Woman Stabs Herself Because She Was ‘Tired of Living in Trump’s Country’

By Fox News. A Florida woman who stabbed herself three times in the stomach with a kitchen knife reportedly told responding officers it was all because of President Trump.

The Palmetto woman, whose name was redacted from a police report posted by the Smoking Gun, was found covered in blood standing outside her apartment on Sunday. When police asked what was wrong, she reportedly lifted up her shirt to show three stab wounds.

“I’m tired of living in Trump’s country. I’m tired of Trump being president,” she reportedly told the police. . .

The unidentified woman was transported to Blake Medical Center, where she was reportedly under a trauma alert. The police report notes the woman had a history of hurting herself and had been “Baker Acted” before. (Read more from “Woman Stabs Herself Because She Was ‘Tired of Living in Trump’s Country'” HERE)

Woman Stabs Self 3 Times

By The Smoking Gun. Cops found the 46-year-old woman standing outside her residence in Palmetto Sunday, according to a police report. She had blood all over her legs, hands, and face, a cop noted.

When asked what was wrong, the woman lifted her shirt to reveal “three stab wounds on [her] stomach that were still bleeding.” She then told the patrolman she had “stabbed herself because she does not want to live in Trump’s country.” . . .

After evaluating the woman, a cop concluded that there was a “substantial likelihood” that she “will cause bodily harm to herself and/or others.” As a result, the officer appears to have recommended that the woman be involuntarily admitted to a mental health treatment facility (per the state’s Baker Act). Watch: 2020 Dem Makes a Disgusting Argument for ‘Paying for Abortions’

Abortion rights advocates are furious with former Vice President Joe Biden for flip flopping on the Hyde Amendment, which bans taxpayer funding of abortions. At the beginning of May, he told an ACLU activist that yes, he would abolish the law. But on Tuesday he said he actually still supports it.

That opinion doesn’t fit in with the progressive wing of the party, so fellow presidential candidates like Seth Moulton are wishing Biden “would change his position.”

“I think it’s wrong,” Moulton said during a CNN interview on Thursday. “It disproportionately attacks women who don’t have the private means to afford an abortion.”

He then made an interesting – no, egregious – comparison.

“It’s sort of like saying, ‘I support the troops, but I don’t want to pay them.'”

Cali Democrats Are a Total Chaotic Mess

California is the largest state in the country and a bastion of progressivism. It’s the Left coast. Democrats total dominate state politics, and to be honest—the Republicans are not much better. They’re more Democrat-lite. The California GOP is pretty much dead, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t drama. The state legislature was rattled by sexual harassment allegations. In the Me Too era, one such allegation forced California State Party chair, Eric Bauman, to resign. So, at the state party convention, which was held last week, the party was a mess, but no one wanted to admit it. Vice News Michael Moynihan ventured into ground zero, where he saw a public united front, but behind the scenes the makings of a vicious civil war between the establishment and far left wings of the party. 2020 candidate John Hickenlooper was booed for saying socialism wasn’t the way forward. Moynihan also noted that single-payer health care and impeachment were also issues where the party seemed to fracture.

Single-payer has been a hot issue, especially in the Golden State. A single-payer proposal was scuffled by California Democrats in 2017 over concerns about cost and how they would pay for it. This led to Democratic lawmakers being the subject of death threats, even though The Washington Post also trashed the proposal as being one that was ruinously expensive. Then, came the tar and feathering of incumbent Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who failed to win her party’s endorsement in 2018; she won anyway. Still, it showed the growing tension within the party, especially with its uber-liberal grassroots that share one thing in common with Donald Trump: They want to smash the system. Last year’s convention was equally rambunctious by the way.

Committing Ourselves to the Principle of ‘Full Victory’ on the 75th Anniversary of D-Day

“Gentlemen, we are being killed on the beaches. Let us go inland and be killed.”

