Powerful Hurricane Looms in Pacific, Could Be First of 2018 to Hit U.S.

A powerful and rare storm is brewing in the Pacific Ocean and threatens to hit one Hawaiian island for the first time in more than a quarter of a century.

According to Fox News, Hurricane Lane was identified this week about 450 miles to the south-southeast of Kailua-Kona, which is located on the big island of Hawaii.

The Central Pacific Hurricane Center issued an advisory Tuesday morning, describing the storm as a Category 4 hurricane with sustained winds as high as 150 miles per hour.

It was moving at about 12 miles per hour at the time of the report and is expected to weaken as it heads toward possible landfall.

“Hurricane conditions are possible within the Hurricane Watch area on Thursday,” according to the advisory. “Excessive rainfall associated with Lane is expected to affect portions of the Hawaiian Islands on Wednesday into the weekend, leading to flash flooding and landslides.”

Both Hawaii and Maui counties have been added to the hurricane watch region. Whether Lane remains a hurricane or is downgraded to a tropical storm, experts say it could wreak havoc on the island state.

Fox News Senior Meteorologist Janice Dean said forecasts show the storm heading “very close” to land, but as of the latest reports it was unclear which path it would take.

“What is uncertain is the exact track and how strong the system will be as it approaches land,” she said.

The meteorologist noted how uncommon landfall in this area of the U.S. is, explaining only three have hit Kauai in recorded history. The latest was in 1992 with Hurricane Iniki. Hurricanes Iwa and Dot preceded it in 1982 and 1959, respectively.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the National Weather Service in Honolulu announced a flash flood watch would be in effect for 28 Hawaii counties from 6 a.m. Wednesday to 6 p.m. Friday.

Local officials are similarly expressing caution and advising preparation ahead of the storm’s arrival later this week.

“Some people might say, ‘Another hurricane, it didn’t hit us last time. We don’t need to worry,’” Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell said.

Instead, he said Hawaiians have “got to plan for the worst and hope for the best.”

Maui’s mayor agreed.

“Anyone who is waiting until the storm hits to prepare will find themselves running around at the last minute and standing in line at the gas stations and grocery stores,” Alan Arakawa advised. “So prepare now and avoid being on the road when you should be safe at home.” (For more from the author of “Powerful Hurricane Looms in Pacific, Could Be First of 2018 to Hit U.S.” please click HERE)

Mollie Tibbetts, Missing Iowa Student, Found Dead, Her Father Says

By Fox News. The body of missing college student Mollie Tibbetts was found Tuesday, her father and two sources told Fox News, bringing an end to an intensive search that lasted more than a month and captured national headlines.

Tibbetts’ father, Rob Tibbetts, told Fox News the body found is that of his 20-year-old daughter, who vanished in mid-July.

A law enforcement source earlier told Fox News the body was found in Iowa, but more specific details about the location were not released. Iowa Department of Public Safety said a body was discovered in Poweshiek County.

Greg Willey, the vice president of Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa, also told the Associated Press the body found Tuesday is believed to be Tibbetts. . .

Tibbetts, a University of Iowa student, was reported missing after she failed to respond to messages from her boyfriend, Dalton Jack, and did not show up for work. She was last seen jogging around Brooklyn around 7:30 p.m. on July 18 and was staying with her boyfriend and working while home from school over the summer. She would have started her junior year of college this week. (Read more from “Mollie Tibbetts, Missing Iowa Student, Found Dead, Her Father Says” HERE)

FBI Confirms: Despite Democrat’s Claims, No New Evidence That Russia Hacked State Voting System

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security have told Florida’s top election official that they are unaware of Russian efforts to hack into the Sunshine State’s voting systems, as Florida Sen. Bill Nelson claimed earlier this month.

In the letter, obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation, FBI Director Christopher Wray and DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner that U.S. officials “have not seen new or ongoing compromises of state or local election infrastructure in Florida.”

“Russian government actors have previously demonstrated both the intent and capability to conduct malicious cyber operations,” they added.

Nelson, a Democrat, claimed during an Aug. 7 campaign event that Russian hackers had infiltrated some Florida counties’ voter registration systems. He said that leaders on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence asked him to “let supervisors of elections in Florida know that Russians are inside our records.”

