Trump Draws a Line With Democrats Over the Migrant Caravan. Will the Rest of the GOP Step Up?

There are just two weeks left in the midterm campaign season, and President Donald Trump is on a mission to make illegal immigration the defining issue of the campaign. As many as an estimated 10,000 people are migrating from Central America, through Mexico, and toward the United States, and Trump has pledged to “stop the onslaught.”

He’s squarely accused Democrats of refusing to work with Republicans on immigration reform and exacerbating the coming crisis on the southern border.

The president has rightly declared this marching caravan to be a matter of national security. Violent criminal drug cartels take advantage of asylum-seekers, demanding fees to smuggle them across the border and using them to traffic drugs into the United States. The country’s backlogged court system and overcrowded detention facilities ensure that many of the migrants arrested for crossing the border illegally are released into the country and disappear, unless they resurface to commit a crime.

But will the president’s championing of this issue trickle down to Republican campaigns for Congress?

The problem for Republicans echoing Trump’s demands for border security and attacks on the Democrats is that under the leadership of House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., the GOP declined to have a fight on immigration policy before the midterm elections. Republicans refused to attach needed reforms to any of the must-pass spending bills. If they had done that, they would have been able to corner the Democrats on their open-borders radicalism and force them to choose between their unpopular ideology and shutting down the government. The last time Democrats were given that choice, they picked ideology over common sense, and it backfired on them.

Instead, Republicans punted on the issue, voting to fund the government without a fight and kicking the issue past the election. Now McCarthy has introduced a stand-alone bill to fund the wall, but everyone knows that cannot pass. So how are Republicans going to run on immigration reform and border security when voters just watched them surrender on both fronts this year?

If they are allowed to keep the majority, the message needs to be sent from day one after the election that the Republicans will change the way they do business in Washington D.C. How do they do that? Start by defending Trump’s constitutional and statutory authority to repel the migrant caravan attempting to invade the U.S. border. Next, pledge to force a change in House leadership because of Congress’ failure to keep promises to repeal Obamacare, cut spending, secure the border, defund Planned Parenthood, and drain the swamp.

Use the midterm elections as an opportunity to reset Congress, refocus the agenda to accomplish President Trump’s priorities, and prepare to run in 2020 on achievements accomplished because Republicans fought to keep their promises. Pastors Will Ask for God’s Blessing on Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic

It’s one of the most sacrilegious acts a religious leader could perform, but it’s happening again — this time in Columbus, Ohio. There, on the evening of November 9, the so-called Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice is planning a “blessing” of the Planned Parenthood abortion center.

This appears to be a response to the closing ceremony of the 40 Days for Life campaign. The event is called Holy Ground: Blessing the Sacred Space of Decision, and an event description reads:

During this clinic blessing, participants will gather with local faith leaders and guests to ask for God’s blessing upon Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio’s East Columbus Surgical facility, the abortion providers and staff, and all those who pass through the center.

In celebration of conscience and moral decision making, this event will include interfaith blessings, prayers, and testimonies about receiving and providing abortion care. This clinic blessing will create space for progressive voices of faith to speak boldly in support of comprehensive reproductive health care, especially abortion.

Mark Harrington, President of the pro-life group Created Equal informed LifeNews of the event. He said Planned Parenthood abortion practitioners kill babies at the abortion clinic in dismemberment abortions whey they are nearly 5 months old. U.S. Ambassador to Germany Responds to Ocasio-Cortez Comparing Nazis to Global Warming

U.S. Ambassador To Germany Richard Grenell slammed Democratic Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Monday after she compared Nazi Germany to global warming in a recent speech.

Grenell’s comments on Fox News’ “FOX & Friends” came after Ocasio-Cortez said at a campaign event on Friday that the blueprint the United States used to defeat Nazi Germany is the same blueprint that needs to be used to defeat global warming.

“It’s never okay, it’s never acceptable to minimize the Holocaust and the murder of six million Jews,” Grenell said. “Just note to anyone who is speaking publicly — never compare it to anything because nothing can be as horrific as 11 million people, six million Jews murdered.”

. . .

“So we talk about existential threats, the last time we had a really major existential threat to this country was around World War II,” Ocasio-Cortez said on Friday. “And so we’ve been here before and we have a blueprint of doing this before.”

“None of these things are new ideas,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “What we had was an existential threat in the context of a war. We had a direct existential threat with another nation, this time it was Nazi Germany, and axis, who explicitly made the United States as an enemy, as an enemy.”

