‘Handmaid’s Tale’ Super Bowl Ad Pilfers Ronald Reagan’s Legacy to Make Dumb Anti-Conservative Statement

Hulu debuted a new trailer for the third season of “The Handmaid’s Tale” during the Super Bowl, echoing President Ronald Reagan’s iconic 1984 “Morning in America” campaign ad to not-so-subtlety suggesting Reagan conservatives want a totalitarian Christian theocracy in America.

The trailer begins like Reagan’s commercial, saying “It’s morning again in America,” touting that more women are at work and more children are being born. Then things get sinister and Elizabeth Moss’s character, Offred, says “Wake up, America,” in a literal appeal for the country to get woke. Groan.

“The Handmaid’s Tale” is based on the 1985 Margaret Atwood novel about a totalitarian theocracy called the Republic of Gilead, where women have no rights and serve as sexual slaves for the fundamentalist Christian ruling class. Just like Ronald Reagan’s presidency! Hahahaha … ugh.

Seriously, though, the Left treats this show as the definitive socio-political allegory for the times we live in, with President Trump in charge and trying to do at least some conservative things. Feminist Atwood has even described Vice President Mike Pence as the kind of “puritanical” leader of a “totalitarian regime” she envisioned when writing her book.

Back here in reality, Reagan’s original ad celebrated the roaring economy ushered in after he signed into law those evil fundamentalist Christian … tax cuts.

President Trump, much like President Reagan, is overseeing a booming economy so great that even the Washington Post had to admit that fears of a coming recession were overblown. Only in the Left’s ignorant fever dreams about Trump and Christianity could conservatives usher in a tyranny like that portrayed in “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

Meanwhile, the Left sees and hears no evil from those opening the door for late-term abortions and infanticide. Who exactly is pushing for an evil government that takes away people’s rights? Washington Post Super Bowl Ad Features Fake Journalist Khashoggi

The self-congratulatory multimillion-dollar Washington Post advertisement that played during Super Bowl 53 highlighted the risks that journalists undertake to report the news, but also fraudulently represented an Islamist activist as one of those journalists.

The ad spot, which was narrated by Tom Hanks, features a photo of the Normandy landings during World War II, among other moments in U.S. history, including the Apollo 11 mission to the moon (which obviously did not have any journalists on board). The recurring theme is that journalists have been a part of the most ambitious, dangerous moments in our country’s history. The advertisement concludes by showcasing journalists who were captured or killed doing their job. “Knowing keeps us free,” Hanks concludes, marking the sacrifice that many journalists have made to report the news.

However, the last person represented as a journalist in the ad is the late Jamal Khashoggi, who, as I’ve written extensively, was not a journalist at all. Khashoggi was a lifelong Islamist activist and an avowed ally to Islamist terrorists and extremist organizations. He also had violent tendencies that sometimes appeared in his columns. Khashoggi hoped that Israel would “die by force” at the hands of Hamas. He continued to support al Qaeda-linked individuals and groups until his last days.

Decades ago, when he was in the good graces of the Saudi monarchy, Khashoggi was a correspondent for state-controlled Saudi media operations, but he was never a journalist who was free to report the news as he saw it. Khashoggi was an information operator, a propagandist until his last days.

Jamal Khashoggi was murdered in October after he entered a Saudi diplomatic building in Turkey. The killing of the recently hired Washington Post Global Opinions columnist, who had previously taken self-exile in the United States, provided the spark for a foreign propaganda firestorm. A spat that should have been exclusively between Turkey and Saudi Arabia was weaponized by Saudi Arabia’s enemies — mostly Qatar and Turkey — to weaken Riyadh’s foreign policy and its alliance with the United States.

Following Khashoggi’s death, the U.S. legacy media published countless anonymously sourced pieces, which came almost exclusively from foreign intelligence agencies, that claimed Khashoggi was murdered in a horrific fashion and that he was killed on direct orders from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS), who is next in line to the Saudi throne. After Khashoggi’s death, the Washington Post waged an all-out information war against Saudi Arabia in defense of its departed contributor, taking to extreme, reckless lengths to do so. The Post has routinely featured op-eds from high-ranking Iranian terrorist regime officials, Houthi rebel leaders who have called for death to America and have been implicated in the torture of journalists, and Muslim Brotherhood leaders who have supported terrorist organizations.

