Big Mistake Led to Leak of Damning Info About Broward County Schools’ Handling of Nikolas Cruz

Broward County school officials made a huge mistake that resulted in the publication of private information about the student charged with murdering 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School — and now they’re going after the reporters who published the info, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

The school district has asked that the Sun Sentinel and two of its reporters who published the private information be held in contempt of court for taking advantage of the school system’s mistake.

“They opted to report, publicly, information that this court had ordered to be redacted despite agreeing, on the record, that this information was protected by both Florida and federal law,” the district claims, according to court records.

Reporters and editors at the paper stand by the decision to release the information, and media lawyer Tom Julin doesn’t believe the paper did anything wrong.

“The problem is the School Board’s problem and not the Sun Sentinel’s,” Julin said. “The Sun Sentinel is entitled to publish the information that it lawfully obtained even if that information should have been redacted from the document that was released.” (Read more from “Big Mistake Led to Leak of Damning Info About Broward County Schools’ Handling of Nikolas Cruz” HERE)

Democrat Senator Offers ‘Chilling’ Statement on Infowars Ban – and Gets Scorched Online

Democratic Senator Chris Murphy from Connecticut offered a “chilling” commentary on the digital ban on the Infowars conspiracy website, and the response from social media was less than positive. . .

Infowars and its chief personality Alex Jones have been criticized widely for spreading false news and conspiracy theories, but many more are criticizing how the company has been banned by many social media companies. The social media platforms accused Jones and Inforwars of bullying and the use of hate speech to justify their actions.

. . .

Senator Murphy’s demand that more voices be stifled was not met with a cheery reaction from many on social media.

“This is a little…alarmist,” said Brian Phillips of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. “Not a single person I know – right, left, middle, Republican, Democrat, Independent, in politics or out, whatever level of engagement of current events – is even remotely influenced by anything said on InfoWars.”

“The survival of our democracy depends on the restriction of free speech? This is a chilling comment from a government official,” responded conservative commentator Matt Walsh. “If his constituents care at all about freedom, they will make him pay for it come election time.” (Read more from “Democrat Senator Offers ‘Chilling’ Statement on Infowars Ban – and Gets Scorched Online” HERE)

Ex-Marine Turned ISIS Sympathizer Plots California Attack

A California judge has sentenced a 27-year-old California man to 15 years in federal prison for attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State and plotting a terrorist attack at Pier 39 in San Francisco, KPIX-TV reported.

U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. O’Neill handed down the sentence to Everitt Aaron Jameson of Modesto on Monday as part of a plea deal with federal prosecutors. . .

The FBI began watching Jameson after he “liked” or “loved” Facebook posts about terrorist attacks and the Islamic State, according to court documents, CNN reported. He also expressed support for the New York City terrorist attack on Oct. 31, 2017.

Undercover FBI agents, who posed as ISIS supporters, made contact with Jameson and interacted with him. In later communications, Jameson expressed his readiness to do whatever was needed and that his military training in combat and war had prepared him to do the job. . .

Jameson told the agent about his desire to use explosives in an attack on Pier 39, a popular Bay Area tourist destination, adding that Christmas Day “was the perfect day for the attack,” according to CNN. (Read more from “Ex-Marine Turned ISIS Sympathizer Plots California Attack” HERE)

SWAT Brings out the Big Guns When Anti-ICE Protesters Try Blockading Federal Building

By Conservative Tribune. The hot new thing to do on the left these days in response to President Donald Trump’s no-nonsense, “zero tolerance” policies on illegal immigration is to protest and call for the abolition of the agency tasked with upholding such laws, namely the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. . .

The latest gambit of this sort occurred this week in the Denver area as protesters set up camp on Sunday along the public sidewalk in front of the Centennial ICE facility in Aurora, Colorado, only to see their efforts busted up by police on Thursday, according to The Hill. . .

Unlike in Portland, where the local law enforcement agencies essentially “stood down” and allowed protesters to wreak havoc for weeks against the federal officials — leaving it almost entirely up to federal agents to clear out the area so the mess could be cleaned up — local law enforcement agencies in Colorado stepped up and provided an assist to their federal colleagues who were being harassed and targeted by the antics of the unlawfully assembled group.

