Ocasio-Cortez Must Have Missed Sunday School Because Even Her Account of Jesus’ Birth Is False

Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the socialist darling from New York, never seems to take a break from political gaffes, even on Christmas. Instead, she used the day to push the false notion that Jesus was a refugee.

It wasn’t long before conservatives tore into her utterly false statements. After all, Ocasio-Cortez decided to use the biggest holiday in the world to push her own political agenda (but really, it’s not that surprising).

The Cost of the Wall Is Nothing Compared to the Yearly Cost of Illegal Immigration

Would you let criminals take your home and hurt your family, or would you pay for a front door that locks?

It typically costs roughly $1,500-$2,000 to purchase and install a no-frills exterior door on your home. Not cheap at all. But would you agonize over the cost for a minute when the entire cost and safety of your whole home and its occupants are on the line, especially when dangerous criminals, burglars, and murderers are specifically targeting your neighborhood for infiltration?

Well, elected officials are like the head of this household, America is our house, and our southern border is our exterior front door. But almost all leaders in both parties are unanimous that it’s more important to spend money on the front doors of states in the Middle East rather than our own to prevent, among others, Middle Eastern terrorists from coming here. These are people who have already funded the other seven governmental departments at record levels, yet they can’t find $25 billion or even $5 billion for a national front door.

To illustrate the warped priorities of the elites, one cowardly Republican senator gave the following anonymous quote to Politico, “Syria is crumbling. And we’re talking about a f&^king wall.”

The sad fact is that, putting aside the merits of our Middle East policies, if you believe we need security in the Middle East, then by a factor of 10,000 you should be clamoring for it on our own border.

Illegal immigration: the needless and expensive unfunded liability on Americans

Last week, Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen testified before the House Judiciary Committee that the Border Patrol is averaging 2,100 apprehensions per day so far this fiscal year. That is an annualized rate of 766,500 illegals. Those are just the ones we catch. How many are allowed to come in undetected as a result of the agents being tied up with family units? While there is no definitive number, the best estimate the government has is from a 2016 Institute for Defense Analysis report prepared for the DHS. If you look at the last time annual apprehensions reached over 700,000, our apprehension rate was only 40 percent, which would put us at a projected flow of 1.7 million per year. Now, it’s very likely that with the new era of lawfare and illegals surrendering themselves to agents on purpose, a higher share of the illegal crossers are being “apprehended,” but let’s just say the total border flow is slated for one million this year.

Can you imagine the fiscal, social, and security cost of one million individuals from the most impoverished countries being smuggled over by the most violent drug cartels? Suddenly, the two thousand soldiers in Syria doesn’t seem like such a big deal, does it?

According to Steve Camarota of the Center for Immigration Studies, the lifetime cost of an illegal alien is $74,722. If the descendants of these illegal immigrants are factored into the equation, the cost increases to $94,391 per illegal alien. And if different methodologies are used to calculate the lifetime fiscal cost (not using net present value), the cost could be as high as $140,000-$150,000 per illegal, according to Camarota.

At one million illegal aliens every year, that is a cost of between $74 and $150 billion every year just for that year’s flow of illegal immigrants. And no, there are not only 12 million illegal immigrants in the country. When prompted by Steve King at the judiciary hearing, Nielsen admitted that there definitely are somewhere between 12 and 22 million, “higher than originally estimated.”

The cost of illegal immigration is so unconscionable that the media makes sure we never have the data and anecdotes that will force such a conversation. Now, with the fight over funding a border wall, is the time for that conversation.

Moreover, aside from preventing the cost of illegal immigration, by focusing our investment in border enforcement specifically on a border wall, which is an upfront non-reccurring cost for something that actually works, we will save billions in extra funding for the many other assets that have failed to secure the border. Just over the past decade, we have spent over $100 billion on different methods of security, but to no avail — all to avoid the $25 billion cost of building a security barrier. Then there is the crushing cost of detention and housing. Even before the flow of family units, according to the Washington Times, HHS paid over $1.4 billion last year to care for nearly 41,000 Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) in its facilities, who stayed 41 days on average, costing taxpayers about $670 per day for each child.