Russians “have already penetrated certain counties in the state and they now have free rein to move about,” said Nelson, who faces a tough re-election fight in November against current Florida Gov. Rick Scott. (Read more from “FBI Confirms: Despite Democrat’s Claims, No New Evidence That Russia Hacked State Voting System” HERE)

NOVEMBER IS COMING: I Don’t Want You to Get Paranoid About the Midterms, but It’s Time to Get Paranoid About the Midterms

By Doug Ross. If you don’t show up in November, these will be your new leaders in Congress:

Impeachment proceedings? Non-stop subpoenas? More appeasement of China and Iran? Marxists in Congress?

Start mobilizing your family, your friends, your colleagues now. It is our mission to send these Communists packing in November. If you don’t turn out, if we don’t turn out, the #MAGA experiment is over.

Volunteer. And vote in November Like Your Life Depends On It. (For more from the author of “November Is Coming: I Don’t Want You to Get Paranoid About the Midterms, but It’s Time to Get Paranoid About the Midterms” please click HERE)

What to Expect if the Democrats Win the Midterms

By Robert Oscar Lopez. Would conservatives achieve an easy victory against the left if it came down to civil war? The question seems less absurd by the day as tensions increase between the right and left. Many conservative writers seem to think the left would fold quickly and the right would triumph.

One has good reason to doubt that. Consider basic issues like political bias in universities, or religious integrity. After decades of exposés and outcries from conservatives over liberal tyranny, universities are as biased as they ever were. Past cases of anti-conservative persecution (including mine) remain unaddressed.

Meanwhile, in the world of Masterpiece Cakeshop, conservatives celebrate a largely toothless victory at the Supreme Court over a wedding cake for two men. While a small fortune went to defending a Colorado pastry chef who wouldn’t make a cake for a ceremony approximating a wedding, a dozen states have banned “conversion therapy” in terms so broad that many church ministries will be outlawed.

The LGBT movement is no longer worried about taking over state legislatures to stop religious liberty laws. Soon they won’t have to do that. They are gaining in power at the denominational governance level of Christian churches and changing doctrine so religious liberty will not even be an issue. The religious position itself will be so thoroughly corrupted that no Christians will have “deeply felt” convictions against homosexuality.

I am nowhere near as confident as Kurt Schlichter that the right wing could trounce the left wing in battle. . . It is true that conservatives have more guns and are probably better street fighters. But conservatives also cave in large numbers even when their most sacred cows are in danger – such as the First Amendment or Christian principles. The two latter issues sit at the core of academic bias and debates on sexuality, respectively. I have the war wounds from both battles and can attest to the repeating scenario: conservatives talk and talk about what they believe and how bad the left is. Then they give up droves when it comes time to fight. (Read more from this story HERE)

Microsoft Uncovers New Russian Hacking Attempts Targeting Republicans Ahead of Midterm Elections

By AP. Microsoft said Tuesday it has uncovered new Russian hacking attempts targeting U.S. political groups ahead of the midterm elections.

The company said that a hacking group tied to the Russian government created fake internet domains that appeared to spoof two American conservative organizations: the Hudson Institute and the International Republican Institute. Three other fake domains were designed to look as if they belonged to the U.S. Senate. . .

The revelation came just weeks after a similar Microsoft discovery led Sen. Claire McCaskill, a Missouri Democrat who is running for re-election, to reveal that Russian hackers tried unsuccessfully to infiltrate her Senate computer network. Who Did You Vote For in Alaska Tuesday?

I experienced firsthand the consequences of Alaska’s fraud-laced election system in 2010. Dozens of volunteers discovered (and signed affidavits attesting to) widespread vote fraud during the so-called recount in Juneau. Frankly, our voting system is one of the worst in the nation, a flat-out embarrassment to our great state.

Regrettably, vote integrity can only be restored through either the concerted effort of the legislature or the unwavering commitment of a strong lieutenant governor. One candidate for lieutenant governor has demonstrated that he has no interest in curing Alaska’s corrupt voting system. That candidate – Kevin Meyer – has been part of the Republican establishment for years and participated in the white-washed legislative hearings in 2010 regarding voting problems. He has historically done nothing to cure the voting issues in Alaska. Because of that, I recommend strongly against any vote for Kevin Meyer.

With respect to governor, there appears to be only one conservative choice this election: Mike Dunleavy. Although some voters have expressed concern with the executive abilities of Senator Dunleavy versus his opponent, Mead Treadwell, Treadwell’s past commitment to the destructive establishment-wing of the GOP cannot be understated. The primary evidence of this? He has always been a strong supporter of Alaska’s pro-abortion senator, Lisa Murkowski. Senator Dunleavy, on the other hand, was a financial supporter of Citizens for Joe Miller, and has since committed to me to be an unequivocally pro-life, pro-PFD, pro-gun, liberty-minded governor.

