Pro-Trump Former Beauty Queen Attacked at Prestigious College as White Supremacist. Too Bad She’s Not White.

Kathy Zhu — a politically conservative University of Michigan student who made headlines this summer after her Miss Indiana and Michigan World America title was stripped due to social media posts pageant officials deemed “insensitive” — is under attack again. . .

Next to the text is a photo of Zhu wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat — which is apparently like kryptonite to leftists, as the cap is the iconic symbol of President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign — and making the “OK” sign, which apparently is no longer OK to make since leftists say it now stands for “white power.”

Underneath Zhu’s photo is another image of what appears to be actual white supremacists at the infamous “Unite the Right” march in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017.

“This is complete slander and incites violence towards me,” Zhu’s tweet reads. “Being a Trump supporter does not make me a white supremacist. I’m also Asian if you [social justice warriors] can’t tell.” . . .

Zhu told the College Fix that she filed a report with campus police Tuesday, and that they will give her their “game plan” Wednesday. The outlet said police are scanning campus for more posters and “might also look at security camera footage to see who was the one that posted the fliers.” (Read more from “Pro-Trump Former Beauty Queen Attacked at Prestigious College as White Supremacist. New Poll: Who Will Win the Democratic Primary?

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s once-solid double-digit lead over the rest of the field of 2020 Democratic Party presidential nominees shrunk, in recent weeks, before slightly expanding again over the past two weeks. Biden currently stands 6.6% above second-place Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) in the average of recent national polling. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) round out the top five in most recent national polling. Increasingly, the field appears to be shaping up as a three-horse race among Biden, Warren, and Sanders. But Sanders is poised to be the odd man out of the troika, due to a combination of health problems and the fact his socialist political platform is no longer unique.

Biden’s once-formidable lead has dramatically narrowed since its high watermark in May, as the senior statesman frequently commits gaffes on the campaign trail and oftentimes comes across as simply being too old to assume the mantle of commander-in-chief. It remains to be seen just how much of Biden’s continued fall can also be attributed to fallout from the recent Ukraine phone call national scandal and impeachment imbroglio. Warren has been surging for awhile now, although her national polling has taken a bit of a drop over the past couple of weeks. Warren and Sanders seem to be competing for a very similar voting demographic, and it is interesting to ponder the possibility of how one candidate would likely be substantially elevated were the other to drop out and endorse the other. Some polling data suggests that Sanders hypothetically dropping out would help Warren more than it would help Biden. But Sanders may be in this for the long haul, after all.

Electoral prediction market website PredictIt also pegs Warren as the favorite to win the presidential nomination over Biden — with Sanders, Buttigieg, and political novice Andrew Yang following next. But while PredictIt showed Warren with an overwhelming lead recently, her lead has over Biden has narrowed, of late. It is likely that many of these bettors are skittish about Biden’s age and perceived substantive centrism — with the latter especially worrisome among a Democratic Party base that is increasingly brazen and unabashed in its promotion of ardent, full-spectrum leftism.

The RealClearPolitics polling average for 10/11/19 – 10/22/19 shows Biden with an average national polling lead of 6.6%. (Read more from “New Poll: Who Will Win the Democratic Primary?” HERE)

President Trump Announces ‘Permanent Ceasefire’ in Syria

President Trump on Wednesday announced that Turkey and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syria will begin a “permanent ceasefire” as he renewed his pledge that the United States military will leave the region.

“Let someone else fight over this long-bloodstained sand,” Trump said in the Diplomatic Room at the White House, accompanied by Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and White House National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien. “We were supposed to be there for 30 days. That was almost 10 years ago. So we’re there for 30 days, and now we’re leaving. It’s supposed to be a very quick hit, and let’s get out, and it was a quick hit except they stayed for almost 10 years,” he added.

Trump said that he heard on Wednesday morning that the ceasefire would begin. “Earlier this morning, the government of Turkey informed my administration that they would be stopping combat and their offensive in Syria and making the ceasefire permanent,” he said.

“I do believe it will be permanent,” he said. “How we define the word ‘permanent’ in that part of the world is somewhat questionable, we all know that, but I believe it will be permanent.” . . .

“I want to again thank everyone on the American team who helped achieve the cease fire in Syria, saved so many lives. Along with president [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan of Turkey, a man I’ve gotten to know very well, and a man who loves his country,” Trump said. “And in his mind, he’s doing the right thing for his country.” (Read more from “Trump Announces ‘Permanent Ceasefire’ in Syria Between Turkey and Kurds” HERE)

Gun Owners Beware: Facebook Using Photos to Keep Track of Your Weapons

It’s no secret that technology plays an important role in our lives. Almost every single aspect of our life is ruled by technology, from smart phones to computers and the internet. That’s why it’s not surprising to know that Google and Facebook are keeping tabs on gun owners’ firearms.