In fact, by not building a wall, simply hiring more border agents is actually counterproductive. The more border agents we have without a wall, the more the agents are used by the cartels in a tactical game of migration football, as one agent described to me, so they can bring in their drugs without detection.

The human toll of not having a national front door

And speaking of the cost of drugs, how do you put a price on the tens of thousands of people dying of drugs every single year? An analysis by the White House Council of Economic Advisers last year found that the overall cost of the crisis to the U.S. economy in 2015 was over $500 billion. Where does it come from? All of the heroin and methamphetamine, most of the cocaine, and most of the fentanyl come in through the Mexican border. . .

As Secretary Nielsen said last week, there are one million criminal aliens in this country with orders of removal. Those are just the ones we caught and who have final orders of removal without some liberal judge overturning them.

Remember, these are recurring costs, crimes, and deaths, every single year, while the cost of the border wall is mainly up front.

While the media now reports on every single death of a migrant at the hands of the cartels and parents while blaming them on the Border Patrol, it fails to report on the appalling number of Americans killed every year because of our senseless border policies. ICE apprehends criminal aliens collectively responsible for 1,600-2,000 murders every single year. This past year, it was 2,028. Just last week, a 51-year-old Californian, Rocky Paul Jones, was killed by Gustavo Garcia, an illegal alien who had already been deported, after the local sheriff was forced to ignore an ICE detainer, according to Breitbart. Thanks to a lack of a border wall, he was able to come back again, and thanks to California’s sanctuary problems, Garcia was never turned over to ICE. Therefore, Jones never got to spend another Christmas with his family.

What about all that violence in Chicago? Believe it or not, the most wanted criminal responsible for gang violence in the city is not a domestic criminal. It’s El Mencho, the head of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel, which is every bit as violent as ISIS, is flooding our country with migrants, gangs, and drugs, and is possibly responsible for an attempted attack on our consulate in Guadalajara. Except unlike fighters in Syria, these people are on our border and have agents in our major cities.

We haven’t even delved into the diseases, cultural problems, strain on our schools, and the flow of Middle Easterners coming in through Central America.

Lack of sovereignty is the greatest shutdown of the federal government

At its core, we have a federal government to protect Americans from external threats while states and local governments take care of internal affairs. We have 50 state governments, over 3,000 county governments, and a total of roughly 90,000 local and municipal governments in this country. Why do we need a federal government if not to protect us from external threats? If the federal government refuses to take care of us and illegal aliens get to suck us dry with welfare, catch-and-release, sanctuaries, birthright citizenship, and being counted in our own reapportionment, then why even have a federal government at all? Moreover, if the onetime $25 billion cost of the border wall will trump the hundreds of billions of annual costs from illegal aliens, then what is the point of passing a federal budget at all?

Behold the difference between the nation-state shutdown and today’s so-called federal shutdown. Remember, 70 percent of government is mandatory spending and not subject to appropriations, while 75 percent of the remaining 30 percent of discretionary spending, including the military and Veterans’ Affairs, is already funded for the remainder of this fiscal year. For that matter, even the Department of Education is funded. To that end, today, the nonessential portion of 25 percent of the 30 percent of the government that is discretionary, yet not fully funded through September, is shut down. Americans would take that any day of the week over the shutdown of our nation-state at the hands of illegal invaders and drug cartels.

The most important decision a society will ever make is whom to admit as a permanent member of that society, which in turn will affect every other policy decision. As such, that decision must be kept at arm’s length by the existing citizenry through their elected representatives. When people enter or remain in a country against the national will, it is a violation of sovereignty and governance by the consent of the governed, and it reflects a failure of the social contract between the citizenry and its government. It also costs a heck of a lot more than a border wall, much like losing all your possessions is much more expensive than paying for a front door.