Yes, voting in Alaska has lost much of its allure as the dirty trappings of corruption have been revealed over recent elections. Watching my races – or the legislative race this past election where a judge found fraud – many people have lost faith in Alaska’s elections. Nevertheless, Kathleen and I choose to continue to vote, trust in God, and keep our powder dry.

Journalist Has ‘Most Damning’ Videos on Planned Parenthood’s Baby Body Part Sales, but Courts Are Shutting Him Up

Center for Medical Progress (CMP) founder and investigative journalist David Daleiden is trying to lift a gag order prohibiting him from releasing at least a dozen undercover videos which allegedly further expose Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers’ unsavory and possibly illegal organ-harvesting operation.

Daleiden told the media that his attorneys are filing motions to lift a gag order so he can release the videos, which he says “includes some of the most damning and incriminating footage we ever recorded.”

CMP began releasing disturbing undercover footage of the abortion industry leader in 2015, showing Planned Parenthood officials openly haggling over the prices of body parts of aborted babies and nonchalantly discussing their gruesome procurement methods.

The videos were largely buried or ripped apart by the mainstream media (who care so much about a “free press”), and the abortion lobby found a new enemy in Daleiden, targeting him with lawsuits and working overtime to discredit the Center for Medical Progress’ work. The National Abortion Federation (NAF) — the organization which put on the two conferences where CMP journalists interacted with abortion officials — successfully shut up Daleiden with a federal suit.

“We’re pressing for the entire thing to be dismissed,” said Daleiden, according to The Washington Free Beacon. “You could expect a solid dozen more videos really in the same vein as the original undercover [material]. … This gag order should be dissolved in October, and we should be able to release the tapes at that time.” (Read more from “Journalist Has ‘Most Damning’ Videos on Planned Parenthood’s Baby Body Part Sales, but Courts Are Shutting Him Up” HERE)

Kentucky Dem Tells Voters She’s Moderate; Privately Tells Far-Left Donors the Truth

A Kentucky Congressman in a 2018 midterm battleground congressional district has released a new ad featuring recorded audio of his opponent, at a Democratic fundraiser, claiming she is more progressive than “anybody in the state of Kentucky.”

Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky., sent his new ad in a tweet Monday morning, slamming his Democratic opponent, Amy McGrath, as “too liberal for Kentucky.”

The ad features McGrath speaking at a Democratic fundraiser in Massachusetts, describing her political principles.

“I am further left, I’m more progressive, than anybody in the state of Kentucky,” McGrath says.

McGrath, a Marine and former fighter pilot, has positioned herself in public as a more moderate Democrat who could win election in so-called Trump country. She claims to be a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, fiscally conservative, and an independent-minded Democrat who would not be a “puppet of the party.”

But behind closed doors when she’s asking for money, she tells Democratic donors that she’s the furthest-left Democrat in the Bluegrass State. (For more from the author of “Kentucky Dem Tells Voters She’s Moderate; Privately Tells Far-Left Donors the Truth” please click HERE)

The Dossier: Is This the Right Plan to Win the Long War in Afghanistan?

Trump reportedly considering new Afghanistan plan

President Trump has never been particularly happy with the Afghanistan war plan, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that he is reportedly entertaining various options on how to reduce U.S. troops’ footprint in the war-torn country.

According to NBC News, Trump has shown “renewed interest” in a plan drafted by Erik Prince, which calls for some private assets to replace American soldiers on the ground in Afghanistan. Prince, a former Navy SEAL and founder of the private military contracting giant Blackwater, has also acted as an unofficial adviser to Mr. Trump. Prince claims his plan, which calls for hiring private military contractors, would significantly reduce costs.

Many have taken to social media to criticize the plan. However, it’s also important to note that the U.S. is now 17 years into the Afghanistan war and the status quo is a complete stalemate, or worse, a slow decline. There is no end to the war in sight, and American soldiers continue to die on a regular basis, fighting to protect what’s left of a highly corrupt foreign government. Moreover, there isn’t much evidence that any of the jihadi groups currently operating in Afghanistan pose much of a threat to the American homeland. There is seemingly no grand strategy to win the war or exit the country in a timely manner.