The Denver Post reported that a SWAT team with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene late Thursday afternoon and began the process of detaching the protesters from each other and taking them into custody.

Armed with riot gear, rifles and power tools, the sheriff’s office SWAT team used those power tools to carefully cut through the cylinders and chains to separate the protesters that had stretched themselves across the entrance/exit of the facility, preventing anyone from coming or going in a vehicle, according to KDVR. Trump to Nominate Vitiello for Top Job at ICE

By The Washington Post. The White House announced Monday that President Trump intends to nominate Ronald D. Vitiello to head the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, potentially averting a confirmation showdown by choosing an experienced law enforcement official for the role.

Vitiello, a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Border Patrol, was named acting director of ICE last month. Trump’s previous pick for the job, Thomas Homan, stepped down after his nomination process stalled and Republican leaders did not bring his confirmation up for a vote in the Senate. Canadians Declare a Boycott on American Products to Punish Donald Trump. There’s One BIG Problem.

Canadian consumers are launching a “boycott” of American goods, The Wall Street Journal reports, in retaliation for Trump Administration tariffs and President Donald Trump’s penchant for poking fun at their beloved Prime Minister.

But there’s one big problem: many of the consumer products Canadians believe are made in Canada are actually made in the United States, or by American corporations.

The “boycott” officially began in July, in response to the Trump Administration’s new 20% tariff on Canadian steel (and a host of other, less significant tariffs on things like Canadian aluminum), and after President Donald Trump called Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “weak” at a meeting of the “group of 7.” Angry at being disrespected, Canadians pledged to purge their shopping carts of anything made below their southern border.

“Usually we don’t pay that much attention to it,” one Canadian consumer told the WJS. “You tend to buy the products that taste good or you buy the products that are low in price where taste isn’t an issue.” But, he added, this summer it got personal.

Most products assumed to be Canadian, though, are actually American. Old Dutch chips, for example, are mostly consumed in Canada, but are made in Minnesota. And, it turns out, Americans make a lot of products that people use every day. Canadians might be able to do without Heinz ketchup, but they probably won’t give up drinking Starbucks or Coca-Cola, using Apple and Microsoft technology, eating at McDonalds and Pizza! Pizza! (the local iteration of Little Caesars) or wearing American-made clothing. If they do, they’ll hurt local Canadian franchise owners before they harm American business interests. After Being Destroyed Twice, This Is Now Happening to Trump’s Hollywood Star

The West Hollywood City Council called Monday night for President Trump’s star be removed from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to a tweet by the city’s mayor.

“West Hollywood City council unanimously passes resolution asking the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the Donald Trump star on Hollywood Walk of Fame,” cheered Mayor John Duran on Twitter.

During the meeting, Mr. Duran said the resolution “is not because of his conservative politics or his conservative policies. It is for the abuse of women, minorities, immigrants, the disabled … you’ve crossed a line of decency.” . . .

“Unfortunately some of the comments made by the Trump supporters tonight are a reflection of that anger and angst and divisiveness. If anyone ever needed to solidify my vote on this, the Trump supporters who showed up tonight … pretty much solidified that what we’re doing is right.”

The Council put the resolution on its “consent calendar” for what it describes as “routine matters [that] can be acted on by one motion.” (Read more from “After Being Destroyed Twice, This Is Now Happening to Trump’s Hollywood Star” HERE)

Dems Step on Their Own Gender PC Rake and Get Slammed Right in the Face

A conservative state lawmaker in Massachusetts demonstrated exceptionally well how conservatives need to fight in state legislatures last week, single-handedly defeating a bill that would allow people to list their genders as “X” on driver’s licenses or other forms of state ID.

Massachusetts Senate President Karen Spilka, D-Ashland, introduced S.2562, which would allow an individual to check “X” instead of male or female at the Registry of Motor Vehicles when the person is applying for a driver’s license, permit, or other form of identification. Praising the bill as a “joyous occasion” for kids’ lives, Spilka said if it would help people feel more comfortable in their gender confusion, “Why not do it?”

“There’s no reason for somebody to have to check off a box of male or female on their license,” she said, according to MassLive.