At this point, the only main departments that are not funded are Homeland Security and Justice. But if those agencies will not be permitted to protect our justice and homeland from invaders, let’s shutter the doors indefinitely. Why else have a federal government? Former Walmart Santa Claus Charged After Two of His Children Found Buried in His Backyard

By Daily Wire. A Georgia man who was formerly employed as a Walmart Santa Claus has been charged in connection to the discovery of his two teenaged children found buried in his backyard.

On December 19, authorities responded to a welfare check on 14-year-old Mary Crocker at the home of Elwyn Crocker Sr., her father. Mary had been missing since October, though no official missing person’s report was filed.

Information provided by Elwyn Sr. during an interview with officials eventually led officers to the bodies of Mary and her brother Elwyn Crocker, Jr., who was last seen some two years ago. Like Mary, no official missing person report was filed for the boy, either. . .

Elwyn Sr., who turned 50 on Christmas Day, was working in close proximity to area children until recently, working as a Santa Claus at a Walmart in Rincon. He’s been charged with cruelty to children in the first degree and concealing the death of another, according to the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office. Walmart Santa Elwyn Crocker Charged After Kids Are Found in His Yard

By NY Post. A Walmart Santa was busted in connection with the deaths of his two kids — who were recently discovered buried in his Georgia back yard.

The remains of Elwyn Crocker Jr., a 14-year-old who vanished two years ago, and his sister Mary, 14, who was last seen in October, were unearthed in the small farming town of Guyton last week, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Deputies searching the home on a tip were led to the graves by the kids’ dad, Elwyn Crocker Sr., who turned 50 on Christmas, and until recently worked as a Santa at a store in Rincon.

His wife and the kids’ stepmother, Candice Crocker, 33, her mother, Kim Wright, 50, and Wright’s boyfriend, Anthony Prater, 55, were also collared on charges of concealing a death and child cruelty. They remain in Effingham County jail without bond. (Read more from “Walmart Santa Elwyn Crocker Charged After Kids Are Found in His Yard” HERE)

Liberal Billionaire Apologizes for Funding Russian Bot ‘False Flag’ – but Questions Remain Unanswered

By The Daily Caller. Billionaire Reid Hoffman apologized Wednesday for funding an effort to dupe Alabama voters into believing Russian bots were fueling Republican Roy Moore’s failed senatorial bid. But he left crucial questions unanswered.

His statement left several important facts about the so-called experiment unaddressed, including a detailed accounting of everyone involved in the caper, as well who crafted and executed the campaign. The effort was the subject of a closed-door presentation in Washington, D.C., to a group of liberal technology experts, The Washington Post reported, citing anonymous sources.

“I find the tactics that have been recently reported highly disturbing,” Hoffman said in his statement. “For that reason, I am embarrassed by my failure to track AET — the organization I did support — more diligently as it made its own decisions to perhaps fund projects that I would reject.”

The Hoffman-financed group allegedly used Facebook and Twitter to undermine support for Moore and boost Democrat Doug Jones, who narrowly won the race. Hoffman referred to a group he funded, American Engagement Technologies (AET), as being involved in the effort. . .

Hoffman, like Jones, who barely beat Moore, supports any investigations into the matter. “I proudly support aggressive campaigning – both on the ground and digitally – and that is why we’ve funded organizations that help expand civic engagement,” the Silicon Valley billionaire said, adding that the funding was made on the promise that the organization would use the money to combat “fake news and bot armies.” (Read more from “Liberal Billionaire Apologizes for Funding Russian Bot ‘False Flag’ – but Questions Remain Unanswered” HERE)

Reid Hoffman Apologizes for Funding a Group That Allegedly Spread Misinformation in Alabama Senate Race

By CNBC. LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman apologized Wednesday for funding a group that allegedly had a hand in spreading misinformation during the 2017 Alabama Senate race.

In a post on his Medium blog, Hoffman said he was not aware of the tactics alleged in the New York Times article that called out his ties to American Engagement Technologies. . .