Evidence continues to emerge that Khashoggi was not the man that the media represented him as. Not only was he an unreformed Islamist activist who was dedicated to anti-democratic ideals, we now know he was working in tandem with elements of the government of Qatar to spread its foreign policy priorities into the pages of the Washington Post.

“Text messages between Khashoggi and an executive at Qatar Foundation International show that the executive, Maggie Mitchell Salem, at times shaped the columns he submitted to The Washington Post, proposing topics, drafting material and prodding him to take a harder line against the Saudi government,” the Post reported in a piece that attempted to whitewash his collusion with Doha. Additionally, the Post report disclosed that Khashoggi’s stories were reviewed by a translator who worked for the Qatari embassy in Washington, D.C. The late Washington Post columnist had also been working with a who’s who of U.S.-based Islamist operatives on so-called “Islamic Democracy” promotion, which was largely a front for his preferred Muslim Brotherhood-aligned policies.

The $5+ million dollars spent on the Super Bowl ad could have gone to hiring real journalists — the type who willingly risk their lives every day to bring us unfiltered stories from across the globe, whether they are deployed to war zones or are citizen journalists reporting from inside totalitarian regimes. Khashoggi was not one of them. For the Washington Post to pretend that Jamal Khashoggi was a journalist disgraces the legacy of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in search of the absolute truth. Ralph Northam’s Truth-Reveal Party Unmasked Abortion’s Evil

It is ironic that the most volatile controversy in American politics—abortion—hasn’t really been a debate: it’s been more like a mystery story. The truth has been cloaked in misdirection and sugar-coated with words like choice and rights. . .

Pro-choice extremists advocate policies unheard of anywhere else in the free world—publicly financed abortion on demand, up to the moment of birth, justifiable even when the baby is a girl instead of a boy—yet they are called moderate politicians.

Let’s not beat around the bush. This cannot be explained by sympathy for “women’s reproduction rights” or the “health of the mother.” These excuses have nothing to do with the left’s barbaric support for the killing of children in America. No. It’s deliberate and calculated. They’re just lying. . .

Abortion is violence, perpetrated by the powerful against the weak and innocent, usually for a handsome profit. Every baby announcement, every sonogram image, every gender-reveal party, every baby shower, every first kick or hiccup from the womb, every tragic miscarriage, and every miraculous preemie testifies anew to what we already know: they’re babies in there, and abortion kills them dead. Abortion is legal, but it shouldn’t be, and that is the truth the pro-abortion movement must conceal and suppress at all costs.

So, after the nausea wears off, the pro-life movement should be grateful to Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam. This week Northam defended proposed legislation in the Virginia legislature that would, following New York’s lead, gut remaining restrictions on late-term abortions up through and, apparently, after the child’s birth. The Dossier: Trump May Keep Troops in Iraq to Watch Iran

President Trump wants to keep U.S. troops in Iraq for eyes on neighboring Iran

President Trump has floated the idea of keeping a strong U.S. military presence in Iraq to keep eyes on its neighbor, the terrorist regime that runs Iran.

The president made the comment during an interview with CBS that aired Sunday afternoon.

“I want to be able to watch Iran. All I want to do is be able to watch. We have an unbelievable and expensive military base built in Iraq. It’s perfectly situated for looking at all over different parts of the troubled Middle East rather than pulling up,” the president explained. “We’re going to keep watching and we’re going to keep seeing and if there’s trouble, if somebody is looking to do nuclear weapons or other things, we’re going to know it before they do.”

China to export ‘tiny cars’ to the United States

China is seeking to enter the U.S. auto market with ridiculously cheap electric vehicles. The U.S. version of the low-speed electric vehicles (LSEVs) will sell for under $10,000 dollars but will come with many restrictions, such as a top speed of under 40 miles per hour, that will make it impractical for long trips. It will also cost almost four times more than its cost in China.

Venezuela defections continue; more side with opposition

Venezuelan military officials continue to abandon socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro, siding with opposition leader Juan Guaido, who has declared himself the true interim president of Venezuela.

Over the weekend, a Venezuelan Air Force general posted a video announcing that he was supporting Guaido, claiming that 90 percent of the military no longer has faith in Maduro as its leader.

It’s still too early to tell who will prevail. The United States, along with much of the Western world, is pushing hard for Guaido to wrest control over the country from Maduro, whose socialist policies have left the country in ruins.