Watch: Amnesty International Makes Creep-Tastic Video Showing ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Being Sexually Assaulted

Amnesty International is jumping on the anti-Disney bandwagon — like celebrities Kristen Bell and Keira Knightley — calling out “fairy tales” for anti-feminist scenarios, where damsels in distress under an evil spell need the help of dashing princes to regain consciousness.

But the nongovernmental organization went way beyond merely criticizing Disney’s heroines. They created their own “fractured fairy tale” in which a prince sexually assaults a sleeping princess, first kissing her and then sliding his hand up her leg, molesting her as she sleeps — a sort-of parody of “Sleeping Beauty” or “Snow White” that comes off less instructive and more, well, creepy. . .

After sexually abusing the sleeping princess, “Prince Charming” is confronted by a handful of woodland creatures who explain to him that he has to get consent to kiss, touch, or fondle the princess, even though she’s definitely out cold.

The prince is, of course, the archetypal misogynistic male — cut straight, perhaps, from leftist fantasies about now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — who responds that he knows the princess wants “D from the P,” because they engaged in some heavy petting at a party, so he feels entitled to assault her now. He’s ultimately set straight by a talking owl. . .

It’s not clear who the video is intended to inform other than, perhaps, a handful of Twitter users who found it funny. It’s certainly not for kids, and it’s a little strange to think that someone in a pitch meeting brought up the idea of a prince visibly molesting a princess as a way of conveying the idea of consent to the Disney princess set (and it’s even creepier if you consider that both Snow White and Sleeping Beauty are supposed to be in their early teens). Decorated Vietnam Vet Sentenced to Prison for Automatic Rifle Purchased in the 1980s

A decorated Vietnam veteran and firearms collector was sentenced to seven years in federal prison Wednesday for a decades-old purchase of a rifle.

Alfred Pick, 70, purchased the M14 — a fully automatic weapon illegal to own — at a Ft. Worth gun show in the early 1980s, the Dallas Morning News reported.

The rifle, which had a scratched-off serial number, was similar to the one Pick used as an Army lieutenant in Vietnam, where he earned a Silver Star after participating in more than 100 combat missions and his brief time as a POW.

“The man is a Silver Star winner, he saved lives, he took care of his wife, he’s been in custody for a year, I would think that when a man turned 70 and is an American hero you don’t destroy the rest of his life for one mistake,” Mark Shackelford, a friend, told KDFW-TV.

Shackelford called the weapon the “piece de resistance” of Pick’s collection, adding that “He had shown it to me. I’ve never seen it taken out of the case. (Read more from “Decorated Vietnam Vet Sentenced to Prison for Automatic Rifle Purchased in the 1980s” HERE)

Mexican Ambassador Makes a Stunning Accusation About Migrant Caravan

The Mexican ambassador to the United States said that they had reason to believe that the migrant caravan from Honduras heading towards the U.S. border was not the result of a grassroots effort, but was “politically motivated.” . . .

“Mexico also issued a very clear statement saying if somebody is seeking asylum, Mexico is there along now with the U.N. to look at those claims, we want to make sure those claims are legitimate.” . . .

“We have evidence that this caravan is also very much politically motivated,” he claimed. . .

“But we have also made very clear that there’s no legal ground on which Mexico can issue a permit by which people can just go through Mexico towards the United States,” he concluded.

The caravan of migrants from Honduras began its long trek to the U.S. border on Saturday with about 1,000 participants. Reports say it has swelled to 4,000 migrants as it crossed from Honduras into Guatemala. (Read more from “Mexican Ambassador Makes a Stunning Accusation About Migrant Caravan” HERE)

Bill Walker Suspends Re-Election, Endorses Democrat

Independent Alaska Governor Bill Walker suspended his re-election bid on Friday, choosing instead to endorse the Democratic candidate, former Senator Mark Begich.

In an Instagram post, Walker conceded his inability to “win a three-way race” and expressed his belief that Begich would have a better shot at defeating Republican Mike Dunleavy in a two-person race. . .

Democratic Governors Association executive director Elisabeth Pearson called the move a “game-changer” that could shift the race to Begich. Before Walker’s withdrawal, Dunleavy, a former state senator, was polling ahead of both Begich and Walker, to the tune of over 40 percent to around 25 percent to the other two candidates, according to Politico.