The project only had a budget of $100,000, according to Federal Election Commission records reviewed by the Times. A person close to the matter told the Washington Post that Hoffman invested $750,000 in AET.

“I categorically disavow the use of misinformation to sway an election,” Hoffman wrote in the Medium post. “In fact, I have deliberately funded multiple organizations trying to re-establish civic, truth-focused discourse in the US. I would not have knowingly funded a project planning to use such tactics, and would have refused to invest in any organization that I knew might conduct such a project.” (Read more from “Reid Hoffman Apologizes for Funding a Group That Allegedly Spread Misinformation in Alabama Senate Race” HERE)

Internet Exploded at Trump for Christmas Eve Call to Young Child. But Her Parents Tell a Different Story.

. . .Speaking with Collman Lloyd — a 7-year-old girl from Lexington, South Carolina — on Christmas Eve from the White House, a video, which quickly went viral, showed the president asking Collman if she still believes in Santa Claus — but it was his follow-up statement, which implied Santa is not real, that incited criticism and accusations that Trump had “ruined” Christmas. . .

Instead, Collman’s father — 40-year-old Donald J. Lloyd — told BuzzFeed News that he would use similar language to speak to his daughter about Santa Claus. He also said he believes Trump’s remarks have been “blown out of proportion and unfairly politicized,” according to BuzzFeed.

“I think it’s crazy it became a big deal. It’s Christmastime. I’d love to keep politics out of Christmas,” Donald said. “It didn’t bother me — I like to talk to my kids like adults.” . . .

In the end, both parents appreciated how Trump treated their daughter. At first, they thought she was speaking with a pre-recorded message, then they realized Collman was actually speaking with the president.

“He said, ‘Happy Christmas … It was great speaking to you, Collman … Please tell [your family] I wish them a happy Christmas,'” Erica explained. “It made her Christmas.” (Read more from “Internet Exploded at Trump for Christmas Eve Call to Young Child. Oh, Brother: CNN Believes Trump Violated Ethics, Campaign Laws During Visit to Iraq

Everyone’s favorite reporter, CNN White House Correspondent Jim Acosta, filled in for Wolf Blitzer on Wednesday. During the program, Acosta went into detail about why he thought President Donald Trump violated ethics and campaign laws during his trip to Iraq to visit American troops.

And now, CNN has an issue with it, as evidenced by their constant coverage and the remarks made by their reporters and contributors. . .

“Is that unusual, to see the President doing that on base? Does this run the risk of the President, you know, facing some accusations that he’s turning some of this into a campaign stop? What do you think,” Acosta asked CNN Pentagon correspondent Barbara Starr.

“The pool reporters traveling said that the troops brought the hats with them, including one hat that said ‘Trump 2020. We will have to see if that actually proves to be the case. The question is, if they brought them or if the President brought them: What commander allowed that to really happen?” Starr asked. “Troops are not supposed to be involved in political activities. The U.S. military is not a political force.”

Archaeologists Discover Pontius Pilate Reference on Ancient Ring

New analysis has revealed an unusual inscription on a copper-alloy finger ring uncovered at Herodium 50 years ago. Documented by a team of archaeologists in Israel Exploration Journal, the ring briefly caught the media’s attention last month.

Based on the surrounding material, the ring was presumably deposited towards the latter half of the first century, probably about the period of the first Jewish revolt against Rome in AD 66-71. The broken hoop has a diameter of two-thirds of an inch, while the oval bezel measures one-half inch by one-third inch. The bezel relief features a krater (mixing vessel) as the motif, flanked by inscribed letters “PI” on the left and “LATO” on the right.

As this constitutes an unusual historical name in the Levant, it thus has been attributed to Pontius Pilate, prefect of Judea from AD 26-36 who ordered the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth outside Jerusalem, probably in AD 33. . .

The ancient historian Josephus reports Herod’s burial there in War 1.673, and his tomb has also been reported there from excavations by Ehud Netzer. Before his death in 2010, Netzer published an extensive guide of the site. Based on excavation evidence, the area was substantially abandoned after Herod’s reign, except for brief intervals until the Jewish Revolt, and subsequently destroyed by the Romans in AD 71.

