Man Caught Lighting Ballots on Fire in Boston Dropbox

Authorities have charged a man for allegedly lighting a ballot box on fire and damaging dozens of ballots in Boston over the weekend, police said Monday. The Boston Election Department said 87 of the 122 ballots inside the dropbox were legible and able to be processed, but the rest were destroyed or unable to be counted.

Worldly Armand, 39, was taken into custody late Sunday after officers matched his appearance with the description of a person wanted for the alleged arson, police said. After a query by the officers, they found Armand was wanted on a warrant out of a local court for receiving stolen property. He will be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on a charge of willful and malicious burning.

Police said smoke was coming out of a ballot box near Copley Square early Sunday morning and firefighters extinguished the fire by filling it with water. The Boston Police Department released photos to help find the culprit. . .

City officials last collected ballots at the dropbox Saturday around 2:29 p.m., according to the Boston Election Department. The department said the city would mail a new ballot to all voters whose ballots were identified in the Copley Square dropbox at the time. Former Vice President Joe Biden snapped at a reporter in Pennsylvania on Saturday when he was asked about the allegations made against Hunter Biden. Specifically, Hunter is accused of selling access to his father in a number of shady business deals with a Chinese energy company. Last year Hunter was in the spotlight for being on the board of Burisma, a corrupt Ukrainian gas company, despite having no natural energy experience. He happened to be put on the board at the same time his father, the then-vice president was handling international relations in Ukraine.

“Mr. Biden, if I can, questions and controversies continue today about Hunter Biden, your son –” the reporter started.

“There is no controversy about my son. That’s a hell of a lie! That’s a flat lie because the president has nothing else to run on,” Biden snapped back. “If you notice, while the American people are are talking about what’s happening to their families, he has no plan. In the debate he has no plan. Everything from the Wall Street Journal to every other major news outlet has said what he’s saying is simply not true about my son.” . . .

“But it’s classic Trump, classic Trump. Because he doesn’t want to talk about how manufacturing has gone into a recession, how our economy’s in the hole, how we’re approaching a bleak winter. It’s estimated that 200,000 more people will die of COVID if we don’t act more rapidly in terms of dealing with rational basis, social distancing, wearing masks, etc,” Biden explained. “And what’s he do? He’s going around the country holding these great spreaders of more virus. So he has nothing to say. Think about it. Expert’s Stunning Conclusion: China’s Killing Americans ‘Deliberately’

Well-known China expert Gordon Chang has concluded that China is killing Americans “deliberately” with its export of fentanyl.

Writing for the Gatestone Institute, he quotes Fox News host Tucker Carlson stating it’s a fact that “fentanyl and Covid both came from China, China’s our main rival, they’re benefiting from the deaths of many thousands of Americans.”

Chang writes that China has been pushing fentanyl into the U.S. for years, and last year fatal drug overdoses hit a record 70,980, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. . .

Vanda Felbab-Brown of the Brookings Institution has called it the “deadliest” drug epidemic in American history. . .

WATCH: Hundreds Gather for Trump 2020 Rolling Rally in Kansas

Hundreds of people drove through Topeka, Kansas, on Saturday to show their support for President Donald Trump’s reelection.

A video showed the hundreds of Trump supporters in their vehicles with their Trump 2020 flag signs, all gathered in a single file on the road from the Vinewood Venue, passing by the governor’s mansion and completing their journey at the statehouse in Topeka. . .

Jordan Rigi, the event’s organizer, said it was his aim to bring the silent majority together.

Biden Campaign Announces Live Event After Trump Suggests Joe ‘Waved a White Flag’ in Final Week of Race; Biden Confuses Trump With George Bush (VIDEO)

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump appeared to have smoked former Vice President Joe Biden out of his basement after he mocked his opponent for having “waved a white flag” while speaking with reporters in Pennsylvania on Monday. . .

“He’s waved a white flag on life,” Trump replied when asked for his reaction to Biden’s accusation that the president had “waved the white flag” on fighting the coronavirus pandemic.

“He doesn’t leave his basement,” Trump continued. “This guy doesn’t leave his basement. He is a pathetic candidate, I will tell you that.”

Biden Appears to Confuse Trump With Former President George W. Bush

By New York Post. Joe Biden appeared to confuse President Trump with George Bush during an online fundraising event Sunday and got an assist from his wife Jill Biden who was sitting next to him.

The Democratic presidential candidate was speaking at the “I Will Vote” concert that included John Legend, Dave Matthews, Cher and Pink when he attempted to make the case for his election.

“Not because I’m running, but because who I’m running against, this is the most consequential election in a long, long, long time,” Biden, 77, told moderators George Lopez and CNN analyst Ana Navarro. “And the character of the country in my view is literally on the ballot. What kind of country we’re gonna be? Four more years of George, ah, George, gonna find ourselves in a position where if Trump gets elected we’re going to be in a different world.”

