‘I Want to Thank the Lord’: These Super Bowl LIV Winners Give God All the Glory; Patrick Mahomes Leads Chiefs to Late Comeback Win Over 49ers in Thrilling Game

By CBN News. The Kansas City Chiefs are taking home the trophy after winning Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Florida, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 31 – 20 after a remarkable comeback.

After the victory, Chiefs Chairman and CEO Chuck Hunt said, “I want to thank the Lord for blessing us with all these incredible people to bring this trophy home.” . . .

Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named MVP of the Super Bowl, carrying the ball into the end zone on his own for one of the Chiefs’ crucial touchdowns. He’s easily one of the most electrifying players in the league and he says his faith in God is the source of his success.

“Doing what I do every single day, and then knowing that as long I’m doing everything the right way, the way that He’d want me to do it, then I can walk off the field with my head held high and be able to be the man that I’m supposed to be. It’s given me a lot of blessing in my life and I’m trying to maximize and glorify Him in everything I do,” said Mahomes.

The 49ers running back Raheem Mostert played a key role in helping his team take the lead earlier in the big game. Mostert says his faith in God helps him weather the bumps and blows of life. (Read more from “‘I Want to Thank the Lord’: These Super Bowl LIV Winners Give God All the Glory” HERE)

2020 Super Bowl Score: Patrick Mahomes Leads Chiefs to Late Comeback Win Over 49ers in Thrilling Game

By CBS Sports. A chilly, breezy night in South Florida ended with fireworks as the Kansas City Chiefs concluded Super Bowl LIV in signature fashion, coming back from a double-digit deficit to leave Hard Rock Stadium with a double-digit win in Super Bowl LIV, 31-20 over the San Francisco 49ers. After seeing his offense somewhat limited for three quarters, Chiefs star quarterback and game MVP Patrick Mahomes led Kansas City with two fourth-quarter touchdowns, including the go-ahead score, as Kansas City’s defense held San Francisco scoreless over the final 15 minutes. . .

Two weeks after that on Super Bowl Sunday, it again looked like the Chiefs’ run was flat-out over. They didn’t fall down quite as quickly this time around, and that’s what actually made things seem more dire. This time, the Chiefs went down by double digits with just over 2 minutes left in the third quarter, and by midway through the fourth, they had yet to cut into the deficit.

But with 8:33 left on the clock, Mahomes went to work. He found wide receiver Tyreek Hill open in space on multiple occasions, including on a 44-yard bomb that set the Chiefs up in position to score for the first time since early in the second quarter. He then found tight end Travis Kelce open over the top of the defense, but Kelce was interfered with and the ball was placed on the 1-yard line. A fake to running back Damien Williams and a bit of a rollout left Kelce wide open in the end zone on the next play, and the Chiefs had sliced their deficit to just three points. . .

Despite trailing for more than 21 minutes of game time, the Chiefs finally reclaimed the lead. They never relinquished it. In fact, they only added to it with Williams tacking on another score with 1:12 to play as Kansas City was simply attempting to run out the clock for their first Super Bowl victory in half a century. . .

In the end, Mahomes and Williams and Hill and Kelce and Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo (through his unheralded defense) wound up with yet another double-digit playoff victory despite having face a double-digit deficit early in the game. It’s what these Chiefs did all postseason, and it was how they ultimately won Super Bowl LIV. Buttigieg: I Know 63 Million People Voted for Trump but They’re Still Racist (VIDEO)

Former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg has repeatedly said those who support President Donald Trump are racist. CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday asked Buttigieg if he regretted making those comments.

“Republicans have been seizing, including in a new Trump ad, a statement you made that ‘Anyone who supported this president is, at best, looking the other way on racism.’ You’ve also said that on my show,” Tapper explained. “That’s almost 63 million Americans who you’re painting with a pretty broad brush. Do you regret saying that at all?” . . .

“No. I’m very concerned about the racial division that this president has fostered,” the 2020 Democratic candidate explained. “And I’m meeting a lot of voters who are no longer willing to look the other way on that, looking for a new political home.”

Catholic Church in Nigeria Appeals to the West: ‘Make Known the Atrocities’

The president of the Nigerian bishops’ conference has launched an appeal to the West to “make known the atrocities” being suffered by Christians throughout the country.