Those enduring words attributed to General Norman Cota on D-Day reflect the resolve of not just a military, but a nation unified behind that military with a sense of purpose. They were the words that rallied the men pinned down on Omaha Beach under the worst circumstances imaginable and helped turn the tide of the battle, permanently altering the trajectory of mankind for the next century. What almost resulted in utter catastrophe was transformed into the greatest victory, as General Cota told a group of the 5th Ranger Battalion, “We are counting on the Rangers to lead the way,” but then proceeded to lead the men himself, through a dangerous route off the beach.

When reflecting upon this momentous 75th anniversary of D-Day, a high-water mark in this nation’s history, it’s astounding to consider how successful this operation was given the lack of edge our military had over the enemy. We didn’t have precision-guided bombs and missiles, AC-130 gunships that can scan the caves and hilltops for enemy positions, or pilotless combat aircraft. In fact, the Germans were the ones with the fastest guns in the world, and they had them built into bunkers on the highlands and cliffs at Normandy, creating a kill zone where the 29th Infantry Division landed.

However, what they also lacked on June 6, 1944, was transgender sensitivity training, generals who were politicians and not warriors, a confused sense of morality in warfare, and a divided nation that couldn’t recognize its own clarity of mission, sense of purpose, or national character. They lacked a political and military leadership that would prosecute their best soldiers more rigorously than they pursued the enemy. What they were missing in edge over our enemies, they compensated for with united values, bravery, resolve, and determination.

The lack of technological superiority really showed itself on that fateful Tuesday morning in the English Channel. From intelligence and mechanical failures and an air bombing campaign that missed its mark to dismal weather and just plain bad luck, we paid a heavy price with nearly 2,500 American fatalities and thousands more wounded just in that one day, mainly at Omaha Beach. But thanks to meticulous planning, a clearly defined mission, an intrepid sense of morality, and a united resolve to achieve the mission at all costs, the beachheads were secured by the end of the day, paving the way for over 140,000 American, British, and Canadian troops to make it ashore. The young men who were seasick, weighed down with drenched gear and jammed guns, and many of them wounded and without living superior officers to guide them found a way to get across hundreds of yards of a killing zone to plant the seeds of freedom on the other side of those cliffs.

The great Atlantic wall that took Hitler several years to construct was broken in one day, leading to the freeing of Europe in just 10 months. By the night of June 6, despite the heavy price paid, the Allied Forces were on the European mainland and successfully quelled German counterattack to retake that ground.

To this day, families of WWII veterans can stand on the hallowed ground of Omaha Beach and solemnly reflect with pride on the enormous gains taken and preserved by their parents and grandparents in the fight to protect our national interests and those of all humanity.

It’s a sad contrast to what we see today from our military and political leadership, who are often one and the same, when it comes to a sense of purpose, rules of engagement, and valuing the sacrifice of American troops in the field. While we commemorate what is often called “the longest day,” we continue to languish in “the longest war” in Afghanistan, devoid of any defined mission and national interest, while our soldiers die for nothing but political correctness.

Meanwhile, our own border is invaded with impunity by dangerous cartels, and our military is sent there as sitting ducks without the ability to go after the enemy. Could you imagine Generals Eisenhower, Patton, and Cota allowing our soldiers to be disarmed at our own border in the face of the cartels?

We don’t lack the intrepid fighting spirit of 1944. Our soldiers have displayed bravery in the hellholes of Iraq and Afghanistan similar to what some of their grandparents did at Omaha Beach. It’s that our political leaders are broken. They send troops on senseless missions while hamstringing them on missions that actually matter. In fact, if we actually had the political will to believe in America and our own national interests the way our political and military leaders did in WWII, the marriage of modern technology with today’s fighting spirit of our all-volunteer military would create a force that could not be rivaled.

Oliver Wendell Holmes, in his seminal 1884 Memorial Day speech, explained the significance of this day that “celebrates and solemnly reaffirms from year to year a national act of enthusiasm and faith.” This is vital because “to act with enthusiasm and faith is the condition of acting greatly,” and “to fight out a war, you must believe something and want something with all your might.”

