Chauvin Trial Juror Admits She Feared Backlash Depending On Verdict

During an interview with KARE 11 a juror for the trial of ex-Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin, who ultimately found out she was an alternate, expressed concern about being called for the job because she “didn’t want to see rioting again” and was scared people would show up at her home if they were unhappy with a particular verdict.

Raguse: Did you want to be a juror?

Christensen: I had mixed feelings. There was a question on the questionnaire about it and I put I did not know. The reason, at that time, was I did not know what the outcome was going to be, so I felt like either way you are going to disappoint one group or the other. I did not want to go through rioting and destruction again and I was concerned about people coming to my house if they were not happy with the verdict.

By Daily Caller. Dozens of climate activists dumped wheelbarrows purportedly filled with cow poop outside the White House during an Earth Day protest Thursday against President Joe Biden’s “bullsh*t” climate plan.

Protesters with the climate activist group Extinction Rebellion D.C. packed what appeared to be cow manure in pink-colored wheelbarrows near Rawlins Park earlier Thursday morning, according to WUSA 9. They said their plan was to dump the manure at the eastern entrance of the White House “in response to Biden’s bullsh*t climate plan.”

Demonstrators could also be heard chanting “Bullsh*t” and “No more climate crisis” while marching down the street. They also held banner that read, “Declare a climate emergency now” and “Biden’s 2030 plan = mass death,” according to WUSA 9.

AOC Declares Racism Causing Global Warming

By Breitbart. Radical Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) relaunched the Green New Deal on Earth Day Eve by suggesting climate change is caused by racial injustice.

“The climate crisis is a crisis born of injustice, and it is a crisis born of the pursuit of profit at any and all human and ecological cost,” she claimed.

“Which means that we must recognize in legislation that the trampling of indigenous rights is a cause of climate change, that the trampling of racial justice is a cause of climate change,” she doubled down.

The member of Congress turned Twitter star connected the dots of her conviction. “Because we are allowing people … to deny ourselves human rights and deny people the right to health care, the right to housing and education,” she alleged. Biden Can Fulfill ‘a Lot’ of Climate Pledge Through Executive Orders, Kerry Says

By Washington Examiner. Climate envoy John Kerry suggested Thursday that the White House can lean on executive orders to achieve President Joe Biden’s aggressive new target of cutting U.S. emissions 50% to 52% by 2030.

Kerry was asked at the White House press briefing how the U.S. pledge, submitted to the United Nations as part of the Paris Agreement, is credible with so much Republican opposition to it.

“A lot of the plan is executable through executive order,” Kerry responded.

A mother tore into school board members for requiring children to wear masks despite evidence that kids are largely safe from COVID-19, demanding, “take these masks off of my child.”

In remarks that have since gone viral on social media, Georgia mother Courtney Ann Taylor criticized Gwinnett County Board of Education members for speaking about “social, emotional health” for months, telling them, “If you truly mean that, you would end the mask requirement tonight. Tonight.”

“This is not March 2020 anymore,” Taylor said. “We have three vaccines, every adult in the state of Georgia that wants that vaccine is eligible to get it, right now, and every one of us knows that young children are not affected by this virus.”

“They’re not,” Taylor said, as she began to get emotional, “and that’s a blessing.” “But as the adults what have we done with that blessing? We’ve shoved it to the side and we’ve said we don’t care, ‘You’re still gonna wear a mask on your face every day, 5 and 6-year-olds, you still can’t play together on the playground like normal children, 7 and 8-year-olds,’” she said.

Concerning Report: Christians Increasingly Targets Of ‘Polite Persecution’

Beneath the cloak of “progress,” an increasingly hostile secularism is threatening Christians in the West with a “polite persecution,” contends an annual report on religious freedom worldwide.

“If Christians in the Middle East need to fear the machete, Christians in the Western world need to fear the media, higher education, activist organizations and government,” says Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League, in a commentary on the report. “They are the ones advocating, or imposing, a secular agenda on religious institutions.” . . .

The persecution of Christians takes two forms today, the report says. Everyone is familiar with the violence against people and property, but there is a more subtle form, Donahue said, “relying on restrictive measures encoded in public policy and law.”

The second form is called “polite persecution,” the ACN report explains, because it hides under a veneer of “enlightened” secularism.

China Promotes ‘Green Belt and Road’ at Biden Climate Summit

Chinese dictator Xi Jinping used his appearance Thursday morning at the Biden administration’s Leaders Summit on Climate to promote China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), a debt trap program in which China offers predatory loans to developing countries in exchange for helping build infrastructure.

President Joe Biden invited dozens of world leaders to address the virtual summit on the occasion of Earth Day, an unofficial holiday promoting environmentalism, and offer proposals to reduce global pollution rates and discuss international programs to slow climate change.

