On Alex Jones, We Fall for the Banana in the Tailpipe Again

Alex Jones is a clown. A fraud. A pox on our collective house. Which is why progressives are targeting him right now, because they want him to be the face of Republicans in the coming pre-election months.

And so far, so good.

Many of the arguments addressing his recent banishment from various social media platforms so far have been too smart by half, attempting to keep Jones at arm’s length while also making common cause with him for the sake of free speech.

How do you think such nuance is going to go over in today’s world, where a clip I recently played on my show highlighted Ivy League students at Columbia who have no idea what rights are protected in the First Amendment? I’ll take “No Chance” for $500, Alex.

So we will be needlessly associated with a loon who has a rap sheet like this:

The New York Times hired Alex Jones to sit on its editorial board last week despite a years-long track record of racist and violent tweets like “I wanna cut all those white people.”

Alex Jones followed up his near-miss run to become the Democrat Party’s standard-bearer for president in 2016 with an inquisition-like probing of Office of Management and Budget deputy director nominee Russell Vought because he was, gasp, a Christian who believed Christian stuff.

Easily disprovable propaganda issued by Alex Jones led to the banning of plastic drinking straws in many parts of America because, naturally, almost none of the plastic debris that is overwhelming some of the world’s waterways actually comes from America.

The drip, drip, drip of fake news from Alex Jones led to the near-assassination last year of Republican Rep. Steve Scalise when a fan went on a rampage that would almost certainly have led to countless deaths were it not for the presence of Secret Service agents at a congressional softball practice.

Alex Jones has read to children at public libraries across the country while dressed in drag.

Alex Jones murders roughly a million babies every year across the country and was recently behind a campaign to promote risky sexual behavior through slogans like “f*** whoever the f*** we want.”

Alex Jones keeps encouraging the white leftist mob that has recently said terribly racist things to the likes of Candace Owens and my CRTV colleague Jon Miller – both of whom are black.

Alex Jones made the concept of “democratic socialism” great again.

Alex Jones destroyed the Hollywood Walk of Fame star of someone he politically disagrees with using a pickax, then voted to have that star permanently removed while leaving a nearby star honoring a sexual predator.

Alex Jones made a total jackass of himself by not being able to tell the difference between satire and the news when he made my CRTV colleague Allie Stuckey an even bigger star than she already was.

Data now shows that Alex Jones actually increased anxiety among college students by introducing so-called “trigger warnings” before “controversial” content.

Alex Jones established “judgment-free zones” at his Planet Fitness health clubs. Then he revoked the membership of a female member because she was uncomfortable with a man undressing in front of her in the women’s locker room. Yet when another man completely undressed on a yoga mat at a Planet Fitness just a few weeks ago in front of everyone, they had him arrested.

Alex Jones is why we know who Michelle Wolf is now and why she has a platform to say things like “God bless abortions.”

Judicial Watch Obtains Emails Showing Podesta Group’s Work for Pro-Russia Ukrainian Political Party

Judicial Watch today released new documents from the U.S. Department of State showing the Podesta Group working on behalf of the pro-Russia Ukrainian political group “Party of Regions.” The new documents also show longtime Obama and Clinton counselor John Podesta lobbying on behalf of his brother’s firm.

Judicial Watch obtained the documents in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the State Department filed on November 20, 2017, (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:17-cv-02489)). The lawsuit was filed after the State Department failed to respond to a September 13, 2017, FOIA request for:

All records of communication between any official, employee, or representative of the Department of State and any principal, employee, or representative of Podesta Group, Inc.

All records produced related to any meetings or telephonic communications between any official, employee, or representative of the Department of State and any principal, employee, or representative of Podesta Group, Inc.

All records regarding the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine.

The FOIA request covers the timeframe of January 1, 2012 to the present.

A March 28, 2013, email from now-Deputy Executive Secretary in the Office of the Secretary of State Baxter Hunt shows the Podesta Group, led by Tony Podesta, a Clinton bundler and brother of Clinton’s 2016 campaign chairman John Podesta, represented the Party of Regions, a pro-Kremlin political party in Ukraine.