In World War II, our soldiers, generals, and political leaders all knew what they believed in and believed in it with all their might. That belief was transfused into the fighting men on the beaches that fateful day and in those who parachuted behind enemy lines that fearful night. With such a sense of mission in mind, they all understood General Eisenhower’s one rule of engagement: “We will accept nothing less than full victory.”

Perhaps the best way to capture the lesson we should derive from D-Day is to take Calvin Coolidge’s Memorial Day admonishment to heart. On Memorial Day 1927, Coolidge declared, “Reverence for the dead should not be divorced from respect for the living.” Indeed, we honor their sacrifice by championing their legacy in the here and now.

If we hold those who have gone before in high estimation, it will reflected in our conduct toward those who are still with us. It would be idle to place a wreath on the grave of the dead and leave ungarlanded the brow of the living. Our devotion to the memory of those who have served their country in the past is but a symbol of our devotion to those who are serving their country at present.

The only thing worse than placing our soldiers in harm’s way is putting them there without a defined mission, a clear picture of victory, an understanding of what and why we are fighting, and rules of engagement that “accept nothing less than full victory.” We should celebrate the bravery and sacrifice of our grandparents in 1944 not just by saving their important memories and stories but by recommitting to supporting their grandchildren and great-grandchildren in arms with the same degree of moral clarity in battle as generals like Eisenhower, Patton, and Cota did on D-Day. After all, as long as we forge a clear path, “Rangers lead the way.” (For more from the author of “Committing Ourselves to the Principle of ‘Full Victory’ on the 75th Anniversary of D-Day” HERE)

Ilhan Omar Hit with Campaign Violations

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was found by the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board on Thursday to have committed several campaign finance violations — and its findings have revived old questions about the legality of her marriage.

In July 2018, Minnesota State Rep. Steve Drazkowski (R-Mazeppa) filed a complaint with the board against the Neighbors for Ilhan (Omar) campaign committee, which had supported her campaign for state representative. He claimed that she had improperly spent campaign funds on legal work related to her divorce. He later filed additional complaints that she had improperly spent campaign funds on out-of-state travel.

The board’s investigation into Omar found several violations. It noted that while none of Omar’s legal expenses had been for her divorce, she had spent $1,500 on legal expenses related to her personal taxes that were not sufficiently related to the campaign. Furthermore, the board found that some of her out-of-state travel expenses were not related to her legislative duties. She has been ordered to pay reimbursements to her campaign, to file amended campaign finance statements, and to pay a civil fine of $500 to the state.

The board’s report also noted that Omar and Ahmed Hirsi, her current husband, “filed joint tax returns for 2014 and 2015.” That could add fuel to persistent allegations that Omar had been married to two men at the same time — one of whom, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, City Journal noted in 2016, was rumored (though never proven) to be her brother. . .

The campaign finance board’s report notes that Omar filed joint tax returns with Hirsi. But by her own admission in 2016, she was not yet legally divorced from Elmi. There is no legal basis for a joint filing by an unmarried couple. (Read more from “Ilhan Omar Hit with Campaign Violations” HERE)

Joe Biden Flips on Abortion Stance

By Breitbart. Former Vice President Joe Biden declared his opposition to the Hyde Amendment on Thursday, just days after his campaign reaffirmed his support of it.

Biden revealed his new position during a speech at the IWillVote Gala hosted by The Democratic National Committee in Atlanta, Georgia. The Hyde Amendment prevents taxpayer funds from being used to fund abortions.

Biden said that although he supported the Hyde Amendment as a United States Senator, he realized that “times have changed.”

“For many years as U.S. Senator, I have supported the Hyde Amendment like many many others have,” he said. . .