Social conservatives objected, and Rep. Jim Lyons, R-Andover, decided to throw the Democrats’ gender political correctness right back in their faces, claiming the proposed bill was discriminatory. Only listing three genders — male, female, and “X” — left out those who identify as “gender fluid,” or “gender questioning,” or “trigender,” “trans male,” “trans woman,” “androgynous,” “pangender,” or any one of Facebook’s 73 gender options, and Lyons was ready to do something about it.

The conservative lawmaker prepared 73 amendments to the bill to include each and every gender listed by Facebook. None of his proposed amendments could be ruled out of order, and under House rules, each required 10 minutes of debate with three minutes for a roll call vote. That’s over 15 hours of legislative time. If Democrats really wanted to include this piece of PC gender theory propaganda in law, they would have to go on record opposing each gender amendment vote and delay important votes on real issues.

The Massachusetts legislature’s website shows that Lyons was able to introduce 29 of his amendments before the Democrats surrendered and pulled the bill.

The Boston Herald’s Howie Carr reports that leaving the House building, a reporter asked Lyons why he tanked the gender “X” bill.

“Are you saying you want to leave some genders behind?” Lyons replied.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you turn a premise against the Left and whack them over the heads with it to defeat their dumb proposed laws.

Bravo. (For more from the author of “Dems Step on Their Own Gender PC Rake and Get Slammed Right in the Face” please click HERE)

Watch: Facebook Blocked This Republican Asian Woman’s Campaign Ad

. . .Facebook has reportedly blocked a California congressional candidate’s campaign from using a video as an ad on the social media platform because they deemed it “shocking, disrespectful or sensational.”

The Christian Post reports that Facebook blocked 33-year-old Republican Elizabeth Heng’s video which shows “her America immigrant parents, who survived brutalities by the Khmer Rouge communists during the Cambodian Civil War.”

Maxine Waters Gets Her Wish: Antifa Mob ATTACKS Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens

Two of Turning Point USA’s leaders were accosted by protesters they say were Antifa in Philadelphia Monday morning, according to videos posted to Twitter.

Turning Point USA communications director Candace Owens tweeted a video saying she and Charlie Kirk, the organization’s founder and president, were “ATTACKED” and protested while they were eating breakfast in Philadelphia, Penn.

In the video, one person dumps a glass of water on Kirk. Antifa can be heard screaming “f*ck white supremacy.” In a follow-up video posted by Owens, they chant “1-2-3, f*ck the bourgeois!”

“This is the face of the Democrats,” Kirk tweeted, saying Antifa issued death threats against him and Owens. He added that “conservatives aren’t safe” and pointed out these are exactly the kind of tactics Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., called for leftist activists to employ against members of the Trump administration and conservatives.

“If you think we’re rallying now you ain’t seen nothing yet,” Waters said at a rally in Los Angeles in June. “If you see anybody from that [Trump] Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” (For more from the author of “Maxine Waters Gets Her Wish: Antifa Mob Attacks Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens” please click HERE)

Tech Giants Facebook, Apple, Youtube Ditch Controversial Infowars Star Alex Jones

Controversial Infowars star Alex Jones’ removal from Facebook, YouTube, Apple and Spotify over the past 24 hours, prompting even some of the bomb thrower’s staunch critics to voice censorship concerns.

Jones is a notorious conspiracy theorist who has been widely criticized for a variety of outlandish and polarizing content including discredited claims about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Apple removed Jones’ podcasts on Sunday and then YouTube and Facebook both declared on Monday that he was violating their terms and policies with his rhetoric. Spotify also removed all episodes of “The Alex Jones Show” from its service. Jones quickly became one of the top trends across social media with critics celebrating that he was pulled from the tech giants and others coming to his defense — sort of.

Media Research Center President Brent Bozell echoed many pundits, stating that, while Jones is not to be taken seriously, censoring him could result in further actions against people that aren’t accepted by the mainstream media.

“I don’t support Alex Jones and what InfoWars produces. He’s not a conservative. However, banning him and his outlet is wrong. It’s not just a slippery slope, it’s a dangerous cliff that these social media companies are jumping off to satisfy CNN and other liberal outlets,” Bozell said, presumably referring to recent push by CNN to have Info Wars removed from various platforms.