In the March 2013 email, to a number of officials including then-U.S. Foreign Service Officer John Tefft (who would go on to be U.S. Ambassador to Russia in 2014) and State Department director for the Office of Eastern Europe Alexander Kasanof, Hunt writes:

Ben Chang and Mark Tavlarides of the Podesta Group, which is representing the Party of Regions, told us they were working with Klyuyev on a visit he plans to make to Washington in early May. They are working to broaden the POR’s contacts on the Hill, including setting up a meeting for Klyuyev with Chris Smith, and have advised Kyiv to stop trying to justify their actions against Tymoshenko in Washington. They also noted that during his recent meeting with former EC President Prodi, HFAC Chairman Ed Royce said that Congress would not be enacting sanctions legislation against Ukraine.

The Party of Regions served as the pro-Kremlin political base for Ukraine’s former President Viktor Yanukovych, who fled to Russia in 2014.

Like Paul Manafort, who is currently under indictment in the errant special counsel Russia investigation, the Podesta Group had to retroactively file Foreign Agent Registration Act disclosures with the Justice Department for Ukrainian-related work. The filing states that the Podesta group provided for the nonprofit European Centre for a Modern Ukraine “government relations and public relations services within the United States and Europe to promote political and economic cooperation between Ukraine and the West. The [Podesta Group] conducted outreach to congressional and executive branch offices, members of the media, nongovernmental organizations and think tanks.” Unlike Manafort and his partner Rick Gates, the Mueller special counsel operation hasn’t indicted anyone from the Podesta Group.

Also, the new emails show longtime Obama and Clinton counselor John Podesta, lobbying on behalf of the Podesta Group’s efforts to secure a maintenance facility from Jet Blue and Lufthansa for Puerto Rico.

In a June 27, 2013, email former U.S. Ambassador to Germany and current New Jersey Gov. Philip D. Murphy writes to John Podesta, Minister-Counselor for Economic Affairs at the American Embassy in Berlin Seth Winnick, and others:

Jet Blue and Lufthansa are considering 2 locations for a maintenance center – Puerto Rico or Mexico. The Governor of PR wants this badly. The question is can we get to LH at the right levels to make the case. Either John or colleague OR John’s brother Tony or colleague will get to us with more details.

Winnick then writes to John Podesta: “Washington alerted us to this advocacy issue and we are on it. Phil will try to connect in the next few days and we will follow up.”

Later that day, in an email sent to his brother Tony Podesta and Winnick, John Podesta writes: “Thanks Seth. The Governor is a friend of mine. My brother Tony represents Puerto Rico and will follow up with details.”

Winnick replies to John and Tony Podesta: “Happy to help on this one. I think we have the details we need for now from SelectUSA at Commerce but will come back if any issues arise.”

Puerto Rico was selected by the airlines for the facility to service A320s in 2014.

Judicial Watch is waiting to hear on any additional documents the State Department may produce in response to the FOIA lawsuit about the Podesta Group.

Federal Prosecutors Said to Be Investigating Lobbyist Tony Podesta After Special Counsel Referral

By CNBC. Federal prosecutors are investigating former lobbyist Tony Podesta, former Rep. Vin Weber, R-Minn., and former Obama White House Counsel Greg Craig, NBC News confirmed, citing multiple sources familiar with the matter.

CNN first reported the existence of the investigation.

Prosecutors for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York opened the investigation following a referral from the office of special counsel Robert Mueller, the sources told NBC.

NBC previously reported that Mueller had been looking into Podesta and his Democratic-leaning lobbying firm as part of its broader investigation into the finances of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort. Ex-Cheerleaders Blast NFL Hypocrisy, Claim Religious and Gender Discrimination

A former Miami Dolphins cheerleader says she was physically and verbally abused by her coach once it became known that she was a virgin and chose to wait for marriage as part of her Christian faith.

Kristan Ann Ware said she was also told she couldn’t post about God to social media, even as the team’s football players were kneeling to pray during games.

Ms. Ware quit the team last year and has filed an arbitration claim against the Dolphins and the National Football League, claiming religious and gender discrimination.

While the #MeToo movement sweeps the country and NFL players use their platform to draw attention to racism, cheerleaders say there is still plenty of room for improvement within the NFL, where a boys’ club atmosphere pervades the billion-dollar industry. . .

Cheerleaders for the Washington Redskins complained in April that the team’s management allowed VIP guests to watch the women in behind-the-scenes moments as they posed topless for a calendar during a 2013 photo shoot in Costa Rica. Some of the cheerleaders told The New York Times that they were also pushed to attend a nightclub with the VIPs, all men. Trump’s ‘Space Force’ Meeting Resistance in Pentagon

The Pentagon is moving ahead with President Trump’s call to establish a “Space Force” as a potential sixth branch of the U.S. armed forces, with top officials scrambling to tamp down reports of disagreement between military leaders and the White House ahead of a high-profile speech Thursday by Vice President Mike Pence.