According to The Firearms Blog (TFB), the two tech giants are scanning users’ pictures to look for serial numbers. They’re then creating an index of every person’s firearms based on the image scans. If you’ve posted a picture of your firearm on a social networking site and didn’t smear out the serial number, chances are it’s indexed on Google images. Simply type in the serial number in quotes and search images. What comes up?

The guys at TFB went through their image library and found images of various firearms and silencers where the serial number is clearly visible. They then typed it into Google and viola! Every image from their website showed up in the image results.

Although it’s unlikely for a random person to have your the serial number on your firearms, it is absolutely dangerous for social media giants to have this information. Facebook and Instagram are both owned by the same company. Same with YouTube and Google. When these platforms data mine this information, this creates an extremely dangerous situation. House Ethics Committee Launches Investigation Into Congresswoman’s Sex Scandal

The House Ethics Committee on Wednesday announced their intent to investigate freshman Congresswoman Katie Hill (D-CA) for having an extra-martial affair with a congressional staffer. The announcement was made after intimate photos of Hill were posted online without her consent.

The Committee is aware of public allegations that Representative Katie Hill may have engaged in a sexual relationship with an individual on her congressional staff, in violation of House Rule XXIII, clause 18(a). The Committee, pursuant to Committee Rule 18(a), has begun an investigation and will gather additional information regarding the allegations.

The Committee notes that the mere fact that it is investigating these allegations, and publicly disclosing its review, does not itself indicate that any violation has occurred, or reflect any judgment on behalf of the Committee. No other public comment will be made on this matter except in accordance with Committee rules.

Two weeks ago, our friends at RedState broke news that Hill was allegedly having an affair with her Legislative Director, Graham Kelly, and a throuple relationship with a female campaign staffer, whose name has yet to be released.

Hill has repeatedly said she’s going through a divorce from her abusive husband but text messages show Hill, her husband, Kenny Heslep, and the female staffer has an ongoing relationship. The husband admits in text messages to the campaign staffer that he and Hill abused her. (Read more from “House Ethics Committee Launches Investigation Into Katie Hill’s Sex Scandal” HERE)

Ironic Twist: Democrats’ Impeachment Probe Interfering in Ongoing Presidential Race

By Breitbart. The House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry into whether President Donald Trump attempted to influence the looming 2020 elections may interfere with the outcome of the presidential race in an ironic twist.

In other words, the Democrats are doing what they accuse Trump of trying to do: interfering in the ongoing presidential race. House Democrats launched the impeachment inquiry on September 24, months before the American public goes to the polls to elect the next president in November 2020.

Until the American public votes in November 2020, it will remain unclear whether the Democrats’ impeachment effort will hurt or benefit Trump. The impeachment probe, however, is already having an impact on the ongoing 2020 presidential election, potentially changing the minds of some voters.

Mainstream media outlets have acknowledged that impeachment could have collateral effects linked to the 2020 elections.

“Impeachment could drastically affect the 2020 election,” MSNBC conceded on September 25, a day after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced the impeachment probe. (Read more from “Ironic Twist: Democrats’ Impeachment Probe Interfering in Ongoing Presidential Race” HERE)

How the Impeachment Inquiry Could Affect the 2020 U.S. Election

By Quartz. . .Because 2020 is an election year, both sides will manage proceedings with an eye to the November poll. It is possible the house will vote before the end of the year: the decision to impeach Bill Clinton for lying under oath was made in the last three months of 1998.

Clinton was cleared by the Senate by the following February, so it is also possible the Senate will hold its own proceedings before most of the presidential primaries commence. It takes two-thirds of the Senate to remove a president from office, which has never happened.

While several Republican house representatives have expressed concern about the president’s behavior, the overwhelming majority of Republican politicians are either supporting him or remaining silent. . .

At the moment, Elizabeth Warren challenges Biden’s lead in the polls, with Bernie Sanders the only other candidate consistently supported by more than 10% of Democrats. None of the others in a crowded field—12 have qualified to take part in the next televised Democratic debate—have much support, and they will start to drop out once the primary season begins in February 2020.

If Biden continues to lose support, there is room for someone to emerge as the moderate front-runner, given that both Warren and Sanders represent the more radical instincts of the party. This is presumably why so many candidates are determined to continue campaigning, even when some of them rarely muster 2% in the polls. CIA ‘Rattled’ by DOJ Inquiry Into Russia Investigation Origins

The Justice Department’s review of the origins of the Russia investigation created “unease” at the CIA, according to a reporter who has followed its progress.

Uncertainty over what investigators are seeking and whether the inquiry has become a criminal investigation has prompted some CIA analysts who played a role in the intelligence assessment of Russia’s activities during the 2016 campaign to hire lawyers.

“It’s really not clear where he’s going with this, but a lot of people are very rattled. Those CIA analysts I mentioned had to hire their own lawyers because no one’s even sure whether this is a criminal investigation or not. And if it is a criminal investigation, what is the allegation of wrongdoing? No one I talked to can answer that,” Ken Dilanian said on Monday’s episode of Morning Joe on MSNBC. . .

