Alabama Senate Votes to Make Hormone Therapy and Surgery for Minors a Felony

Under a new law, transgender youth in Alabama could not be treated with puberty-blockers, hormone therapy or surgery. The state Senate voted to make the treatment a felony on Tuesday.

Senators voted 23-4 to approve the measure, dubbed the Vulnerable Child Compassion and Protection Act, sponsored by Republican Senator Shay Shelnutt. The bill now heads to the state House of Representatives, which has already approved a companion bill.

The two bills would make it a felony for medical professionals to treat transgender minors under the age of 19 with gender-affirming care. Violators could face up to 10 years in prison or a $15,000 fine.

The bill also requires school staff in the state to disclose to parents that “a minor’s perception that his or her gender is inconsistent with his or her sex.” Essentially, teachers would be required to “out” transgender students to their guardians — regardless of whether they are ready to do so.

Cuomo Signed Law Lowering the Bar for Sexual Harassment

Before he was accused of sexual harassment, New York governor Andrew Cuomo (D.) signed a bill that dramatically lowered the bar for proving harassment claims—a bar his accusers would almost certainly clear.

The bill, signed into law in 2019, says harassment need not be “severe or pervasive” to be considered unlawful; any action that rises above “petty slights and trivial inconveniences” can qualify. If a male supervisor makes a female employee uncomfortable by asking her out to lunch, one New York employment lawyer told the Washington Free Beacon, “that could be the basis for a claim.”

Cuomo is the latest liberal to fall prey to liberalism’s evolving standards of sexual misconduct. As more women have come forward in the face of the MeToo movement, more men have found themselves on the hook for behavior once deemed unobjectionable. Left-leaning figures, from Chris Matthews to Aziz Ansari to Neil deGrasse Tyson to Garrison Keillor, saw their careers falter or implode over ambiguous accusations, causing some to wonder whether MeToo had gone too far. If the bill he signed is any indication, Cuomo did not share those concerns.

The governor’s alleged transgressions far exceed the standard set by the 2019 law. His first accuser, Lindsey Boylan, said Cuomo invited the former aide to play strip poker on a government plane, made suggestive allusions to Bill Clinton’s affair with Monica Lewinsky, and kissed Boylan on the lips without her consent. His second accuser, Charlotte Bennett, said the governor indicated interest in a sexual relationship with her while she was working in his office as a health policy adviser. Bennett, who is 25, told the New York Times Cuomo asked her if she’d “ever been with an older man,” adding that “age doesn’t matter” in relationships. CPAC Stage Critics Attacked as a ‘Nazi Symbol’ Was Designed by ‘Very Liberal’ Organization

Leftists and corporate media went berserk this past weekend over the crazy idea that the shape of the stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference resembled a Nazi symbol. Not only is this conspiratorial nonsense and just another attempt by Democrats to slander Republicans as all bigots and racists, but the owner of the company that designed the stage is “very liberal,” according to reporter Yashar Ali.

As the National Pulse points out, Design Foundry, which designed the stage, has worked with organizations such as MSNBC and Google. It worked on the 2018 Biden Cancer Summit as well as the 70th anniversary of MSNBC’s “Meet the Press” in 2017. Design Foundry also produced work for the 2017 Summit for New America, which is operated by former members of the Obama administration. Of the $7,766.50 that Design Foundry employees spent on federal elections, a mere 1.8 percent ($140) even went to a Republican candidate.

Design Foundry says it had “no idea” that the design of the CPAC stage in any way resembled a Nazi symbol, as members of the left contend. The company is also “horrified” at leftist accusations that it supposedly showcased such an alleged symbol after it presented CPAC with several to choose from.

‘Racist’ Dr. Seuss Books Are Now Spiking in Value

As you might expect, the six Dr. Seuss children’s books that are now out of print due to complaints about racist imagery in their pages are now collectors’ items. . .

The titles in question are “If I Ran the Zoo,” “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street,” “McElligot’s Pool,” “On Beyond Zebra!,” “Scrambled Eggs Super!” and “The Cat’s Quizzer.” . . .

“If I Ran the Zoo” in hardback was going for $995 at its lowest price on Amazon; no paperbacks were available. On eBay, a decent-looking hardback copy was going for a low “buy it now” price of $200 — all the way up to $9,999. (There also was a copy going for $1 million, believe it or not.)

“And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street” in hardback was going for $1,399 at its lowest price on Amazon; no paperbacks were available. On eBay, a decent-looking hardback was going for a low “buy it now” price of $150, while the most expensive “buy it now” hardback was $100,000.

How about “McElligot’s Pool”? Well, the lowest price for a collectible hardback was $999 on Amazon (while the paperback was only $349.99). $140 Million ‘Pelosi Subway’ Axed From Senate COVID Bill

. . .Funding for a rail project near House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s California district that Republicans denounced as wasteful was removed Tuesday from President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus bill.

The Senate parliamentarian ruled the $140 million appropriation wasn’t allowed under the so-called Byrd rule that polices unrelated items in budget reconciliation bills.

Republicans singled out the rail project as an example of unrelated “pork” in the bill, which is being rammed through Congress without Republican support using special rules that allow a simple majority vote in the Senate.

Miracle: Baby Boy Comes ‘Back to Life’ After Being Pronounced Dead

. . .Kingston [Lane] was born in April 2020 at only 24 weeks and weighed one pound, seven ounces. He spent the first seven months of his life in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at a hospital in Louisville. . .

On Saturday, [mother] Brittany [Lane] noticed Kingston was sick and thought it may be stomach irritation. However, on Sunday, she says he looked lifeless and was taken to the emergency room at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

Brittany says his heart was also giving out. Medical teams did ten rounds of chest compressions.

“They were on the ninth one, and they were like, ‘Mrs. Lane, one more time and that’s all we can do for him,’” Lane recalled. “He was completely blue, no pulse, no heartbeat and cold. Super cold.” . . .

Insanity: Airline Reportedly Kicks off Family Due To Maskless Baby (VIDEO)

Frontier Airlines said they cancelled a flight from Florida on Sunday after a “large group” of passengers refused to wear masks — but the family involved claims they were booted simply because of a maskless baby.

The fracas took place aboard flight 2878, which was set to depart Miami en route to LaGuardia Airport at 7 p.m. until the disagreement forced all passengers to deplane and reschedule a flight for the next morning. . .

However, fellow passenger Hershey Greenbaum told The Post the child seemed to be the reason for the family’s removal.

“We were all on the plane when they [flight attendants] came on and saw the 18-month-old baby without a mask,” Greenbaum said.

China Makes COVID-19 Anal Swabs Mandatory for Foreigners

China has made anal COVID-19 swabs mandatory for all foreign travelers arriving in the country, a report said Wednesday.

The government has claimed that such tests provides a higher degree of accuracy than other screening methods for the virus, the Times UK reported.

As part of the new travel requirement, there will be testing hubs in Beijing and Shanghai airports, the outlet reported.

DHS Makes Dangerous Illegal Aliens Twitter Alert Account Private

The Department of Homeland Security changed its Immigration and Customs Enforcement Alert (@ICEAlert) Twitter account to private. The social media account was previously used to spotlight dangerous illegal migrants living in the United States after being freed by sanctuary cities.

The ICE Alert account is now “protected.” Protected tweets are only visible to Twitter users who are allowed to follow that account. The tweets cannot be reposted.

Jon Feere, a former senior employee at ICE under President Donald Trump, said in a series of tweets that the Biden administration locked ICE’s public safety alert account, which was used to inform the public about the criminal illegal aliens freed by sanctuary cities.