Mr. Pence, the administration’s liaison with the Defense Department on the coming Space Force, will address reporters at the Pentagon on Thursday and is expected to formally release an internal military review of what it will take to create the new command.

But analysts and former military officials say the concept of a formal Space Force and the push to establish it quickly are being driven almost entirely by the White House and its allies on Capitol Hill, and that a skeptical Pentagon is grudgingly going along with the plan amid political pressure from the other side of the Potomac.

Indeed, insiders say the fact that the Pentagon delayed its long-awaited study on setting up a Space Force — initially scheduled to be released last week — could be evidence of behind-the-scenes dissension between military leaders and political officials inside the Trump administration. More broadly, specialists argue the entire concept of a Space Force as a wholly separate branch of the military is one that many Defense Department officials privately don’t support, but that they’re being strong-armed by an administration eager to make a lasting mark on U.S. military doctrine and to further cement American dominance in space.

One reason for the resistance — a fear the Space Force will take resources and budget dollars away from existing service branches and dilute their operational authority. For the Air Force, the realignment could mean surrendering control of existing space assets, satellites, launch sites and other ground operations to the new command. Florida Restaurant Takes a Stand Against the NFL – and Uses It to Help Veterans

By The Blaze. A Florida restaurant owner figured out a way to respond to national anthem protests in the NFL in a way that helps those whom the anthem honors, according to WTVT-TV.

The owners of Beef O’Brady’s restaurant in Brooksville are pulling their financial support of the league by cancelling the premium NFL television package, and they’re using the savings to benefit veterans.

“This is what we are doing, this is the stance we take, and the money we would’ve spent, we are going to spend on our vets,” said Curtis West, who owns the restaurant with his wife, Janet. . .

The Wests subscribed to the NFL Sunday Ticket Package through DIRECTV. This year, because of the national anthem protests the league has allowed, the restaurant is cancelling that package and giving a 40 percent discount to veterans on Sundays during the NFL season.

“Beef O’Brady’s will not be financially supporting the NFL this year due to their lack of compassion and gratitude for our American service members,” a poster in the restaurant reads. “Our national anthem is one of the methods we as American citizens have always used to show our appreciation to all military service members, past or present, alive or dead. Local Bar Won’t Buy NFL Package Because of Player Protests

By Fox 13. The issue of NFL national anthem protests has stirred up debate from coast to coast. And now, a Brooksville restaurant owner is taking a stand on kneeling.

Curtis and Janet West, who own Beef O’Brady’s on 31120 Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville, say they’re canceling their DIRECTV NFL Sunday Ticket package this season.

“Last year, with the kneeling and the disrespect to our veterans and our flag and our country, I was very upset,” said Curtis West.

“I am an American patriot,” West said. “I am not that kind of guy, but it makes me angry, it really does. The people that are doing the protests, I don’t believe their intention is to disrespect our veterans but that is what has come from this.”

NAACP Calls Trump Racist After Its Own Poll Shows Improved Black Approval Rating

A poll by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People shows that President Donald Trump’s approval rating among black voters is nearly three times higher than the percent of blacks who voted for him in 2016, but the NAACP said the poll just confirms Trump’s racism.

According to the report accompanying the poll results, Trump’s improved approval rating among black voters doesn’t override the perceived negative impact the president is having on race relations.

“Our analysis shows President Trump’s racism is a major factor in both why and how people will vote in the midterm elections,” NAACP President Derrick Johnson said. “The poll confirms how Trump’s racism has not only divided the nation and polluted policy, but also serves as a key factor in motivating voters of color to disrupt politics as usual on a national scale.”

The poll showed Trump’s approval rating among black voters as 21 percent. Trump only earned 8 percent of the black vote during the 2016 election.

Prosecutors: Siraj Wahhaj Was Training Starving Children at New Mexico Compound to Carry out School Shootings

Thirty-nine year old Siraj Wahhaj was arrested at a New Mexico compound on Friday after authorities discovered 11 starving children, three women and another man living together in squalor. The children range in age from 1-to-15 years old. Remains of a young child were also found on the property.