A similar report was published by the New York Times that notes President Trump granted Barr expansive powers for the inquiry, but Durham lacked subpoena power and could only request documents and interviews when he was tasked with the review earlier this year because a criminal investigation was not opened. The report also states, however, that it is unclear whether the status of the review has changed.

“There’s a lot of unease at the CIA and disquiet about the notion of federal prosecutors going over and rooting in their files,” Dilanian said. “Not because they think they did anything wrong, but because these are sources and methods — some of the most highly classified documents and secrets in our government. And they are kept to a small set of people for a reason. It’s a need-to-know situation. And they’re questioning what is the need for John Durham and his prosecutors to go over and talk to them about that in the absence of any allegation of wrongdoing?”

Pontius Pilate-Commissioned ‘Lost’ Road to Temple Mount Uncovered

A 2,000-year-old street believed to have been created under the orders of Pontius Pilate has been found in Jerusalem.

A research published in Tel Aviv: Journal of the Institute of Archaeology details a hidden road that has been excavated for the past six years. More than 100 coins that date back to 31 A.D. were founding underneath the paving stones, which “provides strong evidence that the street was commissioned by Pontius Pilate,” according to a statement announcing the findings.

“Dating using coins is very exact,” said one of the study’s co-authors, Donald Ariel, an archaeologist and coin expert with the Israel Antiquities Authority, in the statement. “As some coins have the year in which they were minted on them, what that means is that if a coin with the date 30 CE on it is found beneath the street, the street had to be built in the same year or after that coin had been minted, so any time after 30 CE.”

“However, our study goes further, because statistically, coins minted some 10 years later are the most common coins in Jerusalem, so not having them beneath the street means the street was built before their appearance, in other words only in the time of Pilate,” Ariel added.

The newly discovered stretch of road spans 220 meters (721 feet) and goes from the Pool of Siloam to Temple Mount. This roadway likely used by worshippers who were headed toward Temple Mount, considered a holy site by Christians and Jews. China-Born U.S. Navy Lieutenant, Wife Arrested Over Attempts to Export Guns to China

A Navy Lieutenant and his wife were arrested in a joint FBI and NCIS raid Thursday in the San Jose area. The raid occurred at the home of Navy Lt. Fan Yang and his wife, Yang Yang on 6901 Salamanca Ave. Documents obtained by First Coast News say Fan Yang currently holds a top-secret US security clearance and is actively serving in the Navy in a sensitive anti-submarine warfare unit. He was assigned to the Maritime Patrol Reconnaissance Weapons School at Naval Air Station Jacksonville.

Fan Yang was born in China, emigrated to the United States in 1999 as a teenager, and became a US citizen in 2006, according to the documents. The accusations against the Yangs include conspiracy to defraud the United States, importing and manufacturing firearms, transfer of a firearm to a non-resident and conspiracy to violate federal law (specifically knowing submission of false and misleading export information).

Fan Yang is also charged with illegal possession of a firearm by an alien admitted under a non-immigrant visa. His wife is accused of submitting false and misleading export information and fraudulently trying to export illegal merchandise from the US to China.

The court documents say the couple worked together to assist a Chinese national in illegally possessing firearms between March 2017 and Sept. 2019. The documents indicate the couple lied to hide the true nature of that relationship. One account in the documents says Fan Yang requested time off from work to take his family to Disney. But investigators say credit cards linked to him and his wife show flights purchased to Sioux City, Iowa and a meal bought in Sioux City, Nebraska the weekend they were reportedly at the amusement park. That same weekend, documents say a one-way flight to an airport 100 miles away from Sioux City, Nebraska was also purchased by Fan Yang for the Chinese national. BIAS: Facebook CEO and His Wife Privately Recommended Staff Hires to Pete Buttigieg

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has privately made hiring recommendations to presidential contender Pete Buttigieg, the Indiana Democrat’s campaign confirmed Monday, revealing that the Big Tech executive has played a larger role in the 2020 election than was previously known.

Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, recommended two individuals earlier this year who were ultimately hired, campaign spokesman Chris Meagher said. The recommendations came “around the launch when we were getting a ton of incoming resumes,” Meagher wrote in a text message, confirming a report by Bloomberg News.

The suggestions are notable because they come amid heightened scrutiny on the social media platform. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, another Democratic contender, has threatened to break up the company and other technology giants, while conservatives have accused Zuckerberg of censoring right-wing voices.

Facebook has been accused of providing a platform for disinformation during the last presidential election, and has been criticized for refusing to remove ads for President Donald Trump’s reelection that include false information. . .

Buttigieg has criticized Facebook and the other Big Tech platforms, though he has not gone as far as Warren. In April, Buttigieg said that he would empower the FTC to take on a heightened regulatory role when it came to Facebook and the other platforms. In May, Buttigieg said that Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes “made a very convincing case” about how Zuckerberg and other tech executives had too much power. Hughes has since left the company.
