It Is Resistance, Not Trump, That Needs to Learn to Accept Election Results; President Trump Comments on Possible Biden VP Pick

By The Federalist. The media and Democrats have returned to their pre-2016 election talking point that Donald Trump won’t accept election results. But after nearly four years of refusing to accept their defeat in the last presidential election, it is they and other members of the Resistance who must commit to accepting election results that don’t go their way. . .

Following the inauguration, the Resistance continued to ruthlessly fight Trump’s administration of government and to perpetuate the false and damaging Russia collusion conspiracy theory, leading to a sprawling special counsel investigation. When that ended in humiliating fashion for the Resistance with no evidence of collusion, they attempted to argue that Trump complaining about falsely being accused of being a traitor meant he had obstructed justice. . .

This is all happening while prominent leftist voices are claiming that Trump is rigging the 2020 election. New York Times columnist Paul Krugman tweeted out an elaborate conspiracy theory that Trump could not win legitimately but might try to, well, steal the election. MSNBC’s John Heilemann said Trump is engaged in “a genuine attempt potentially through force to try to steal this election.”

It would be funny if it weren’t so infuriating. Actually, it’s still funny, as the satirical news site The Babylon Bee showed with their article, “‘Trump Might Not Accept The Results Of The 2020 Election,’ Says Movement That Still Hasn’t Accepted Results Of 2016 Election.”

Given what they’ve put the country through since November 2016, the groups that need to be asked if they will accept an election loss in November 2020 are the media, Democrat politicians, and other Resistance activists. Trump Says Harris Would Be ‘Fine Choice’ as Biden Running Mate

By Fox News. President Trump is weighing in on one of the likely top contenders Democratic challenger Joe Biden’s considering as his running mate

As he was departing the White House for a trip to Texas on Wednesday, the president was asked about Sen. Kamala Harris. Trump answered that the senator from California would “be a fine choice” as Biden’s vice presidential nominee.

Harris – a former Democratic presidential candidate who took aim at Biden last year on the debate stage – is considered to be one of the top contenders that the presumptive Democratic nominee is considering as his running mate.

The former vice president told reporters Tuesday in Delaware that he would choose his running mate by “the first week in August.” Saturday is the first day of the new month.

Biden has said for a couple of months that his running mate announcement would come in early August, ahead of the Democratic National Convention, which starts on Aug. 17. The former vice president told reporters, “I promise, I’ll let you know when I do.”

The NFL Just Declared War on Church (VIDEO)

A deal reached by the National Football League and the NFL Players Association bans players from attending any indoor church services that are above 25 percent capacity, multiple sources told NBC Sports on Saturday.

Alongside its restrictions on attending worship services, the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) also prohibits players from attending indoor nightclubs and bars (except for take-out), indoor concerts, professional sports games, and indoor parties that include 15 or more people.

The deal has not been publicly released, but NBC Sports made no mention of any restrictions on attending protests. Meanwhile, the NFL’s Twitter account has been sharing and celebrating pictures of players engaging in protests around the country.

Seattle Police Leader Hits Back After Mayor Claims Trump Is Attempting Martial Law

Denying federal law enforcement assistance to combat violence is “unconscionable,” Seattle Police Officers Guild President Michael Solan told “America’s Newsroom” on Wednesday, reacting to comments made by Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan earlier this week.

Speaking on “Erin Burnett Outfront” on CNN on Monday, Durkan said President Trump, “clearly targeted cities run by Democratic mayors. He’s said so himself.”

“He’s using law enforcement as a political tool,” Durkan continued. “I hate to say it, but I really believe that we are seeing the dry run for martial law. This is a president that is using law enforcement and federal forces for political purposes and that should be chilling to every American.”

Solan said: “Clearly what the dry run for Seattle was, the CHAZ/CHOP experience where multiple people were shot and killed.” . . .

“Now I ask for support from any local, state or federal law enforcement entity to help us in Seattle because we almost lost the ability to have less lethal tools that are effective in holding a riotous mob back,” Solan said. How a Tattoo Gave Away a Suspected Arsonist

A suspected arsonist faces up to 20 years in jail for trying to torch Portland’s Justice Center — and he was easily identified thanks to a tattoo of his name on his back, according to prosecutors.

Edward Schinzing, 32, was one of 30 who broke into the area that houses the city’s police headquarters — under the cover of protests in late May, the Department of Justice said. . .

“Schinzing was identified by a comparison with a jail booking photo and a distinctive tattoo of his last name across his upper back,” the department said. . .

“Schinzing spread a fire that started near the front of the office by lighting additional papers on fire and moving them into a drawer of a separate cubicle,” the department said in its statement. . .