Nigeria is living in an unprecedented climate of insecurity not seen since the civil war of 1967-1970, which is particularly affecting Christians, said the President of the Bishops’ Conference, Augustine Obiora Akubeze, Archbishop of Benin City.

While “in the past security problems were limited to the north-east of Nigeria, now there is insecurity throughout the whole country,” the archbishop said in an interview with the papal foundation Aid to the Church in Need (ACN).

In the face of this “serious lack of security and the increase in anti-Christian attacks,” the prelate called on Western governments and media to “make known the atrocities” taking place in Nigeria. “In this way our government may feel pressure and act,” the archbishop said, and in this way the other nations of the international community may “feel a moral obligation to protect the lives of Christians and all Nigerians who are constantly attacked and killed by Boko Haram and the Islamist Fulani herdsmen.” . . .

Catholics are not the only victims of religious violence in the country, however. This past month, the Rev. Lawan Andimi, a local leader of the Christian Association of Nigeria, was beheaded by jihadists in the northeast after having been kidnapped in early January by an armed group of the so-called Islamic State. Google Employees Used Company Resources to Organize Anti-Trump Resistance Events

Google employees interpreted Trump’s election as a terrible outcome that they should have done more to prevent the American people from choosing and something they would work hard to make sure didn’t happen again. Indeed, I obtained documents and communications showing Google employees organizing anti-Trump protests using internal company channels, company time, and company office space.

“If your stomach turns when you consider a Trump presidency, I urge you not to let this moment pass quietly,” one Google employee wrote in an email to coworkers, urging them to attend an anti-Trump protest in San Francisco ten days after Trump’s election.

Another Google employee in March 2017 hosted an anti-Trump resistance event at Google to flood the White House mail room with anti-Trump postcards. “Hi all,” the email began, “I’m participating in #TheIdesofTrump, a national movement to send POTUS a postcard on March 15 expressing opposition to him.” The message stated that employees had reserved a room at Google’s San Francisco headquarters for Google employees to gather and write the anti-Trump postcards. Trump Supporter Nick Bosa Voted Defensive Rookie of the Year; Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers Set for Super Bowl Showdown

By Breitbart. While President Trump rallies voters to his cause in the run up to the 2020 election, one of his supporters has already secured a crushing majority of votes in a more low-profile, albeit important election of his own.

49ers defensive end and noted Trump supporter Nick Bosa, secured an overwhelming number of votes and won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award. The former Buckeye received 43 of the 50 votes for the award, with the remaining 7 votes going to three different players.

Away from the field, Bosa has referred to President Trump as the “GOAT” on Twitter, he has also tweeted support of conservative commentator Tomi Lahren, and called anthem-protester Colin Kaepernick “a Clown.”

After he was drafted #2 overall by the 49ers, Trump congratulated the former Buckeye to “stay true” to himself:

WATCH: Trump’s Compelling Super Bowl Ad Ignores Two Key Economic Realities

Super Bowl viewers hoping for a break from partisan bickering and politics are in for a disappointment. Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg bought a commercial for the widely-watched event and decided to use his chance to reach millions of Americans to push misinformation and fearmonger in favor of his anti-gun agenda. Meanwhile, President Trump tapped into his war chest to run an ad of his own, making the case for his reelection.

Trump spent $11 million on the commercial, which emphasizes his strong economic record. It highlights the record-low unemployment rate we’ve seen during this administration, as well as burgeoning wage growth and strong economic prospects for African Americans and Hispanics. The president makes the case that voters should back him because “the best is yet to come.”

As my Washington Examiner colleague Tiana Lowe noted, it’s a strong ad with the right focus. Trump is wise politically to focus on the economy, rather than repeat his 2018 midterm mistake and make 2020 about anti-immigration sentiment. And the president absolutely does deserve credit for the successful economic results we’ve seen in part due to his tax cuts, deregulatory agenda, and pro-business policies. But, as most political ads do, Trump’s commercial leaves out a few key economic realities that voters ought to be aware of.

For one, Trump has completely, utterly failed to reign in the national debt and the annual budget deficit.