Jill Biden appears to twice say something to her husband after the “George” flubs, with some news outlets and commenters on social media, speculating she may have been saying “Trump” to prod her husband.

CPAC Threatens Legal Action Against ‘Borat 2’

The American Conservative Union (ACU), the organization behind the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), is threatening to sue the makers of the new film “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” due to scenes shot at the 2020 conference earlier this year.

In one scene, a character is shown entering the event dressed in a Ku Klux Klan-inspired outfit. ACU claims this falsely suggested that its organization and the KKK have aligning ideologies.

“Any implication that KKK style hatred would be welcome at CPAC is false and malicious,” attorneys for the ACU said in a letter to the film’s star, Sacha Baron Cohen, and production company Four by Two Films.

The letter demands that the filmmakers “immediately cease and desist from using any content filmed during CPAC in Borat 2 and its trailers[.]”

In the movie, which is a sequel to the 2006 hit comedy, Cohen’s Borat character is depicted as walking through the CPAC venue’s lobby in KKK garb, but according to the ACU and its attorneys, it was really another actor. (Read more from “CPAC Threatens Legal Action Against ‘Borat 2′” HERE)

Court To Review New Definition of ‘Woman’

A court in Scotland will review a case against a government attempt to redefine the word “woman” to include men.

The legal action by a group called For Women Scotland challenges the alteration of a law designed to address the number of women on public boards. The group claims that the definition of “woman” in the Gender Representation on Public Boards (Scotland) Act 2018 was altered to include men who identify as women due to pressure from the Scottish Trans Alliance.

“It should not be possible for Scottish government to redefine protected characteristics in discrete legislation nor undermine U.K. equality law,” the organization said in a statement noted by the U.K.’s Christian Institute

“Governments at Westminster and Holyrood have, shamefully, ignored U.K. law and left ordinary women with the task of defending our legal rights at personal and financial cost.” . . .

Fears Mount as South Korea Probes Cause Behind 36 People’s Deaths After Flu Vaccination

Public concern over the safety of flu shots has grown in South Korea as the authorities reported 36 cases of deaths after vaccination as at 1pm on Friday (Oct 23), putting strain on their efforts to curb a potential “twindemic” of winter flu and the coronavirus.

The country is still grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic, reporting 155 Covid-19 cases on Friday – the highest since Sept 11 and the second day in a row that the number hit triple figures. This brings the total to 25,698.

Health authorities now also have to tackle a deepening fear of the state-administered free flu vaccine programme after two batches of vaccine were found faulty since last month.

South Korea hopes to inoculate some 19 million people for free, especially vulnerable groups such as young children and the elderly, ahead of the annual flu season starting in November when temperatures drop.

NFAC: All-Black Group Is Arming Itself and Demanding Change, Intends To “Self-Police”

When two loud bangs rang out on the streets of Lafayette, Louisiana, no one knew where the gunshots came from as protesters gathered to demand justice for another Black man killed by police.

Among the crowd was a group of armed Black men and women who call themselves the “Not F**king Around Coalition” or NFAC. The group did not run toward the gunshots or break formation. Instead, they kneeled on the ground amid the confusion, and then walked away after their leader shouted, “fall back! fall back!”

The all-Black, Atlanta-based group has grown in size out of frustration during a summer of protests against questionable policing and the deaths of countless Black people at the hands of police, said their founder John Fitzgerald Johnson. . .

Started in 2017, the group has marched in Stone Mountain, Georgia, calling for the removal of the nation’s largest confederate monument; Brunswick, Georgia, for Ahmaud Arbery; Louisville, Kentucky, demanding more transparency in the Breonna Taylor case; and most recently Lafayette, Louisiana, in the name of Trayford Pellerin. CNN Commentator Attacked by Liberals for Saying Trump ‘Has Done Good Stuff for the Black Community’

CNN commentator Van Jones applauded President Donald Trump for the work he has done for the black community. Liberals immediately turned on Jones, lashing out at the progressive pundit for giving Trump even the slightest acknowledgment that the president has attempted to help black Americans.

On Friday night, Jones appeared on CNN with host Jake Tapper. The panel was discussing the final presidential debate, specifically Trump’s comment that he’s “done more for the black community than any other president.”

“Donald Trump — and I get beat up by liberals every time I say this, but I’m gonna keep saying it — he has done good stuff for the black community,” Jones said on CNN. “Opportunity zone stuff, black college stuff. I worked with him on criminal justice stuff. I saw Donald Trump have African American people, formerly incarcerated, in the White House — embraced them, treated them well. There’s a side to Donald Trump that I think he does not get enough credit for.”

Former NFL Hall of Famer and Trump ally Herschel Walker posted the video clip with the caption: “Because @VanJones68 speaks the truth on @realDonaldTrump people get upset. The American people deserve the truth from the MSM!”