China is the world’s biggest polluter, responsible for 28 percent of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions, according to the Union of Concerned Scientists. That rate is over twice the amount of carbon emissions as the United States, the world’s second-largest emitter. China has boasted that it intends to increase carbon emissions over the next decade and only “peak” by 2030, as permitted by the Paris Climate Agreement, while condemning Western nations whose carbon emissions have been steadily declining in the past decade.

President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement during his tenure, but Biden reversed course and recommitted the U.S. to the deal as one of his first acts in office.

Shocking new bodycam footage captures the moment an irate Louisiana cop repeatedly zaps a 67-year-old man with a Taser, taunting the man by telling him to scream.

“Scream again,” Police Officer Nolan Dehon is heard telling Izell Richardson during the encounter in Port Allen last month. “Go ahead, scream. Scream again.”

When Richardson, who is handcuffed, yells for help from the back of the police cruiser, Dehon zaps him twice, KMOV-TV reported.

The 45-minute video shows Dehon still arguing with Richardson at the stationhouse — even as the elderly victim is being taken to the hospital.

GOP Infrastructure Plan Nixes Far-Left Wishlist

Senate Republicans on Thursday have formally countered President Joe Biden’s $2.25 trillion proposal at $568 billion.

The proposal maintains the 21 percent corporate tax rate and current state and local tax (SALT) deductions, opposing Biden’s tax hike to 28 percent and Senate Democrats’ proposal of 25 percent. The initiative also includes raising “taxes on those making more than $400,000 a year,” Axios reported.

Moreover, the Republican initiative focuses on traditional infrastructure items, such as roads, bridges, water storage, broadband, and ports. The plan does not include the Democrats’ “Orwellian campaign” that seeks to relabel many far-left policies as “infrastructure.” . . .

Meanwhile, Biden’s $2.25 proposal hit another wall Wednesday when Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) said he would like to see bipartisanship on the measure. “I would hope to see Democrats and Republicans agreeing on infrastructure – infrastructure by itself,” he told reporters.

Blacks In Portland Demand End To Antifa Violence

Leaders of the black community in Portland, Oregon, have written a letter to Antifa and other radical leftists telling them to stop causing trouble – in the name of helping blacks.

“Over the last year we have watched as people have profited from and damaged our movement without our consent or approval,” the letter, posted on the Weouthere website, said.

The site explained the letter was in response “to ongoing behavior seen as detrimental to Black Liberation.”

The letter, signed by dozens of writers, speakers, artists, teachers, parents and professionals, said, “As Black Oregonians concerned with the ongoing lack of accountability for the police violence that continues to disproportionately impact Black communities, the disabled, those with mental illness, the unhoused, and other marginalized people, it is important for us to stand in solidarity and state our shared values.” . . .

So, they explained, “We need our allies in this fight to understand and honor this fact. Understand that doing damage to us, our communities, and our resources undoes the work we do. Black people are not a monolith, and having a complicit Black person in your planning space does not indicate support from the Black community. New Bill Would Force Health Insurers to Buy Babies for Gay and Single People

The inability to conceive and carry a pregnancy seems to be on the rise for couples in the Western world, due to the rise in the age at which they seek to conceive and for other known and unknown reasons. But also on the rise is the number of gay couples and single women who wish to conceive, and even though they are not technically infertile, they would like insurance companies to think they are.

A new bill in the Illinois legislature, introduced in February and now standing at 25 sponsors, seeks to wholly redefine what it means to be “infertile.”

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Protection defines infertility as “not being able to get pregnant (conceive) after one year (or longer) of unprotected sex.” But this new law is not about that, as Illinois law already requires that Illinois insurance companies cover fertility services for couples who have attempted to conceive for a year regardless of whether those attempts are through sexual intercourse or other means, or where an individual has been diagnosed with a fertility-impacting medical condition.

Through the Illinois Family Building Act of 1991 and 1997, and a 2010 ruling by the Illinois Department of Insurance, the fertility benefit mandate applies to women who are physiologically unable to conceive and carry a pregnancy regardless of how they attempt to conceive.

The new bill in Illinois, HB 3709, actually has nothing to do with infertility. Instead, it would mandate that all health insurance plans sold in the state pay for fertility-related services for single people and same-sex couples regardless of whether, physiologically, they have any impairment in their fertility at all. House Approves Democrats D.C. Statehood Plan

The House on Thursday voted to approve what has been described as a Democrat “power grab” – a plan to make the District of Columbia the 51st state and line up two more party members in the Senate. . .

It’s because, the report said, “The district’s population of more than 700,000 residents reliably votes for Democrats and would, without question, send two additional Democratic senators to Congress.”

The vote was 216-208 along party lines but has a low likelihood of survival in the Senate, where Democrats would need at least 10 Republican senators to support their political maneuver.

Democrats have lobbied for the plan, saying taxpaying District residents are denied representation in Congress.

“Congress has the moral obligation and the constitutional authority to pass H.R. 51,” claimed Eleanor Holmes Norton, a Democrat who now is Washington’s nonvoting member of the House. (Read more from “House Approves Democrats D.C. Statehood Plan” HERE)
