South Korea Scrambles Jets as Chinese, Russian Aircraft Enter Air Defense Zone

South Korea said it scrambled fighter jets in response to an intrusion into its air defence identification zone by 19 Russian and Chinese military aircraft on Tuesday.

Four Chinese warplanes entered the Korea Air Defence Identification Zone (KADIZ) followed by 15 Russian aircraft, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

The South Korean military dispatched air force fighters to take tactical measures.

The South Korean military said the Chinese military had informed South Korea that its planes were carrying out routine training before the Chinese aircraft entered the KADIZ. (Read more from “South Korea Scrambles Jets as Chinese, Russian Aircraft Enter Air Defense Zone” HERE)

Vatican: Coronavirus Vaccines ‘Morally Acceptable,’ Even From Aborted Babies

The Vatican announced Monday that it is “morally acceptable” for Roman Catholics to receive vaccines that used cell lines based on research from aborted babies.

“It is morally acceptable to receive COVID-19 vaccines that have used cell lines from aborted fetuses” in research and production when “ethically irreproachable” vaccines are not available, the Vatican concluded according to the Associated Press. The Vatican emphasized, however, that “licit” uses of these vaccines “does not and should not in any way imply that there is a moral endorsement of the use of cell lines proceeding from aborted fetuses.”

The potential that the highly anticipated coronavirus vaccines would use cells from aborted babies posed weighty moral problems for many Americans who object to abortion — particularly Catholics, since the Catholic Church says abortion is a “crime against human life.”

The COVID-19 vaccines that have begun to be distributed in various countries will probably have used cell lines “drawn from tissue obtained from two abortions that occurred in the last century,” the Vatican said, according to the AP. The Vatican also emphasized that “health authorities do not allow citizens to choose the vaccine with which to be inoculated,” the publication reported.

It is unclear whether 84-year-old Pope Francis will be vaccinated against the virus or what vaccine he will receive if he is vaccinated, the AP reported. (Read more from “Vatican: Coronavirus Vaccines ‘Morally Acceptable,’ Even From Aborted Babies” HERE)

More U.S. Lawmakers Join Electoral College Challenge

Joining about a dozen Republican colleagues who pledge to challenge Electoral College votes on Jan. 6, a Texas congressman has formally asked his state’s two U.S. senators to join him.

Republican Rep. Lance Gooden said in a letter Tuesday to Republican Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn: “I intend to object to the certification of the Electoral College vote submissions on January 6th, and I respectfully ask you to stand with me,” the Epoch Times reported.

A challenge to any state’s Electoral College votes submitted to Congress for certification requires at least one House representative and one senator to object. The House and Senate then would each vote on the challenge. A majority of both chambers would be required to reject a state’s votes. If both Biden and Trump lacked the required 270 electoral votes, the House would choose the president, with one vote for each state delegation, and the Senate the vice president.

“We must stand up for the tens of millions of Americans who want answers to the irregularities surrounding this election,” Gooden wrote. “It is our duty to ensure the integrity of our election is unwavering, and the American people deserve to feel confident their vote matters.”

Gooden called for “a full audit of every ballot in states like Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania,” where there have been “widespread reports” of fraud and irregularities. (Read more from “More U.S. Lawmakers Join Electoral College Challenge” HERE)

Flight from the Cities: Supply of Existing Homes for Sale Hits Record Low

Sales of previously owned U.S. homes fell in November as supply fell to a record low and prices continued to climb.

Existing-home sales fell 2.5 percent in November from October to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 6.69 million, the National Association of Realtors said Tuesday. But even with the decline, sales are up a massive 25.8 percent compared with a year ago.

This was the highest sales rate for November since 2005.

The push for big-city residents to buy homes away from dense urban centers has created a severe shortage of houses on the market. Total housing inventory declined from the prior month and one year ago to 1.28 million, enough to last 2.3 months at the current sales pace – both record-low figures. That represents a 22 percent decline compared with a year ago.

“Housing affordability, which had greatly benefitted from falling mortgage rates, are now being challenged due to record-high home prices,” said Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist. “That could place strain on some potential consumers, particularly first-time buyers.” (Read more from “Flight from the Cities: Supply of Existing Homes for Sale Hits Record Low” HERE)

How the GOP Plans to Challenge the Election Results; Trump Teases ‘Big News’ From Pennsylvania

By Townhall. President Donald Trump on Monday met with a handful of Republican members of Congress about how to move forward with challenging the results of the 2020 presidential election.

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows tweeted after the meeting saying the group is “preparing to fight back against mounting evidence of voter fraud.”

. . .According to Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL), a number of Republican legislators have questions about voting irregularities that took place.

“I believe we have multiple senators and the question is not if but how many,” Brooks told CNN.

One of Brooks’ goals is to challenge election results in a minimum of six battleground states, although there’s a potential for more. He is also hoping to get 72 lawmakers – between both chambers – to make five minute speeches, something he dubs “a significant task.” (Read more from “How the GOP Plans To Challenge the Election Results” HERE)

Trump Teases ‘Big News’ From Pennsylvania

By WND. President Trump on Monday announced “big news” is coming from Pennsylvania after his legal time filed a petition with the U.S. Supreme Court in a case challenging the outcome of the 2020 election.

“Big news coming out of Pennsylvania,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Very big illegal ballot drop that cannot be accounted for. Rigged Election!” . . .

At a public hearing held by Pennsylvania lawmakers and President Trump’s campaign on Nov. 25, a witness drew gasps when he described “spikes” in the vote count the evening of the election in which Joe Biden gained 570,000 votes to the president’s 3,200.

Meanwhile, a U.S. Postal Service contractor, Jesse Morgan, has claimed his trailer full of from 144,000 to 288,000 completed mail-in ballots disappeared after he delivered them from New York state to a Lancaster, Pennsylvania, depot.