“I’ve been struggling with the problems that Hyde now presents,” he said, arguing that if the federal government was going to start providing universal health care, it would need to fund abortions. (Read more from “Joe Biden Flips on Abortion Stance” HERE)

Joe Biden Just Had the Worst Week of His 2020 Campaign

By Business Insider. Former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign is having its worst week since launching in April.

Biden was in hot water even before his campaign officially launched in April, after four women accused him of unwanted touching and invading their personal space.

The former vice president didn’t make things any smoother when he released a video that critics deemed a ” non-apology apology,” in which Biden said he would try to do better going forward, but did not explicitly apologize for his past conduct.

Still, he surged in the polls as soon as he entered the race thanks in part to his longstanding popularity within the Democratic Party, his name recognition, and a strong alliance with former President Barack Obama.

But the last few days have been a test for the frontrunner’s campaign, as a host of controversies over his biggest weaknesses make the former vice president vulnerable to criticism from some of the most prominent factions of the Democratic Party. ISIS Scheme to Send Terrorists to U.S. Over Mexican Border Revealed in Chilling Report

A chilling confession from a captured ISIS fighter has shed light on how the terrorist group intended to exploit the vulnerabilities of the U.S. border with Mexico, using English speakers and westerners to take advantage of smuggling routes and target financial institutions.

Seized ISIS fighter Abu Henricki, a Canadian citizen with dual citizenship with Trinidad, last month said that he was sought out by the violent insurgency’s leadership to attack the U.S. from a route starting in Central America, according to a study by the International Center for the Study of Violent Extremism (ICSVE) and published in Homeland Security Today.

“ISIS has organized plots in Europe with returnees so it seems entirely plausible that they wanted to send guys out to attack. The issue that makes a North American attack harder is the travel is more difficult from Syria,” Anne Speckhard, who co-conducted the study as the director of ICSVE and Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Georgetown University, told Fox News. “So the idea that they would instead use people who were not known to their own governments as having joined ISIS might make it possible for them to board airplanes.”

Henricki allegedly traveled to Syria with the intention of serving as an ISIS fighter, but was later told he could not take on soldier duties due to a chronic illness. At the end of 2016, he claimed to have been “invited” by the ISIS intelligence wing – known as the emni – to join other Trinidadians and launch financial attacks on the U.S. . .

“The plan came from someone from the New Jersey state of America. I was going to take the boat from Puerto Rico into Mexico. He was going to smuggle me in,” the ISIS cadre continued. (Read more from “ISIS Scheme to Send Terrorists to U.S. Over Mexican Border Revealed in Chilling Report” HERE)

Trump GOES OFF on Pelosi: ‘Nasty, Vindictive, Horrible’

By Fox News. . . .Speaking exclusively to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham in Normandy, France, in an interview that aired Thursday, the president first took time to pay tribute to the heroes who fought on D-Day 75 years ago, describing them as “incredibly brave people” who displayed incredible “valor.”

Then, the president switched gears, slamming Pelosi, D-Calif., as a “nasty, vindictive, horrible person” — after saying he had “tried to be nice to her.”

“I think she’s a disgrace. I actually don’t think she’s a talented person, I’ve tried to be nice to her because I would have liked to have gotten some deals done,” Trump said on “The Ingraham Angle.”

“She’s incapable of doing deals, she’s a nasty, vindictive, horrible person, the Mueller report came out, it was a disaster for them.” (Read more from “Trump GOES off on Pelosi: ‘Nasty, Vindictive, Horrible'” HERE)

Mark Meadows: Russia Investigation’s Origins ‘Built on a Foundation of Sand’

By Fox News. The origins of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation are built on a flimsy foundation, according to House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows.

Rep. Meadows, R-N.C., reacted to reports Mueller could be called by Democrats to testify before Congress, in an appearance Thursday on “Hannity.”

Meadows claimed the FBI and Justice Department knew shortly into the probe that former British spy Christopher Steele — who compiled the anti-Trump dossier — was not a “credible” individual, among other developments.