Schinzing was charged with using fire to ‘maliciously damage’ the city’s Justice Center. (Read more from “How a Tattoo Gave Away a Suspected Arsonist” HERE)

New ISIS Video: Carry Out Arson Attacks in U.S.

The Islamic State’s media wing has released a video calling for supporters in the United States to commit acts of arson.

The 4-minute video, which was released over the weekend, was produced in both Arabic and English and features high-end video editing, according to a report by the Middle East Media Research Center’s Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor.

The narrator speaks about how ISIS supporters should fight “fire with fire” and includes an image of a military-style rifle while discussing how some would-be terrorists don’t have access to certain weapons. Instead, the narrator advocates for arson attacks and highlights the devastating effect that fires have had recently in places such as Australia, Greece, and the U.S.

“To become more convinced of this option, try looking at the fires in the lands of the crusaders every year. Fires in forests and fields, cities and villages completely destroyed, people displaced, armies of firefighters and civil defense personnel working continuously days to no avail,” the narrator says. He also instructs terrorists to be careful to dispose of incriminating evidence. (Read more from “New ISIS Video: Carry Out Arson Attacks in U.S.” HERE)

GOP Lawmaker: Big Tech ‘Out to Get’ Conservatives

By New York Post. Big Tech is “out to get” conservatives, Rep. Jim Jordan said in explosive opening remarks Wednesday as the CEOs of companies including Facebook and Amazon faced a Congressional grilling.

“I’ll just cut to the chase: Big Tech is out to get conservatives,” said the Ohio Republican with trademark zeal. “That’s not a suspicion, that’s not a hunch. That’s a fact.”

Jordan rattled off a series of double-standards in which the online voices of conservatives, including President Trump, have been silenced, while others have not been similarly restricted.

“The power these companies have to impact what happens during the election … [and] what American citizens get to see prior to their voting is pretty darn important,” said Jordan. . .

“Being big is not inherently bad. Quite the opposite. In America, you should be rewarded for success,” said Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wisconsin) in his opening remarks. “[However], I share the concern that market dominance in the digital space is ripe for abuse, particularly when it comes to free speech.” (Read more from “GOP Lawmaker: Big Tech ‘Out to Get’ Conservatives” HERE)

Zuckerberg Defends Instagram Acquisition, Cook Says All Apps Treated Equally

By CNBC. Rep. Jerry Nadler, D.-NY, on Wednesday drilled Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for the social network’s 2012 acquisition of Instagram.

“The documents you provided tell a very disturbing story, and that story is that Facebook saw Instagram as a powerful threat that could siphon business away from Facebook,” Nadler said during the House Antitrust Subcommittee. “Rather than compete with it, Facebook bought it. This is exactly the type of anticompetitive acquisition that antitrust laws were designed to prevent.” . . .

“At the time, almost no one thought of them as a general social network or competing with us in that space,” Zuckerberg said. “The acquisition has been wildly successful.” . . .

Georgia Rep. Hank Johnson pressed Cook on whether the App Store treats all app developers equally. When Johnson asked if Apple employs two people to help Chinese search engine Baidu help navigate the store, Cook said he did not know.

Johnson also asked about a recent agreement that would allow Apple users to rent movies on Amazon Prime without using Apple’s in-app payment mechanism, which takes a 30% cut of sales, and whether other app makers could enter into the same arrangement. U.S. Plans to Withdraw Nearly 12,000 Troops From Germany

Senior US defense officials announced plans to move US troops in Germany to other locations in Europe and back to the US on Wednesday, emphasizing the strategic reasoning for the moves even as President Donald Trump again stated his personal frustration with Germany as motive for the changes.

At a press conference Wednesday morning, Defense Secretary Mark Esper said the changes supported US strategic goals, which include “optimizing our force presence worldwide” and “moving toward greater use of rotational forces from the United States.”

The current plan “repositions approximately 11,900 military personnel from Germany, from roughly 36,000 down to 24,000,” Esper said. “Of the 11,900, nearly 5,600 service members will be repositioned within NATO countries, and approximately 6,400 will return to the United States, though many of these or similar units will begin conducting rotational deployments back to Europe.”

Outlining the moves, Esper said that US military headquarters units would be consolidated in locations outside Germany — in some cases in the same location as their NATO counterparts in Belgium and Italy — which “strengthen NATO and improve operational efficiency.”

Moving the headquarters of US European Command from Germany to Mons in Belgium puts it in the same place as NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe and will “improve the speed and clarity of our decision-making and promote greater operational alignment,” Gen. Tod Wolters, head of US European Command, said at the briefing. (Read more from “U.S. Plans to Withdraw 12,000 Troops From Germany” HERE)

Ghislaine Maxwell Allegedly Took Photos of Topless Girls as a Disgusting Hobby; Maxwell Attempts to Delay Publication of Epstein Records

By New York Post. Ghislaine Maxwell allegedly photographed topless girls as a “hobby” — keeping the snaps with sex toys in Jeffrey Epstein’s Florida mansion, according to court documents.

