Explosive Claim: FBI Agent on Sex Crimes Unit Found Hillary Clinton Emails

An FBI agent investigating child pornography on former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s computer first stumbled on hundreds of thousands of emails, many of which were to and from Hillary Clinton, ahead of the 2016 election, a new book reveals.

The Washington Post’s Devlin Barrett wrote “October Surprise: How the FBI Tried to Save Itself and Crashed an Election,” in which he provides an inside look at what happened in the weeks before the 2016 election — and how the discovery of the Clinton emails threw a wrench into the electoral process.

Special Agent John Robertson was investigating allegations that Weiner sent sexually explicit material to a 15-year-old girl when he stumbled on 600,000 emails from an account belonging to Weiner’s then-wife Huma Abedin, Clinton’s top aide, sitting on Weiner’s laptop. Many of the emails were either to or from the private email address of Clinton, who served as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.

Robertson said he raised the issue with his supervisor but nothing was done within the FBI to look at the emails. He also spoke with the Weiner case prosecutors about the matter, and was told that he needed to keep quiet about his discovery or risk being prosecuted. Grocery Store Worker Fired After Apprehending Purse Snatcher

This good Samaritan stopped a thief from stealing a woman’s purse, and his reward was losing his job.

A Vermont grocery store worker nabbed a purse snatcher — and was fired for his efforts.

Amir Shedyak, 20, who worked at the Hannaford supermarket in his hometown of Essex for four years, and was even an employee of the month, was canned after a heroic act in August. . .

“And he was like — an old lady’s purse just got stolen,” Shedyak, who is also a volunteer fireman, told local CBS station WCAX3. “I look to my right and I see a gentleman running across the parking lot and he had the purse in his hand.”

Shedyak grabbed the suspect from behind and held him down before calling the police. The suspect got away, but Shedyak was able to return the purse.

I got fired from Hannafords after working there for four years. I started out as a bagger and worked my way up to the…

Is Anyone Else Puzzled Over What Joe Biden Did the Day After Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Passing?

By Townhall. . . .You’d think Joey would be out there giving speeches, as some have noted on social media. This fight will galvanize the GOP base. McConnell’s successful blocking of the Merrick Garland nomination and conservatives highlighting the SCOTUS aspect of the 2016 election helped pushed Trump over the top that year. Yet, Trump already had a jacked-up base. Biden has enthusiasm issues with Democrats and this SCOTUS issue could help him get a little life into the equation. Nope. He was too tired. His people called a lid…at 8:34 AM. Yeah, that’s right. He decided to take the day off. I mean, not complaining, but this is odd, right?

Again? Pelosi Doesn’t Rule Out Impeachment to Block SCOTUS Nominee

By Breitbart. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said on Sunday’s broadcast of ABC’s “This Week,” that Democratic lawmakers have “arrows in our quiver,” when asked if impeachment was a possibility to stop a lame-duck Supreme Court nomination should President Donald Trump lose the White House in November and the vacancy following the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has not been filled.

Anchor George Stephanopoulos said, “Let me press you though on what happens. You want people to get out and vote. And even that’s no guarantee that the White House and Senate Republicans won’t try to push through a Supreme Court nomination in a lame-duck session even if Joe Biden wins on November 3rd, even if Democrats win, pick up seats in the House, and maybe even the Senate. So what can you do then? Some have mentioned the possibility if they try to push through a nominee in a lame-duck session that you and the House can move to impeach President Trump or Attorney General Barr as a way of stalling and preventing the Senate from acting on this nomination.”

Pelosi said, “Well, we have our options. We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now, but the fact is we have a big challenge in our country. This president has threatened to not even accept the results of the election with statements that he and his henchmen have made. So right now, our main goal and I think Ruth Bader Ginsburg would want that to be to protect the integrity of the election, that we protect the American people from the coronavirus.” (Read more from “Again? Nancy Pelosi Refuses to Rule Out Impeaching Trump to Stall a Supreme Court Nomination as She Accuses Him of Using SCOTUS Vacancy to Try to ‘Crush the Affordable Care Act’

By Daily Mail. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Sunday refused to rule out pushing forward a privileged impeachment resolution that would have the effect of eating up Senate floor time and potentially stalling a Supreme Court nomination. . .

Host George Stephanopoulos had asked the speaker about impeaching either Trump or Attorney General Bill Barr as part of a strategy to slow the nomination, with Senate Democrats holding little leverage to act on their own, and President Donald Trump saying he will nominate a successor to Ruth Bader Ginsburg this week following Ginsburg’s death Friday. . .

Pelosi said the vacancy would galvanize supporters, and told Americans: ‘You can vote, you can get out the vote.’

She repeated her veiled threat when Stephanopoulos asked her: ‘But to be clear, you’re not taking any arrows out of your quiver, you’re not ruling anything out?’