Wahhaj abducted his three-year-old son from Georgia late last year and took him to northern New Mexico, where he has been hiding in a third-world style shack for months. He reportedly kidnapped his son in order to conduct an “exorcism.” The boy suffered from brain damage and had difficulty walking. Wahhaj blamed his health issues on the devil. The mother of the boy still lives in Georgia. Wahhaj’s father is an Iman in Brooklyn and has direct ties to the 1991 bombing of the World Trade Center. From Fox News:

Wahhaj’s family background was already controversial prior to his arrest. Wahhaj is the son of a Brooklyn imam, also named Siraj Wahhaj, who was named by prosecutors as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the New York Post reported. The elder Wahhaj, who heads Masjid At-Taqwa mosque, was a character witness in the trial for Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman, the notorious “blind sheikh” who was convicted in 1995 of plotting terror attacks in the U.S.

But according to new information, Wahhaj was training some of the children at the compound to carry out school shootings. From AP:

CrossFit to Allow Transgender Athletes to Compete in Annual Event

Beginning in 2019, transgender CrossFit athletes will be permitted to choose whether they compete as men or as women in the annual CrossFit Games.

This shift represents a significant change in CrossFit’s policies. Since the competition’s inception in 2007, athletes have been required to register as either male or female, depending upon their actual biological sex. But CrossFit’s recent decision will change all of that.

According to the LGBTQ website them, CrossFit CEO and co-founder Greg Glassman announced the policy change last Friday. He was speaking at an LGBTQ-themed event titled “Big Gay Happy Hour,” designed to kick off the Reebok 2018 CrossFit Games being held in Madison, Wisconsin.

“In the 2019 CrossFit competitive season, starting with the Open, transgender athletes are welcome to participate in the division with which they identify,” Glassman said. “This is the right thing to do. CrossFit believes in the potential, capacity, and dignity of every athlete. We are proud of our LGBT community, including our transgender athletes, and we want you here with us.” . . .

BuzzFeed News reports that in 2014, personal trainer Chloie Jönsson sued CrossFit for $2.5 million in damages, for preventing him from competing as a woman. Jönsson is biologically male, but has allegedly identified as a woman since his teen years. CrossFit’s position at the time (as stated in a letter from the company’s lawyer to Jönsson’s attorney) was that, “The fundamental, ineluctable fact is that a male competitor who has a sex reassignment procedure still has a genetic makeup that confers a physical and physiological advantage over women.” (Read more from “CrossFit to Allow Transgender Athletes to Compete in Annual Event” HERE)

Gun Control Proposal Hopes to Make Gun Stores, Ranges Display This Outside Their Businesses

The Chair of the Kings County Council in Washington state has a gun control proposal he’s pushing for. The proposal takes a three-pronged approach to dealing with “gun violence” in the area but one of the proposals is new.

Joe McDermott (D), the Council Chair, wants to make it mandatory for gun stores and ranges to have safety warning signs outside of their facilities. He detailed his vision in an OpEd in the Seattle Times:

First, I propose that public safety warning signs be posted at any place of firearm sale or discharge in King County, which will articulate the very real and significant risks to health and life inherent with firearm ownership. These signs will also provide immediate contact information for suicide-prevention and mental-health resources for individuals who might be in crisis. Once passed by the Board of Health, signs will be placed at the entrances and purchase counters of every shooting range and store selling guns in King County.

In addition to the warning signs, McDermott wants to require “firearm owners to securely store their guns at all times — whether at home, in a car or anywhere else” and the county to destroy all guns that are forfeited during buyback programs. The third part of his proposal includes using evidence-based strategies for fighting gun violence.

FDA Acquiring Aborted Baby Parts for ‘Humanized Mice’

On July 25, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) signed a new contract to acquire human fetal tissue for purposes of transplanting into humanized mice.

“…the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Acquisitions and Grant Services (OAGS) intends to award a sole source contract to Advanced Bioscience Resources, Inc., ABR is the only company in the U. S. capable of supplying tissues suitable for HM research. No other company or organization is capable of fulfilling the need,” according to the FDA report. . .

“The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Advanced Bioscience Resources (ABR) Inc. and no solicitation will be issued. The objective is to acquire Tissue for Humanized Mice,” as stated in the FDA report.

“The FDA’s June 13 presolicitation notice contended that Advanced Biosciences Resources was the only organization that could fulfill the new contract,” reported CNS News.

The House Appropriations Committee approved a bill to fund the Department of Health and Human Services for the fiscal year of 2019 in July. The bill includes language prohibiting the federal funding of research using human fetal tissue obtained through abortions.
