape” her.

However, after the verdict she did take down the posts she made about Riggins.

Stephen Horvath, Riggins’s lawyer said Riggins was able to win because, “Everything in that blog post was provably false and could not have happened.”

Riggins said that his effort to fight back was aimed at sending a message to those who make false accusations.

“This will discourage other false accusations but would not discourage legitimate accusations of sexual assault,” he said. (For more from the author of “Army Col. Awarded $8.4 Million After Woman’s Sex Assault Allegations Blown Apart” please click HERE)

Good Morning Campers – It’s Denim Day at West Point!

. . .According to West Point’s official Facebook page, It’s #DenimDay at #USMA! Today’s uniform choice is part of an international effort to raise awareness of and prevent future sexual assault and harassment. Cadets, staff and faculty alike wore jeans to show commitment to ending sexual assault and harassment. For more info on Denim Day visit: https://denimdayinfo.org

Isn’t that just so politically correct? Isn’t that just so progressive? Cadets, feel free to just rip off your uniform and put those skinny jeans on to show how much empathy you have for victims of sexual assault and harassment. Last year it was red high heels. This year it’s Calvin Klein’s.

And, for you transgender cadets, let it all hang out. Guys, wear that lipstick with the jeans, maybe some high heels too. Be yourself, no one there cares, especially the cadre. After all, they let a communist graduate.

No, it’s not an episode of the Twilight Zone. It’s another day in Mattis’ Military. You remember General Mattis. He was the tough hombre with the PX haircut and the big book collection who was going to kick in the door to the PC saloon at the Pentagon and kick some butt and take names.

Then, he met Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and the Mad Dog became a Chihuahua. Sometime during his confirmation hearing he surrendered his family jewels to her in a US Government mason jar and never looked back.

And, the castration of the US military marches on at March 4. (Read more from “Good Morning Campers – It’s Denim Day at West Point!” HERE)

7 Things You Need to Know About the West Point Communist Saga

The U.S. Army is probing a West Point graduate’s pro-communist posts on social media. His father has condemned his political views on social media, and this graduate’s West Point professor has now been placed on administrative leave.

If you haven’t been following the saga, you may be overwhelmed by trying to figure out “what exactly is going on?” Here are the facts:

1. His name is Spenser Rapone, and he is a communist.

This week, 2nd Lt. Spenser Rapone, a graduate of West Point Military Academy, posted pro-communist images on social media, including a picture of him holding up his military hat with the message “Communism will win” written inside, and another image revealing a Che Guevara shirt underneath his military uniform.

Rapone’s Twitter account, @punkproletarian, has been protected (with original tweets unavailable to view). Sunday, Rapone wrote #VeteransForKaepernick, expressing support for last weekend’s NFL anthem protests.

Monday, he clarified that he is indeed a communist, writing, “In case there was any lingering doubt, hasta la Victoria siempre” — the lyrics to a 1965 song by Cuban composer Carlos Puebla honoring communist revolutionary Che Guevara, who ran La Cabana, Castro’s prison for political opponents of communism.

2. The Army is investigating Rapone’s tweets

After public outrage at Rapone’s promotion of communism in uniform, the U.S. Army released a statement Tuesday saying “Second Lieutenant Rapone’s actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army.”

“As figures of public trust, members of the military must exhibit exemplary conduct, and are prohibited from engaging in certain expressions of political speech in uniform. Second Lieutenant Rapone’s chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter. The academy is prepared to assist the officer’s chain of command as required,” the statement said.

3. Rapone’s past statements may have violated military code

Rapone isn’t just in trouble for disrespecting the uniform of the U.S. military. In additional tweets, Rapone denigrated Secretary of Defense James Mattis and Vice President Mike Pence with vulgar insults.

Rapone referred to Sec. Mattis as “the most vile, evil fuck in the current administration” and to the vice president as “a fucking medieval, cold-blooded killer.” He’s also tweeted that he’ll “happily” dance on Arizona Sen. John McCain’s grave.

According to Jonah Bennett and The Daily Caller, Rapone’s statements have have violated Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, which states: “Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.”

The maximum punishment for this violation is dismissal from the military, forfeiture of all military pay, and up to a year in prison.

4. Rapone’s father, an elected official, disavowed his son’s politics … and hinted those views have changed drastically

Rapone’s father is Lawrence County (Pennsylvania) Treasurer Richard Rapone. In a Facebook post that has since been deleted, the senior Rapone repudiated his son’s radical politics, expressing much disappointment in his son.