It’s easy to slam Prince’s plan as radical, unproductive, or morally inappropriate. But at least he has presented a plan to move on from the never-ending, resource-draining, American soldier-killing war in Afghanistan.

South Africa begins seizing white-owned farms

In a deeply troubling development, the South African government has approved the first seizures of white-owned farmland.

Representatives from the ruling African National Congress (ANC) reportedly offered white farmers only ten percent of their land’s value prior to the unilateral seizure. The ANC has endorsed and fanned the flames of a climate of extreme hostility against the nation’s white Afrikaner minority.

Drive-by shooting targeting U.S. embassy in Turkey

At around 5 a.m. local time Monday, a drive-by shooting targeted the U.S. embassy in Ankara, Turkey. The suspects fired several shots before taking off. No one was hurt in the incident.

Tensions continue to increase between the United States and Turkey. The Trump administration and the Erdogan regime are sparring over the imprisonment of U.S. Pastor Andrew Brunson. The United States government claims he is unfairly detained, while Ankara has claimed, without evidence, that he is a spy. It is believed that Turkey is using the pastor as a negotiating chip in seeking the extradition of U.S.-based cleric Fethullah Gulen.

Manafort jury continues deliberations

Now into its third day of deliberations, a jury is currently deciding whether to convict former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort on charges related to tax evasion and bank fraud.

Although the legacy media is covering the case as if it’s the trial of the century, the charges against Manafort have nothing to do with his time on the Trump campaign or matters related supposed Russian collusion. LOL: This Gun-Grabbing Dem Is Considering a Presidential Run

So Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., said Monday that he’s open to running for president in 2020.

That’s right, the guy who made headlines for pushing for outright gun confiscation back in May and who peddles Obamacare via specious Thanksgiving anecdotes thinks he might somehow have a shot at winning the electoral college.

And why not? Because with Sens. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., all potentially running for the Oval Office, there might not be enough far-left coastal politicians in the next Democratic primary.

But even though his name recognition might not be anywhere near that of his fellow party members mentioned above, he’s shown that he can hang with the best of them when it comes to far-left shenanigans. Let’s take a look at some of his greatest hits.

When he appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox show to defend his extreme gun control stance, it didn’t go so well.

It got even worse when he tried to double down on his agenda a few days later. Like, really bad.

Then a few days later, he got into a Twitter fight with a Parkland survivor (and lost).

Then a few weeks later he went back on Tucker Carlson Tonight to talk about Spygate, and that didn’t go well for him, either.

He also likes to use gifs to push Russia theories while attacking the president’s daughter.

Yeah, he’s really big on the whole Russia thing, turns out:

But, Obama officials unmasking private citizens isn’t really that big a deal.

Oh, and he appears to be pretty sympathetic to the impeachment cause.

You know what? With the way 2020 is shaping up so far, if he does run, he’ll fit right in. (For more from the author of “LOL: This Gun-Grabbing Dem Is Considering a Presidential Run” please click HERE)

Americans Warming to What Some Call ‘Mark of the Beast’

When Patrick McMullan wants a Diet Dr Pepper while he’s at work, he pays for it with a wave of his hand. McMullan has a microchip implanted between his thumb and forefinger, and the vending machine immediately deducts money from his account. At his office, he’s one of dozens of employees who have been doing likewise for a year now.

McMullan is the president of Three Square Market, a technology company that provides self-service mini-markets to hospitals, hotels, and company break rooms. Last August, he became one of roughly 50 employees at its headquarters in River Falls, Wisconsin, who volunteered to have a chip injected into their hand.

The idea came about in early 2017, he says, when he was on a business trip to Sweden—a country where some people are getting subcutaneous microchips to do things like enter secure buildings or book train tickets. It’s one of very few places where chip implants, which have been around for quite a while, have taken off in some fashion.

The chips he and his employees got are about the size of a very large grain of rice. They’re intended to make it a little easier to do things like get into the office, log on to computers, and buy food and drinks in the company cafeteria. Like many RFID chips, they are passive—they don’t have batteries, and instead get their power from an RFID reader when it requests data from the chip (McMullan’s chip includes identifying information to grant him access to the building, as well as some basic medical information, for instance).

A year into their experiment, McMullan and a few employees say they are still using the chips regularly at work for all the activities they started out with last summer. Since then, an additional 30 employees have gotten the chips, which means that roughly 80 of the company’s now 250 employees, or nearly a third, are walking, talking cyborgs.