“Within 60 days of them opening the investigation, prior to Bob Mueller coming on, the FBI and DOJ knew that Christopher Steele was not credible, the dossier was not true and [former Trump campaign associate] George Papadopoulos was innocent,” the lawmaker claimed.

“And so, when you look at that foundation, it’s all built really on a foundation of sand, and that’s going to start to show very soon.” (Read more from “Mark Meadows: Russia Investigation’s Origins ‘Built on a Foundation of Sand'” HERE)

WATCH: 13-Year-Old Girl Gets Verbally Attacked for Denouncing Abortion

On Tuesday night, at a Raleigh, North Carolina City Council public meeting, a 13-year-old girl pleaded for the city to make abortion illegal, comparing abortion to slavery, prompting some members of the audience to shout her down.

13-year-old Addison Woolsey began:

My name is Addison Woolsey. I strongly believe that abortion is murder. I also believe murder is wrong, so I’m here to ask you to make abortion illegal in Raleigh. Abortion should be illegal because it’s murder. The definition of murder is the killing of one human being by another without justification and acting with intended malice. When mothers choose to slaughter their innocent babies they already have fingerprints, noses; they can recognize their mom’s voice. They can hiccup and their heart is beating … On ultrasounds the baby tries to run away from the disturbing instruments that try to kill the baby. The baby’s mouth opens wide in a scream when being killed. These babies are alive. They feel being killed. It hurts them and there is nothing they can do about it. There is no way around it. Abortion is murder.

. . .

Abortion reminds me of slavery. Owners said that their slaves were their property and they could do whatever they wanted with them. Just how moms feel about their babies. My hope is that in a few years we’ll look back at abortion and think, “That was so cruel. I can’t believe we did that. Just how I look back at slavery. The question is, who will you be? The slave owner? … Rosa Parks ? Or Abraham Lincoln? Who are you going to be? Make a choice. My choice is made. I’m here today standing up for what’s right. I’m here today speaking for those who can’t speak for themselves. Are you choosing to be like the plantation owner flogging the little black child?

. . .

The News & Observer reported, “Some of the anti-abortion speakers were shouting back at those interrupting Woosley. One man used his cell phone to film a woman sitting near the anti-abortion people. She flipped him off, saying ‘right here, pal’ and police officers took her out of the room. She was later allowed back in.”

Religious Freedom Loss: Supreme Court Rules Against Florist Who Refused Same-Sex Wedding

In a hotly anticipated decision, the Washington Supreme Court ruled against a florist who was fined for not providing services for a gay couple’s wedding.

The court had previously heard the case, State of Washington v. Arlene’s Flowers, ruling that Barronelle Stutzman and her store, Arlene’s Flowers, violated the Washington Law Against Discrimination (WLAD) for refusing to make floral arrangements for a gay couple in 2013. Stutzman claimed that she was only acting in accordance with her religious beliefs. The U.S. Supreme Court asked the state high court to take another look at whether it violated her religious rights by not being neutral to her religion when making its decision. . .

“We now hold that the answer to the Supreme Court’s question is no; the adjudicatory bodies that considered this case did not act with religious animus when they ruled that the florist and her corporation violated the Washington Law Against Discrimination … by declining to sell wedding flowers to a gay couple,” the Washington Supreme Court’s ruling said, “and they did not act with religious animus when they ruled that such discrimination is not privileged or excused by the United States Constitution or the Washington Constitution.”

The U.S. Supreme Court held off on reviewing the case so that the state court could take another look in light of the 2018 SCOTUS decision in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. That case drew national attention, as it pitted the First Amendment against LGBT rights.

The high court declined to get involved in that battle, however, ruling in favor of the baker by stating that the Colorado commission was improperly hostile to his religious beliefs when they found him in violation of a state law. The U.S. Supreme Court asked the Washington Supreme Court to make sure they did not make the same mistake.