The British socialite “had an album full of photographs of people, young girls, girls,” Epstein’s former butler, Juan Alessi, said in an unsealed 2016 deposition revealed by DailyMail.com.

“And I remember that she had. Like a hobby … It was some girls were topless, taking the sun,” he said, while insisting they did not show “any vaginal or things.”

Alessi, 70, also said that he was given access to cash to pay “probably over 100” girls to massage Epstein and Maxwell — and would find sex toys in the room, which he would wash off, according to the Mail’s docs. Ghislaine Maxwell Wants to Delay Publication of Jeffrey Epstein Records; Argues Feds Wrongfully Obtained Her Sworn Testimony

By New York Daily News. Ghislaine Maxwell sought a last-minute delay Wednesday of publication of reams of papers on Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking scheme, arguing the perv’s accusers set a “perjury trap” that landed her in jail.

Maxwell’s request revolved around depositions she took in 2016 in connection with a mostly-secret civil lawsuit filed by Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre. Federal prosecutors cited statements Maxwell made in the depositions in an indictment charging her with perjury.

Maxwell attorney Ty Gee wrote prosecutors should not have had access to the deposition, which remains under seal through a protective order. Someone, he wrote, must have illegally leaked the transcript to the feds.

“The government had no ability legally to obtain the deposition transcripts,” Gee wrote.

“They set a perjury trap for Ms. Maxwell when (Giuffre) took her deposition.” (Read more from “Ghislaine Maxwell Wants to Delay Publication of Jeffrey Epstein Records; Argues Feds Wrongfully Obtained Her Sworn Testimony” HERE)

A vacationing British family got the shock of a lifetime when they found two young migrants hiding in a storage box atop their car, video shows.

The two-minute clip, posted Tuesday on Twitter, shows the moment a British family made the startling find as they stopped at a gas station in Normandy, France. . .

[Warning: video contains explicit language.]

A man then launched into a expletive-laced tirade as the migrant hopped off his car, knocking out what appeared to be a laptop computer, video shows. . .

The pair of migrants – identified as two 16-year-olds from Eritrea and Guinea, according to France’s The Local – then start to walk away as the family demands they empty their pockets while taking stock of their belongings, video shows.

“Where’s our stuff?” one young man asks before a woman in the family says that there’s “nothing there” in the storage box where they were just found. The young migrants then disappeared into nearby shrubs along the highway, video shows. (Read more from “WATCH: Family on Vacation Finds Migrants Hiding in Their Car’s Rooftop Cargo Box” HERE)

Bill Gates Says Schools Should Reopen; CDC Director Admits There Are More Suicides and Overdoses Than COVID Deaths, Lockdowns Bad for Mental Health

Bill Gates Says Schools Should Reopen Despite COVID-19

By Fox News Business. Bill Gates is siding with President Trump, saying US schools should reopen in the fall despite the continued spread of the coronavirus — claiming “the benefits outweigh the costs.”

“I’m a big believer that for young children, the benefits in almost every location — particularly if you can protect the teachers as well — the benefits outweigh the costs,” the billionaire philanthropist said on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” in an interview aired Tuesday.

“As you get up to age, like, 13 and higher, then you’ll have to look at your locale to decide what you’ll do with high schools,” Gates said. “And if they’re not in, then you have to put massive effort into trying to get there to be continued learning online.”

The comments come as Trump continues to push for schools to reopen in September, warning that students are falling behind in their education after months of at-home learning due to the coronavirus lockdown. (Read more from “Bill Gates Says Schools Should Reopen Despite COVID-19” HERE)

CDC Director Admits There Are More Suicides and Overdoses Than COVID Deaths, Lockdowns Bad for Mental Health

By Townhall. Center for Disease Control Director Robert Redfield testified in a Buck Institute webinar that suicides and drug overdoses have surpassed the death rate for COVID-19. Redfield argued that lockdowns and lack of public schooling constituted a disproportionally negative impact on young peoples’ mental health.

“We’re seeing, sadly, far greater suicides now than we are deaths from COVID. We’re seeing far greater deaths from drug overdose that are above excess that we had as background than we are seeing the deaths from COVID,” he said.

Roughly 146,000 people have died from COVID or COVID-related causes in the U.S., according to CDC data.

The most recent publicized federal data records 48,000 deaths from suicide and at least 1.4 million attempts in 2018. In 2019, almost 71,000 people died from drug overdoses.

Where Redfield obtained his data is unknown, although a doctor at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, CA claimed the facility has “seen a year’s worth of suicide attempts in the last four weeks.” He did not say how many deaths occurred, or whether the statement was exaggerated for emphasis.
