These Are a Handful of Garbage Items Tossed Into the COVID Relief Bill

There have been complaints – and very valid ones at that – about members of Congress and their staff not having enough time to read the text of the more than 5,000 page document. . .

That begs the question: what is in the bill that is not tied to the pandemic? Here are just a few:

In Deciding the 2020 Election, Congress Will Get the Last Word

The Senate and House will meet in a joint session on Jan. 6, a day the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg labeled the date of “ultimate significance” in our electoral process, to count the recently cast electoral votes. What happens that day will determine the outcome of the presidential election. . .

The Electoral Count Act provides that after the electors in each state and the District of Columbia vote on Dec. 14, they must sign a certificate of their votes that is then sealed and sent to the president of the Senate.

At 1:00 p.m. on Jan. 6, a joint session of Congress convenes, at which the presiding officer opens the states’ certificates in alphabetical order. Each certificate is then presented to “tellers” who read the votes aloud, after which the presiding officer invites objections.

Under the law, objections must be presented in writing and signed by at least one senator and one representative. When a properly made objection is received, the separate houses retreat to their respective chambers for two hours of debate and a vote on whether to count the votes in question.

The chambers must vote separately on each objection. If a majority in each supports the objection, the votes in question are excluded. If the objection garners the support of less than a majority in either chamber, it fails, and the challenged votes are counted. Doctors Put Us Under ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ Orders Without Our Permission During Pandemic

Jon Marsh was helping his elderly mother recover from a bout of ill health when he found the document that made his stomach turn.

Hospital records showed that pensioner Diana Marsh had been placed under a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order in hospital without her family being informed.

This meant that medics would not attempt CPR to save her life if the 85-year-old stopped breathing or her heart failed. . .

She is now recovering but her son is worried the DNR order is still in place despite his demand that it be torn up.

The health care support worker added: “They are doing this to so many people it’s unbelievable. (Read more from “Doctors Put Us Under ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ Orders Without Our Permission During Pandemic” HERE)

Delta Passengers Take Dog, Slip Out of Plane on Emergency Slide

A man, woman and their service dog used the emergency slide to slip out of an airplane that was preparing to take off from LaGuardia Airport on Monday morning.

The passengers opened a cabin door, activating the slide, and took off as the Delta flight bound for Atlanta, Ga., was taxiing out of the runway at around 10:55 a.m., according to law enforcement sources and an airline spokesman.

Antonio Murdock, 31, told Port Authority cops that his post-traumatic stress disorder was triggered on the plane, the sources said.

He and his female companion, 23-year-old Brianna Greco, were arrested in the incident. (Read more from “Delta Passengers Take Dog, Slip Out of Plane on Emergency Slide” HERE)

Georgia Senators: ‘Coordinated Illegal Activities’ Flipped Election to Biden

There’s evidence that workers at State Farm Arena in Atlanta on the night of the election engaged in “coordinated illegal activities” that were sufficient to change the outcome, contend Georiga state senators in a report.

“The events at the State Farm Arena are particularly disturbing because they demonstrated intent on the part of election workers to exclude the public from viewing the counting of ballots, an intentional disregard for the law,” said the report from the state Senate’s Election Law Study Subcommittee.

The senators, the Epoch Times reported, charged that the “number of votes that could have been counted in that length of time was sufficient to change the results of the presidential election and the senatorial contests.”

“Furthermore, there appears to be coordinated illegal activities by election workers themselves who purposely placed fraudulent ballots into the final election totals,” the lawmakers said in the report, issued Thursday.

The chairman of the subcommittee that produced the report, William Ligon, a Republican, said it has not been formally approved by either the subcommittee or the committee. (Read more from “Georgia Senators: ‘Coordinated Illegal Activities’ Flipped Election to Biden” HERE)

This Senator-Elect Indicates He Will Join House-Led Challenge of Electoral College

Congress is set to convene on Jan. 6 to formally count votes cast by the Electoral College. While some House Republicans intend to object to Biden’s electors in some states, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is reportedly working to stamp out such challenges in the upper chamber. One Senator-elect, however, has indicated that he plans to join a House-led effort to challenge the results.

According to reports, Senator-elect Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) may join an effort led by fellow Alabamian GOP Rep. Mo Brooks and challenge the count of the Electoral College.

“You’ll see what’s coming,” Sen.-elect Tuberville, said recently. “You’ve been reading about in the House. We’re going to have to do it in the Senate.”

Rep. Brooks is leading the House effort to challenge the count but needs a single Senator to join his effort. If successful, the bicameral challenge would then trigger a debate and vote over the state electors in both chambers of Congress. While such an objection may delay the outcome of the vote count, it’s not likely to change the results given the current composition of Congress and sentiments on the Hill. WATCH: Anti-Lockdown Protesters Force Way Into Oregon Capitol, Some Armed

A group of anti-lockdown, pro-Trump protesters forced their way into the Oregon Capitol Monday. One report shows some of the protesters were armed with rifles, handguns, and even a pitchfork.

A large group forced their way into the capitol as the legislature met on the opening day of the state’s third special session. The protesters expressed opposition to the state’s ordering of certain businesses to close.

While legislative sessions are normally open to the public, today’s was closed to anyone other than lawmakers, police, some staff, and reporters, the Oregon Statesman-Journal reported. Legislators met to attempt to pass pandemic-relief measures including landlord and tenant assistance.

Reports on social media show the group of protesters gathered outside the Oregon Capitol on Monday morning.

Salem Reporter journalist Jake Thomas tweeted a video showing a woman urging protesters to enter the capitol. One man reportedly shouted that people should be willing to get maced or arrested.

Trump Goes Public With Decision About Martial Law to Hold Another Election; Trump Promises ‘Wild’ Protest in Washington DC on Jan. 6

By WND. On Sunday, President Donald Trump put the rumors to rest that he would declare martial law. . .

Although the Electoral College has declared presumptive President-elect Joe Biden the winner of the Nov. 3 presidential election, the Trump campaign has insisted that there has been voter fraud in states that include Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin, as well as Pennsylvania.

Despite multiple anecdotal claims of voting irregularities, proof has yet to surface that there was a widespread effort to distort the voting process in such a way that would have impacted the final results of the presidential election. Numerous affidavits testifying to various types of election fraud have been filed in courts in several swing states. Zoom Executive Exposed as Chinese Communist Spy

A former executive at Zoom, who shut down video conferences that were not flattering to China, was exposed as a spy for the Chinese Communist Party, according to the Department of Justice.

Xinjiang Jin, aka Julien Jin, was an employee of the American video conferencing company. The 39-year-old, who was based in China’s Zhejiang Province, worked as a “security technical leader” for tech company headquartered in San Jose, California. Jin served as a liaison between Zoom and the Chinese government after Beijing blocked the company’s service in China in September 2019.

Jin provided the Chinese Communist Party with information about users and meetings, even supplying the CCP with IP addresses from anyone who held anti-China sentiments, say federal prosecutors in Brooklyn, New York.

According to the complaint filed in United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, Jin reportedly participated in a plot to disrupt a series of meetings in May and June that commemorated the Tiananmen Square massacre, where at least 280 pro-democracy demonstrators were shot dead.

In the CCP’s bidding, it is reported that at least four video meetings commemorating the 31st anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre were infiltrated and terminated. Jin and his co-conspirators reportedly contrived false accusations, including child porn and terrorism, against Zoom users in the United States.