“I disavow his political views and overall politics,” he wrote. “I am very disappointed in the direction he has chosen and as his father it greatly saddens me.

He went on to write that his son was not always a radical communist and once was very patriotic.

“As a young man, Spenser personified patriotism and in high school was a member of the Civil Air Patrol,” he recounts. “He applied to be a West Point cadet and at that time he was not selected. He enlisted in the United States Army right out of high school. Later, he served as an Army Ranger and was deployed to Afghanistan on special mission. He applied once again to West Point and was accepted.”

“It’s my belief when he returned back from Afghanistan there was a notable difference in his political views,” Richard Rapone wrote. “Spenser is my son and I love him dearly however I do not like nor condone his politics, his actions or behavior.”

5. The congressman who nominated Rapone to West Point has also disavowed him

Former Pennsylvania Rep. Jason Altmire told The Daily Caller Wednesday he finds Rapone’s words “indefensible.”

“Several years ago, I met Spenser Rapone when he was a high school student seeking an appointment to West Point,” Altmire said. “At the time, he was an outstanding, well-rounded student who came from a good family. I have not been in touch with him in the years since the appointment, and I was shocked and extremely disappointed in the recent reports of his indefensible actions.”

“The behavior of 2nd Lieutenant Rapone is symbolic of a larger problem in our society — the epidemic of incivility in our public discourse,” Altmire continued. “While I strongly support the rights of American citizens to express their opinions, the actions of 2nd Lieutenant Rapone are abhorrent and appear to be in clear violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, in addition to being inconsistent with the values of the United States Military Academy. I have no doubt that the U.S. Army will take appropriate action.”

6. Rapone’s mentor at West Point is now on administrative leave

While attending West Point, Spenser Rapone was mentored by Rasheed Hosein, a professor of Middle East history, who is now on administrative leave for reasons unknown. Hosein holds a Ph.D in Islamic history from the University of Chicago. His biography on the West Point website lists Rapone as one of several “cadets advised.”

A West Point spokesman told Breitbart News that Hosein’s leave is unrelated to Rapone.

According to Breitbart News, photos from Rapone’s Facebook page indicate that in 2014, Rapone accompanied Hosein on a trip to the Taj Mahal. Breitbart News’ Kristina Wong writes, “a review of Rapone’s Facebook page shows that over time, since 2014, his posts became increasingly anti-racism, anti-Israel, pro-Muslim, pro-Communist, anti-military, and anti-police.”

7. A Democratic Socialists of America veterans’ group is coming to Rapone’s defense

2nd Lt. Rapone is a self-declared card-carrying member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). A Twitter account for veterans associated with the DSA tweeted their support and “pride” in Rapone.

Muslim West Point Professor Mentored ‘Communism Will Win’ Cadet; See Outrageous Pics

By Kristina Wong. The West Point mentor of a soldier now under investigation by the Army for engaging in political activity while in uniform is on administrative leave, Breitbart News has learned.

The adviser is Rasheed Hosein, a professor of Middle East history, who was in charge of Second Lieutenant Spenser Rapone’s development at West Point.

A West Point spokesman confirmed he is on administrative leave but said it is unrelated to Rapone.

“We are unable to provide information regarding administrative actions but can confirm that the details are unrelated to 2nd Lieutenant Rapone,” the spokesman said. (Read more from “Muslim West Point Professor Mentored ‘Communism Will Win’ Soldier” HERE)

West Pointer is an Apparent Commie

By Fox News. A U.S. Military Academy graduate who posed with a sign reading “Communism will win” and posted pro-Colin Kaepernick messages on social media is now being ripped by the former Democratic congressman who helped him get into the prestigious school.

Ex-Rep. Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania, who served from 2007 to 2013, told The Daily Caller that Second Lt. Spenser Rapone – who is now the focus of an Army investigation – has let him down.

“Several years ago, I met Spenser Rapone when he was a high school student seeking an appointment to West Point,” Altmire said. “At the time, he was an outstanding, well-rounded student who came from a good family. I have not been in touch with him in the years since the appointment, and I was shocked and extremely disappointed in the recent reports of his indefensible actions”. . .

Army will take appropriate action,” Altmire told The Daily Caller.

The Army said in a statement Tuesday that “Rapone’s chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter.” The photos began circulating online over the weekend. (Read more about the officer who was mentored by Muslim West Point professor HERE)