The incised inscription and central motif indicate the ring functioned for stamping bulla (clay seals) with an official insignia, although Romans typically preferred affixing wax rather than clay. Analysis of the ring indicates its manufacture was likely by a smith in Jerusalem. Its common ornamentation and lack of precious gem suggests its original use by someone a name similar to the Roman governor’s, or as a low-level official acting on Pilate’s behalf, rather than the prefect himself. Pro-Lifers Save Two Babies by Singing Christmas Carols Outside Abortion Centers

Pro-life advocates singing Christmas carols outside abortion facilities saved at least two lives from abortion this past weekend.

In Wood Dale, Illinois, a woman left the abortion facility where pro-life carolers were signing and came to tell them she and her boyfriend decided to keep their baby.

Similarly in Orange, California, a woman who had been moved by the caroling came out of the Planned Parenthood there, telling pro-lifers she had decided to keep her child.

Pro-lifers were able to get the Illinois couple to a local pregnancy center and give them a gift of baby booties for their child, according the Pro-Life Action League, and the California woman was also directed to a local pregnancy center and given a baby sweater for her child on the way. . .

“The fifth annual Peace in the Womb caroling day was a great success,” Pro-Life Action League Assistant Communications Director Matthew Yonke told LifeSiteNews. “With 96 locations nationwide, we brought the message of Christmas hope to abortion facilities from New York to California and all points between.” (Read more from “Pro-Lifers Save Two Babies by Singing Christmas Carols Outside Abortion Centers” HERE)

President Trump Announces When the Shutdown Will End

By The Blaze. During a Christmas call with U.S. troops, President Donald Trump made it clear that there won’t be a quick end to the partial shutdown of the government unless Democrats cave on their refusal to fund the border wall that was a signature promise of his campaign.

President Trump made the remarks on Tuesday morning in response to a question about when he thought the government would be reopened. In response, Trump said, “I can’t tell you when the government is going to be open. I can tell you it’s not going to be open until we have a wall, a fence, whatever they would like to call it.”

In response to a question from a reporter in the Oval Office, President Trump touted some of the progress that has recently been made on border security, and also explained some of the claims he has made on Twitter in recent days about sections of the wall that are already under construction.

“One other thing people don’t understand or know… we’ve renovated massive amounts of very good wall — wall that was good but was in bad shape…. And in addition to that, and I think very, very importantly, we’ve built a lot of new wall. So it’s all being built; the new piece, the new section, it’s very, very exciting what’s going on there, and you’ll see it because in January I’m going there. … So, while we’re fighting over funding, we’re also building, and it’s my hope to have this done, or completed — all five hundred to five hundred-fifty miles — to have it either renovated or brand new by election time,” Trump said.

Trump also reiterated his claim that he already has sufficient funding to build a wall in the $25 billion that Congress approved for border security during the last round of funding talks, but that “We want the wall money to be increased, because I want to finish it.” (Read more from “President Trump Announces When the Shutdown Will End” HERE)

Trump’s Christmas message to Democrats: Government shutdown will last ‘until we have a wall’

By Fox News. President Trump has a Christmas message for Democrats – the government is going to remain partially shut down “until we have a wall [or] fence.”

Trump, speaking to reporters Tuesday in the Oval Office during the fourth day of the impasse, also revealed that he will be going to the border in Texas for a “groundbreaking” ceremony for a portion of the project at the end of January.

“While we’re fighting over funding, we’re also building, and it’s my hope to have this done, completed, all 500 to 550 miles, to have it either renovated or brand new by Election Day,” he said.

Democrats, though, remain opposed to approving additional funding for a border wall as part of a new government spending package — and their hand only strengthens once the party takes control of the House next month. The White House warned over the weekend that the shutdown standoff could extend into the new year, and Trump on Tuesday made clear he’s not planning to budge either.