The overnight spikes in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh reported at the November hearing came after Trump held a lead of some 700,000 votes. The official count ended with a Biden lead of some 80,000. (Read more from “Trump Teases ‘Big News’ From Pennsylvania” HERE)

Former Judge: Court System ‘Deeply Intimidated’ by the Left

A former judge from Wisconsin, who is now representing the Trump campaign in the state, told lawmakers that he believes intimidation by the left has prevented lawyers and judges from accepting and hearing election fraud cases.

“We have to acknowledge that the court system has been deeply intimidated by the left, just as the lawyers have been intimidated,” James Troupis told the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Dec. 16. “And that’s a sad, sad state of affairs.”

The committee was conducting a hearing to explore voting “irregularities” from the 2020 general election. During the hearing, witnesses testified about a litany of alleged instances of election fraud occurring in multiple contested states.

Their claims are backed up by mounting evidence from witnesses, whistleblowers, and data experts that have emerged in recent weeks, alleging that a proportion of ballots cast and counted in these battleground states were done so under irregular and fraudulent circumstances. Much of the evidence was presented through affidavits in the lawsuits filed by the Trump campaign or third parties, and through state legislature hearings hosted by Republicans.

During the Senate hearing, Troupis, one of the witnesses, explained why he decided to represent the campaign in its effort to challenge election results when many lawyers refused. He said that he believes many prominent law firms didn’t want to participate in the lawsuits because of fear of retaliation by the left. Brazilian President Fears a Horrible Side Effect From COVID Vaccine… It’s Not What You Think

. . .In the film, “I Am Legend,” scientists re-engineered the measles vaccine to cure cancer. It instead wipes out most of humanity. Most of those who didn’t die in the aftermath mutated into vampire-like albino creatures. The rest, a small sliver, to say the least, were immune but consumed by the vampires. Will Smith, who plays Dr. Robert Neville, explains it better in the movie. That’s what Brazil’s president thinks will happen with the COVID vaccine…sort of.

President Jair Bolsonaro thinks the shot could turn people into alligators (editor’s note: he was joking, see below). Now, from the transcript, he sounds like he’s just trying to give an example of a side effect before hitting on his main point, which is that Pfizer could have legal immunity if anything goes terribly wrong from some people who take it. (via NY Post):

Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro shocked even his staunchest supporters this week with an expletive-filled tirade against the COVID-19 vaccine, despite 7.1 million cases of the virus in the country and over 185,000 deaths.

“I’m not going to get [the vaccine]. Some say I’m setting a bad example. Hey a–hole, oh idiot, what are you saying about the bad example, I already had the virus, I already have antibodies. Why should I get the vaccine again?” Bolsonaro said in a speech captured by the news service UOL to a crowd in Porto Seguro. Bolsonaro contracted COVID-19 earlier this year. . .

“And another thing that has to be made very clear,” Bolsonaro charged. “There in the Pfizer contract, it is very clear that we (Pfizer) are not responsible for any side effect. If you become an alligator, it is your problem. … And what is worse, tampering with people’s immune systems.”

WATCH: Nurse Faints While Talking To Press About Getting COVID-19 Vaccine

This is the scary a moment a nurse who had just received the coronavirus vaccine at a Tennessee hospital told reporters she was feeling dizzy and then fainted.

Nurse manager Tiffany Dover received the Pfizer-BioNTech jab at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga on Thursday and was giving a press briefing when she began to trail off, according to WTVC-9.

“All of my staff, you know, we are excited to get the vaccine. We are in the COVID unit, so therefore, you know, my team will be getting first chances to get the vaccine,” Dover said.

“And I know that it’s really … Sorry, I’m feeling really dizzy,” she continued.

Nearly 60 West Point Cadets Admit To Cheating in Worst Academic Scandal in Decades

The U.S. Military Academy at West Point accused over 70 of its cadets of cheating on an exam, marking the academy’s worst academic violation since 1976, USA Today reported Monday.

Fifty-eight cadets admitted to cheating on a remote math exam, according to USA Today. Most of the cadets have been enrolled in a rehabilitation program and will be on probation for the duration of their time at West Point.

“There’s no excuse for cheating when the fundamental code for cadets is that they should not lie, cheat or steal,” Tim Bakken, a law professor at West Point told USA Today. “Therefore when the military tries to downplay effects of cheating at the academy, we’re really downplaying the effects on the military as a whole. We rely on the military to tell us honestly when we should fight wars, and when we can win them.”

West Point instructors concluded 72 first year cadets and one in their second year cheated on a May calculus final when all them made the same mistake, according to USA Today. So far, two cases have been dismissed and four dropped after cadets resigned. The academy determined that, out of the 67 remaining cases, 55 cadets violated the honor code and the cadets have been enrolled in the Willful Admission Program. Half a Million Americans Have Received COVID Vaccine

More than 550,000 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the United States with more to come, just as Congress approves another round of aid.

The U.S. government began its massive vaccination rollout last week, starting with administering the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine to front-line healthcare workers. So far, at least 556,208 doses have been administered, a number that is expected to balloon as more doses of the Pfizer vaccine and first doses of the Moderna vaccine are administered to healthcare providers and long-term care facilities.

The first 5.9 million doses of the Moderna vaccine shipped out over the weekend and arrived at some hospitals Monday morning, in addition to another 2 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Moderna said it will be able to deliver 20 million doses of the vaccine by the end of December and another 80 million in the first few months of 2021.

President-elect Joe Biden and incoming first lady Jill Biden were given the first of two doses of the Pfizer vaccine in Wilmington, Delaware, Monday in part as a way to help increase confidence in the shot. (Read more from “Half a Million Americans Have Received COVID Vaccine” HERE)