On the campaign trail in 2016, he promised to eliminate the debt entirely within eight years. (A very, very unrealistic promise.) Instead, we’re back up to $1 trillion annual deficits, bloated budget deals, and woeful future fiscal projects from the Congressional Budget Office. This isn’t entirely Trump’s fault, as both parties’ leaderships in Congress deserve serious demerits for such reckless spending as well, yet, it’s a blight on his tenure nonetheless, especially in light of the unrealistic promises he made. U.S. Troops Who Recently Traveled to China Quarantined in South Korea; China Reports Bird Flu Outbreak Near Epicenter of Coronavirus

By Washington Examiner. U.S. troops who traveled to China in the last two weeks were ordered to self-quarantine amid the coronavirus outbreak, according to American military officials in South Korea.

“The 14-day quarantine applies to any service members returning to South Korea from mainland China since Jan. 19, regardless of whether they show any symptoms,” officials said Sunday. There are not any known cases of American military personnel being infected with the deadly virus.

U.S. Forces Korea also encouraged family members, Pentagon civilians, contractors, South Korean employees, and United Nations military personnel to quarantine themselves “in the interest of public health safety.” (Read more from “U.S. Troops Who Recently Traveled to China Quarantined in South Korea” HERE)

GOP Lawmaker Claims Constitution Allows for Jailing, Shooting of Socialists: They Are Enemies of the Free State

A Republican lawmaker in Montana claimed Saturday that the Constitution allows for the shooting or imprisonment of socialists.

State Rep. Rodney Garcia (R) first made the remark on Friday following a speech by former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, according to the Billings Gazette. Garcia told Zinke he is worried that socialists are “entering our government,” and suggested the Constitution permits jailing or shooting socialists. . .

However, when Garcia was questioned about the comments on Saturday, he doubled down and called socialists “enemies of the free state” and said their ideology is “very dangerous.”

“So actually in the Constitution of the United States (if) they are found guilty of being a socialist member you either go to prison or are shot,” he said.

“They’re enemies of the free state,” Garcia added. “What do we do with our enemies in war? In Vietnam, (Afghanistan), all those. What did we do?” (Read more from “GOP Lawmaker Claims Constitution Allows for Jailing, Shooting of Socialists: They Are Enemies of the Free State” HERE)

New Poll Finds Trump at Record Highs Despite Impeachment Trial

If House Democrats thought that by impeaching President Donald Trump would politically wound him heading into 2020, a new poll shows they were way off.

According to a new national NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey released Saturday as the Senate begins concluding the impeachment trial of the president, the number of voters who “strongly approve” of the nation’s 45th commander in chief has hit a “new high.” . . .

As USA Today noted, 46 percent of registered voters told researchers they approved of the job Trump was doing in office, while a little more than half (51 percent) disapproved. The five-point difference between the two is an improvement for Trump from the 10-point (44-54) gap the same pollsters found in December.

“We’ve been through an impeachment inquiry in the House, a trial in the Senate, and America’s attitudes about Donald Trump have hardly budged,” Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt, who conducted the survey with GOP strategist Bill McInturff, said.

In fact, the impeachment process may have even boosted Trump’s numbers. USA Today reported that 36 percent of respondents indicated they “strongly” approved of his performance, the highest number since Trump took office. Additionally, one-third (33 precent) said they had “very positive” feelings about Trump, another high for the president. Muslim Goes on Stabbing Spree in London Terror Attack

Law enforcement officials in London shot and killed a man on Sunday who allegedly went on a mass stabbing spree in a “terrorist-related” attack. . .

“As part of a proactive Counter Terrorism operation, armed officers were in immediate attendance and shot a male suspect, who was pronounced dead at the scene,” D’Orsi continued. “A device was found strapped to the body of the suspect and specialist officers attended. Cordons were put in place and it was quickly established that this was a hoax device.”

“The situation has been contained and officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command are now leading an investigation into the incident,” D’Orsi added. “The incident was quickly declared as a terrorist incident and we believe it to be Islamist-related.”

British Prime Minister responded to the attack by tweeting, “Thank you to all emergency services responding to the incident in Streatham, which the police have now declared as terrorism-related. My thoughts are with the injured and all those affected.”

Johnson later added: “An investigation is taking place at pace to establish the full facts of what happened, and the Government will provide all necessary support to the police and security services as this work goes on.” (Read more from “Muslim Goes on Stabbing Spree in London Terror Attack” HERE)