Dear Alaskans, I ran for re-election because I still believe that, more than anything else, Alaska deserves integrity, honesty, and courage. Alaska First is, and cannot only be, a campaign slogan. When I said I ran for governor to do the job, not make the decisions to keep the job, I meant exactly what I said. Every decision I have made as your governor, I have made on the basis of what I believe is best for Alaska. With that said, effective today, I am suspending my campaign for re-election as Governor. With more time, I am confident that Val and I could deliver a message and a campaign that could earn a victory in this election. But there are only 18 days remaining before election day. Absentee ballots have already been mailed, and Alaskans are already voting. In the time remaining, I believe we cannot win a three-way race. This week I have talked to many Alaskans to determine whether I or Mark Begich had a better chance of running a competitive race against Mike Dunleavy. The determination was made that, at this point, Begich has the better odds. Alaskans deserve a competitive race. Alaskans deserve a choice other than Mike Dunleavy, whose record and campaign rhetoric indicate he will: eliminate Medicaid Expansion that has provided healthcare access to 44,000 Alaskans, created jobs and brought $1 billion federal dollars into the Alaskan economy while decreasing State healthcare expenditures by $16 million, kept hospitals from closing, and saved lives; defund the Alaska LNG Gasline project that has made historic progress, will create 12,000 high paying construction jobs, 88,000 direct and indirect jobs and deliver low cost energy to our homes and businesses; undo the bipartisan approved sustainable fiscal plan that has resulted in fiscal stability, significantly reduced the deficit, improved our credit rating and preserved the PFD program into perpetuity; cause our most vulnerable to suffer the brunt of the additional $1 billion in budget cuts he vows to make to education, rural Alaska and those receiving healthcare. Left-Wing Protester Who Harassed 9/11 Widow Runs for His Life When Confronted

Video of a left-wing protester telling an alleged 9/11 widow that her late husband should “rot in the grave” has gone viral.

The harassment of the woman took place in Portland, Oregon, during clashes between Antifa and pro-Trump factions.

The protester screamed at the woman in the video and looked to be ready for a physical confrontation. After the woman said “My husband died in 9/11,” the protester yelled “Good for him! Good. Good. NYPD were a bunch of sodomized — f***ing sodomizing immigrants with their bully sticks. Your husband should probably f***ing rot in the grave.” . . .

There was a standoff between the leftist and far-right protesters, but when a large group of Trump-supporting activists looked to confront him, the man who insulted the widow suddenly lost his nerve.

Extra footage posted on Twitter shows the same man who was harassing the woman earlier running for his life down the street as fast as he could. (Read more from “Left-Wing Protester Who Harassed 9/11 Widow Runs for His Life When Confronted” HERE)

White Journalist Dies Months After Racially Motivated Attack

Jerry Wolkowitz, a freelance journalist and EMT, died on Thursday months after he was attacked for being a “white man.”

Wolkowitz, 56, was attacked in New Jersey on May 1 by 26-year-old Jamil S. Hubbard.

“[Wolkowitz] was punched in the head and then dragged into the parking lot before being run over by a Chevrolet Malibu. His blue Kia Forte was then stolen,” the Asbury Park Press reported. . .

Hubbard was originally charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and bias intimidation, and a grand jury later added armed robbery, eluding and theft.

Assistant Monmouth County Prosecutor Keri-Leigh Schaefer said Hubbard chose his victim because “he was a white man” and wanted to kill him because of his race. (Read more from “White Journalist Dies Months After Racially Motivated Attack” HERE)

Warren Finally Admits She Is Not Native American

. . .Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the Massachusetts Democrat who for decades claimed she was a Native American, has finally come out and said what we’ve all known for ages: She’s no Indian.

“I am not a citizen of any tribal nation,” Warren said during a debate on CBS Boston. “Only tribes determine tribal citizenship, it’s not done by DNA.” . . .

Warren listed herself as Native American in the Association of American Law School Directory, and according to The Boston Globe, she “had her ethnicity changed from white to Native American at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she taught from 1987 to 1995, and at Harvard University Law School, where she was a tenured faculty member starting in 1995.”

Some critics say she got the Harvard slot by claiming to be American Indian. “Harvard Law School in the 1990s touted Warren, then a professor in Cambridge, as being Native American,’” CNN reported last November. “They singled her out, Warren later acknowledged, because she had listed herself as a minority in an Association of American Law Schools directory.”

A 1997 Fordham Law Review article identified the Democrat as Harvard Law’s “first woman of color.” Warren even submitted recipes to an American Indian cookbook called “Pow Wow Chow,” which was released in 1984 by the Five Civilized Tribes Museum in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She signed her entries “Elizabeth Warren — Cherokee.” (Read more from “Warren Finally Admits She Is Not Native American” HERE)