Trump State of the Union may include North Korea talks, wall funding

The president has hinted that two of the major national security and foreign policy issues he will discuss in his Tuesday State of the Union address are the upcoming North Korea summit and finding funding for border security. On Friday, the president said that his upcoming meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un “is set,” leading many to speculate that those details will emerge tomorrow. The president also said that there’s a “good chance” he will have to declare a national emergency to receive the funding necessary to secure the southern border.

MUST WATCH: CBS Rejects Patriotic, Pro-Flag Super Bowl Ad From Vet-Owned Company

CBS has rejected an ad from a veteran-owned athletic wear company, likely over concerns that the ad was “too political.”

The ad, which “features soldiers, first responders, and images of military graves decorated with American flags and gives credit to them for protecting the rights of those like Kaepernick to protest,” was titled “Just Stand,” and promoted clothing from Nine Line apparel, a veteran-owned athletic wear company, according to the Washington Examiner.

CBS reportedly told Nine Line that they weren’t confident the company, which pulls in a cool $25 million per year, could afford the steep, $5.25 million price tag for a 30-second spot during Sunday night’s big game, but a spokesperson for Nine Line says CBS objected to the ad’s overly political content.

The ad parodies a Nike ad from earlier in the NFL season that featured former 49ers second string quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who is best known for “taking a knee” during the national anthem as a way of protesting racism. The controversial Nike ad celebrated Kaepernick for “sacrifing everything.” . . .

Nine Line’s ad opens with a similar line, narrated by a survior of the horrific attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which took the lives of four American officials and the American ambassador. The ad opens with the line, “Don’t ask if your loyalty is crazy. Ask if it’s crazy enough.”

Veteran: “I Do Not Recognize My Country. This Is Not the America I Grew up in, or Honorably Served”

I don’t know how you feel about your future, but I am concerned about the very survival of our Blessed Nation, the U.S. Constitution, our fundamental freedoms, and our academic institutions with their Secular Socialist indoctrination of our youth, our future leaders. This subtle moral decline following the removal of God from our nation, schools and public square has been going on for decades. Now it seems to have reached a crucial point, especially following the midterm election of Democratic Socialists and Muslims to the U.S. Congress. Unfortunately, I do not recognize my country. This is not the America I grew up in, or honorably served.

Never have I seen such absolute hatred demonstrated daily toward our president as we see against President Trump by the mainstream media, Hollywood, Democrats and elitist Republicans. Its alarming to see the corrupt Republican leadership in the Senate and Congress blocking President Trump’s agenda along with the total corruption of the FBI, DOJ, CIA and IRS in their attempt to destroy President Trump and his presidency. And, never have I seen such hate and disrespect toward Constitutional Justices as we witnessed against Justice Kavanaugh and also against anyone supporting President Trump.

The Mueller investigation is an absurd illegal corrupt investigation based upon lies and false evidence. Their latest gestapo-like break-in and raids on anyone associated with President Trump is alarming. Their wiliness to rapidly prosecute anyone associated with the Trump administration and the obvious unwillingness to prosecute anyone associated with these government agencies, the Obamas or the Clintons that have habitually lied and falsified documents shows an alarming judicial double standard.

Why is this happening? And why such hate? President Trump is a threat and real present danger in exposing the lies and corruption of the Deep State, The Democratic Party, the elite establishment in the Republican Party and the out-of-control bureaucracy (now the fourth branch of government).

Why are the Senate and House Democratic Leaders so adamant to impeach President Trump? Why do the Democrats want to maintain open borders and encourage the invasion of illegal aliens coming into our nation? Why is our country so culturally divided? Why is there such hate throughout our nation?

Please consider reading DEATH OF A NATION, by Dinesh D’Souza and watch the DVD if you wonder why. I have read several of his books and other excellent books on Trump and the Deep State. I found this book to be historically informative and extremely alarming on how “We the People” have been lied to and deceived by our elected politicians, especially the Progressive Secular Socialist Democrats.

The main purpose of government is national security. Our government has failed to protect its citizens from this invasion of drugs, crime and human trafficking. President Trump is actually changing this, and they hate him. Let us persist in supporting President Trump. Let’s make “America Great Again” – but first we must make “God Great Again”. It is only through prayer and God’s Divine guidance can our country be saved. If God is for us, who can be against us? In the end God wins. What side of history do we want to be on?