‘Good morning. Sunday morning,’ she responded, smiling. ‘We have a responsibility, we take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.’ (Read more from “Nancy Pelosi Refuses to Rule Out Impeaching Trump to Stall a Supreme Court Nomination as She Accuses Him of Using SCOTUS Vacancy to Try to ‘Crush the Affordable Care Act'” HERE)

No Surprise: Murkowski Opposes Replacing Ginsburg Before 2020 Election

Following the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Lisa Murkowski became the second Republican senator to say the upper chamber should wait to vote on filling the vacancy on the Supreme Court.

“For weeks, I have stated that I would not support taking up a potential Supreme Court vacancy this close to the election,” Murkowski said in a statement on Sunday. “Sadly, what was then a hypothetical is now our reality, but my position has not changed.”

The Alaska Republican said she didn’t support taking up a nomination in 2016 after the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, and she holds the same stance now. Ginsburg died Friday evening at the age of 87 and Democrats, including presidential nominee Joe Biden, are urging Republicans to wait until the dust has settled in the election contest to move towards confirming a new justice.

“We are now even closer to the 2020 election — less than two months out — and I believe the same standard must apply,” Murkowski said.

Murkowski, along with Susan Collins, are the two Republican senators who have spoken out on their opposition to voting on nominating a new justice to the high court before the election. (Read more from “No Surprise: Murkowski Opposes Replacing Ginsburg Before 2020 Election” HERE)

Trump Rebukes FBI Chief Over Russia Threat: Why No Talk About China?

President Donald Trump on Friday took issue with his FBI director, Christopher Wray, for highlighting the threat posed by Russia and right-wing militias to the U.S. election, rather than focusing on China and left-wing groups.

Trump, whose campaign was accused by political opponents of having murky ties to Russian operatives offering assistance during the 2016 election, has repeatedly challenged intelligence officials’ claims that Moscow still poses the chief danger. . .

Asked by reporters if he wanted to fire Wray, Trump said: “We’re looking at a lot of different things.” . . .

In his remarks on Friday, the president also reiterated his insistence that China, not Russia, is the bigger problem.

“Obviously China is at the top of the list. I see Russia, North Korea, many other countries, can be talked about. But China would be at the top of that list, so I don’t know why that’s not mentioned,” Trump said. (Read more from “Trump Rebukes FBI Chief Over Russia Threat: Why No Talk About China?” HERE)

Teenager Arrested in Connection With ‘Ambush’ Shooting of AZ Trooper

A teen was arrested and a second suspect is in the wind following an “ambush”-style shooting of an Arizona state trooper Thursday, authorities said.

Luis German Espinoza Acuna, 17, allegedly used an AK-47 to fire multiple shots at Arizona Department of Public Safety detectives in a residential area of Phoenix just before 9 a.m., the department said.

Troopers were in the area to execute a warrant on a wanted suspect, according to ABC News. The trooper who was struck was sitting in an unmarked vehicle but was wearing visible police attire, police said.

“There was no question, it was an ambush,” department director Col. Heston Silbert said at a press conference Thursday night. “He was identifiable as a police officer.”

Acuna was a passenger in a silver, four-door Infiniti that pulled up in front of the detective’s vehicle and honked the horn. He then got out of the car and allegedly “immediately opened up and opened fire” on the trooper, who also got out of his vehicle, Silbert said. WATCH: Anti-Trump Professor’s Comments About President’s Supporters Get Her Suspended

A professor at Marshall University in West Virginia was suspended last week after allegedly saying she hoped President Trump’s supporters would all die from the coronavirus, according to reports.

“I’ve become the type of person where I hope they all get it and die,” Professor Jennifer Mosher said while talking to students remotely about how some Trump supporters refuse to wear masks or social-distance, especially at his rallies, The Hill reported. “I’m sorry, but that’s so frustrating — just — I don’t know what else to do. You can’t argue with them, you can’t talk sense with them. I said to somebody yesterday I hope they all die before the election.”

After a student reportedly recorded what Mosher said and posted it on social media — where it went viral — the university issued a statement saying it was “aware of an overtly political statement made by a faculty member in a recent virtual classroom session and widely circulated on social media.

“The University does not support or condone the use of any of its educational platforms to belittle people or wish harm on those who hold differing political views,” the statement said, according to The Hill.

The university added that the professor was removed from the classroom and placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation. (Read more from “Anti-Trump Professor’s Comments About President’s Supporters Get Her Suspended” HERE)

Study: People Who Drive This Car Get the Most Speeding Tickets

It appears that there are two very different kinds of Subaru drivers.

On the one hand, you’ve got the outdoorsy types with the dogs and the camping and all that, but the others have a need for speed and aren’t very good at keeping it to themselves.

A new study from insurance comparison site Insurify that looked at over 2 million insurance applications found that drivers of the Subaru WRX compact sports car are more likely than any to have a speeding ticket on their driving record.

A whopping 20.49% of WRX owners in the group said they had received a citation, which is nearly twice the national average of 10.54%. The WRX also claimed the dubious title last year. (Read more from “Study: People Who Drive This Car Get the Most Speeding Tickets” HERE)
