REPORT: Proposed Regulation Could Cost Gun Industry $2 Billion

A proposed firearm regulation from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives could cost the U.S. gun industry $2 billion dollars, dozens of manufacturers told Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, according to the Washington Free Beacon.

Around 80 gun makers cautioned McConnell in a Saturday phone call that the ATF’s move to re-classify weapons with pistol braces would have a sizable financial impact on the industry, the Free Beacon reported, citing several members of the conversation.

Pistol braces, designed to stabilize a shooter’s arm for one-hand firing, allows a buyer to obtain a rifle-style weapon with a short barrel length without a $200 tax fee and waiting period that a traditional short-barreled rifle would, according to Gun News Daily.

Reclassification of the devices may make those in possession of weapons with pistol braces owners of short-barreled rifles, which are illegal to own without the proper registration and paperwork under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The move could criminalize between 3 and 4 million gun owners in addition to the $2 billion price tag projected by manufacturers, according to the Beacon.

Jamin McCallum, founder of Palmetto State Armory, one of the leading manufacturers of AR-15s, predicted a $150 million loss if the ATF followed through with the regulation. McCallum also insisted that inaction by Republicans to stop the agency may have a deleterious effect on the Georgia runoffs. WATCH: Liberals Are Probably Fuming Over These Seven Words Trump Uttered in Rejecting COVID Bill; Trump Demands Congress Add $2000 Direct Payments To Bill

By Townhall. . .Trump was not happy with the amount in the relief checks. He wants a bill with $2,000 payments and has threatened a veto. Yes, I like the veto threat, but it’s probably a symbolic gesture. Trump could whip out the pen, but these current spending and relief bills passed with veto-proof majorities. Should this happen, it will be overridden. I don’t know. I’m not a big fan of harping on moral or symbolic victories. Yet, in his video address regarding these bills, Trump brought the 2020 election into focus, warning that the next administration will have to handle COVID relief, and that administration might be him.

The pastor and Democratic U.S. Senate candidate was not charged with a crime after police found no damage to his wife’s foot. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution first reported on the incident in March as Warnock was just beginning his Senate campaign.

In the video, Warnock denies running over Ndoye’s foot and tells police that disputes between them have escalated as they were at the time in the process of getting a divorce, Fox News reported. A Shocking Amount of Americans Think the 2020 Election Was Stolen in Some Way

. . .A new poll from Rasmussen showed that roughly half the country thinks the election was stolen from Trump in some way. Even with the Trump campaign being unable to successfully argue mass fraud in the courts based on what they thought was solid evidence, half the country still thinks there was fraud (via Rasmussen):

Most voters say this year’s unprecedented level of mail-in voting was largely successful and continue to think President Trump should concede the presidential race. Republicans, however, strongly believe Democrats are likely to have stolen the election.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that [f]orty-seven percent (47%) say it’s likely that Democrats stole voters or destroyed pro-Trump ballots in several states to ensure that Joe Biden would win.

[…]

Sixty-two percent (62%) of Republicans say it’s Very Likely the Democrats stole the election, a view shared by 17% of Democrats and 28% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

Twitter Refuses To Explain Why It Promoted a Chinese Company That Allegedly Tracks Minorities

Twitter refused to explain to the Daily Caller News Foundation why it is promoting a Chinese tech group that allegedly tracks Uigher Muslims.

The DCNF reached out to Twitter multiple times on Tuesday asking why Twitter promoted a Huawei Christmas tweet. A confidential Huawei “interoperability report” obtained by IPVM allegedly found that the Chinese technology companies Huawei and Megvii worked together to test software that would recognize Uigher Muslims and then alert the police.

The report was formerly public on Huawei’s website, though it was marked confidential, and the company deleted it after IPVM reached out for comment, according to IPVM.

Twitter declined to explain to the DCNF why it allowed the promotion of the Huawei tweet. (Read more from “Twitter Refuses To Explain Why It Promoted a Chinese Company That Allegedly Tracks Minorities” HERE)

WATCH: When Finally Asked About Hunter, Joe Biden Retreats To Debunked Russian Disinformation Conspiracy Theory

. . .On Tuesday at a press conference, Biden was asked by Fox News’ Peter Doocy if he still believes the story is Russian disinformation now that his campaign has admitted the corruption investigation is real. After laughing for an odd moment, Biden replied, “Yes, yes, yes,” before chiding Doocy for asking him about it.

This is an astounding claim from Biden given that we now know that the DOJ has had a long and ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s taxes. The investigation is serious enough that Attorney General William Barr kept it secret so it would not influence the election.

Over the past two months, Joe Biden himself has never disputed a single reported aspect of the story. So on what basis does he believe that this is all Russian disinformation?

Biden has grown accustomed to a media that won’t ask him hard questions, but he is about to appoint a new attorney general whose job is to oversee a department that is investigating his own son. If Biden really believes there is no legitimate case against his son, that this is all a plot by Vladimir Putin, then how can we trust him with that choice? White House Doctor To Retire After Embarrassing Travel Scandal (VIDEO)

White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx announced Tuesday she plans to retire after it was revealed Sunday she defied her own COVID travel guidelines over Thanksgiving.

Like numerous government officials, Birx insisted that American families not travel and limit Thanksgiving celebrations to “your immediate household.” However, the day after Thanksgiving, she was caught traveling with multigenerational family members out of state to one of her vacation properties on Fenwick Island in Delaware. Birx told the Associated Press everyone on the Delaware trip was part of her “immediate household,” even though those involved live in two different houses.

Birx had been seeking a position in a potential Biden administration but, after receiving harsh criticism from the American people and her colleagues, she decided to resign instead, saying the experience has been “overwhelming” for her family over the last couple of days. . .

In an interview with Newsy, Birx said she wants to help the Biden administration transition into office but she then plans to retire. “I want the Biden administration to be successful,” Birx said. “I will be helpful in any role that people think I can be helpful in and then I will retire.”

Alleged White Supremacist Plot To Attack U.S. Power Stations Revealed

An alleged plot by white supremacists to attack power stations in the southeastern US next summer was brought to light on Tuesday.

The scheme was detailed in an FBI affidavit mistakenly unsealed last week, The Associated Press reported.

The documents were originally filed under seal, along with a search warrant, in Wisconsin federal court in March, according to the AP.

They alleged that an Ohio teenager with a fondness for Nazi flags discussed the plan — which he dubbed “Light’s Out” — with a small group of people over text in the fall of 2019.

The then-17-year-old said he wanted to create a power outage by shooting rifle rounds into power stations, and there were plans to carry it out next summer, the affidavit states. (Read more from “Alleged White Supremacist Plot To Attack U.S. Power Stations Revealed” HERE)

Americans Have Purchased an Estimated 21 Million Guns This Year

Americans bought a record number of firearms in 2020 amid a year that challenged our conventional wisdom about civil liberties, showed us the delicate balance between law and order and even strained the country’s supply chains. . .

Collectively, Americans bought an estimated 21 million guns this year, an increase of 73 percent from 2019, according to an analysis of FBI background check data from the anti-firearms sales watchdog group The Trace.

Using information from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System and applying methodology to how many of those checks generally equate to gun sales historically, the outlet estimated more than 21 million legal gun sales occurred from January to Nov, 30.