The 2020 election (local, state and national) is crucial in restoring our Judeo-Christian Heritage, American Exceptionalism and a turning point in saving our nation from the Progressive Secular Socialist Democratic Machine!

Largest U.S. Christian University Blocks Ben Shapiro From Speaking on Campus. Then Officials Release Statement.

Officials at Grand Canyon University, the largest Christian university in the United States, last week blocked conservative commentator Ben Shapiro from speaking on campus as part of an upcoming Young Americans Foundation event.

Now, the university is facing criticism after officials released a lengthy statement explaining the decision to bar Shapiro. . .

In a scathing statement Friday, YAF spokesman Spencer Brown revealed that GCU officials told students the university would not “provide a venue” for Shapiro’s upcoming speech.

School administrators reportedly also said that Shapiro’s speech style is divisive and “cut throat.” Additionally, YAF reported that GCU president Brian Mueller personally approved denying Shapiro a venue, believing the university would dodge negative media attention.

Brown said in a statement: “By caving to an unseen mob and ignoring the popularity of Shapiro among its student body, Grand Canyon University just played itself and deserves whatever negative response this brings. U.S. City Is Dealing With a Deadly, Flea-Borne Typhus Outbreak

The city of Los Angeles is suffering from an outbreak of a “middle ages” and “pioneer days” disease —typhus — typically found in homeless populations.

The outbreak began in October, according to CNN, with 57 cases of the flea- and flea feces-borne disease in downtown Los Angeles, not typically a hotbed of rare diseases. That was up from around 6 cases over the summer, all found in people “experiencing homelessness.” . . .

A local NBC affiliate says city officials assumed that the disease would remain largely within the homeless population, but lately, cases of typhus have been cropping up among an unexpected group of people: city officials. . .

Greenwood speculates that she got typhus fever from fleas riding on the rats that occasionally infest Los Angeles city buildings. Those fleas get their typhus from piles of garbage surrounding homeless encampments throughout the city. . .

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who recently announced he would not pursue a presidential campaign in 2020, has been trying to control the typhus epidemic largely by allocating funds for trash cleanup, particularly in areas where homeless people gather to live for extended periods of time, including the city’s famous Skid Row. These Are the Celebrities Who Refused to Perform During the Super Bowl Halftime Show

Multiple artists were asked to perform during the coveted Super Bowl halftime show. There were quite a few who decided to turn down the gig. Their reason? They supposed Collin Kaepernick kneeling to “bring awareness” to supposed instances of police brutality and racial inequality. His actions started a political firestorm involving the National Football League. Other players began following suit and conservative football lovers who disagreed with the supposed policy brutality boycotted tuning into games.

Ultimately, Maroon 5, Big Boi of Outkast and rapper Travis Scott agreed to perform during the show. In order for Scott to agree to perform, the NFL had to agree to make a $500,000 donation to The Dream Corps, a progressive organization founded by CNN’s Van Jones. . .

[Cardi B] “My husband [Rapper Offset], he loves football. His kids play football. It’s really hard for him. … He really wants to go to the Super Bowl, but he can’t go to the Super Bowl, because he’s got to stand for something,” the rapper told the Associated Press. “You have to sacrifice that. I got to sacrifice a lot of money to perform. But there’s a man who sacrificed his job for us, so we got to stand behind him.” . . .

The NFL and CBS really wanted Rihanna to be next year’s performer in Atlanta,” the source explained. “They offered it to her, but she said no because of the kneeling controversy. She doesn’t agree with the NFL’s stance.” . . .

Soldiers Will Soon Be Armed With These Game-Changing Drones That Fit in the Palm of Your Hand

Measuring just 6.6 inches in length and weighing only 1.16 ounces, these “nano unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems” are “small enough for a dismounted soldier to carry on a utility belt,” according to FLIR Systems.

These drones can provide situational awareness beyond visual line-of-sight capability day or night at a distance of up to 1.24 miles, covering ground at a max speed of 20 feet per second.

The “nearly silent” combat systems can provide constant covert coverage of the battlefield for almost a half hour, transmitting both live video and high-definition photographs back to the operator.

FLIR said the drone’s ability to covertly detect and identify threats will save the lives of troops in combat.

The Army is looking at a number of technologies that will allow soldiers to spot and even fire on enemies without putting themselves in harm’s way, such as night vision goggles connected to an integrated weapons sight that allows troops to shoot from the hip and around corners with accuracy.
